Abshot Country Club

Negative experience: To be honest I have no idea how this place got 5 stars. I wasn’t on any other spot than gym but can tell there’s only two benches up against a mirror and usually occupied by clowns on their phones with headphones on where they make a set every 10 minutes as they „resting in between how long they like” so I was rather to leave before slapping someone on CCTV. Otherwise some machines seems to be worn out/unserviced and not working smooth as it should. Managed to be there two weeks despite of having it for free as benefit from work. It’s not place for you if you train professionally or want to see proper results because of very basic equipment and peoples who holding up gear while being on the phone.

Fantastic experience: Went there with a mate today who is a member and the facilities looked first class. Everything is very clean and tidy. The drinks and snacks are very cheap at the bar/cafe area too. It’s in a lovely location.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly, family run club. Unlike many clubs in the area, children are allowed in the swimming pool which makes it great for family visits in the afternoons (morning swims are for lane swimming, bookable only).

Fantastic experience: A little haven and often the highlight of my day. I recently joined Abshot and I’m impressed by the friendly staff, impressive facilities and welcoming atmosphere. Some of the gym equipment is a little old but it has everything you need and unlike big chain gyms, I’ve never had to wait to use any equipment. Classes are great and everyone is very friendly. I’ve not used the pool, sauna, steam or tennis courts yet but they seem great.

Fantastic experience: Great Family run business, plenty of free classes to members and a great pool, sauna and steam room. oh and Racket ball and beers on a Friday!

Fantastic experience: Very nice place with friendly welcoming staff, excellent equipment and facilities throughout, with plenty of parking spaces, personally i can not recommend this place enough.
