The staff were all very welcoming, and the gym itself is spotless with a fantastic range of equipment. I loved seeing the variety of classes on offer – there’s definitely something for everyone, which is exciting as I get started on my fitness journey here. Even on day one, I can already feel that this is a motivating and positive environment. Looking forward to all the great workouts and relaxing spa sessions to come. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: The best family club- love coming here. The facilities are excellent and there’s something for everyone- of all ages. A great place to work, if needed, followed by a workout in the brilliantly kitted out gym whilst the kids are in a class, followed by a relaxing session in the awesome spa. There’s so much to do here, it’s easy to spend a full day here!

Positive experience: Had a tour around David Lloyd gym today with Ethan very knowledgeable on all the facilities on offer . Gave me opportunity to ask questions and any queries I had. The only thing I would probably improve is to clarify prices of each membership on the website for bit more openness and clarification and also joining fees would be helpful . Excellent facilities and most impressed . Loved the outdoor pool and inside pool and both fair size to usual clubs . Spa area is lovley too. Big decision to join for price as have to be signed up for year and Rugby don’t offer 3 monthly flexible membership like other clubs do , so won’t rush into it. Website needs updating on information as bit confusing as states CLUB Membership off peak times which would have been another option . Only offer 3 types of memberships at Rugby

Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities, everything you could want in a health club, been a member of a lot of clubs and this one is by far the best. Only negative is that if you have an electric vehicle it’s hard to get a charging point as non EV fill the bays or other EV vehicles park there without charging. The club needs to do something about this. Maybe hire a parking attendant or actively fine the owners.

Positive experience: Good gym and wonderful instructors. But please improve on the Pilates Studio, the instructors are wonderful but there is nothing useful for pilates except for Mat. We are paying enough to get a proper Pilates studio.

Positive experience: DL Rugby is a great gym. Staff are really what makes it. All excellent. Some of the classes need to be revised, and the cleanliness is an issue (not the cleaning staff's fault as they don't have the tools and products to get the job done) Restaurant is very good with excellent selections of food. Spa is great. The only downside other than the issues with cleanliness and the drains is that it is too small. They should have built a bigger site.

Fantastic experience: This place, wow. Modern, very clean and staff so polite. I'm glad we've joined David Lloyds, as now we can visit multiple centres.

Positive experience: Nice enough gym. Do find that often weights are not put away by members so constantly having to remove people’s weights from equipment, which if I were paying £30 a month would be fine, but I do expect something a little more when paying well over £100. Front desk staff and cafe staff are lovely and always very talkative, PTs not so much, certain PTs are just plain rude in fact. Facilities are always very nice and clean. Was a member here, but have left for something a bit cheaper with a better experience.

Fantastic experience: This gym can become very addictive! It is such a great experience and much more than just a gym. They have 4 different saunas to choose from and a plunge pool that I use most days. It could do with being a bit colder but it’s great they have one. Two pools, one inside and one outside. You can just have a spa day here is you wish. They have loads of different classes on as well and a cycle studio. On a sunny day, the pool looks like a holiday resort! I am sure people pull a sick day to just come and hang out here…

Fantastic experience: Alvin, Sue & Freya…Amazing! Honestly a great session and so much fun. Well planned out and great to be outdoors and working out. I have done Blaze with Alvin before and he suggested to come to this total body workout. 100% would recommend for anyone to get involved, as was so much fun and the team all have great energy.

Fantastic experience: David Lloyd Club - Rugby I recently had the pleasure of participating in an outdoor full-body workout session that was nothing short of brilliant! The session was structured perfectly, with each instructor bringing their own unique energy and expertise. Alvin kicked things off with a dynamic warm-up that was both invigorating and comprehensive. He made sure we were thoroughly prepared for the workout ahead, focusing on getting our muscles activated and our heart rates up. His enthusiasm was contagious, setting a positive tone for the rest of the session. Next, Sue took the lead, and wow, did she challenge us all! Her segment was intense, pushing us to our limits in the best possible way. Sue’s encouragement kept us motivated through every rep, and her clear instructions made even the toughest exercises feel achievable. Her ability to push us just the right amount ensured we were all working at our peak performance. Finally, Freya wrapped up the session with a perfect finish. She guided us through a cool-down that was both relaxing and rejuvenating, ensuring we ended on a high note. Freya’s calming presence and focus on stretching and recovery helped us transition smoothly from the high-energy workout to a state of relaxation. Overall, this workout was exceptional from start to finish. Alvin, Sue, and Freya each brought something unique to the table, making the experience well-rounded and highly effective. I left the session feeling stronger, energized, and ready for the day. If you’re looking for a challenging yet enjoyable workout, I highly recommend joining one of their sessions. You won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: I'm really enjoying my membership here at David Lloyd Rugby. Alvin provided our induction, he also takes some classes and you really feel like you have worked out. Helen's body pump is fun and enjoyable. Today we had an outside full body workout as part of the 1st birthday celebrations, it was amazing. I would love these kind of activities going forward on a regular basis. I would also be interim the hour long body pump classes too. Overall, this club is great. The full team today were incredible. Please can we do this again? ☺️

Fantastic experience: My family and I absolutely love coming to this place- it's so friendly, and the atmosphere is always buzzing! Everyone in there from the reception team, to the cafe staff, to the housekeeping team to the PTs to the instructors and the Kids Club team are helpful, warm and so approachable. My 7yr old loves joining in with the clubs offered after school and at the weekend, and my 2yr old loves the Messy Play sessions and the Saturday morning family slot! The group classes offered are varied and engaging- Blaze is my absolute favourite. Ollie, Alvin, Andre and Natalie make each and every session the hardest workout, but the best fun! I look forward to each visit, and always make sure to book all my classes for the following week as soon as they go live. Could not recommend this club enough, it's honestly the best :)

Positive experience: I’ve been with David Lloyds since they opened last summer, and as someone who has never been part of a club like this before, I have to say it's been quite an experience. The club is conveniently located between my home and work, so I never have to make any detours, which is a huge plus. The staff here are fantastic—always welcoming and friendly, greeting everyone as they come in or leave. I initially joined for the gym and classes but quickly found myself spending most of my time in the spa or swimming instead. Although I haven’t tried any classes yet (I’m a bit shy and not much of a social person), I can confidently say they offer a great selection of equipment and weights in the gym. The swimming facilities are also worth mentioning. They have an indoor heated pool that’s pretty good overall, though it could be a bit deeper than its current 1.2 meters. The second indoor pool is warmer and much shallower, around 0.5 meters or so, which might be great for kids or those looking for a gentle swim. Outside, they have a spacious area with another big pool and a shallow kids’ pool connected to it. The outdoor pool is the same depth as the main indoor one at 1.2 meters, and there’s plenty of space for sunbathing in the summer, making it a perfect spot to relax on warmer days. The spa facilities are where I spend most of my time. The outdoor hot tub is a highlight, especially in the winter. There's something magical about soaking in the hot water early in the morning, watching the sun rise behind the buildings. The indoor hot tub is also nice but feels a bit hotter and shallower. However, I’ve had an issue with it. The menthol aroma from the nearby showers seems to get trapped in the bubbles, making my eyes sting after sitting in it for a while. Because of this, I tend to avoid it. The saunas are excellent, particularly the steam rooms and the very hot outdoor sauna. Just a heads up—be cautious with any metal, like glasses or jewellery, as they can get uncomfortably hot. The food is another plus, with a good variety of options, including beer on tap and bottled. It’s nice to have a bite or a drink after a workout or spa session. Overall, I’d give David Lloyds a 4 out of 5, mostly because of the issue with the indoor hot tub. Other than that, it’s been a great experience, and I’m glad I joined.

Fantastic experience: We joined this place nearly 4 months ago and felt it was quite a large commitment, but can honestly say we love it here. It is more than a gym or a pool, it is a health club where you can spend the whole day. I have used it for work, spent the day relaxing, spent quality time with the family, had dates and used it to get fit... A new way of life.

Negative experience: This afternoon 3- 4pm I was in the outdoor pool as the indoor pool was closed. I came to do length swimming. There were two lanes for swimming, however the lanes had children playing in them, I was jumped on twice and I had to try to negotiate round children playing in the lanes. I thought the lanes were in place to allow people (adults) to be able to do length swimming. What’s the point in having lanes marked out if the life guard on duty is not keeping an eye on what’s happening. This is not a glorified crèche for kids to just do what they want to do, running and jumping in the pool with no regard of people doing length swimming. It’s an accident waiting to happen. I understand it’s a family venue, please can life guards be more vigilant and for the lanes to have clear signs to say lane swimming only.
