Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities and everyone’s so friendly . I have been a member of maxi-fitness since it opened and wouldn’t go anywhere else. The gym is so welcoming and the classes are brilliant for all levels of fitness.

Fantastic experience: Fabulous gym, I absolutely love coming to the classes with Maxine - the hit class on a Wednesday is great and you can go at your own pace - if you can’t do something - Maxine does an alternative exercise for your level! Maxine is so patient and absolutely knows how to help ! I love the TBT class! Maxine is just brilliant go and have a look xx

Fantastic experience: I joined maxi fitness in February and have been having weekly pts and classes with Maxine, & I already feel so much more confident in the gym and how to use the equipment. Maxine made me feel very comfortable she is very friendly and patient. Such a good atmosphere 100% recommend especially so anyone who is nervous about starting the gym!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love going to maxi fitness for my PT sessions. Maxine is amazing at what she does her passion shines through. Very professional and makes it fun at the same time. I was worried at the start about going in the gym but Maxine very quickly puts you at ease. So glad I took the step.

Fantastic experience: Maxi fitness is the best gym I have found, there is plenty to use but not too much so you feel overwhelmed. There is also a load of class to choose from. I was made to feel very welcome by Maxine and Dave and I'm so happy I found this gym!

Fantastic experience: An absolutely amazing gym you're treated like family by the owners and staff from day one nothing is too much trouble. Other members that also make you feel really welcome and involved too so you never feel nervous or like your on your own it’s a very community gym where no one is judged or left to struggle definitely the best gym around !!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I'm not the best at fitness whatsoever but when I come to maxi fitness I dont feel like uncomfortable. Everyone there is friendly and Maxine Dave and all the staff are very supportive. I really enjoy the choice of classes and there are loads of different ones and times that can suit everyone.

Negative experience: The equipment is very good.. Clean. However shortly after joining and having told the owners/managers that I would join as the opening hours suited my needs due to my work commitments the opening hours were reduced. I discovered this reduction by going to the venue expecting to be able to do a two hour work out and saw a notice that said the gyms hours had changed. I had to work through very quickly and unfortunately the changed hours no longer met my needs. I continued to pay for a further 7 months due to my having to prioritise other matters. Whilst unusually being able to get into my bank at the beginning of August I decided to cancel the direct debit. Admittedly the agreement requires a month notice which I hadn't provided but given that Maxi Fitness didn't actually keep to the opening hours I signed up for I feel that they are being unreasonable in making me pay for the last month and informing me this could be create a debt collection situation. I know for a fact that one other member (they may have left now) told me that they were not duly informed of the new winter opening hours and that they had gone on a Sunday during what they thought was within the 'normal' opening hours to find the venue locked up. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? The comments I have read are all very positive so perhaps not?

Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities and friendly staff, originally signed up just to use the gym but after being persuaded to try one of the classes have been a regular to them since-can't see that changing now I'm hooked!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym. Friendly staff always willing to help you. Great classes love the variety of classes Maxine offers and it’s cheap for the gym and classes. Couldn’t ask for a better gym and local.

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym, Maxine and Dave are really welcoming and friendly. Equipment is great and its good to see the staff cleaning the machines when their not busy. Almost always quiet so you can use the machines that you need to use.

Fantastic experience: Been going almost 5 months & have enjoyed every day. Even for someone with not much past experience the staff have always been friendly and helpful with new equipment or dietary advice.
