Positive experience: Recently rejoined Mission gym and have been very impressed with the improvements that have been implemented. New gym flooring throughout, air-conditioning, new euipment and improved layout and storage.

I was impressed by the amount of new equipment, the fresh decor and new flooring and especially the air conditioning! Fantastic experience: I've been coming to Mission Fitness for years now - and I've seen it constantly strive to improve and be the best for its customers. I've been to a number of gyms and chain gyms over the years - Virgin, Better (the other gym in Faringdon) and David Lloyd amongst them, and I have to say that I have found an inclusive home gym here that I've come to love being a part of more than I did in any of those. It's a non-intimidating environment - contrary to what I'm about to say - I came to the gym unfit and unable to lift more than 60kgs or so in a deadlift - I'm now at (under the right circumstances and on a good day) 230kgs or so ... It's been a journey, but one in which I've felt supported and respected along the way. Regular challenges (monthly) and competitions (a couple annually typically) are run but they're really accessible to people and rotate through things that people may excel in ( I, for example, am not a fan of the cardio ones, but enjoy the heavy lifting - others - the opposite ! ) New equipment comes regularly, there is a good range and selection of machines and free weights and - honestly, most importantly to me - a selection of Strongman (person?) equipment available that you'd struggle to find anywhere else - yes, you may have to arrange to get access to the Conan's Wheel or the Car Deadlift - because, let's face it, those require setup and space - but things like logs, heavy sandbags ( I found a 100kg one this morning and failed to lift it ... ), atlas stones, farmers carry frames, and monster 50kg dumbbells are all there for your use. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and the coffee machine is good. It's clean and, with the recently installed air-conditioning, temperate ! Personal training is at a standard that will meet your requirements - from the basic to the advanced with additional skills in mobility, nutrition and sports massage available from members of the team as required. I honestly can't recommend Mission Fitness enough.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for 2yrs now and have been really impressed with the equipment, 24hr access and the friendliness of the staff. I highly recommend this gym. Best in the local area.

Positive experience: I think the gym itself has some good free weight equipment and machines/cardio options, however the app for me (can’t speak for others) has been problematic at times, and the largest thing is how expensive it is, although the facility is good, for me it simply isn’t worth the cost, considering other non chain gyms I frequently go to charge half the price or less. But I know that this can be due to various factors and not entirely in the gyms control.

Positive experience: Although a perfectly adequate gym, sadly the owners refuse to turn on the (small) fans (no A/C) even after numerous members ask. Avoid if you enjoy any level of comfort.

Fantastic experience: Went here for a month while visiting from Australia, can't reccommend it enough. Great gym, well equipped and chill environment. Even has some atlas stones.
