Fantastic experience: Just got 2 box meals from here being diabetic I’m limited but wow was amazing, I had Salmon my son had Chicken and £5 each was such a nice healthy meal and the people are super nice too

Fantastic experience: My son has been going to Essex Ringside for around 8 weeks now. He loves it Darren the coach is Amazing with the kids and treats them all as individuals, and makes them all feel special in there own way. Since going my sons confidence has come on leaps and bounds, and I believe that's down to Darren we are always made to feel welcome in there by Darren and Marie.. I also go to the adult class on a Monday and really enjoy it. I highly recommend Essex Ringside, for both children and Adults The food is amazing aswell

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed in the comments from Darren the coach of ringside boxing club which my grandson attended and has been excluded in all honesty Darren when he started you said he is is lively and a bit naughty that was it really I did speak on another occasion briefly with another guy that was with u he said he had had ADHD and boxing was great for him after that but it was just a general conversation so u were aware of the challenges my grandson was facing after that we really didn’t have any conversation after may 17th when the cafe was open a week after my grandsons lesson I was approached by your wife I was informed he was on a warning in a cafe packed full of people should this not have been addressed at this time I should of been taken aside in a professional way I also spoke to your wife to try and come up with a solution but to be quite honest it was on deaf ears I told her I would just come on a Wednesday n a Friday which I was informed Fridays were fully booked and she put put him on a waiting list . We arrived for our Wednesday lesson everyone had been contacted of time change but not us , I also find out letters went out for parents to come n c the progress made in a exhibition my grandsons name was not on this list yr decision was made to exclude without discussing it with us u have failed as a coach to act in a professional way to call us to speak privately u should be actually ashamed of yr behaviour we accept my grandson has a extremely low attention disorder but u labelled him naughty we tried to discuss about 121 again yr wife was not interested n dismissive so we emailed for prices we have never once had a problem with u Darren my grandson loved u n loved training with you the issue is with yr wife her lack of empathy and understanding instead of supporting and speaking with his family she wrote him off we feel it was more a instant dislike towards the child instead of putting all this on us u need to take a step back and look at how u dealt with with situation and take responsibility fir it and hopefully learn from it

Negative experience: I have been sending my son here for a while and after today I am disgusted with the professionalism of this place. My son is on the spectrum and we were made aware of some issues regarding his behaviour. For weeks we had been told about it and I always made sure to give him a talk and make him ready today we turn up for a class and it started at 4 we were not informed of this change. We are then told that his behaviour in the last lesson was unacceptable and this would be his last they took my money for 30 minutes of class! I said no asked for a refund and removed him. These people are not trained to work with children the lady has no people skills or empathy towards children. Instead of contacting us privately or asking for a call this was done mid lesson around lots of people. Never one was support offered to maybe do private 122 lessons or even give advice this is how I know they're not trained to be around kids. Instead no hes not allowed to come. It was ok when they had no children in any of the classes were happy to take my money then and ignore the behaviour but instead only made me aware 3 weeks ago. The classes are too full they clearly cannot give every child attention and I will never ever recommend this boxing club to another person. It's how they have gone about it. I am disgusted at how this has been handled. A professional would have tried to work this out with the parent and tried to come up with a solution. You should be ashamed. My son is devastated

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend Essex Ringside and Darren Carter highly enough ! My Son, 7 at the time, was suffering Socialising and Confidence issues at school and straight away Darren became a friend to him and took him under his wing. His transformation was almost instant, and two years later he is still thriving, my only wish is I had the time to take him to classes during the week ! During the isolation, Kelly has been doing Darren’s online PT classes which he absolutely loves, puts so much effort in and I find it a great relief for him to be staying so active ! Don’t waste any time if you are considering speaking to Darren, he can help you out for sure

Fantastic experience: Darren coaches myself and my son. Darren is a great trainer/coach. We both attend the boxing sessions. They are enjoyable with great results. We are both fitter, stronger and our confidence has grown. We are pushed to achieve better results every session whilst our individual needs are met. Everyone that attends the gym are friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with Darren about two years. He is a fantastic PT and coach, hes helped me through my training when I was doing it just for fitness and right up to my first fight in Feb. He was so supportive... the gym environment he has made is amazing. Highly recommend him for beginners and experienced alike.

Fantastic experience: I started training at Essex ringside after taking my son to the junior class and saw how well run it all is, within just a few classes you can feel your confidence and skill improving, the junior classes have been amazing for my son and the class is a small size so none of the kids feel left out and that’s the same with the adult class, Coach Darren takes time with everyone individually as well as the group together, Darren and Maria have created a safe, fun and family environment to train in, 100% recommend

Fantastic experience: Brilliant boxing gym and personal training. Darren is a fantastic coach, helped me to overcome and recover from an serious injury with PT sessions. He always adapts the sessions so no matter what your ability and experience, you’ll get the best results.

Fantastic experience: I joined Darren to help lose weight for an operation I needed to have. Not only have I lost weight, Darren has helped improve my diet as well as boosting my confidence. People often comment on how much better and how well I look. I feel much better in myself and my fitness has greatly improved. I highly recommend Darren to anyone looking to get in shape or just improve their overall fitness. Classes are fun and varied and I now love working out.

Fantastic experience: Essex ringside.An excellent little gym, with exceptional training and tuition. My 12 year old son has been attending here for coming on a year,and thoroughly enjoys his time there. I would recommend Essex ringside for everybody no matter what your abilities and fitness. A great place with a great friendly atmosphere.
