Fantastic experience: Listen.. There’s no bells, whistles or grass on the walls at this place. It’s a proper gym with everything you would could ever need for building and maintaining your health and fitness. Bodybuilding gyms can seem intimidating but Spyros and the guys are well mannered and educated in their chosen field and bring a real sense of community to the area.

Positive experience: I would love to become a member of this gym. It's just around the corner to where I live, and I love this type of hardcore gym, having trained at Legends gym nearer to Dalston for years. Unfortunately, with an 8am opening time during weekdays, it opens too late to fit my workouts in before work. If it opened earlier, say at 6am or 6.30am, I would definitely become a member.

Fantastic experience: The best six pounds I spent in London. Minimal registration requirements before working out - super easy as a walk-in. They have a lot of equipment options. It's tight quarters but that's to be expected for the location. BYO padlock if you want to lock stuff in the lockers.

There's even a boxing ring and various different weights in punching bags. Fantastic experience: I've been going to muscleworks 2 for nearly a year. The staff are nice, and the members are friendly. If you plan on being a member I highly recommend having a yearly membership as it is considerably cheaper than paying monthly. The place is quite small but as long as u avoid busy times it's fine.

Positive experience: +Friendly staff +Grungy hardcore gym +The Best Lat-pull down machine ever +Great Leg press variations +Great Leg curl variations +Very rare Lat Pullover machine +DB's over 70kg +Will let you store your bike inside +Great Body Building Gym -All the Barbells are cheap, bent, broken. -Many of the DB's are not labed so you spend more time looking for a matching set than using them. -Members don't put the weights back. -Appears to be a lack of 5kg plates. -The weight plates are a mishmash of brands shapes and sizes. -Showers are coated in black mould. All in all it has a great vibe for getting your head down and getting some decent work done. Sadly the cheap bent barbells mean powerlifting isnt really an option. The showers are filthy so I would recommend washing at home. Would I come again? Yes, minus the barbell exercises I had a great workout.

Fantastic experience: A really great gym with some very knowledgeable staff, joining a gym can be a little intimidating and I would suggest a basic induction should be policy rather than optional I see a lot of people just wandering around not knowing where to start, although other members will happily help and give advise. opening hours are great but it would be good to open earlier Mon- Friday

Fantastic experience: Time for a update. Still the best gym in London for many reasons from, value for money to Gym users. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Everyone helps each other. Ive spoken to some new members (Women) and they all have said, they was at first a bit apprehensive as large amount of people are men, BUT...How shocked they were at peoples attitudes as everyone is so helpful and friendly.

Negative experience: First impressions count. But I guess the staff here don't seem to realise that. Visited today to have a look. 3 Men and 1 Woman at the reception desk. Chatting away. Didn't even look at me! No greeting. No hello. Nothing. When I told the guy I was looking to join a gym in the neighbourhood, he wasn't even looking at me. Continuing his idle chat with his colleagues, saying stuff like " but I can do whatever I want. It's my choice" blah blah, he takes a leaflet and gives it to me. Still no eye contact. I looked around the facility and found it to be too cramped. I only saw one guy working out. The others, including 2 men and 1 woman stood around chatting. The sauna and shower areas seem really small too. Still, I would've joined. My friend/neighbour would've joined too. We'd have spent an hour or hour and a half there, exercising everyday or at least every other day. But the unwelcoming attitude, and the staff's total disregard towards a potential customer, was a total turn off. I won't be joining. Nor will my friend. I hope the owner of the gym sees this review. Maybe I should find out who it is, and tell him to train his staff properly!
