Fantastic experience: This gym is FANTASTIC. Great price, always clean, great equipment and staff are so professional, helpful and supportive. It's very relaxed and all equipment is well maintained. For a gym that has 'light staffing', I've not had any issues and all the interactions I have had with the staff have been excellent. They are there more than you think they would be and are generally personal training or getting to know members. Its a really well run gym.
Positive experience: I’ve been going for 2 years now and the staff are always friendly and happy to help, the areas are always kept clean and the general atmosphere is very welcoming. The only thing i will say is that there is only 1 smith machine and during the busier times it can mean a lot of waiting but other than that, there is good variety of equipment available especially.
Positive experience: Amazing gym, staff inside are consistently supportive and cleaning the gym. There's a wide range of machines to hit every muscle in the body with an app that provides many exercises. Only issue that it's hard to cancel the membership in order to switch gyms.
Positive experience: Went on Saturday to check the gym before joint and it looks really nice. Just one question: I’ve noticed there are a couple of things missing - cable seated row and different trazy bars. Planning to buy them ? Thanks Max
Fantastic experience: I recently switched to this gym in Woking and I’ve been really impressed with the service so far. On my first day, I encountered an issue with my membership because the website wasn’t working properly. Paula was extremely helpful—she immediately called the helpline and sorted everything out for me. Also, I noticed they didn’t have a 15kg bar for weightlifting, so I brought it up with Paula and she took the initiative to pass the request on to her team manager. To my surprise, the bar was ordered and delivered very quickly! I’m really satisfied with the level of service and how responsive the staff has been.
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff and never too busy
Negative experience: I was denied access when paid up membership, when asked why - rude customer service. I cancelled anyway, the gym is far too packed and busy, way too many people. You pay for the quality, it's cheap and the whole gym experience is cheap, from customer service to the gym itself.

Negative experience: Great gym, however there's is no option to be able to sanitise or clean the equipment. Need to at least provide cleaning spray if not the blue roll. Ppl don't clean up after themselves and the lack of sprays means I can't do it either even if I wanted to. Dry wiping with a towel doesn't sanitise, just spreads sweat and other fluids around! When team members are busy or the gym is unmanned, there's no one to sanitise the stations or mats. Realistically i cant ask a trainer or staff to clean 5-6 equipments for me every 10 mins before i use them during my session! If the choice and opportunity to sanitise equipment isnt reinstated, ill be reconsidering my membership ununfortunately.

Positive experience: I’m new to gyming… my impressions are: This is a good quality gym with a very large volume of gym equipment and space to work out. The people here are friendly and a real mix of gym levels. The staff are very friendly. Good changing/locker/shower facilities/security Value for money is probably 4-4.5/5 Shout out to Paula, brilliant PT

Positive experience: With the number of people using the gym, having only two toilets is very insufficient. The showers don’t have any soap or anything, and the water pressure is low. There isn’t even a hairdryer. For someone like me who is used to showering after a workout, this is not good! However, the gym offers good classes and has a nice atmosphere. But most of the time, it’s crowded, and you have to wait a long time to use the equipment.

Fantastic experience: I am have been to two of The Gym Group locations during holidays. One in Walthamstow (a year ago) and one here in Woking. It is a very nice gym chain with enough space and a good choice of equipment. The gym is open 24/7 which is very convenient. I mainly weightlift an in Woking, they had 6 squatting racks, which was really nice as i did not have to queue. A day pass cost £9.99, but I got a 3 day (consecutive days) pass and paid £16.99. You purchase passes online and choose the starting day yourself. As soon as you finalise your payment online you get a pin number emailed to you. You use it to enter the gym. In Woking there are two doors, one to the entrance area and the second one is sliding foor to a sort of pod that you enter before you are let in to the gym area. If the first door is closed, you need to enter the pin but start with the # sign followed by the pin number. For the second pod door just enter the pin number. To conclude, I am very happy with this gym and would go there again when I visit next time.

Negative experience: Quietly removed all cleaning stations in the last week, no more disposable cloth or disinfectant spray. Most people didn’t wipe down after themselves anyway but at least the option was there to clean the equipment before you use it. Won’t be going barefoot on the body analysis machine without cleaning it so will reconsider if it’s worth having ‘ultimate’ membership. My Yanga water add on has also stopped being unlimited with no notice given, I can now half fill my bottle and have to wait 20 minutes before I can fill up the rest of it. This is only my second month of membership so I’m surprised to be noticing a decline in the place so soon. Generally though the gym is well equipped and staff seem friendly. The men’s changing room is a joke, enough space for 4 people at a push to get changed in. Cable machines so busy it’s like a lottery win if you get on one, although don’t expect to have it to yourself.

Positive experience: The facilities were OK, but I did not like being oggled while I was on the treadmill. You know how it is - you need to get into "the zone."

Fantastic experience: Love it here. Showers and toilets seem to get blocked regularly and sometimes overflow, but otherwise 10/10.

Negative experience: One of the Worst services ever experienced, no person, no support when PIN And QR code does not work. Problems when things don’t go well. Email responses are days late and are all automated machine responses. Email responses are super slow.

Positive experience: The gym is great inside the shopping centre with plenty of parking for 2 hours free, but lacks in space for classes and sometimes if you want to use the area they use you might be asked to leave it free! Once the PT Matt Hackey was training 4 people and I want to train in that area not in use and he started to through matts as a circle in our feet to make us leave! We trained in a small portion and when we left he didn’t train anyone ans was just chatting with someone in the entrance, very rude and unprofessional! Could have asked and explained and ot just through mats! Very rude!!

Fantastic experience: Well equipped gym and super friendly staff! Kim Paula and Matt always greet me with a smile and readily offer their help and assistance. The included classes are a big plus. Sometime have to wait for a few pieces of equipment at busy times but otherwise a great value gym.

Fantastic experience: I have only recently started attending Paula’s classes but I am now addicted to them. She is amazing pushing the class to their limit but you feel like a million bucks at the end of the class.

Fantastic experience: I used this gym for 3 weeks while I was ona short term assignment in Woking. I went early, around 5am, there's plenty of equipment and you don't have to wait too long for a machine. As usual in any gym, not everyone makes use of the cleaning materials available.
Negative experience: 15 pounds administration fee if you forgot to top up your account of the day of direct debit. Good luck with such customer treatment in 2024

Negative experience: Didn't rate this gym at all. Changing rooms are tiny. It's always super busy (yes they have a live tracker but this doesn't make it less busy). Equipment is below average with alot of weight machines missing. Also no designated class area.

Fantastic experience: I have been at this gym for just under 1 year now and oh my word i have lost a lot of weight but gained a lot more muscle from a very supportive personal trainer called matthew, without him I wouldnt be where i am today. Overall the gym is very clean, bright, and just a great place to be. The amount of machines, cables and free weights there is nothing that you cant do there.

Fantastic experience: I normally go to classes and they are great!!! Matt and Pauline are AMAZING!!!!! Such a happy and encouraging people, I’m always broken when I leave but happy to have seen them. Equipment is in excellent condition, always clean and everything working as it should. Temperature is perhaps a bit too hot for my liking but that is a matter of personal preference.
