Fantastic experience: I booked a taster 1-1 session with Sarah… what a great experience! I had never done a reformer pilates class before so wasn't sure what to expect. Sarah is an excellent teacher - ensuring that I did the exercises properly and safely, as well as providing options to find a challenging but achievable level. I thoroughly enjoyed the class and left feeling that I had a good workout .

Fantastic experience: Great little gym while on holiday. It has enough weight machine variety for each muscle group, a good range of free weights and all the cardio machines. Staff are friendly and helpful and everything is clean. The first gym I've been to where people re-rack their weights!

Fantastic experience: My husband is a member already. I was/am having some issues so told that joining the gym would be good for me. So many gyms in the area but went with Hockley Gym. So friendly, staff recognise you by face by 2nd visit. All the equipment you need with no expectation. Never been a Gym person but I'm there most days. So friendly.. Worth every penny.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, surprisingly spacious and great range of machines and free weights. Excellent value for money, especially if you're joining with a partner would love to see a speed bag added!

Fantastic experience: The gym is amazing, and very accessible apart from the entrance being a little steep it is a great gym. The staff are really nice and helpful, it is equipped with fantastic equipment that you can wheel into by moving the seat out of the way. Adjustable height seats and seats that are big enough to transfer onto if you need. I could go as far as saying a wheelchair users dream and great place to start if you are a beginner to the gym. Just don't go thinking that every other gym is like this, because they're not! Brilliant place to start your exercise journey!!

Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym with everything you need and unlike the other nearby gyms you don’t have to queue for everything piece of equipment! The staff are super friendly and always there to help wether that’s showing you how to do something to being a spotter! I have PT sessions with Gemma who’s amazing and would highly recommend! Overall very good gym.

Positive experience: We enjoyed using the gym whilst we were living in Hockley, it had a good range of equipment and friendly staff.

Negative experience: Really friendly staff and a good location. Unfortunately the rest was not great . Changing facilities were old , broken and definitely not “recently refurbished” as the website suggests. Every weight bench had rips , the dumbbells weren’t labelled with the weight, were bent out of shape and loose . Most machines either had something loose or broken on them. Was a shame

Fantastic experience: Hockley Gym has made good use of Lockdown2, what a great re-vamp! Great use of the space and well thought out, well done Mo & team. 2023 addition: All the equipment you need for cardio or weights workout. Mo and his team are very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. I’ve been a member for around 7 years and it’s a safe place to workout - I’ve never had any unwanted attention. There are so many regular clients that there’s always someone to say hello to (if you want).

Or for the younger of us to get into shape.. staff also extremely helpful and willing to help where ever they can, be it just a program for you to follow, to training to where ever your goals are..

Positive experience: Great gym if you just want to work out and don't need all the fancy stuff like sauna, steam room etc. Staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and encouraging. It's an attitude-free space, with friendly members of all ages and all levels of fitness. So no-one's going to judge you if you're only just starting out or have got a bit out of shape.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, Mo and the team are excellent. Ideal for indoor rowing and good personal training options available from friendly and knowledgeable staff. Also very kid friendly when I have had my 9 & 13 year olds with me.
