Welcome to TK-Fitness, I’m Toby King, a personal trainer in Cardiff and I have over 20 years of experience working within fitness & county level athletics coaching. The knowledge I have acquired is unique and enables me to cater for all abilities.
If you are looking for expert guidance in weight loss, muscular development, increased stamina, core conditioning as well as health & lifestyle wellbeing, I can help you.
I have an extensive background working with a wide variety of clients, each with individual and specific needs. Ranging from post surgery rehabilitation, including knee and hip replacement, heart procedures as well as pre and post natal. I have assisted clients meeting fitness requirements for the armed forces & emergency services, achieving truly impressive weight loss success stories. Not to mention helping clients get into the best possible shape for their wedding day.
I have undertaken challenges such as the 3 peaks, several Marathons and half marathons and long distance cycle rides. I regularly take part in events with my clients.
Best coach I had, always pushing, always motivating, and always keeps it real. He keeps the training to your level and raising it if he sees it’s fit, of course there are bad days when you feel your body reached it’s limit but that’s how you know your body is improving. Always there beside you helping you push further into your limits.
Toby is really helping me regain my stamina. He’s found exercises that work for me even thought I have some injuries and keeps me motivated. I won’t pretend it’s easy- but having Toby’s support really does mean I’m training harder and smarter than would be able to do on my own!
I have been working out with Toby for just over a year and a half now. Toby was great from the start, easing me into it and making it as enjoyable as it could be. After 7 months I had lost 3 stone and went from being unable to maintain a jog to running 10k outside!

I have just started training with Tobias and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a personal trainer. Tobias is extremely motivational, knowledgable and positive. He caters for any injuries or weaknesses you may have, and explains everything in detail. He introduced me to a new healthy eating diet, and after even two weeks, I I am noticing a big difference.

Toby is a fantastic trainer. He has helped me regain confidence in training following a knee injury that had made me nervous about exercising. He is very intuitive and always knows when I need encouragement to push a bit harder or when I’m struggling. He regularly checks in in between sessions to offer support and advice, helping to keep me motivated with both fitness and nutrition. He is always accommodating with my schedule as shift work can often make it difficult to find times to train. I have seen great improvements in my fitness and Toby has helped me to enjoy continuing to challenge myself.
Toby is an amazing trainer! Best one I’ve had yet! He is patient, motivating, accommodating for anyone with a busy schedule. He cares about your fitness and health just as much as you do and he’s always very attentive, understanding and helpful. Not to mention that he is a nutrition expert, which just takes your training that much further! After a month I’m already noticing a huge difference in my stamina, health and appearance, truly a great trainer!
Toby really challenges me and knows my capabilities or how much more I can be pushed. He’s very intuitive and easy to work with while still challenging me to work harder each session , I would never have been able to start taking my fitness more seriously without him as he is able to give a break down of body weight , body fat percentage, muscle mass etc. Thus allowing me to understand all the different components there are to weight loss.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a personal trainer to take me to the next step. I had been training for sometime, but my results had plateaued and I was really struggling to progress. After contacting several trainers I decided to choose TK-Fitness. I put my faith in Tobias because he is professional and has fantastic background knowledge, which gave me confidence to start working with him. After a free consultation I decided to commit to the 12 week program. This was structured around my goals and lifestyle commitments. Tobias really shook up my training and nutrition and also gave me a completely different outlook to training. Now I train smart and keep the balance. After the 12 week program, I had dropped 5.4% body fat, increased muscle mass and my speed and overall performance had improved a lot. I still work with Tobias training twice a week and taking advantage of his nutrition expertise. If you're looking for a knowledgeable trainer, then I really recommend getting in touch with him.
Positive experience: While I appreciate that life happens and cancellations can occur, having half of the sessions cancelled last minute and rescheduled is not really acceptable for me.. The sessions were usually cancelled on the day - few hours before or when I was on the way to the gym. The last minute cancellation meant that I did not get workout done thinking I will have a session (not to mention the inconvenience of rearranging my schedule).. Since I was doing rehabilitation work, the consistency was very important, and the constant cancellations meant I did not progress as much as I could have with more consistent approach!

Fantastic experience: I was training with Toby to loose weight and keep my gymnast body, and it was a perfect experience for me to have a personal trainer as Toby. He is really understanding and keep me really motivated each session with him, he is keeping me updated of my progress and I really appreciate that. Also, he is supporting and encouraging me to give my best even when it's getting harder ! I ll 100% recommend you Toby if you want quick result! The training session are regular and he is flexible with the hours when you really need to. Really great experience.

Toby was great from the start , easing me into the training and making it as enjoyable as it could be.
