Fantastic experience: A special place. The facilities are adequate, I can’t say they are outstanding compared to similar places, and aspects need investment. But, the people that run it care. It feels like a community, not a lifeless corporate gym with uninterested employees. There is a wonderful emphasis on wellbeing and mental health. Dr Walsh in particular is a genius, and offers mindful meditation classes as well as unique therapy and counselling. The members you meet are what truly makes it a special place. Some of the conversations you have with like minded people, in an environment that naturally and effortlessly encourages relaxation and openness, can genuinely be life changing. You will find you will quickly find your ‘tribe’ and regularly see people you really connect with, without the mentally draining admin hassle of comparing calendars!

Positive experience: Really lovely gym, it’s never too busy to get a workout. Friendly staff. We are very pleased we joined A down side is people letting their kids use the age restricted areas.

Fantastic experience: We absolutely love CCC. We have been members whenever living in the area for over 20 years and I cannot praise Daryl and Amanda enough for the changes they have been making since taking over 2 years ago. CCC is going from strength to strength. It's been my sanctuary for years while working from home and doing another Uni degree. The club gave me a place to sit and get work done when working from my house was too distracting. As a family, we always have somewhere welcoming to go for a fun family day. My son loves the kids clubs and is super proud after doing his first Jiu-Jitsu grading. Then, we are always able to relax with the rest of the comunity for a bite and cuppa in the cafe restaurant, with the menu catering to allergies, which my son and I really appreciate. My extra love for the club hits deep, because after 3 operations in a short space of time, I was in a very low place and was really greatful to have the PTs on hand to help get me back to a stronger self. Dan wrote me a fitness program tailored to my physical limitations, and he pushed me beyond my comfort zone, like I had asked, dropping me from a size 18 to a 12 in about 6 months, with the additional help of ingesting the right nutrition and positive brain food. Having struggled with chronic pain from a young age, I cannot stress the importance of keeping our muscular structure strong, and CCCs PTs are always on hand to help with that. Helping their members improve their health and wellness is a club goal. CCC's vission, under the management of Alex, aligns strongly with my own. So much so, I have recently become part of the CCC team and working for the club is an absolute pleasure. What a wonderful team of people CCC have to create a pleasant work environment, along with a supportive community for their members.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend the country club, I visit the pool on a weekly basis with a disabled young man I support for a swim. The staff are very friendly and accommodating to his needs nothing is no trouble at all. It is very clean and welcoming. Lovely coffee after our swim in the cafe too! Many thanks

Positive experience: The facilities are amazing with pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, plunge pool. However I was told I didn’t need an induction as people are always on site to show me how to use the equipment. This was not the case. I was then in formed I’d have to wait for an induction. I waited 3 weeks and it was then cancelled. Unfortunately after 2 months I cancelled the membership as felt like the service was poor. However after speaking to 3 people about cancelling the membership the direct debit was taken and refused to refund. We have since spoken to the manager who’s investigating. Poor communication and to me I certainly did not get my monies worth.

Fantastic experience: Don't normally leave reviews but on this case I have to an say how outstanding the food is! Went with my family for a quick bite to eat I chose the seabass off the menu, ive paid double for the same quality of food in a fancy restaurant. Everyone one enjoyed every dish very highly recommended excellent service too.

Fantastic experience: If I could give it 10 stars I would. I love this place, ive never stepped foot in a gym in my life. I looked round a few others and compared things I wanted to do... and this place came out on top for me. All the staff are absolutely wonderful and so helpful... such a friendly place. Which is another reason I chose here. Great opening times, loving the new gym equipment . Haven't done many classes yet, but I'm sure I will... theres definitely something for everyone. Oh and we ate here last week and the food was fab... big thumbs up from me. Thanks and thanks to Bethany for showing me the ropes and putting a plan together for me.

Fantastic experience: Haven't been a member long, but so far, I'm happy. New equipment, lots of space. The pools are available for use whenever you feel like a swim. Lovely staff. Delicious coffee, though not batista made.

Fantastic experience: Can’t fault the customer service and facilities at Castle Country Club. We’ve been made to feel very welcome since joining as members and have made use of the pools, sauna/steam rooms, gym and classes. Love the range of classes available. Our son loves a stop in the cafe too for the amazing honeycomb tiffin.

The fitness classes are varied and all instructors are friendly, professional and provide excellent classes. We have been members for over 10 years. Love using the pools, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna

Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym with a huge range of facilities! The classes at Castle Country Club are fantastic. My friend introduced me to the gym and got me into a couple of classes alongside learning to play squash! I've had a few lessons at the club and also attended a ladies night they recently put on for all abilities! Brilliant staff, a great social atmosphere and a good bar!

Fantastic experience: I've been using the smaller gym for nearly a year now with help from Dan and the other instructors. The service is top class with routines that continue to push. The equipment is always clean and in working order. Hopefully soon I shall be partaking in the circuit training!

Fantastic experience: Great club with so much to do and with friendly, passionate staff in all areas. Continuous improvements to the whole site shows that this is a venue keen to keep customers and the 'experience' at the forefront of their attentions! I've been a member for over 20 years and would not consider moving. From the gym to the swimming pools and squash/tennis facilities, it's all top notch! Circuit classes are intense but incredibly rewarding and always alongside likeminded and welcoming people! Whether a family or a sole user, you'll feel immediately welcomed and relaxed here!

Fantastic experience: I have recently joined and having no previous gym experience it was extremely daunting. The staff were so welcoming,helpful and friendly and really made me feel at ease. The facilities are fantastic and the pool and thermal suite are an added bonus. Highly recommend.

Positive experience: Recently joined as a member, brilliant place, great facilities. Great to be able to do everything from swimming, gym, classes, squash, tennis all in the one place and all covered in your membership at no extra charge. Making it super convenient..4 stars as it would be nice to have a slightly larger pool but it's certainly really nice and still allows you to get a good swim in! The sauna, hot tubs etc are a lovely luxury to experience too.

Fantastic experience: Great staff. Excellent food and drink at reasonable prices. Lots of ways to keep fit. Swimming pools for all ages. Very relaxed.

Negative experience: The staff are really friendly and the opening hours are good. The fact that children can come at any time is what swayed it for us, but the place is really dated. There are dangerous parts of the kids pool such as broken tiles at the edge. Walking in the pool feels like you’re walking on sand at times, it doesn’t feel clean. The changing rooms are ok but very dated, we like to get out as soon as possible. I wouldn’t shower there. Considering cancelling our membership as we don’t feel that the place lives up to the price, it’s in need of a serious refurb. The bar is ok but there’s no dairy free milk alternative so we can’t have a tea or coffee.

Fantastic experience: Love it here, best thing i did was to join. I've not swam in 30 years because of my disability I've been to embarrassed to go but joining Rowton castle club has helped me both mentally and physically.. The staff are very friendly and supportive and the most importantly they do not judge. The facilities are excellent.

Positive experience: Good range of facilities, pleasant atmosphere, great staff, good value. BUT it desperately needs refurbishing and upgrading: swimming pool scruffy and changing room reminds me of a cash strapped council facility ( like the Quarry in fact)-old, tired, aged. No doubt the investment will be costly, but will be looking around when my membership renewal is due.
