Fantastic experience: Lovely workouts and plenty of people getting fit and helping each other with the equipment and exercises
Fantastic experience: Love this gym, exactly what you need and at an affordable price point. Great team and nice gym community. A big thanks to Fitness Manager Josh especially - when I visited the gym initially (on what was also his first day apparently) he gave me a tour and helped me sign up which was really convenient. I then booked a taster session for my first visit where he showed me how all the machines work and how to use them safely (definitely needed after 5 years out of the gym)
Positive experience: I joined Catford and am impressed with the management. (Joshua & Harry) The staff is friendly and helpful. They listen to feedback and make improvements, like adding new classes and checking equipment is safe. The gym is always clean, and safety is a priority. They also create a strong community through events and challenges that keep us motivated. Overall, Catford is a fantastic place to work out. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: A gym with many members does not maintain its equipment, such as this bicycle, requiring another smith. The price is not so good when you have to wait a long time to use a device. They don't invest in improvements, there is a lack of hygiene.

Positive experience: It’s crowded all the time. Very good machines. Hate the leg extension machine, it’s so painful that they should replace it in all the gyms.

Positive experience: One of the nicest and cleanest gyms so far. Has good training equipment. The only two things which I feel needs improving are cleaning stations and no boxing bag. For some reason the boxing bag no longer exists and no cleaning stations around as advertised in the gym group videos. Other than that for the price you pay it's a good gym.

Robust cleaning regimes are still in place and we continue to pump in 100% fresh air ventilation, day and night, we clean on a daily basis, including cleaning of all equipment and gym facilities with anti-viral products. We encourage members to bring in a sweat towel to use after they have used a piece of equipment. Having cleaning stations has resulted in a significant increase in the amount of paper waster and we are focussed on minimising our waste as part of our commitment to Net-Zero. We are proud to be the very first Carbon Neutral Gym Chain in the UK. This is just a part of our efforts, for example we are also taking steps to reduce the amount of single use plastics in our vending machines.
Fantastic experience: Great gym, spacious with really friendly staff and amazing classes, Gym group is probably the best out of the other mainstream gyms I’ve attended. Have attended Kris’ classes and he's probably one of the best instructors I’ve had.
Fantastic experience: I went to this gym for the first time yesterday with my friend and it seems like a great gym! Good enough space to do whatever you need to, good atmosphere and more. I 100% intend on coming back here when I can.
Positive experience: its good. there is no hogging of benches. only shortage is of squat racks . only 2. Also I see very little variety of chest machines - be great to have a flat plate loaded press . Also one or two more leg machines. Some people need to be mindful of their hygiene.

Positive experience: Very spacious gym with a lot of equipment, sometimes the leather on machines is cracked and broken machines take time to be fixed, but that's standard in commercial gyms

Positive experience: Spacious gym with lots of equipment and large changing rooms. Shocked at the hygiene standards. Nothing available to wipe down equipment which should be the bare minimum and limited hand sanitizer. Haven’t seen this in other gyms in 2024?! So most machines are very dirty and people cannot wipe them down between sessions which is off putting.

Positive experience: Hey people it’s Kay here from your cafè. I’m here today to tell you about the experience I had at this gym. For some background earlier in the month my husband told me I was getting a bit “rotund” so I decided to join the gym to slim down a bit in my old age. When I first stepped in I was mind-boggled about how to get into the building and got trapped in the plastic tube at the entrance. I went on the treadmill and the bike and felt my McDonald’s breakfast burning off. I then saw a machine in the corner called the Fitquest machine and asked a member of staff how to use it. I was absolutely SHOCKED when the machine wasn’t working as I was told. The staff member tried several times but the machine wouldn’t work for me but worked perfectly with others. I was extremely FRUSTRATED as I wanted to see my progress for that day but alas the machine did not like me. I have yet to go back as my legs were so sore I couldn’t walk properly for a week.

Positive experience: Overall, I do like this gym and the options available in terms of equipment, plus staff are always friendly and willing to help. The equipment/machines however could use more regular deep cleaning though, especially after being told how many people can visit per DAY (think quadruple numbers). We know not everyone places emphasis on regularly washing their hands...or self as a whole .

Positive experience: Decent affordable gym, improvements should be made on making disinfectant more available (haven’t seen any in the gym in a while) and new modern equipment such as hip thrust machines, climbing walls etc Update: there is still NO spray and tissue around, people are literally resorting to bringing their own wipes. I do think for a fairly ok gym this brings it down massively

Fantastic experience: This spacious gym is great especially during the day when it's never busy. There are plenty of machines. I can get my workout done in no time. The gym staff are very friendly. I was spoken to by a lovely personal trainer named Chris on my first few visits. It's lovely to have someone to talk to. I have been to a number of gyms where staff don't even acknowledge your existence.

Positive experience: the gym is good but... there is a lack of variety of equipment for each muscle, there is a lot of repeated equipment but it could only have one of each and have a greater variety for each muscle, I hope they visit other gyms e.g. NRG to get an idea of good equipment.

Positive experience: the gym in carford is good but I miss some basic equipment.. for example chest press I have shoulder problems and I can't do free exercises like bench press etc, and there is space for more equipment, I will have to go back to NRG in Lewisham as it is more complete in equipment I hope one day they add more different equipment so I can go back to the gym

Fantastic experience: Changed from PureGym. Is so big that the amount of people really don’t matter So many machines and very spacious.. nice gym. I would recommend. Prices are a bit much. Not the cheapest 24 hour gym on ends

Everyone talking loudly on their phones and watching tiktok. While sitting on equipment. Staff are rude and unhelpful. Manager is on his phone the whole time. Clique culture rules here. Worst gym and crowd in london.

Fantastic experience: Gym was good this morning. Felt like we need a sauna in place to make it an excellent service for all.
Positive experience: Please shower and consider your fellow gym goers. Today and the other odd days. I should have had air fresheners and a WWII gas mask in my gym bag. Why? Because certain men come into the gym smelling of BO and exercise without considering how nauseous their armpits are. I get it it's a gym .... But I shower everyday and after working out still smell great.

Negative experience: No sanitiser sprays or tissues to wipe away other people's sweat. That's too unhygienic for me. I've noticed that many gym users have also mentioned this in their reviews and the response from the management team has been that it will be sorted. That was months ago and still no sprays. It cannot be that hard to buy them!! That was my first and last visit.

Negative experience: Recently the gym has become really untidy and it takes time for things to be fixed. Additionally, the gym has removed all hand sanitisers, cleaning sprays and cleaning tissues. No one cleans their machines afterwards so if you want to use a clean non-sweaty machine, you have to bring your own cleaning wipes and tissues.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym its a great place to be. The people are nice, no one seems to judge, you can tell people like being there and its a great atmosphere. PT Nori is the best she's so supportive and a great PT, she knows her stuff and she's human just like you and me (except she's superhuman ha ha). Great place

Negative experience: Update Sun 13 August - Shower walls STILL have same grime marks from over 2 months ago. I will have to bring my own cleaning products next time I visit, as the cleaning sprays in the gym area have now been removed. Update 1 August - Same grime marks all over shower walls. Update 16 July - Still haven’t been cleaned with extra grime on front door now. Update 14 July - Still haven’t been cleaned. Update: 13 July - Still haven’t been cleaned. Update: 11 July - Still haven’t been cleaned. Update: 9 July - Still haven’t been cleaned. Update: 7 July - Still haven’t been cleaned. Posted June 2023: Female shower walls and doors still haven't been cleaned a week after the review mentioning how grimey they are and having a "response" from The Gym. They haven't been cleaned for several weeks as the grime marks are only getting worse!

Fantastic experience: This place is really big and has loads of equipments than the average gym group. Free parking right in front of the gym so no need to do any cardio if you drive lol managers and staffs are friendly and always there to help you. Place is always clean daily Definitely recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: Love this gym!! There isn’t a better gym anywhere else, all the staff are amazing Nori, Marie, Carl, Kenny. Everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable, ask them all your fitness questions and they will support you with whatever you need. Shout out to Carlos too, his circuit classes are and he’s always willing to provide you with some additional exercises to help you reach your goals!

Fantastic experience: I've lived all over London this is the best gym yet.. very spacious, lots of parking spaces and the staff always smiling... Big them up. Don't want too many of you coming here though or else it'll be too busy lol there's a pure gym down the road go there.

Fantastic experience: An excellent gym with friendly, very helpful and motivating staff like Marie and Chris. The gym has all the equipment needed for your choice of body-weight, free-weights or exercise-machine based training. I have been training at this gym for a few years now and would thoroughly recommend it. Whatever your level of experience the staff are on hand to help with instruction and advice and will definitely help with a plan if needed and make you feel welcome and motivated. A very inclusive place.

Fantastic experience: I joined the gym in 2021 and remember telling one of the staff who was showing me around that I find the 24 hour gyms quite daunting compared to one I used to attend which closed at 10pm. I was reassured I will like it. I gave it a shot, and to my surprise he was right! I never looked back!! And out of all the local branches Catford Is by far the best one! I cannot fault it. Spacious, always clean, friendly people /staff and an amazing Gym Manager who always takes time out of her busy schedule to assist me if I have a query. Sign up, you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: This is my second month and the gym catford and I’m so happy I made this choice! I have never felt uncomfortable at this gym and have only bettered myself - very clean with plenty of equipment and space. So happy this is a stones throw from where I live! :))

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym, the manager (Marie), goes out of her way to maintain high standards, and you can see this by the cleanliness of the gym. The staff are friendly and always willing to answer any questions you have about the equipment. The Gym also has a Physiotherapist (Active Physiotherapy), and this seperates them from other branches. Keep up the good work.
