Negative experience: Gym isn't to bad was looking to join but after a week I realised the gym has a huge problem with parking, many days it took me 15/20 minutes to find parking on the street and the gym advice to park away from the gym and walk not ideal unless you walk gym.

Fantastic experience: Went for a look on Saturday morning very impressed, lots of different price options. Start Monday on the long road to fitness

Fantastic experience: I have never felt so comfortable in a gym. Confidence is always something I have struggled with in this sort of environment. The team there are incredible, always available to help you and happy to show you new bits of equipment. The members are also lovely and very supportive. Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of empire for a few months now and love how friendly and welcoming it is. There are 3 floors of equipment with lots of diversity for all needs. Empire provides a kitchen with healthy meal options and a small shop with gym clothing, protein powders etc

Fantastic experience: Have been going to Empire before it was even called empire. Since Jo and team have taken over its move in such a positive way. So many different areas to train in CrossFit cardio massive weight area and no a proper kitchen area.

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to write a review to tell everyone at Empire Fitness how great they all are, they are most certainly the best gym in Hinckley and the most welcoming as well. I go to Empire every two weeks with a couple of guys from the day centre for adults with learning disabilities just next door. The guys love it and it’s one of the highlights of their week. We have personal training from the amazing Christina, she’s an excellent trainer and the guys always work really hard for her. She’s really good at planning sessions to cater to our needs and is really good at interacting with and getting the most out of our customers. The gym itself is also brilliant , I’ve never seen such a wide variety of equipment all in one place, there’s literally something for everyone! Empire is great for the casual exercise enthusiasts while also being perfect for the most hardcore fitness people. All the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and are always there to help tailor a workout to your needs and are great at giving encouragement when necessary. The gym has several different floors with loads of equipment on each one, from cardio to weights and boxing, you name it, they have it! They have also opened a little cafe so you can get food and drinks, they currently do jacket potatoes and salad boxes to order but I believe they will be expanding the menu soon, and plenty of energy drinks of course. Their new section with loads of cool equipment is also fully wheelchair accessible and also has a wheelchair accessible toilet. There are so many gyms in Hinckley, but none of them have anything on Empire, it’s by far the best, highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with friendly staff and lots of great equipment. I have been having sessions with personal trainer, Christina, for over a year now and would highly recommend both her PT sessions and her group classes. My husband is also an active member of the gym.

Fantastic experience: Best Gym around by a country mile. Trained here for over 20 years and the community is absolutely ace. You get some people with an axe to grind, but hey ho, there are some very sorry saddos everywhere.. Gym kit is not matched by any other gym as is the comradery spirit. People give you the time of the day, unless they are intent to cause a petty issue. There are tons of 20 years trainers acknowledging the place is the best it has ever been.

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym in 1993/4 (the gym records don’t got back that far!) and have been a regular ever since. My partner joined ten years ago and it’s difficult to imagine life without Empire Fitness! It was always a ‘rough’n’ready’ place - no pink lycra for sale in reception, no creche, no cafe or pressurising staff. And that’s exactly what I wanted. To a large extent, despite many changes in layout, staff, ownership and equipment, this is still at its core a gym where you go to DO WORK. Yes, you can now sauna and steam thanks to the relatively recent addition of these, and sunbeds have always been on offer, but Empire Fitness is the gym to choose if you want to lift heavy things and focus on your fitness. Whatever you want from it - an increase in cardiovascular health, swole arms, better back strength or overall stamina - the gym will provide it, IF you seek out the readily-available input of the staff and, as with any gym, Put The Work In. A recent change in ownership saw a period of transition with a handful of teething problems, which is to be expected from the most major change in the gym’s history, but these are gradually being addressed as opportunities to improve. A welcoming, non-salesy, no-pressure gym with a quiet, businesslike atmosphere of rep after rep, mile after mile, this is the place I go for my mental, physical and overall health and wellbeing. (And a nice, free cup of unlimited coffee at 7am in the mornings - with toast if I want it!) :)

Negative experience: We joined this gym about 18 months ago and in that time it changed hands about a year ago. Since then the new owner Joe has allowed standards to decline. The gym is always untidy, machines and equipment never serviced or maintained. Gym staff never on hand to assist customers in the gym area and only seem to stay within the comfort of the reception area. We have repeatedly advised Joe when equipment has failed or in need of repair and also discussed options where improvements could be made to the gym area in order to improve the safety for customers but alas as usual Joe takes no notice and only seems interested in revenue and not the welfare of his customers or indeed the the safe working conditions within the gym area. Joe is never available at peak times in the gym and only makes brief visits during the weekday mornings and so clearly has no interest in the gym. Come on Joe. Get a grip of this gym for your customers benefit. Well typically following me posting this review. I got hauled into the office by Joe like a naughty school boy. It seems that he doesn’t appreciate honest constructive criticism. Whilst the response posted to my review would seem very courteous and generous what it doesn’t say is that he has now banned me and my wife from using Empire Gym as a result of my honest appraisal of the facility. I will leave you all to make of that as you will. Just be aware if you dare to bring issues of cleanliness or lack of or the shambolic state of the gym areas or indeed the total lack of any sort of professional knowledge or expertise, guidance and or instruction then you risk the same fate as us. My advice is. Find yourself another gym. There are plenty of them in Hinckley and far cheaper and no doubt safer.

Fantastic experience: Best REAL gym I've been to anywhere. Not one of these mass CV gyms where where you've got a teenager on minimum wage reading out a text book. Insta-gyms with gangs of kids on phones hogging one machine. This is a Community gym that knows what it's doing and actually want to help it's members. 5*
