If you’re looking for a restful retreat in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, you’ve come to the right place. Housed in an ancient barn, adjacent to The Devonshire Arms Hotel, is The Devonshire Spa. With wonderful spaces, an expert team of staff, and the tranquillity of the Dales on our doorstep, it’s a spa you’ll want to return to time and time again.

Our spa hotel in the Yorkshire Dales as all the amenities for a relaxation inducing spa day, such as, state–of-the-art vitality pool, sauna, steam room, rasul chamber and lounge. We also offer a range of Temple Spa treatments, spa day experiences and gym sessions. Or, for something more intimate, our Secret Spa, a collection of secluded spa sanctuaries overlooking the Dales, awaits.

Children under 16 years of age are not permitted to use the spa facilities. In our efforts to be greener it would be appreciated if you could bring suitable footwear for use during your spa visit, e.g. flipflops.

All treatments should be booked in advance through our spa reservations team on 01756 718142. Full payment is required at the time of booking, and we cannot reserve appointments without prepayment.

Visiting a spa should be a time of complete indulgence for everyone. There are a plethora of myths surrounding whether massage is safe whilst undergoing cancer treatment and the reality is that it is perfectly safe if adaptations are made. All of our therapists have completed an Amethyst Trust training course in welcoming guests who have had or currently have cancer. We provide safe and inclusive treatments to those touched by cancer and are pleased to be able to embrace the amazing benefits of massage therapy to treat those clients safely and effectively.

Full prepayment will be taken at the time of booking, which is non-refundable. In the event you need to cancel your appointment, it can be rescheduled but we need at least 24 hours notice prior to the appointment. Within 24 hours the deposit will be charged.

Fantastic experience: Amazing place for relaxation! Decent size swimming pool, sauna and the treatments were excellent. All staff polite and professional and had 6 hours there to use facilities in a timely manner Shower and changing rooms for both men and women are upstairs Would reccomend

Fantastic experience: Honestly the best spa day I have ever been to (and I have had a few), the tents are great and I really like having an itinerary for the day (I know this is for covid but it should definitely ben kept!), massage was fantastic and a lovely lunch (catered for vegan and veggie beautifully!) And a reasonable price too.

Positive experience: Attended for a quick relax before the birth of our first baby. Our first 45mins was accompanied by a lawnmower, going back and forth right next to our bell tent. The bell tent was visited by wasps constantly, and we were constantly bothered by them throughout the day. I should have researched before coming, but assumed I'd be able to splash out a few quid and get a nice snack on arrival for breakfast, but the offering was crisps, flapjack and brownie. And they only had the crisps in stock. So crisps for breakfast it was! Nice crisps though The setting is nice, the facilities are nice, we managed to relax and make the most of it. Sadly, the experience means we're in no rush to go back

Fantastic experience: Les Compagnons du Beaujolais held their « Délices d’Automne » dinner recently with 82 Compagnons and guests. Chef Paul Leonard offered an excellent menu with haunche of venison as the main course.Service and quality of presentation were of the highest standard, complemented by the Compagnons’ selection of wines.(Cremant de Bourgogne, Beaujolais Blanc, Regnié and Chiroubles )

Fantastic experience: Took my mom here for mother's day and it was superb. Afternoon tea was very good and the whole day was peaceful. Not too many people. Good facilities. Staff extremely welcoming. Treatments on offer have a great range at a decent cost.

Fantastic experience: A high quality spa with efficient and friendly staff. Gym was good with all the equipment you would expect. There was a reasonable sized pool with jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Varied treatments.
