Fantastic experience: Great team , very patient and profesional

Positive experience: Some friends and I went for the foot golf last week. The prior reviews for the foot golf aren’t too good so went in with low expectations and we were pleasantly surprised. Besides a 10-15 minute walk to the first hole, and a flimsy paper score sheet, it was a very fun time. Friendly staff and good facilities, too.

Fantastic experience: Great Lesson, Josh really helped giving my drills and movements to work on between lessons ️‍♂️. And the progress made is great and ongoing!

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a venue for a party then look no further than The Windmill Leisure. Hosted my sons 18th party for about 60 guests. The venue was the perfect size, plenty of room for a disco and dance floor. Bar staff were friendly and very helpful. The venue were very accommodating and although they didn't have Guiness on tap, and we had a few Guiness drinkers at the party , they arranged for cans to be available. Would highly recommend the venue for a party of any kind.

Fantastic experience: Hired The Windmill for my 21st birthday Saturday evening and would recommend to anyone! We were able to go up in the day to put balloons up and the staff helped move the tables and chairs around to fit what we wanted. The staff are all very friendly and were happy to help all night! Great priced drinks as well Couldn’t recommend it enough. Thank you for an amazing night!!

Negative experience: Very nice friendly staff. Sorry to say but the Range is overpriced when compared with others. And it's doesn't have top tracer or similar such as the Bristol golf club or hambrook.

Fantastic experience: Just last weekend we had our engagement party here and I cannot recommend this place enough for event hire! As usual the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, particularly Adrian and Robyn who did everything to make it as stress free and seamless as possible! The venue is spacious and well lit. We had 45 guests with still room for more and we were able to move the tables and chairs to exactly how we wanted it. The catering company the Windmill use are also brilliant, everyone commented how lovely the food was. We were able to cater the food selection to suit everyone’s need and there was such a variety of choices to choose from. My partner may be a member here for years (and I also attend regularly too) but by no means does this make us biased. It’s just a great venue with excellent staff! Everyone who attended praised the venue and food, we were so pleased. I highly recommend to anyone looking to host a party or event.

Fantastic experience: Hired The Windmill golf range for an engagement lunch for my daughter and her fiance. We were allowed to rearrange the room the night before and how we wanted it, nothing was too much trouble for the team. Bar was open and well staffed with friendly and accommodating staff. We hired their recommended caterers who also did a fantastic spread for us. All in all a great place for a small function, plenty of car parking also! Thank you very much to Adrian and his team

Fantastic experience: Having been a long term visitor to the Windmill facilitiy, I've seen it evolve (very much for the better) over the past few years and not just because they moved out of the portacabin.... The very friendly and always helpful staff have grown with the become company and for me, is one of the key reasons they get repeat business weeks in and week out. My daughter and I have both benefitted from individual and group lessons with Josh and I can confirm that my enjoyment of golf has increased greatly as a result... In terms of constructive feedback, I'd like to see the range get a much needed make over as a number of the bays are getting very tired and the targets, somewhat outdated....

Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities, best quality range balls I've found in the area, at courses too. Welcoming and helpful staff. Shops range of products is good and price matched online. Great range of manufacturer clubs available for custom fit. There's even a bar on site! I've been having lessons with Josh over the past 12 months and have made huge strides with my game with his help, tips, notes and videos to refer back to via an app. His ability to tailor his coaching approach to suit me has made the biggest difference though.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending Josh Mayo’s Ladies roll up session on Friday mornings quite regularly since before Covid and I’ve progressed well due to Josh’s weekly tip plus this gave me the confidence to join a club! There are many ladies attending regularly, so very friendly - plus tea or coffee thrown in! Josh often records his private coaching sessions to keep on your phone to review later.

Fantastic experience: Started using Windmill this year to practice and improve my game. I've found it to be a brilliant centre to go to. Everyone who works there always gives fantastic service. I love that so many of you who are there love golf, and show it in your interactions. The coffee is always top notch, the facilities are always on point, and the service is always the best reason to come back. Also huge thank you to Josh for the lessons he has been giving me, and for the event day that he set up. I seriously couldn't give that guy enough praise for his teaching methods!

Fantastic experience: Top marks to the staff at Windmill Leisure, especially Adrian the archery instructor. My daughter recently celebrated her Birthday at Windmill, with an Archery party for her and a number of friends. Adrian went out of his way to ensure they learned something, had a great time and remained safe. A reserved area for snacks and drinks on arrival, and fun games, with a few rewards thrown in. My daughter had a fantastic time, and her friends thought it was fab also. Would highly recommend them, if you fancy an archery party.

Fantastic experience: Visited the driving range with a friend and found the staff and facilities were great. From the carpark I followed the self explanatory one way system to be welcomed by staff at the counter and helped out (being a newbie to golf) to know what to do and where to go. You don't need to be a member to visit. Face masks are to be worn inside and can be taken off once you're at the range. We enjoyed hot and cold drinks while hitting some golf balls down range and had an awesome time, we'll definately be back.

Fantastic experience: Bought a reconditioned motocaddy and a new bag from these guys and I can't moan about anything. Service was brilliant and staff friendly. I will definitely be using them again.

Fantastic experience: I use Windmill to practice all year round and the facilities are great. Mats are regularly replaced, the floodlit chipping area is great in the winter and the staff are all helpful. Adrian has been fantastic in supporting me to get the right equipment to support an ongoing injury. He took time to understand my problem, helped me to find a solution and even gave me some free swing tips. If you need any help with your golf game or equipment I would recommend Windmill as the best place in Bristol.

Negative experience: Very disappointing, would not recommend! Its hard to see how Windmill are able to describe this as a Footgolf course. It is simply a unmaintained field with flags in and very little signposting. There are no greens, fairways or bunkers like you would typically see on a footgolf course. The grass is very long and the ground very uneven meaning there is a high chance of you twisting your ankle. As you can see from the images we went on a sunny day and the ground was very waterlogged. I am being 100% genuine when i say we even saw 3 ducks in the field on the water! In fairness we were given a full refund when we complained however it does not make up for the time wasted walking there. They also describe it as walkable from the clubhouse, however that is a dangerous assumption. It involves a good 5 minute walk along an A road with no pavement or walk way. We waded through what we thought was a farmers field until we started noticing it had golf flags in it ... turns out that was the course! Terrible attempt at a footgolf course so unless a lot of maintenance and effort is put in i would not recommend visiting any time soon.

Positive experience: Enjoyed my first experience of Footgolf at Windmill Leasure. The course was very wet in places and could be better maintained. Seemed like it hadn't be touched since it was made but could be due to the time of year. Some tee's were quite hard to spot due to the grass needing a cut, some direction arrows etc would be helpful. Would go back, but only in the summer when the weather is better.

Positive experience: Great morning with a lesson from Jo and then foot golf which was fun but very wet and soggy. Feels a bit like some flags in a random field but perhaps with all the development clearly on going this had potential to be something special. We had fun anyway.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this place. The customer service is amazing from every member of staff. For me, Jo stands out above the rest. She has been the best thing to happen to my golf game since starting. Ive had lessons before, but my lessons with Jo have knocked 20 strokes off my game. Recently went through a custom fitting with Jo, and ended up buying a driver and a new set of irons. Jo has a real passion for custom fit, and this shows through the experience. Overall an amazing facility paired with amazing staff.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff very welcoming when you arrive as a newbie and a regular. My daughter goes to the junior lessons on a saturday with Adrian Smith pro golfer who is amazing and very encouraging with the kids. She always comes back happy and looking forward going again. Joe in the club house is always happy and full of smiles for everyone, makes a cracking hot chocolate also.... hey Joe ;0)

Positive experience: Nice putting green really fast. Driving range ok but could do with more flood lights to lighten up the range as you can’t see your ball when it’s darker so you don’t no where your ball is going. You could be going left or right but you can’t see it.

Negative experience: 5 of us went to play footgolf here after looking up other courses for £10 each is was a massive let down, not that it's a lot of money it's just the facilities and lay out and care of the ground was well below any reasonable standard you would expect. After paying we were told we could drive there but the lady behind the desk (who was actually really nice) didn't know where it was but just by the garden centre......but where's that? So we found it and turned up to a non mowed field I wasn't sure whether to start bailing or having a kick about. If it was £5 each then fair enough but just go somewhere else it's really not worth it.
