Fantastic experience: I'm approaching my third year as a Third Space member and have only positive things to say about my experience with this health club. The staff are always helpful, cheerful and kind, the facilities are kept to a very high standard and always incredibly clean and the instructors and PTs are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and supportive. Yes, the price point for the membership is quite high (I personally have a multi gym membership) but as I use several of the gyms 4+ times a week, along with the very high standards across the board, this is money well spent for me

Negative experience: I arrived 5 mins before class starts, there were 0 lockers available in female changing room, when I finally found one and changed, I found out the locker is faulty and won’t lock. Ended up being 2 minutes late for the class and they haven’t let me in because it was ‘already full’ (even though I have beeb booked for this class. I woke up at 6:30am for this class specifically so you can imagine my frustration. When I expressed my frustration, ladies at reception said ‘we’re sorry, lockers can be busy at peak times’ - then probably you shouldn’t position yourself as a ‘luxury gym’ if I need to worry about not being accepted for a class because of no available or faulty lockers during peak times

Fantastic experience: I used to be a member at Third Space and am considering starting a gym membership again soon. My options were between Equinox, Virgin Active, and Third Space, so I visited all the clubs today, and I had a really good experience. The staff were so lovely and welcoming, particularly a staff member named Ayesha. She was extremely helpful and answered all my questions thoroughly. I left feeling well informed and look forward to restarting my membership at Third Space.

Fantastic experience: I’m interested in getting a membership with Third Space and wanted to know more about the facilities that come with the package. Luckily for me, I was assisted by Ayesha Begum, who was really lovely and helpful. She explained everything to me in depth, and showed me around. Positive experience: Ok so the classes and gym equipment are fantastic and my experience with a PT top marks. Love love love the pools at all the locations. I’m leaving this review because of my experience raising a problem with an operations manager (at a different Thirdspace location), and hope to have my voice heard. Thirdspace generously provide hairspray, deodorant etc in the women’s changing rooms but not period care products. I raised my concern and was given multiple excuses such as “people will take them which will cost us too much money” and “some women don’t need them”. They put up signs which is half a step forward. I think Thirdspace might want to consider both the message it sends to freely provide hair care but not period care, and that they could be falling behind the times as it’s quite usual for businesses to think period care as important as loo roll these days!

Negative experience: After being a member for exactly a year I informed Third Space of my intention to leave in Jan 24 ( as I was moving house ) I was advised not to cancel. But to freeze my account because they had a new gym opening in my new area the following month and I would save on membership. Each month I would ask when it would open but I never got the same answer twice. Eventually I joined another job. Months later I was contacted to say I owed them one months. ( because I had frozen my membership ) when I informed them ( the person I dealt with had left ) I was told it was being passed to a credit agency ) They then contacted me and made all kinds of threats. I spoke to a friend and a similar situation had happened. Avoid.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member for many years now and think Third Space Soho offers some of the best facilities and classes in London. Their coaching team and instructors are excellent, as are their concierge staff. Jordan in particular is a ray of sunshine who always goes out of his way to be helpful and put a smile on my face as I enter/leave the club.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, great classes and great PTs. The classes here are extremely high quality as is the gym equipment. I've also been working with one of the PTs in Soho, Eden, who has been instrumental in her guidance and advice in my training, and has managed to make working out really fun. Happy I switched to this gym group!

Fantastic experience: Been going to third space for years now. My partner got me onto it and I’ve referred more than 3 people who absolutely love it too. It’s always clean and organised making your workout feel like a spa. To top it off, just had a lovely experience with Renata at front desk who was very helpful.

Negative experience: I'm editing and nudging this review upwards after speaking with Daren the manager at Soho. The gym is great and I enjoyed being a member for over 2 years. Despite the hefty membership cost at peak times in the mornings and evenings it is often so busy you can't get anywhere near the equipment you need. I stand by my warning of the unfair financial practices of the back office team. I had huge problems cancelling a direct debit for PT sessions which resulted in me cancelling my membership.

Fantastic experience: By some margin the best gyms in London. At previous gyms I’d visit a couple of times a week at best but I use Third Space almost every day. The facilities are immaculate and the staff are plentiful are friendly.

Fantastic experience: Attended as a guest, liked what i saw, great range of equipment but what stood out the most was the customer service from Renata, made me feel welcomed, was attentive, answering my questions, made sure i knew how to open the locker. Her friendly attitude truly enhanced my experience, would go again

Fantastic experience: Clean (and kept constantly clean). A nice pool with a sauna and steam room . Good selection of machines and good variety of classes with instructors who take the time to make sure any activity is done correctly . reccomended!

Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms I’ve been to in London. The facilities are always clean, the changing room has an abundance of supplies and the classes are welcoming, all levels/consistent! Renata and Cathy are super welcoming, kind and dedicated. Negative experience: Really disappointed with the way the service and membership bylaws of this club have changed and been miss managed over the last two-three years. No longer get free membership pauses and customer service is shocking. Takes 3 plus days for them to respond , they never pick up the phone to explain there very complicated prorata billing system which almost always leaves you more out of pocket then you thought and worst of all there is no recourse. Super disappointed, I am now getting billed for months I am not going to even be in the country and they in-paused my account without my permission charging me for the privilege.

Negative experience: I’ve had a subscription with Third Space twice, but I’ve finally decided never to return. Every morning on weekdays it was quite crowded, and I often had to queue for a shower. The gym itself was busy as well, and at certain times, there was no space available for workouts (open area on the second floor). Their cancellation and freeze policies are terrible, and the support team is often unhelpful. Freezing your membership is inconvenient — you need to plan it far in advance, pay extra, and you can’t do it for a reasonable period (7-14 days). This is quite inconvenient if you go on holidays occasionally, as most of us do. The cancellation process is even worse—it’s unnecessarily rigid compared to other clubs. For example, if you cancel your subscription on January 2nd, you still have to pay for February, even if you don’t use the club. I requested a bit more flexibility on this issue but was strictly denied. To justify a fee of £250.00 per month, a club supposed offer a more personalized approach (which is something Third Space lacks). When I joined, I was overcharged due to staff negligence, specifically by Severine. Although they eventually acknowledged the mistake and adjusted it the following month, the overall experience was quite frustrating. Additionally, on multiple occasions when I forgot items in the ladies' changing room (mainly cosmetics), I was told at reception that they were never found. The only positive aspect was Jordan, who was always helpful and welcoming. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend Third Space after giving them a second chance. I’d suggest considering Dilly or Hotel Café Royal nearby, which offer better value and more flexibility.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Third Space Soho gym in London for a year. The environment is fantastic, clean and tidy, with a full range of equipment and excellent service. My personal trainer, Andreea Armean, is a very friendly, nice and professional trainer. She will scientifically and reasonably arrange my training program. The entire training process is also pleasant. She has made a very reasonable training plan for me based on my personal situation and regularly tracks my training results, which allows me to intuitively feel my changes and growth. The harmonious and positive atmosphere in this environment has encouraged me to make exercise a habit and a lifestyle. The surrounding facilities are also very complete, and I can supplement healthy drinks and food before and after exercise. The location is also convenient, making it the best choice for exercise in London.

Positive experience: The gym itself is good in my vast experience. Great instructors and clean, love the ozone pool. The odd problem with cold showers and lockers not working. It's crowded at peak times but this doesn't seem worse than anywhere else and I'm in it for the convenience to my office. But the app is the worst. Until the app is fixed, this can't be considered a premium experience. The app to book and cancel classes has not worked reliably for more than 6 months - with no recompense to paying clients. From budget to luxury, I've never seen a gym app with so many problems.

Negative experience: All of the good instructors have been poached. However my main gripe is the £34 increase PER MONTH. This is the biggest price hike in one go. And this usually occurs in January, why did this happen in September? The group membership is now £280 - what justifies this when you can't even access all of the branches - some even until February next year? You're not improving the gyms in any way except charging more to expand. From £220, to £245 and now £279 a month is becoming absurd. Especially considering how in need of a refurb Soho is, where exactly is the money going?

Fantastic experience: Great gym friendly staff and prepared team. Visited a couple of time despite Battersea being my home club, my advice would be to have more boxing classes during the weekend and expand a bit that area, as well as providing boxing pads in case people want to train on their own. Other than that, maybe lockers a bit small and outdated especially compared to newer third space. But would definitely recommend and happy to be a member of this gym

Negative experience: The gym is always super crowded and we have to wait long to use the equipments. The glute machine (there is only one) is very old, no maintenance and in terrible state. It is not safe if an emergency arises, as the gym is super packed. If you complain, they will answer that there’s a waiting list to join and there’s nothing they can do to improve.

Fantastic experience: Third Space Soho is by far the best gym I have ever been a part of. From the high level facilities to the attention to detail, everything has been covered. Fantastic experience: We were very fortunate to be guested a day at the fabulous Third Space Soho yesterday. What an experience! The staff were so helpful, enthusiastic, accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Massive shout out to the wonderful team of staff at the desk, Darren the Spin & Lift Instructor and the fabulous Yin Yoga Instructor for taking us in their classes. Sadly we do not live in London but I am very envious of those of you lucky enough to be members of this brilliant gym!

Fantastic experience: There is no better gym in London. Nothing is ever perfect but these guys are aiming high. I regularly attend three locations all of which are consistent in services they provide, as well as attitude. To be frank price wise for me personally this membership is on a luxury side. However, the money is worth it. Also, they are accommodating. I am a dancer and in free slots teams ensure I can use studios to practise. Also, it is clean and tidy.

Negative experience: Soho gym is getting worse on daily basis - hairdryers broken and takes ages to be replaced, an iron has been missing for 3 days, the gym is awfully busy - queuing to get in to a shower is a daily post workout activity. Definitely not worth £250 membership fees with a service that an average gym provides.

Fantastic experience: Definitely one of the best gym chains around if you’re looking for a bit of everything, especially for classes and pool! Biggest perk of being a member are the staff, who are always friendly and helpful. We were helped with getting our memberships by Renata, she went above and beyond to make sure we understood our membership, perks, and which classes would be best for us! The gym is always clean and tidy, plenty of towels and shower products, and they have small water cups also! A few machines are outdated, but the vast majority are good quality (invest in more glute activating ones please :> ) Biggest flaws are the mobile app, with having to call cs to freeze or cancel your membership, and finding lockers at peak times

Fantastic experience: Third Space is truly one of the best fitness clubs in London. The team is very friendly and always ready to hold and the coaches have lots of experience and always can offer personalized suggestions to improve the technique. The club is very clean and not too crowded even at peak time. I switched to a third space from another fitness chain and am very happy with my choice.

Positive experience: Any membership or service based business relies on 3 things… Customer experience, value for money and convenience. Based on this do I think Third Space is worth its £245 group monthly price tag? I’m afraid and somewhat sad to say that after 22 years as a member, currently it is not. If it wasn’t for my loyalty discount (I pay my fees yearly up front and get free weeks) I would have moved on a few years ago. *I will be referring specifically to Soho and City branches in this review. Let’s start with the positives… Both clubs are incredibly clean and well maintained, the locker room attendants do a fantastic job. The Soho team is particularly brilliant. Equipment is always working and on the rare occasion something isn’t it’s fixed swiftly. The operations team in Soho and City are (generally) great - Jordan G, Emerson, Vinnie, Luke, Steph and Claire all stand out, there are others, I’m afraid I don’t know their names. The fitness team in Soho are (again I’m generalising) friendly and professional - Michael, Joe, Cathy, Liv, G and Adam are an asset to the club. Which brings me to a couple of points… Soho is extremely BUSY. In all the years I’ve been a member it’s never been like it is currently. There can be moments when no equipment is free - bearing in mind I train outside of peak times mostly. I’ve heard the memberships have been capped but coupled with all the PT’s on the floors, up to 7 in a tiny area, (there have been situations where not 1 cable is free many times recently) it’s often impossible to even find a space to workout. This has also been the case in City the last few times I’ve visited. I’m aware PT’s have to train themselves at certain times, off peak but this also adds to the overcrowding. Lots of members seem unhappy about this and some of the other reviews mention it in other clubs. It all seems like a cash grab. The general atmosphere in Soho has been particularly “Clichy” over the last few years and at times unfriendly, with some members (and occasionally PT’s) having no regard for others. Yes, I know it’s impossible to “police” and it happens but it didn’t used to be how it is now. Recently there was a very unpleasant situation in the club, some members and (as far as I know) a guest there to take part in a class were behaving in an inappropriate way, having a conversation that shouldn’t have been had in public. The team on the front desk were brilliant but when I met with the operations manager (who isn’t there any more) they pretty much dismissed it, he wasn’t even paying attention and it wasn’t followed up at all. Appalling customer service. Not what you’d expect from a business that pitches itself as being diverse, inclusive and “luxury”..? That’s why I’ve been visiting City for the last few months, which is a compact, well appointed subterranean space, that is alas also crammed with PT’s. Such a shame to say the Soho club just isn’t what it was despite some fantastic team members and what is ultimately a great space, in a central location.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, great trainers and classes. It offers everything you need and more (from towels, shampoo, female toiletries to massage guns, recovery massage bodysuits, etc). It all comes at a price but worth it!

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Third Space for a month now - I have attended about ten classes and used most of the facilities. I can not fault it. There is every piece of equipment you would ever need and plenty of towels. Sometimes it can be daunting attending a class for the first time but the instructors never make you feel ‘new’ and are so incredibly helpful. They are very encouraging and I have even received help with what to eat / drink before and after classes. I would like to make a special mention to Holly for her encouragement, help and great classes. To Claire for her perfect introduction on my tour and when signing me up and always making the time to talk to me when she walks around the club. And to Sophie- Jean Harper for making me feel wonderful after her classes, her great motivation and enthusiasm! Thank you Third Space!!

Negative experience: Think twice before joining Third Space. It is an increasingly overcrowded, overpriced offering that aims to get more people in and cut corners as much as possible. The app hasn't been working for days, classes are overbooked and in multiple instances you don't get in even if you arrive on time, steam room works sporadically. Joining a year ago I was excited to be part of it but after multiple disappointments will be giving it up. Not the premium experience you expect when paying a hefty fee per month.

Negative experience: Went to the Soho branch upon friends' recommendations. My experience had a tinge of disappointment, underscoring the gap between expectation and reality. The allure that seems to captivate others eludes me, as the facility's offerings struggle to justify its membership cost. The gym's equipment, bears the visible scars of time and use, from kettlebells devoid of paint to old rowing machines, reflects a need for refreshment and modernization across the floor. The abundance of squat racks did little to offset the scarcity of benches, a situation possibly exacerbated by the mass attendance, yet indicative of a broader issue in equipment allocation. Further diminishing the appeal was the sauna—astonishingly compact for a gym of its size. The expectation of a spacious, relaxing environment was quickly dispelled by the reality of a cramped space, barely accommodating two. Yet, there were three of us at one point... The pool, though pleasant, has dimensions that fell short of anticipated grandeur. In summary, the Soho branch, despite its potential, fails to deliver a compelling value for its membership fee, especially when compared to alternatives like Soho House, which offer a wider array of benefits for a similar investment in addition to the gym...

Fantastic experience: As someone who has always struggled to create a gym habit, Third Space has been a total game changer. The facilities are so nice and the staff so welcoming that I can't wait to wake up and go to the gym in the morning! The class instructors are all top notch as well. It's expensive but worth it for me since this is the first time I've been 'fit' in a long time.

Negative experience: Been a member for almost a year and the experience continues to go downhill. The gym has a serious overcrowding issue on weekdays, difficult to book classes without alarms set for them. The only saving grace is the lovely staff and instructors when you’re able to do a class

Negative experience: I have been a member of Third Space for c.10 years. It is a great concept, offering a wide range of class types, in a high quality gym space, with quality trainers and support staff. Unfortunately however, the Soho facility is now just too crowded. Cheek to cheek in the changing rooms, which are now hard to keep clean with so many members. Ques for the showers and long wait lists for classes within minutes of them opening for booking. High prices, were once justified by a premium experience but unfortunately this is no longer feels the case.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic facilities, huge range of classes and well versed teachers who know exactly what they’re doing and are always going the extra mile to help you with form etc. changing rooms are 10/10 you’ve got everything you could need for before and after the gym, and the cafe has amazing shakes and food. Positive experience: I love this place but it is way too crowded the past couple weeks. Even with three people per lane I have still had to wait to use the pool. Also for the price of membership, there being mold along the top of some of the showers is crazy. Maybe extend the hours til 11 on weeknights and 10 on weekends? Might help with the crowding. Otherwise it’s a great gym.

Fantastic experience: Probably the only one of the Third Spaces to maintain its brand and the feeling of a premium gym. Great staff and a nice clientele elevate this beyond the other branches. I've been a member for over 5 years and I like it more and more as the years go by.

Negative experience: Overcrowded, overpriced… Been a member for many years, and I’m genuinely sad to say this gym is now overcrowded and overpriced. Coming at peak times means you can barely find a locker, let alone use the equipment. Classes take up shared spaces, so you can’t even rely on getting a treadmill as a last resort. If you’re serious about exercise, you have to come before 7am or after 8pm, during which time you’ll surely spend a significant portion of your workout dodging vacuum cleaner fumes (why can’t they vacuum after hours!?!). Feels like having opened so many other clubs outside central has resulted in Soho/Canary Wharf being overwhelmed before and after work. Surely there is a fix that won’t hurt the private equity owner’s bottom line. Can someone from Third Space management actually commit to working out here at peak times for a month and tell me they think it lives up to the Third Space brand? For £3000/year, it just has to be better than this, and I’m not the only one starting to feel this way.

Negative experience: You would think that when you pay £200+ a month people there won’t steal, but clearly cost of living crisis is upon us! Earrings were stolen and previously when I left my earphones behind staff refused to check for them until I told them to just do me a favour and go check the safe. Really like the facilities but do not like the people at the reception.

Fantastic experience: Thought I’d make this as objective as possible - to summarise, I love the place Gym: A super well designed space with everything you’d want & even when it is busy, you have space & can access what you want in a timely manner. A gorgeous environment - two levels for free weights, big cardio area, stretch studio and then yoga and workout studio - all beautiful. Standards / cleanliness: Superb. Really excellent. Very impressed by this Manager: (Daren) Bent over backwards to make me feel welcome & has an infectious energy that is clearly one of the core drivers of why the place is so special & has this community feel (whilst still being a place where you can totally have your own space). goes above & beyond which makes you feel special. Third space are lucky to have Daren as he is very special. Sales manager: Mahad showed me around & is one of the reasons I joined. I hate sales being pushed on me. He was kind, genuine & went above & beyond also - he continues to when he sees me. Great guy. Front of house: Have been nice & welcoming! A couple of peeps in particular have been especially warm & welcoming. Pts : Haven’t spoken to many, generally seem friendly & some are very friendly & have gone out their way to be welcoming like Emily! There’s also natural fitness food (love) there & a space to have a coffee and a shake which is lovely. Overall superb. Like great value for money. Have only done a couple classes so far but they seem good. I’m there for the gym but will do yoga too.

Fantastic experience: I have been a client of this gym for over a year now and it’s been absolutely wonderful. It’s perfectly located, the staff is always welcoming, friendly and ready to help. The gym has great equipment that is constantly updated and maintained. The changing rooms and gym floor are always tidy and well stocked with towels and other necessities. They have great facilities too including a sauna, steam room and pool - also clean and always working. Huge range of complimentary classes, all of which are well structured and have caring instructors. My personal favourite is hot yoga, I highly recommend it especially after a long day at work. This gym has everything for anyone’s taste, and working out here always feels pleasant and comfortable. Lastly, they have THE BEST protein shakes I’ve ever tried.
