Fantastic experience: Great gym, has all equipment needed, very cleans and spacious
Fantastic experience: Used a day pass. No fuss. Great gym and great equipment. Would use again if visiting Bury St Edmunds
Fantastic experience: This is a nicely air conditioned gym with great lighting and atmosphere. It's also kept very clean and there are more staff here during normal hours than at my home gym which is bigger. However it is often quite busy as there aren't many gyms in the area- not the fault of the gym itself, but something to be wary of. It could do with another smith machine, and more room in the free weights area, but honestly for the low price point of gym group memberships you can't ask for much more.
Positive experience: Has most of what I need. The first few months the gym had wet wipes available at multiple cleaning stations but they stopped offering that. This means nobody wipes equipment after use and it's very unsanitary.

Robust cleaning regimes are still in place and we continue to pump in 100% fresh air ventilation, day and night, we clean on a daily basis, including cleaning of all equipment and gym facilities with anti-viral products. We encourage members to bring in a sweat towel to use after they have used a piece of equipment. Having cleaning stations has resulted in a significant increase in the amount of paper waster and we are focussed on minimising our waste as part of our commitment to Net-Zero. We are proud to be the very first Carbon Neutral Gym Chain in the UK. This is just a part of our efforts, for example we are also taking steps to reduce the amount of single use plastics in our vending machines. We are always looking to improve the member experience in The Gym, so we greatly appreciate your review and will take your comments on board for future improvements.

Fantastic experience: The gym is really good, nice and tidy and clean. Daniel has been helping me with some exercises and rehabbing a family members broken shoulder with me. Really friendly guy, heaps of useful advice, basically a physio! David is also really really friendly and jumps in with tips and always says hello. The only bad thing is the gym group ltd. terrible music.

Negative experience: Please install a window or some form of air circulation. Smells absolutely awful on some days here. Edit: So in response to the pungent stale atmosphere of body odor, you are going to REDUCE the amount of cleaning materials available?? Am I interpreting this correctly? Please tell the bury branch to check their air filtration system. I did NOT seem to be working correctly at all last night.

Negative experience: Don't understand who writhe this wonderful comments. Horribly crowded. They make classes when there is no capacity for that. Rude staff, no tissues to clean equipment. I attached everyone active before, never had such a problems, but unfortunately there is no branch of EA in Bury st. Edmunds ((

Positive experience: Friendly staff, nice environment, great experience. Only thing is the occasional screaming teenager trying to deadlift or the group of children messing about on machines.

Negative experience: No longer a member, due too the constant disrespect of members constantly recoding their workouts, without any consideration of others in their videos, to be posted on social media, felt like I was ducking and diving not to be on video, not enjoyable at all. Shame as the equipment, is excellent as are the staff. This gym to me has a audience of young members who are far too involved in tik tok and instagram!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to the gym for just over a year now and once though I’d never go to such a place. I now thoroughly enjoy the gym and it’s now a massive routine in my day-to-day life. The gym group has everything I need and more, great staff (especially David) and is always kept clean. Must say that I’m now hooked to working out and I have the gym group to thank for that. Best bits for me are, how close it is from work, how cheap it is and how clean it is. If only everyone was as nice, polite and approachable as David.

Fantastic experience: The Gym Group is based right in the centre of town, so incredibly convenient, as well as being good value for money. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and although the layout is open plan, the zoning of areas makes it easy to focus on your own workout without distractions. All the staff and instructors have been really helpful and welcoming too.
