Fantastic experience: Jacey and Lauren run SKF with love and passion, bringing a family feel to the club which I've never seen matched elsewhere, it really is a second family which I am proud to be a part of. I started training with Jacey and Tony when I was around 9 years old, and I'm so thankful to my parents for bringing me there, as it's now an integral part of my life. I am now an instructor at the Dojo and I love encouraging the love of martial arts to our students. We train in traditional Wado Ryu Karate as well as sport Kickboxing, with sessions every day of the week.

Fantastic experience: My son has attended the SKF dojo school for over 8 years now. He loves it and I couldn’t be happier for his achievements in karate. The school has inclusive atmosphere and JC gives him support and encouragement, like no other. Absolutely definitely recommend it to anyone seeking karate school in the area.

Fantastic experience: 5 * my kids have been welcome from day one and have now been going for more than 5 years, they are not just a family business but are like a family to all that attend. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the care, compassion and pride they take is obvious in my children's achievements. Could not recommend highly enough all involved are fantastic

He has also made some new friends along the way! The instructors are brilliant with the kids, and their training helps with discipline and other positive attributes. The family classes are also a fun way to introduce you kids to the training as you can train alongside. We Would definitely recommend SKF dojo!

Fantastic experience: I joined SKF karate in lockdown June 2020 with my son. It started as a way to keep fit and fill my time but soon became much more. I wasn’t going to grade to get my coloured belts but I found it so rewarding I was soon hooked. Jacey who is the chief instructor is so motivating along with his great team of instructors. It’s a family run business, his wife Lauren teaches yoga and 3 girls are all involved too. I look forward to every lesson and with prerecorded classes you can do in your own time if you like. Nothing is to much trouble, it’s like an extended family as all members are so helpful. Thank you. I would definitely recommend this club to anyone, amazing. I am still going strong 3 years later and now a brown belt. I am also competing in Kata competitions occasionally.

Fantastic experience: Started training at 5 years old and I can’t express how much I’ve learnt from JC, karate and the sport as a whole. The values associated with the club has provided me with the right mindset and values to continually push myself in all aspects of life. I only have fond memories and cannot wait to return one day. If you are reading this and are considering joining (for fitness, competitions or the general training aspect) I strongly strongly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: Tyler loves it here. We've really seen a change in his attitude and behaviour. Jc is brilliant and such a down to earth guy, and brilliant with the kids. Highly recommend this dojo to all.

Positive experience: I especially enjoyed the energy and atmosphere in each of the lessons. Also from learning martial arts with SKF I have become a more confident person and it taught me the importance of discipline and respect. My experience with SKF has shaped me into the person I am today and am thankful to have the opportunity to do martial arts with them. However the fees are expensive and I think the business needs to review this going foward to ensure people from lower income groups aren't put off from joining the dojo.
