Energie Fitness Eltham

Negative experience: So difficult to cancel. I recommend just going to another gym. I’ve had a week-long exchange with the manager just trying to cancel my membership. They try to get as much money as possible from you before they allow you cancel. For the quality of the gym as well (leaking ceilings and mould everywhere) I think it should be easier to leave.

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym just over a month ago now and I can’t recommend it enough. The variety of classes that they offer every day and at all different times is amazing, not to mention the instructors and staff. Casey, John, Dylan and Jake are great and always super welcoming to new comers and keep you motivated in the gym to reach your goals. Thank you! :)

Fantastic experience: I have been to this gym for almost a year and it is the best decision I have ever made. I have gotten stronger and more confident in myself since I have joined. The instructors and manager are amazing and so helpful. The PTs are also amazing, in particular Casey @cthornton.coaching. I recommend this gym to anyone who wants to a join a gym!

Positive experience: Need another flat bench. Always being used every time of the day

Negative experience: I like the size and space, but there is a big problem, the top part of the gym is very dusty, the dust accumulates on the windows and ceiling, this is very bad for those who suffer from rhinitis and sinusitis, you are on the equipment from above and breathes dust all the time, and allergies end up attacking. I think I should do a deep cleaning. 1 month at the gym and the large windows and ceiling with a lot of accumulated dust.

Negative experience: I don't recommend it. The staff is generally not aware of their work. Never will use this gym again

Fantastic experience: Great gym, amazing price for membership, the classes here are great & I highly recommend. The trainers here are so helpful and so many people at this gym are really friendly! Great atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: This is actually a really good gym. It’s excellent value for money and it’s got most of the things you get in other gyms (apart from swimming and sauna) but just on a slightly smaller scale. The staff are really friendly and the classes are the best.

Positive experience: Nice clean gym. Good variety of equipment and alot of space to work with. can get very busy at certain times of the day. only downfall to this gym is that its not open 24hrs

Negative experience: Too small and not enough air ventilation or air conditioning. It gets so hot in the summer and with big glass windows and glaring sun coming through while on treadmills it’s a nightmare, so uncomfortable. Also only really one of every machine so at busy times you got no chance at getting a machine. Too dark at the back where weights are so if they improved all that I’d come back but as is it’s not a comfortable or airy gym to use

Negative experience: Full of kids who faff around on the machines without actually using them but occupying them for hours

Fantastic experience: Really helpful staff and excellent value for money. Could do with a bicycle parking rack. But can’t complain about this gym. Have been with them since they opened and highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I rejoined Energie at the start of the year. I don't do classes, but I like the gym floor as it has plenty of machines and there are lots of handweights, kettle bells etc. There are also lots of bottles of cleaning spray dotted around.

Negative experience: This gym was OK but very small. Classes get booked up quickly so hard to find a class. The website can be quite glitchy too. Cancelled my membership after one class. And I'm getting chased by Harlands to say I'm owing £30.20 even though my first month payment was £10. I called and spoke to the gym, a very helpful manager spoke to me and took payment over the phone and told me he would inform Harlands. I have received another email from Harlands threatening that the fees would keep going up. Avoid this place. Avoid this place

Negative experience: how do you have a cardio room but no windows or ventilation lol..impossible to catch a breath when its busy and hot and stuffy no point going

Fantastic experience: Great local gym with a bit of everything. Helpful and nice staff, always there if you need anything. Longer open hours especially on the weekend would be great but otherwise can’t complain.

Positive experience: Small, 1 of each machine. Gets too busy at times to really concentrate on own routine. Ssame problem as Pure gym. Users smash weights down, thinking it sounds macho.

Fantastic experience: It’s more than just a gym, it’s a group of great people having fun and getting fit. It’s social, everyone feels welcome and the array of classes for every level of fitness is perfect. Cannot fault this gym and the team that work here - I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else

They create a supportive , fun & friendly environment and really take time to get to know each individual and their needs. All the trainers are very welcoming, friendly and helpful - genuinely happy to help clients and support them with their individual goals by sharing knowledge and techniques. Trainers have a real feel for each client and their capabilities, they encourage progression and improvement which is appropriate and within reach. Great range of classes, high energy and good music. Very good value for money.

Negative experience: This gym is full of kids under the age of 16, they come in groups and take up all of the benches and machines.

Positive experience: Great gym. Clean, friendly and with good equipment.

Negative experience: Really small gym. Too many people go there for this gym. Opening hours are short. 3 weight benches in a tiny area. 6 running machines and a few bikes. Classes are always booked out from when they first come available. The price as well does not warrant for such a small gym. Some of the PTs are nice, some of the staff are a bit miserable.

Positive experience: The gym has a discreet selection of equipment, everything is always clean and tidy. And all the equipment and machines are kept in good condition. The gyms itself is unfortunately a bit on the small side, and gets crowded quite easily. When there are classes, which is almost all day back to back, it’s almost impossible to find a spot where to train. On the top floor only 4 people at a time can do full body workout when there are classes going on, which makes training a bit challenging. The gym suffers of a bad ventilation problem as well, as the place can get rather hot and stuffy. The atmosphere at the gym is nice and the staff is great. A bit of a shame about the serious limited available space, because otherwise it would’ve been perfect.

Fantastic experience: This gym is great whether you are a beginner or advanced on your fitness journey. You have all the equipment you need, staff is very friendly and always willing to help with all enquires. It's a welcoming gym and you will meet some amazing people here.I love how mixed the gym is and how you get people from all over the world and backgrounds. Always good energy and good people around you .. creeps are limited. I've been going to this gym for almost a year now and It has special place in my heart. And yes peak times get busy just like any other gym. I also appreciate how much they try to keep up with cleanliness. It's bigger than you think and it's very affordable. I misplaced my AirPods twice in the gym, and both times I managed to get them back just by asking at reception. So I'm very grateful to the members and staff members of this gym. 100% Worth it! <3

Fantastic experience: Joined in 2021 after the pandemic. For a smaller gym, it has a wide selection of machines, racks & free weights. The dumbbells go up to 50kgs which is great. It is always spotlessly clean, well staffed and is really good value for money if you don’t want to spend £££ on a gym membership. It is quiet if you train in the mornings or later in the evenings.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member for a year now and i have to say that the facilities are great and the staff are very helpful (especially Nick as he helped me correct my shoulder problems.) Also the equipment is perfect and has everything you need for a classified small gym.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with great staff, started using a member of the team called James as a PT and he was brilliant, as an office worker who had no real gym experience he helped me learn how to use lots of the equipment, different exercises and put together a plan, he also helped me address a muscle imbalance issue and also offers sports massages which also helped with this. Would highly recommend the gym and James services to anyone

Fantastic experience: Let’s be honest I hate the gym! Until, I started coming to Energie fitness that is. This is a very convenient gym with a wide range of equipment and the staff are friendly and always happy to help. When I signed up, I rarely went, then I enquired about a Personal Training session. Enter Tony, my new PT. Tony is amazing and has done the unthinkable…getting me to use the gym regularly (shock, horror). I have never liked the idea of using a PT before, but Tony knows his stuff and is a great coach/teacher/motivator, it also helps that he knows what he is talking about. He not only plans my gym sessions, he advised on nutrition and will provide me with workout plans for outside of our sessions. I actually look forward to our PT sessions. I dislike him with every fibre of my being after each workout, but that is only because he pushes me, and HE IS GREAT AT WHAT HE DOES. Ok, maybe I like the gym now…a little. If you use this gym and you are considering using a PT, I highly recommend Tony, you won’t regret it.

Fantastic experience: I must say, I've joined this gym recently and it's nothing like I've experienced before. I was met with Josh B, who greeted me with pleasure and a smile and helped me with my quieres and helped me sign up. I was then stuck with an exercise and James, who is one of the personal trainers, came over and made sure I was okay and helped me with my form and was really helpful offering me to help with other exercises which was really useful. Would recommend 100%.

Fantastic experience: This is a great local gym that’s reasonably priced. The equipment and classes are also really great. The BoxFit class is my fav! I’ve been taking sessions with Tony recently over the last few months. The main aims were to get confident at the gym (especially with the weight training), to de stress and to practice pad work as well. I would highly recommend Tony as he’s a knowledgeable and such a patient trainer. My confidence around the weights area has gone up a lot and I feel comfortable to work out without the fear of doing something wrong. I look forward to the gym and my sessions now which is an amazing feeling.
