Unit 24 Fitness Centre and Gym

Fantastic experience: Great value local gym! Membership is low and easy payment, the place is always clean and warm (even at 6am on an autumn day!), the kit is modern to new, and the staff and other members are a friendly bunch I haven’t attended any classes yet but there are plenty. Several PTs gives you good chance of finding someone who you work well with, and there are other partner businesses to help out. If you live in or near Aldershot, I recommend you give it a try

Fantastic experience: Leaving puregym and joining Unit 24 was a great decision. It is cheaper monthly, friendlier staff, a much larger range of equipment and more respectful gym users.

Negative experience: Myself and my girlfriend arrived early for a tour of the gym as we were interested in getting a membership. We were kept in a waiting room for 15 minutes past our booked slot without anyone greeting us other than a friendly lady who was dealing with another customer. We then decided to take the tour ourselves as we had enough of waiting. The lower floor was too dark to navigate with a mix match of dumbbell weights scattered across the floor. Not too happy with our time being wasted but hopefully this was just a bad day.

Negative experience: Booked a tour for prospective membership after seeing discount ads in our postbox and on instagram, arrived in good time and was greeted by a friendly trainer who said someone would be right down. No one ever came down. We gave ourselves the tour after waiting around 15 minutes, the equipment and rooms were dirty and smelly and didn't seem well maintained, and the car park is a joke. We walked out. Don't take bookings if you're not going to respect our time.

Fantastic experience: I have literally been the most consistent with my training since I joined in March last year! This gym is the best one I’ve been a member of, and that has helped me to stay committed and not let myself get embarrassed like I used to! I do PT with Georgia and she is incredible, but all the other PT’s are super friendly, say hello and offer support and advice if it’s needed. It has a great atmosphere, great kit and being open 24/7 means I can train when it suits me! Love it here

Fantastic experience: Me and my son love this gym, it's like our second home. As an ex bodybuilder it has all the equipment you could need. Laura is amazing and the staff are great! Great environment, friendly members, no egos, what more can you ask for?!?!?

Fantastic experience: I've been a member at this gym for I think around 18 months now. I was previously at a big chain but I've always been self conscious and never felt comfortable. What originally drew me to this gym was the low lighting, so I went for a visit and I was immediately sold. I don't feel self conscious or uncomfortable here and will happily wear a vest top (which I previously never did) because it's not lit up like a football field on match night. It's a little small downstairs so can feel a little cramped when it's busy, but I've not come across anyone who isn't willing to share equipment/space, or who hogs anything. I usually go at 8pm when it's pretty quiet, especially at the weekend (my photo was a Friday night about a year ago). There's a surprising amount of equipment for a small gym. So many plate loaded machines which I much prefer. Also... The music is banging. Loud, bassy, and no membership adverts! I'm more of a metalhead but the music here gets me pumped. Highly recommend to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Best gym I’ve ever been in full of great kit and plenty of different spaces to use from boxing areas to functional fitness area and a huge weight room! Staff are amazing and friendly! Great atmosphere and environment! No where else id rather be training! I would highly recommend to anyone whether your new to training or been training for years!

Negative experience: Incredibly rude young female on reception. Stank of cigarette smoke and didn’t offer me any help when i appeared confused on the lay out. Was more interested in her phone notifications! Gym is small but clean but there is no customer service at all so wouldn’t recommend if you like having support whilst using the gym.

Fantastic experience: By far the best choice of gym. Very friendly and helpful staff members like Ramon and amazing people like jake who are always willing to help. You can’t go wrong with gym. I just wish I could turn the music off.

Fantastic experience: Been a member for 2 weeks now and love the fact that this gym is so friendly. Dave the manager is welcoming and helpful. The staff I've met so far, Angela, Ed and Theo all have extensive knowledge and after my PT session with Theo (who customised exercises to take into account my limitations due to arthritis) I have been confident to work out. Parking is bit of an issue as there are no disabled spaces and regular spaces mostly full, but those are difficult of empty given I have to fully open my door to get in and out of my car. The car park is often full, guess this is the downside of being on an industrial estate.

Negative experience: Came for 1 visit on a 1 week pass and then membership was frozen the next day. Still don't know why. No phone number to call, no reply to email sent. Instructions on having to pre-book gym time for the first visit was also very week. Wouldn't recommend.

Fantastic experience: Joined this gym a couple of months ago now and I have to say I love it. Staff are really friendly and so are the people who work out there. Great vibe, really friendly place. No need to feel self conscious. Everyone is made to feel welcome! Highly recommended. 10 out of 10!

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of becoming a short term member of Unit 24 before I left Aldershot. I was looking for a well-rounded gym in the area when I moved to Aldershot and after trialing a few options, Unit 24 was by far the superior choice. The gym itself is well equipped along with other great amenities. The staff is always friendly and polite. Dave who manages the gym was fantastic to work with in regards to my membership. If you want a great spot to get in shape, lift, exercise etc, Unit 24 is highly recommended.

Positive experience: Just joined recently and usually go later times in the day, its a very good gym and it feels more like a club, the sitting area is still not finished but I got told it will be finished soon along with protein supplements and so on for sale, it's just a weird feeling when you know someone is watching over the cctv, will definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: Great gym - Laura & Dave (the owners) are brilliant, very approachable, knowledgable and friendly. Equipment is very well kept and varied giving lots of options during any workout. As well as a gym it also offers a boxing area which is seperate, as well as a mats area for stretching & ab workouts etc. Parking is available at both the front and back of building meaning it’s never an issue. Very competitive pricing and overall very happy that we moved here from Farnham leisure centre.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of the gyms with saunas ,solariums etc where you look out of place without the latest styles in gym wear. At these type of places nobody talks to you and the training is usually superficial. At the unit everyone acknowledges you the owners Dave and Laura care and there is a team of like minded people to carry out personal training sessions for all levels of fitness. I would recommend ‘The Unit’ to anyone who is serious about achieving there fitness goals.
