I'm recovering from elbow surgery and have arthritis in my hands so found it very hard to help my daughter with the clips. Positive experience: We went climbing today with my 3 year old for the first time, he loved it. Good instruction from Nicole and all staff were helpful and seemed really happy which is nice. Everything was clean and in good condition. Only downside was that there was just one toilet available for quite a few people, so had a close call with my child!

Fantastic experience: Thank you to Clip 'n Climb Derby for a wonderful birthday party for my 5 year old. The kids had a brilliant time, they loved the climbing and the soft play in the toddler party, the instructors were brilliant and reassuring. A huge thank you to Vicki, Pheobe and Mia in the cafe for catering for a variety of dietary requirements and also for helping me to get the cake ready on a warm day! We had a great time.

Positive experience: I came yesterday with my 2 children and they loved every minute of it! The three instructors jack , Nicole and lilly were excellent - encouraging the climbers to try the challenges. My kids loved the leap of fate so thanks to Jack and lilly who helped them jump off! Great day out, will be back soon.

Fantastic experience: My daughter was really nervous, flat out refused to climb, was way to scared. But the two instructors we had with us, Naomi and Jack, were great. Really calm and friendly, climbed with my daughter for her first one and then there was no stopping her. We had a fantastic day and I'm sure we'll be back plenty of times.

Fantastic experience: We chose Clip n Climb Derby for our son to celebrate his 5th Birthday. We had the maximum 25 children to take part in the climb which was great because it meant that they got exclusive use of the climb area. The staff were pleasant and were accommodating, the climb staff were super with the 4/5 year olds. It was a shame that the food/lunch wasn’t slightly better organised but it didn’t take away from the great time our son and all his friends had!

Fantastic experience: First time visiting here, I use a wheelchair so was unsure how it'd be but was made to feel really welcome. Leanne (think she's the assistant manager?) is fantastic, she was friendly, welcoming, told us about special accessibility things they offer to help someone like me climb, etc, etc... absolutely brilliant! We'll definitely be coming back again!

Fantastic experience: Thank you so much Clip 'n Climb Derby and in particular, Isla's absolute favourite instructor, Teo. Isla started climbing last year and couldn't get very far up any wall but after doing 2 Rockstar courses and a few toddler sessions, she smashed 5 full walls in one session this week! Most of this has come from all the help and encouragement from Teo - he always makes time for her and finds fun ways to get her to reach the top of the walls. She wouldn't be as good as she is today without him and I honestly cannot praise him enough for everything he has done for her. Isla wanted to add "Teo, thank you for helping me, I love you so much!"

Fantastic experience: Thank you to the team at Clip & Climb Derby. I took a 5yr old and 9yr old, lovely welcome from Leanne to check in. Great introduction from Lily, and huge thanks to Dom who took on my eldest sons challenge to race up a wall and then went onto encourage him to try the legal of faith! Tao helped encourage and inspire my son on the leap of faith! Best day ever for my boys! We recommend also the food after (thanks to Vic, Maia, Phoebe & Tamia).

Positive experience: It was good - the staff were helpful and good with my nephews. However, two cups of tea were £4.40 (which is expensive) and although the cafe shuts at 5pm, it says no hot food from 4pm which doesn’t match with the website. I would argue that 18 in a group is a lot of climbers as there was a lot of waiting around and when you have inexperienced children, it can be quite intimidating when people are watching.

Fantastic experience: What a great environment for children, we were down on holiday from Scodland and Kaci, Leanne and Tamia made or stay one to remember. Kaci was very good at looking after us and we look forward to coming back.

Fantastic experience: The staff were brilliant with my son’s yesterday at the toddler session. One lady called Lilly spent most of the session helping my 3yo who was very nervous and didn’t want to do it, by the time the session was over he was loving it. Another bloke called Dom was great with my other son, talking through a hard climb and being so patient with him. The ladies on reception were lovely as well.

Fantastic experience: 1st visit with the Grand kids & they loved it. Booked the toddler session which offered a combination of climbing & Softplay. Dom was great with the kids really encouraging them. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: We came to Clip and Climb Derby for the toddler session (with an adult sign up to climb as well) this week. The team were friendly and helpful to children and adult alike, both of whom were climbing for the first time. Teo in particular was really helpful in helping my child gain confidence in climbing up the wall by himself, which we really appreciated. The soft play and cafe is an added bonus, meaning we had a really nice family experience here. Will definitely be back.

Girls had great time! Food and drinks were ok. We had climb and dine deal and I think it was very good value.

Positive experience: Pricey for what you actually get. Booked a kids party, could not be more basic. Food was basic and cheap. My daughter was disappointed and cried at home saying her party wasn't good and this is a kid who is very easily pleased ans gets excited by most things. The kids tend to wander around either unable to clip/unclip themselves for a while before anyone helps them or have to wait around to go on. By the time they start getting into it, time's up. There was no party host checking in, they got a paper bag with a white bread sandwich with either ham, cheese spread or jam, a packet of Quavers, small box of very dry raisins and some sweets. It's fun, but pricey for what you actually get...

Fantastic experience: Freedom climbing for kids and adults with huge range of difficulties makes this venue stand-out. I came here for an adult-only session and my wife and I were the only ones there. The staff member, Teo, walked us through how it worked pretty quickly and set us loose. We wanted to progress through the different walls roughly in difficulty order so we asked for that and Teo guided us around, giving some tips and pointers for how to handle each climb. The climbing system is innovative and great. You are given a harness when you arrive and then you clip onto a rope at each climbing wall when you want to climb it. The rope winds up as you climb and if you fall it unwinds slowly, lowering you to the ground. When you reach the top you just jump off to come down. This method makes the safety aspect really easy so you can just enjoy the climbing. The actual climbing walls themselves are awesome too. Some were really easy with handholds and foothold everywhere. You can whizz up them. Others were challenging jna range of ways. Some had fewer handholds. Some had holds but not the conventional kind with room to hook your fingers over - sometimes you had to grab upwards or squeeze it to get a grip. One was all balance to walk up with no hand holds. One had big overhangs to pull yourself round. There was also a speed wall for competitions. My wife and I enjoyed trying to get the best time. And the "hardest" one - the "vine" - well - You'll have to go and try the vine I suppose. The variety was great to see and a real asset to the experience. Then there was some soft play a cafe, and some other general entertainment like maybe some arcade machines that I honesty really didn't look at. But it's clear there's enough supplementary stuff for younger siblings or parents etc. The price seemed fair too. We paid £10 for the hour. They were quite hot on us stopping after the hour, but then we'd paid for an hour and we were the last session and they wanted to go home so that all seems great. There weren't kids there when we were there but I could imagine how great it would be for kids to have the freedom of trying all the different walls as their friends watched on. Overall, great place and really recommend.

Fantastic experience: My Daughter's birthday party was held here and the staff are just simply amazing! Willing to go above and beyond helping the guests getting themselves clipped on and off to climb, lovely hot party food (Ice cream too!), and a clean welcoming environment upon arrival. The staff were all kind, professional and passionate about their roles at the centre. The kids get around 50 minutes to climb and about 40 minutes to eat and sing happy birthday etc. Everyone seemed to have a great time! Thank you so much Clip n Climb Derby!

Positive experience: Had my sons birthday party , the climbing bit was fun , the kids enjoyed it and the instructions and safety aspect was good . It was the party hall and the food which were a let down. The room given to us had a really musty odour which never really went away inspite of us asking for a room freshener which was used by the staff. The quality of food and the quantity was meagre compared to other places where kids birthday parties are hosted.

Fantastic experience: Took my 10 year old daughter and her friend for a half term treat today and they loved it! My daughters friend is a little wary of heights and I cannot praise Jay highly enough! He went above and beyond and actually clipped himself on to climb with her to encourage and reassure her. Both Jay and the other member of staff (Ty I think) were welcoming, helpful and encouraging with all the climbers. We will certainly be back soon! Thank Jay and the team at Clip n Climb Derby!

Positive experience: I took students from Bemrose School. They had a fabulously, up building time. The staff were very caring and put themselves to make students got the very best from the visit.

Fantastic experience: Went to the Derby site for my littles ones 7th birthday on 02/10/23 and what a great environment! One particular member of staff Teo, was absolutely amazing. He spent time helping my nervous daughter and her friend, even managed to get them both to the top of some walls, which they have never done. To top it all off, he even helped the bigger kids, me (32 Y/O) get up the speed walls in my record time which made me very excitable thank you to all the staff, especially Teo, an asset to this role!

I would particularly praise the staff here - they go above and beyond every single time to make sure my daughter has a great experience and they are so encouraging and helpful. I would give special mention to Teo, Jay, Rueben and Eliza for all their help, but all of the staff are brilliant, including the reception and cafe staff.

Fantastic experience: We have been to this play a few times all the staff have been very polite and very friendly. My little girl was having great fun in the soft play, but wanted to have a go on the clip and climb. I asked the young staff member name of Eliza if it would be possible for her to have a quick trail, without hesitation she said that would be fine, my little girl loved it. All I can say if you have never been to this place try it out as I would give this place 100%. WELL DONE GUYS.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a toddler (under 5s) birthday party and it was brilliant. The instructors (Dom, Abbie, Jay and Isabelle) were very helpful and welcoming. The lady on reception and also the ladies in cafe were all very polite and wanted to make sure the party was running smoothly. The new soft play was a hit also so I would recommend booking a party to anyone.

Fantastic experience: First time of going to Clip and Climb. We took our 3 year old daughter. The place was immaculate, and really reasonable in price. My daughter was very nervous about climbing, but Dom one of the instructors was incredible, he somehow managed to get her to climb half way up the walls without fear! Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: We took our 6 year old and 22 month old yesterday. Our 6 year old had a brilliant time climbing, the instructors are so helpful and happy to help, with a clear passion for their job. We then went to the soft play with both girls after. Really impressed by the size of the soft play, perfect for both to play. Soft play was very clean and staff were regularly cleaning bits even when we were there. It was definitely the best experience of soft play we've had in the Derby area for a long time. The cafe is brilliant. We enjoyed a lovely Coronation cream tea, a hot breakfast cob and children's pasta. Food was very well presented and delicious! We didn't have to wait long either for the food which was great. Staff were very accommodating with the food requests for children's food too. Zoe and Shannon were particularly welcoming and friendly, really brilliant staff. Will definitely return to the climbing and also soft play with the little one

Fantastic experience: Took my 5 year old today and Teo the instructor couldn’t have been more helpful. My son was very apprehensive and he was reassuring and encouraging in just the right way. He was having a great time and it was all smiles after that. Thank you Teo! The facility itself is very clean, colourful and fun. Highly recommend! Definitely recommend.

My son wanted some food so we headed to the cafe and all the ladies Grace , Zoe and Beth were extremely polite and so helpful.. they asked if everything was ok with the food which was very tasty as my son said, they were so kind. Positive experience: Very decent place to come to bring the kids , with a great climb course but also solid soft play. Caters for parties and has a decent cafe , my only gripe is to have better coffee and refreshments.

Fantastic experience: Today we tried the new soft play at clip and climb. We really enjoyed the experience there today, the soft play was big enough to keep them entertained for the time there, they really liked it. The food we ordered came fast and great quality. The staff were so friendly and kind to help. Kaci was so helpful to fetch the youngest of our group twice from the top bit of the soft play, and even gave the kids some free haribo. Thank you Kaci! We will visit again soon.

Fantastic experience: What a great climbing place! came here for the toddler session with my 4 year old, staff member really encouraged my son to climb high by hiding sweets on the climbing walls, really helpful and attentive staff what a fabulous place and great fun! Fantastic experience: This place is amazing!! It comes with different levels of clumbing from beginner to more experienced. It also comes with different shaped climbing surfaces, such as the normal flat walls, oddly placed spheres and logs. I had lots of fun and the staff members were super friendly and very helpful! Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a fun day out.

Fantastic experience: Great time, really good value for money to have the soft play with the climbing. Cafe was nice, Zoe was very welcoming and helped my kid get the drink she wanted.

Negative experience: Attended for a child’s party today and the experience initially started great as the staff member in the reception area and the staff teaching/training the children in the climb area were warm, kind and friendly however the staff at the cafe were dismissive and behaved in a manner that evidenced they didn’t want to be at work. Their mannerisms and attitude towards the party holders and guests was rude and they turned the lights off in the cafe area and the soft play at 5 however the wristband stipulated 4-5:30? The food cooked for the toddlers looked rushed as the hot dog bun had no butter and the fries were dripping with oil and undercooked. Midst the children eating at 5:15 the host was being told to leave as they needed to close however the website states they close at 6? This further escalated as the staff then returned and stated “get out now” and informed the host they would be calling the police? This was clearly upsetting and distressing for the host alongside the guests that witnessed this behavior. The manager was allegedly crying and unable to to regulate her emotions, as she felt that the guests needed to leave. The manager and some of the staff require to engage in self reflection as how could you rationalize telling guests to get out and call police at a Childrens party. Appalling behaviour and I will not be returning, I can imagine every person that was privy to this behaviour will also not be returning. Hope the host gets a full refund!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking my son here once a month for a while now, we always get such a warm welcome and he has the best time while he’s there. The climb team are fantastic and the cafe team are awesome too, my son had a ball on the new soft play equipment this weekend, special thanks to Grace for keeping him entertained, I think he probably wore her out!

Fantastic experience: Had a great time here with my 2.5 year old this morning! Staff couldn't have been more helpful, especially Grace who went out of her way to make sure he had a lovely time. Good atmosphere and plenty to do whilst not feeling too busy. The pasta made by Loz vanished instantly so it must have been good!

Fantastic experience: The only criticism I have is increasing prices to peak prices on weekdays during school holidays. Although they try to provide some offers during the school holidays it would be better for families if the price remained £9 during weekdays. Apart from that little moan I can’t rate this place highly enough. The staff are lovely, especially those supporting climbing sessions, these members are a true credit to the business. Tao, Tyler, Dom and Kacie - Lee are fantastic. Although these staff are young, they are so mature and have an endless amount of patience.They are responsible and have excellent customer service skills. They are brilliant with the kids and are very caring and encouraging. They ooze positive energy and it is a pleasure to see young people/adults being so responsible and professional. Well done to all, you are a an asset to the business and the people that you provide a service to!

Fantastic experience: Took my 2 & 1/2 yr old today for the toddler session. She's probably a bit young for it to be honest as she was a bit apprensive about the actual climbing (although she loved falling off ). I was a bit reticent about taking her if she wouldn't be climbing , but for your ten pounds you get climbing, lunch bag (decent amount of food), and unlimited softplay. There's also a craft room upstairs which I forgot about on this visit, but we'll check it out another day. The staff were all very welcoming and relaxed, in particular Zoe & Vic Tyler. I'll definitely visit again, like I say even if she doesn't want to climb we can always do the other stuff.

Fantastic experience: I took my grandson a while ago and he really enjoyed himself. A huge thank you to Dom in the arena for encouraging him along with Eliza and kacie for being so lovely and approachable on reception and answering every question I had (I had quite a lot of them haha)

Fantastic experience: Great afternoon at Clip and Climb for my daughters birthday! Zoe and Beth went the extra mile helping us out with a last minute change to food as well!....thank you to all the staff, you all heelped make the occasion special!

Fantastic experience: I love this place and my daughter really enjoys it too. The toddler session is great for little one and it’s really great they can have a sibling joins them. Zoe is very friendly who is amazing and makes the best brews and the bacon cobs are lush. The meals provided for toddlers are tasty and plentiful and I like the fact they have a choice. Thank you Zoe for looking after my hungry children. Tao and his buddy (blonde hair) are very helpful and ensure everyone is safe. They explain everything clearly and are quick to help of needed. They are very friendly and engage with the children well. It’s great that there is a little soft play as well for the children to play whilst the adults can enjoy a brew!
