Core The Gym

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of this gym for a few years now. Joined as I'm epileptic and I wanted help to become stronger, more resilient and reduce drug intake/seizure rate. I cannot express how I "fit" here. I've had several seizures in the gym and all of the staff have gone above and beyond to help me. It's not just physical but also mental in the fact that I feel safe, secure and I trust them. Staff and members alike have been great with me and not once have I felt out of place, embarrassed or unhappy.

Fantastic experience: Over the years I’ve been a member of many gyms, both in Kent and London. I’ve been a member here for 6 months now and it is genuinely the friendliest, best equipped and most helpful gym I’ve ever been part of. The team are there to support you as much as you need, everyone is exceptionally knowledgeable, nothing is too much trouble and it’s a pleasure to train here. Gym safety and equipment is second to none. I feel lucky to have found The Core and I won’t be going anywhere else. I’ve found my home.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym! I recently retired (so i am not young anymore), and was nervous about joining, but everyone at the gym has been super friendly and helpful. I was helped initially with setting up a program, and since starting I've received help when needed and been left alone when that was what I wanted. There is a wide range of equipment and the music is not too loud! If you are wondering about joining but are unsure and nervous, I highly recommend you give this gym a try. You won't regret it.

The team are one of the nicest gym teams I’ve met in my experience, all super genuine with great sense of humour. Jay, the owner, is a really nice guy, funny and personable. Couldn’t recommend this gym enough! Especially now they’ve just spent over £100k on even more kit to improve it even further!

Fantastic experience: having only been in this gym for 5-6 months i can 100% say i feel right at home. i had been PETRIFIED to even step foot into a gym, but after being recommended by a friend, i’ve never looked back. this is THE BEST gym in maidstone. no lie. i also want to mention Joe, one of the employees, what a legend, he is the nicest and most friendly person i have ever met. thank you Joe!

Fantastic experience: Core The Gym is definitely the best gym on this planet. Staffs are super nice and friendly, my partner and I often go to them for techniques / random things, they always spend times talking to us no matter how ridiculous we might sound. Gym itself is super clean and has all the equipment I needed. Did I mentioned they recently put up more mirrors so it’s even easier to find a spot watching yourself working out? From a gym newbie three years ago to a daily regular now, I can say Jay definitely put a lot of ideas and thoughts in keeping this Gym best of the best, and that’s become my comfort place now. To someone out there thinking Gym is a scary place, I can guarantee you that’s not the case here, everyone, I mean literally anyone even the stranger next to you is super nice, that’s from my personal experience. I really want to keep it my secret as it gets busier, but at the same time, I want everyone to experience how awesome this gym is‍♀️

Fantastic experience: Been training at several gyms around kent for the last 14 years now and never have I experienced a gym atmosphere like the one at CORE. The staff all knew everyone's name. There was no egos or funny looks when you entered. The Gym was clean and tidy with a huge range of equipment to meet the different needs of any training programme. Hammer strength weight plate loading machines for ever body part. Lots of space for individualised training sets. A fully stocked drinks and protein section. On the whole it was a fantastic workout and a lovely gym to attend. I am really looking forward to. Me next trip back where I will even treat myself to the sunbed that is located at the gym. Well done to the CORE Team you have all really hit the nail on the head of what a gum should be - a friendly, helpful environment which is welcome to all people where ever you are on the fitness journey.

Fantastic experience: Went to Core the gym earlier on this morning to sign up, staff could not have been friendlier. Jay was super helpful giving me a tour of the place and asking about any previous experience. Once I said that I was a bit unsure of what to focus about he booked me an hour session with Ethan, who did an amazing job of both showing me what to do and making me feel confident and comfortable in the gym. He even emailed me a workout plan that I can follow from now on. Great service, super friendly and I couldn't recommend more. Super glad that Core was the gym I signed up for.

Fantastic experience: Wow first day a member love it here. Just had my first session with Jon Moores who is a great Trainer one hell of a cool dude. Will update review in the future. But this Gym is a hidden jewel in the heart of Maidstone...... Well in a week's time I will have been going to Cores Gym for 3 months. I just am really impressed by the way the Gym is run which is very professional and polite. The staff from entering till you leave are friendly. I simply love using this Gym and intend to keep using it to...... It's now late March 2024 and I have been at Core The Gym for 10 months. My update is that the gym is awesome. I can't wait to go back on the next training day. It's so laid back and everybody is working towards their personal goals. I would recommend this gym as 10 out of 10 by a long chalk. Fantastic experience: I've been a member of Core for over 5 years. The gym is always very clean, and staff are always friendly and helpful. They really think about what the members like when making the equipment choice. I've also had the pleasure of training with Diwi. He's training style is intentional and informative which I love. Definitely see changes in my body and mindset.

Fantastic experience: I've only joined a couple of gyms before, however this is a great place to train. I'd love to see sets of kettlebells to use at different weights as there's only singles. Otherwise I find the facilities well kept, and a great range of equipment. The thing that keeps me coming is the Olympic lifting. I tried the beginners classes and it's great! A nice mix of fun and challenge, and a chance to interact with some lovely people. The staff are immensely friendly and helpful. Providing training plans when you ask, and guidance on the equipment and exercises recommended for the plan. Keep up the great work

Fantastic experience: Pete is always extremely helpful in and around the gym, but doesn’t know the difference between the colour blue and turquoise.

Fantastic experience: Recently visited core gym, equipment availability was great! Staff were very knowledgeable, in particular a young lady who was able to answer all questions and provided me with all the pro’s and con’s of PT sessions which I was particularly interested in.

Positive experience: It's a good gym just massively depends on what time you go there I'm assuming during the day it's probably quite empty, I go after work and there's a lot of teenagers not doing a lot which gets annoying when they are taking up equipment for no reason apart from that it's a good gym, equipments well kept, nice free weight and dead lift areas

Positive experience: It's an alright gym but I wouldn't necessarily call it the best gym in Maidstone, considering they close at 10pm weekdays and earlier weekends. They have enough equipments but do not have kettlebells sets - there's one weight of each but barely a set

Fantastic experience: I have just joined Core after a long time of building up the confidence to step foot in a gym again. I struggle with severe anxiety but the small size and friendly posts I have seen on social media since they opened drew me to want to join. Today I went for my first session and had a one to one with Ollie who showed me a variety of exercises and machines I could use to help me get to my goals whilst taking into consideration the difficulties I have due to scoliosis. Lily also showed me some great core exercises chatted with me for a while. Both her and Olly put me at ease and I am so grateful to them. Everything I have met so far have been so welcoming and helped ease my anxiety. Without that, I probably would have stuck to the trusty treadmill for half an hour and left. Anxiety is so crippling sometimes and a gym can be an intimidating place but these guys are so welcoming! Thank you all so much and see you soon!

Fantastic experience: I love this place, i need to go way more! When i first joined, i hated the idea of the gym, any gym, i was too shy and self conscious, but needs must! A friend recommended Core to me and i am so glad they did. The team are so lovely and welcoming which put me at ease immediately and the other members are a friendly lot which creates a great atmosphere. There's lots of equipment, you rarely need to wait for anything (at peak time it may be busier, but i've never felt pressured to rush a set!) Highly recommend and am always trying to get there more!

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym which has everything you will ever need from a gym. Lots of space to workout without worrying about others. Extremely clean and tidy, great atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: I'd messaged pretty much every local gym to me prior to joining here, trying to find a friendly gym that I didn't feel judged at and felt comfortable. I eventually found Core and I havent looked back! Don't let the stairs down to the basement put you off (there is also a lift), it's a super friendly place, people working there are more than happy to help with anything you need. Even in peak times I've never struggled to get my workouts done and always managed to get on the machines and weights I want to. Free 2 hours parking is also a big positive especially with it being in town. I wouldnt go anywhere else!

Positive experience: Don't be put off by the trip down to a basement. It's great when you get in. So friendly, with experienced staff. Great selection of equipment. It is just a gym facility though. If there was a seating area, perhaps with even a coffee machine, it would have got a 5 star from me.

Positive experience: Don't get me wrong the gym was a great place, I never felt judged or felt like I didn't belong there and people are very welcoming, I don't like to moan but I will say that they kept taking money out my account even though they told me they had canceled my subscription. And I've heard this isn't the first time it has happened. As I said I don't like to moan but yano got to be careful.

Fantastic experience: A welcoming, well-equipped gym which has a great atmosphere and all the equipment you need to cover all manner of workouts. Plenty of squat racks, free weights, decent functional training and weightlifting areas, as well as all the machines you could need. Friendly staff who are always happy to help and there always seems to be a good vibe amongst the gym-goers, with everyone being respectful to each other. Couldn't really ask for much more in a gym.

Fantastic experience: Been training here since 2016 both myself and with my clients. A fantastic mix of equipment and the staff are always friendly and on hand to help. A real family feel and none of the "gym ego" you get at a lot of clubs, and at a great price too. If I could give 10 stars I definitely would.
