Third Space Canary Wharf

Negative experience: Had such a bad experience today. I booked in a spinning class but as the underground was not running today I was 10 mins late to class, the class was not even full and I took the bike at the back so I wouldn't disrupt the class which was in progress. I got kicked out by the instructor even though I explained that there was disruption on the tube. It was also my first time arriving late. This is seriously such bad customer service. I checked the club policies and there weren't any clauses that mentioned denied entrance if you are late. If it is the case, Third Space should have made this an official policy. Unfortunately "we have started class already" was not a good enough reason. People take time out to work on their fitness and pay a premium membership fee only to get denied access. This is not the first time I (also a few other members) have experienced bad customer service from this gym. I've been a member for 2 years and this indeed makes me question if I want to continue my membership with them.

Fantastic experience: The classes are honestly so good and really make the proce of the gym worth it. So many beginners classes too so you never feel awkward about not knowing what to do. Also the facilities are kept really clean and everyone's been super friendly.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with a good atmosphere. All the machines are clean and In working order. Womens sauna steam always clean which is a huge plus. Lots of classes on everyday. Snicker protein shake is the highlight of my day !

Negative experience: Unilaterally increased the monthly pricing after just a month that I became a member. New members, please be aware that the pricing you are told when you join is worth nothing. Tried contacting their support team who first ignored my ticket, then after several follow-ups, showed absolutely no understanding for my position and in my view, were also a little rude. Granted, I'll keep showing up here because it's critical for my mental and physical health. This is just the only way that I have left to express my disappointment.

Negative experience: Beware!! Don’t ever try to be a member with them as they don’t value you as a human being but a Matricule based on your wealth and money. I’m tired of constantly meeting people like that. I am so tired!!

Fantastic experience: Great place to work out, I have been a member for years. Third Space continues to invest in building new clubs e.g. Wood Wharf and adding popular work outs e.g. Reformer Pilates and Hot Yoga

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym; great training facility with plenty of amenities and competent trainers. Would definitely recommend the main club!

Positive experience: Such a great gym with enough space for everyone, a great set of classes and amenities to suit all needs. Only thing is it still gets full before and after work hours, sadly don’t think that’s one that will change with any gym. Still, I’m glad to have joined.

Fantastic experience: An incredible facility. Certainly the best gym and training space I have ever used. 3 floors packed full of kit for all types of fitness and strength work. The machines are all well maintained and they are abundant... as a gym they do not want people waiting for a piece of kit to become free... concept 2 rowers are wall-to-wall, they have rack after rack of bumper plates, kettle bells and dumbbells and 50 squat racks!! The classes are frequent throughout the day/week, offer excellent variety and cater for all levels of fitness and experience. The coaching team are also very knowledgeable and bring great motivation and enthusiasm to reach class

Fantastic experience: Best fitness club/ gym I have ever been. Both Third Space Canary Wharf and Wood Warf offer the best in class facilities, vast variety of rotating class schedule and highly professional staff. Also, environment and ambience are greatly taken care of (no bad smells or dirty eqipment, no screaming people, always cleaners ensuring facilities are spotless). Customer service is fantastic! I am looking forward to the updated spaces in Canary Wharf as I would like to have more chances to socialise with other members.

Fantastic experience: I just love it. I particularly enjoy the sauna and steam room in Canary Wharf, but the swimming pool is much nicer in Wood Wharf. It’s really motivating me to get fit and stay healthy. True, it’s a bit pricey, but worth it.

Negative experience: Second time a personal possession got stolen from the ladies changing rooms. For the amount of money I pay for the private lockers area especially I would expect better of the staff and members. Also please increase your classes timetable. It’s a health hazard when you can’t move in classes packed to over their capacity.

Fantastic experience: I'm in love with this place, amazing pool, multiple classes, friendly and professional staff, Third space is my favorite place to relax and workout, I regret that I didn't joined before. Is really the best and what is amazing that I have access to both of them ,, canary wharf and wood wharf, which has an amazing Jacuzzi

Fantastic experience: Great gym with the latest equipment & classes. Very clean & I have been training with a great PT. The only downfall its a shame they can not validate parking tickets during the weekday similar to Waitrose considering the premium membership cost.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this gym enough. I tell everyone at any moment I can how amazing this place is, from the staff, to the hygiene, right down to the members! The entire environment is a 10/10 experience. Everything has been brilliant for me since signing up. I finally feel like I have found a gym space that I feel completely comfortable and safe in. It almost feels like a second home now. I wasn’t an avid gym goer in the past but now I look forward to going! Especially as they have so many different classes to choose from! I’ve been a big Pilates follower for a little while and I love that I have unlimited assess to such great classes and instructors! My favourite Pilates classes have been with Zoe Jumbahoy and Patrick Grenier, they are both amazing! I’m feeling so much stronger thanks to them and in such a short space of time! 10/10 from me! Again I can’t recommend it enough.

Fantastic experience: The best gym! Have tried several others and kept coming back. The classes are phenomenal and the facilities worth what you paid for. Now they have the reformer Pilates class that I love so much. The only thing that you should improve is the wifi connection inside please.

Positive experience: I joined Third Space about a year ago, as it seemed to be the best gym around the area where I work. Throughout this time, I froze my membership a couple of times during trips, which means I actively used the facilities for about 10 months. Sharing below a few thoughts on my personal experience. Pros - excellent coaches and trainers, highly qualified in their field, motivating and inspiring - great facilities, extensive range of gym equipment, well maintained, clean - friendly and helpful staff, polite and positive Cons - it gets VERY busy during peak times (and that's basically anytime when a 9-5 typical employee can find time to go). I had to constantly adjust my workout plan based on the available equipment. I also had to queue for the showers on several occasions in the morning, which felt inconvenient and frustrating - popular classes fill in quickly. Some classes are fully booked almost instantly, including the waiting lists (!), which further adds stress to planning my workouts - lack of community spirit and courtesy amongst members, where machines and equipment could be shared during set breaks All in all, I cancelled my membership and am looking forward to a better gym experience elsewhere.

Positive experience: Have been going here for a while now excellent gym no doubt. Love the facilities, only downfall is we have to spend money at Waitrose for free 2hr parking which is a lot of money in the long run so free parking for members is paramount. With that being said most of the staff are very welcoming and hospitable especially that Jamie fella in housekeeping he is a great lad and always happy to see him. Very hardworking also! Would recommend to friends and family for sure! ☺️

Fantastic experience: Loved everything about it. Clean, well maintained, plently of equipment and options for just about anything you want to do and the hours are great allowing for super early as well as late night workouts. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Third Space is the only place I have been able to train in peace. It has been an absolute pleasure being a member - making use of all the facilities under one roof - there's so much on offer, I'm constantly making new discoveries. All the staff members and the whole team are dedicated to ensuring an excellent experience. Since I started training with my personal trainer, I've seen significant progress in my physique, fitness levels, as well as how I feel internally. Joe Banks made me fall back in love with running. As a child, it seems instinctive to run. As time goes by, the realisation hits that there is much more to running if you really want to dig deeper and get into it. Joe Banks opened my eyes to the biomechanics of running, and as a bonus, also the world of functional fitness and strength & conditioning. I always look forward to training with Joe. He is super personable and he makes training safe and fun. Importantly, all of his programming is intelligent and makes so much sense. I see him not only as a fantastic coach, but also as an all-around athlete. Whether your goal is to train for health, longevity, to improve your running economy, running power, marathon running, or sports like Hyrox, I wholeheartedly recommend Joe for his knowledge, patience, and positive energy.

Negative experience: A star for my PT who is amazing. The gym is really nice - so another star. Sadly I cancelled my membership as they allow men in the female changing room. Consider changing the name of the space so as not to mislead women! I specifically asked on joining whether it was a female only space. So you might also consider not lying! Women should be able to make their own choice based on the facts yet you took that away when you lied to me.

Fantastic experience: I had been on and off wanting to join Third Space for a really long time. I then got my promotion at work and decided to treat myself to a membership. Previous gyms I had joined just didn't have the great variety and quality of classes that Third Space does. Canary Wharf is really special, not only because you get 2 for the price of 1 in that you have access to Wood Wharf but also because it is so unique in its size and offer of facilities and equipment. As soon as you come out of the lifts on the second floor you are immediately transported by the smell to a sense of calm. The changing rooms are great (although they could do with a slight refurb to match Wood Wharf) but plenty of space, showers are a lovely experience and I use Sunday's to really take my time; I treat more like a spa day than just a gym session. All in all you can see why the price is the price (please don't put them up though lol). Great team and can't wait to see what the new Mind and Body studio and restaurant look like.

Fantastic experience: From the introduction with the Senior Sales Consultant to the fantastic cleaning staff. The Third Space team all appear to be ‘rowing’ in the same direction. I have found the team to be professional, supportive, knowledgeable and very helpful. Which absolutely helps in creating an environment and atmosphere at the gym that makes a potential tough workout a pleasurable and positive one. With so many classes and a diverse range of professional and helpful instructors it’s been a great decision to switch gyms. Keep going!

Fantastic experience: I've been to many gyms over the past decade, but Third Space is by far the best I've experienced. The gym is meticulously maintained, the staff is excellent, the space is generous, and the hygiene is top-notch. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: The best gym in London!! Canary Wharf, as well as all the other thirdspaces are perfection. Need a gym to motivate you to go everyday - this is where it is. A space to sweat, relax, run, swim, cycle, sauna, steam. Fresh white towels, cow shed products, hair dryers and accessories - everything you need! The instructors are passionate and motivational - with a wide range of classes to choose from - with plenty of time options to suit your routine. It's pure luxury! The NFF cafe is a perfect grab and go for work or a boost! Defo recommend the snickers shake post workout!

Fantastic experience: I love this gym so much. I’m here almost everyday and the facilities are second to none, it’s the largest luxury gym in Europe. There are so many different classes here - from cycling, lift to yoga and sound baths. My current addiction is the reformer Pilates classes, the instructors are all amazing. There is also amazing food and protein shakes and smoothies, with clear nutritional info so you can stick to your goals. Shoutout to Sully, Erika and Valentina for always making the most delicious shakes for me!!

Negative experience: I don’t know who is putting back the straps for the reformer bed frame, but it just happens that am not enough lucky and always have problems with it! Fundamental reformer classes I have attended 3 times but it was not explained how to lengthen it if you need to do so, some trainers just rush straight away into classes without No explanation and not to mention we women do not have all the same body types don’t we? If you cannot do an exercise , why is there the teacher??? To give alternative options, is a big No and big mistake to think all exercise fits everyone!!!!!! A person like me with broad shoulders will struggle to do certain type exercises, BUT it depends on the teacher how skilled she/ he is! I won’t be coming anymore to this place, I d rather go to Equinox where reformer teachers are experts in teaching reformer Pilates from the beginning step by step, move by move and utterly attentive of your body type, giving out at least 3 alternatives if you are not able to do a certain type of exercise!! This is my opinion and won’t change , sorry if am brutally honest but it is what it is!

Fantastic experience: Best gym around, can get busy during peak time like all gyms, but there are tonnes of equipment there is no waiting around. Love that it's convenient to get to and the opening hours are extended unlike other gyms in the area. Sauna and steam room are clean just what you need after a work out and the complimentary condiment gives it the 5star feel.

Negative experience: I’ve visited third space spa which is not really a spa. The massage cost for 50 minutes is 88 pounds while your monthly membership is 250. While I have no complaints about the massage - the therapist Lisa did a professional job, I have a big problem with the gym setup. When searching for third space spa the facilities come up - the beautiful pool, sauna, steam rooms, you name it. Well, it’s all a fake advert because I wasn’t even allowed to take a shower after the oil massage therapy and had to mess up the clothing in order to come home and take a shower. Apparently shower is only for the members, rest can go home and do their thing, but not a drop of water for the strangers who pay a near 100 for the therapy at your gym which is close to 40% of the whole monthly membership fee. Appalling, awful setup for the overpriced, overhyped place. I am sharing this everywhere so people know more about you :)

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Third Space since 2017, and have always been up and down in my training, however since training with PT Sanjay Halai my commitment to fitness and understanding of my goals and objectives has completely changed, I have been training with Sanjay since May 2024 and have already lost 12 kg and gained more muscle tone than I thought possible at my age. He is patient but motivating me on a daily and weekly basis to continue to hit my fitness goals.

Fantastic experience: Staffs are all friendly and super helpful. Equipments are modern, clean and all are being sanitised after using by housekeepers. Lovely place to work out, highly recomment!

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Been training with Sanjay for over 4 months and seeing great results. I am not one to go the gym often or stick to a plan but Sanjay has been patient, motivating and encouraging week after week. Each session is a little different and he finds ways to push me without it feeling like a drill sergeant boot camp. Can’t thank him enough for the program so far and looking forward to many more months of progress and results!

Fantastic experience: I've been training at CW Third Space since the start of 2024. The gym is huge and the classes and instructors are amazing! I'd also like to give a special shout out to my PT, Sanjay, who I have been training with for over 6 months. I have seen some great results whilst working with him. He really pushes me to my limits in each session and also keeps the sessions super enjoyable and motivating.

Fantastic experience: Third space Canary Wharf and wood wharf, is one of the best gyms I have been. The copious classes and the mass of different equipment makes doing a workout so much more pleasurable as well as easier. I would recommend this gym to anyone who takes training serious!

Negative experience: It’s a big gym with a variety of equipment and classes to do for whatever exercise you want to do. I enjoy the longer hours. They took my recommendation that EQX implemented, which was nice. I like the multiple locations. However, the management does not control membership well. It’s a zoo in there! It’s very busy when it’s busy. It’s overwhelmingly busy. It’s not as tidy as you expect. Weights etc are everywhere. It’s a mess! The equipment and free weights feel cheap. Third space CW is a glorified PureGyms.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this gym if you’re looking for a clean, luxurious experience. The membership is well worth the money and I love spending my time here. :)

Negative experience: The gym claims to be flexible by offering a one-month notice period for cancellation, but they fail to mention that the cancellation request must be made on the 1st of the month. If you try to cancel mid-month, like on the 6th of September, they won’t let you cancel a month later. Instead, you’re forced to wait until the 1st of November and pay the high fees in the meantime, despite giving a full month’s notice. To make matters worse, the management is unhelpful and dismissive when it comes to concerns, especially around timetable changes. For the price you pay, the service falls well short of expectations. I would not recommend this gym.

Fantastic experience: Been a member here for a few years and I genuinely love it! The variety of classes is great and they are always reviewing and updating the schedule based on member feedback. The facilities are beautiful and maintained well by their excellent housekeeping team. All the staff are friendly and helpful, highly recommend going here!

Fantastic experience: Exceptional staff fit for a luxury resort. I was approached by a charming PT called Leon. He gave me some great tips on training several times after crossing paths in the gym. After a week he had the tenacity and ability to book me in for a PT session. Something which I have not done in London due to my life scheduling. In my one hour PT session - my warm was incredibly insightful. I was advised and given stretches which were gold dust. Not only did Leon describe and explain the areas of back - shoulders - arms in detail fit for a university lecturer he communicated this information exceptionally well. We moved passed the warm up onto the workout. The depth of knowledge and understanding Leon has is comparable to an Ex Olympian PT I use in Monaco. Leon superseded my expectations so much so I felt enlightened, educated and incredibly worked out. I have trained since 1996 & I only wish I had the privilege of meeting an exemplary PT such as Leon earlier in life. I will endeavour to book PT with him moving forward. I would also like to add the front desk team and house keeping staff are very courteous and helpful. Assisting and helping me with lost items, bookings and any issues I may have. Thank you so much Third space !

Fantastic experience: I have been training at Third Space since April and it has been a very positive experience so far. I joined the club whilst recovering from a Lower Back injury and the PT sessions with Sanjay Halai have been definitely a key in my recovery and helped me to resume my strength training. In addition to the PT sessions the classes are a massive help.

Fantastic experience: Joined Third Space Gym at Canary Wharf a few months ago, and it’s truly an exceptional place to work out and relax. Always clean, and staff are friendly and always happy to help. Plus, Reformer pilates and almond snickers bar are just perfection! Best investment ever!

Negative experience: The classes are good and the trainers are lovely - but the app you need to book the class is down more often than not, and so you can’t view schedule and book your classes. This has been the case for many months now, and is not getting any better. To make it worse, they never offer any form of compensation for this clear lack of service. They just send generic apology emails every few days! Spend your hard-earned money on a gym that respects its clientele, especially at these rates.

Positive experience: -The booking app never works so you’re unable to plan or book and change classes. -Numbers of attendees allowed into gym classes is to huge capacity meaning can’t move fully move. -Only six stair-masters and never one free in peak hours -Yoga studio smells terrible and staff don’t know how to air room. Yoga blankets smell like cheese. -Lots of variety of classes -World class awesome instructors with boundless energy and expertise 90% of time -New equipment regularly invested in and replaced -Good location to transport

Fantastic experience: Best gym I’ve been to in London. The variety of classes, the quality of equipment and the attention to the small details set third space apart from the rest. I’ve been to gyms at similar price points and they haven’t been worth it, but with third space it’s very good value for money. It’s more of a fitness experience than just a gym. I would highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: Boxing with Pablo is great, so is the staff. It tends to get overcrowded though never too much. Only advice is do the boxing classes last 1h rather than 45'. But glad to be member of the gym and definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: Huge gym with lots of equipment for every level. Changing rooms are well equiped. Showers are proper and good pressure. Unlimited towels. No jacuzzi though. Good experience overall

Fantastic experience: This gym is by far one of the best gyms I've been to, and I've tried quite a few chains around London over the past years. Not only does the Canary Wharf branch have an outstanding amount of machines available, but many classes are happening throughout the day. Even though this gym spans 3 floors and has everything you could possibly think of, it never feels overcrowded, which I definitely appreciate.

Fantastic experience: An outstanding gym with excellent equipment and classes. I’ve been training for quite a few years now and would say the trainers are some of the best I’ve worked with. Fantastic experience: The new place at Wood Wharf is incredibly beautiful and such a perfect place where you can go and work out, relax and enjoy a sauna or steam at the end. The staff are amazing where people like Tommy are so helpful and making sure you have everything you need each session. I’m very happy that this one opened to help with the increased volume at the original Canary Wharf. Third Space is by far the best gym in London, a place to take your training to the next level.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of Third Space Gym at Canary Wharf for a couple of months now, and it’s truly an exceptional place to work out. The facilities are top-notch, always clean, and equipped with the latest gear. The staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help, making every visit a positive experience. The variety of classes offered is fantastic, and the trainers are excellent, pushing you to achieve your best while keeping it fun. Plus, the smoothies are a perfect post-workout treat! Negative experience: I have made the booking for a 80’ deep tissue massage today at Canary Wharf Third Space Spa at 11.30am. I came slightly early at 10.55 and thought I can wait inside the spa ( as I always did!). However, the reception team refused to let me in saying that I’m only allowed to come 10 minutes before my booking time. I was a Third Space members for a few years since 2017-2020 and only moved back to my country after the pandemic and was no longer a member at Thirdspace. Even so, I have been continued using Thirdspace Spa service since then whenever I came to London and never heard or seen any policy about this “ 10 minutes before treatment”. Phillip, the Concierge Manager came out and harshly kept telling me that it’s their policy and even though he couldn’t show me any policy notes, I had to accept it and keep pressing me in a very rude attitude “ is there anything else i can do for you? “. This is the first time I was treated like this in Third Space and even though I believe this is not how you supposed to treat your customers, this is simply rude and totally disrespectful to the customers. If you do want to apply these policies, please make sure it’s been well noted from the booking procedures. I bursted out in tears due to the frustration and disbelief in front of the reception area. I called the Spa and your spa reception team was kind enough to talk this through and let me in after hearing I was crying. This is probably my last time coming to Thirdspace. Such a shame for an used to be amazing club!

Fantastic experience: Joining Third Space has been a superb decision. Initially, I wasn’t sure about the hype, but I highly recommend that everyone try it out for themselves to truly understand what they have to offer. The variety of classes and the ample space in the weight sections are just amazing. The wide range of classes works exceptionally well for me. I’m a big fan of Lift, Ride, Boxing, and Sound Bath. The trainers are top-notch. Lastly, the hygiene is maintained really well, and small details, like always being greeted by someone from the concierge when I enter, make a experience better

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Third Space for a few months now and I am so happy I joined. I have made more progress in my fitness journey here than I did in years at other gyms. It is a great place for a full body and mind workout! Lots of machines and floor space, an amazing range of classes, and a great space to lounge by the pool and read if you're looking to relax. It's always clean and the staff are very friendly, and having natural fitness food on site with their amazing selection of smoothies just adds to the whole experience! I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined Third Space in June and strongly recommend it as London's premier gym. The Canary Wharf club I believe is one the largest gyms in Europe and has a vast amount of elite equipment and a great atmosphere that makes training really enjoyable. The Spa area in the Men's changing room is probably not up to standard compared to the rest of the gym but the Wood Wharf club located nearby does provide a superior alternative that I expect of Third Space.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined Third Space and was initially skeptical and wondered if it would be worth the hype. But I’ve come to find that Third Space is not just a gym. It’s an experience. The gym is an exceptional training facility. The classes are amazing and there is so much choice. I also like the fact that yoga equipment and towels are included (saves me having to lug my yoga mat around London!). The facility can get very busy during peak hours, but it’s so big that you can usually find the equipment you want to use very easily. I do wish that it was possible to book classes a week in advance. The 48-hour window for booking can get a bit tedious as you have to remember to book fairly frequently. I also wish that the cafe offered hot food options. But these are all minor issues. Overall, it’s a very, very good gym and well worth the money for what you get.

Fantastic experience: It’s been few months since I signed up for Third Place Canary Wharf. Shortly after, they’ve also opened Wood Wharf, which was perfect for me as my main aim was yoga classes. Happy with overall facilities, amenities, classes and services. There are some really good yoga instructors and I would highly recommend them. Any troubles I’ve had in the past around app etc have all been resolved swiftly as soon as you speak to any staff. Overall happy with the decision.

Fantastic experience: I’ve tried so many gyms in London, and although this one comes at a high price, I am surprised every day of the quality level. From the amazing locker rooms, to the quality of every classes I attended, or even the facilities.. it’s spotless clean and everyone is extremely nice. I joined purely for the pilates/reformer, yoga and swimming pool… so if you like me want to treat yourself to the best gym in town I would highly recommend. If I could say one minor thing that is not great is the class booking system, I personally have to put an alarm on my phone or they get booked in the minute they go live… it’s not great. And I wish there was a rule for couples to be mindful of others, specially in saunas/hammams and hot tubs… it’s supposed to be a relaxing time for everyone, and it’s hard to relax when people have loud conversation in such a small and confine space… Still rating 5 stars as it’s be best and I go every day!
