Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym, lots of kit. Amazing experience

Negative experience: Can the staff lower the temperature? We know summer is over but people is training here and we don’t really need the room to be 25 degrees in November,

Negative experience: New layout is really bad for free weights area, Massive space at front of gym used for nothing while the free weights area has had multiple things added to it so that it is so cramped it’s dangerous when slightly busy. WiFi is poor, gym often smells bad.

Positive experience: The price for the gym is unbeatable in the area however the layout is not optimal and could be improved as the weights area is very small and often need to wait for equipment.

Positive experience: Basic price, basic gym. Equipment could be cleaner

Negative experience: It's not making any sense any more. Free weights section has been closed after 10pm for the last few months. In the first week, there was a little sign that says that. But no explanation, no mentioning of how long it would be. A week later, that sign was gone. But it remains that way. Absolutely no communication. They just thought they would get away with it. Simply dishonest. To make things worse, they reconfigured the whole floor. They put A LOT MORE machines into that free weight section instead of fewer. Now that area is absolutely cramped. So, either you use that area in peak hours while everyone is lifting shoulder to shoulder, or you don't use it at all. At the same time other areas are simply empty! No, they are not bringing in more machines. By the way, that app they have, for the last few weeks I connected to their WiFi, and it complains I don't look like I was in the area, and refuse to check in using QR code

Fantastic experience: The facilities are clean and functional. There is plenty of space to work out, and do a mix of machines, mat and weights. Excellent staff; knowledgable and pleasant. I have been working with a Personal trainer( Ade Boyega) which enhances the experience immeasurably. Ade is knowledgable, professional and able to tailor a programme to your exact needs. Love this Gym.

Negative experience: If it’s 24/7 so why free weights section in not open at night as we only got time only at night

Negative experience: Wasteful and careless. One of the toilets has a leaky tap. It has been four weeks since I reported it to the coaches over there, and the tap is still leaking. Every time, I was told a plumber was coming, but the reality is that nobody cares. The tap leaks at least a few litres a minute, do the math and work out the waste since 8 (EIGHT) weeks. During the time of the video I took, I've noticed the leak for four consecutive weeks. Now that it's August 24, it's been like this for more than 8 weeks. With an average of 2 liters of water wasted per minute, we have 173 m3 of water wasted, which is 38,000 gallons of water. Shame on you!

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of Gym Group Greenwich for a while now, and I can confidently say it's one of the best gyms in the area. The facility is always clean, well-maintained, and equipped with a wide range of machines and free weights. One of the standout aspects of this gym is the staff, particularly a personal trainer named John. I was struggling with my deadlift form, and John took the time to work with me, offering clear guidance and corrections. His expertise and friendly approach not only improved my technique but also boosted my confidence in lifting heavier weights safely. Fantastic experience: Joining The Gym Greenwich is the best decision I've ever made! There's such a variety of classes and decent equipment. Team always smiles and greets you, the instructors are highly trained, have great energy and will correct your movements during classes. Would highly recommend Ade Boyega as the PT, he is knowledgeable and really care about clients and offering sessions based on your needs. I highly recommend this gym for your workout needs.

Fantastic experience: The good thing about this gym are the classes, because the PT are really good at their job in every aspect wether its about your health, excerse, diet you can get a honest opinion. One of the best PT in this gym is Ade Boyega if your looking to take your fitness to the next level try him and you won't regret. His well trained, friendly with a good sense of humour. He knows when to joke and also when to be serious.

Positive experience: "The gym boasts excellent equipment and a great atmosphere, but there's a significant need for improvement in cleanliness. The men's locker room has a persistent foul odor, and the urinals are particularly overwhelming, making it difficult to breathe. Installing a running water system through the urinals could help mitigate this issue. Additionally, the soap dispensers at the sinks are frequently empty, which makes proper handwashing challenging. It's also concerning that there are no products available to clean the equipment after use. The absence of hand sanitizer stations around the gym is another point that needs addressing. Despite these issues, I believe the gym has great potential."

Fantastic experience: I started training at The Gym Group London Greenwich about 10 months ago and thankfully found my personal trainer Ade not long after, completely transforming my fitness journey. The gym is extremely well equipped and spacious, and the staff are always friendly. But the real star is Ade - no doubt the best PT I've ever had, super in tune with my capabilities but also constantly pushing me in the best possible way.

Fantastic experience: I really like The Gym Group in Greenwich! The location is great, super close to the DLR station, there’s enough equipment for everyone, and even though it’s not super big it always has enough space for everyone. Every staff member I spoke to is lovely and it is definitely a great gym environment!

Fantastic experience: I recently started to work out with a personal trainer Ade Adegboyega. In a month I’ve seen results that I thought are not even possible to make in such a short period of time. He is very helpful with my queries and very supportive as well as he motivates me to do things I never thought I could do. He’s not just knowledgeable in all the things about the gym but also is good as a person and sessions with him will never be boring.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of the Greenwich branch for a few years now and particularly enjoy the classes. I'm currently doing one on one training with Ade Boyega and he's an excellent personal trainer. Personable and relatable, but tough and disciplined where it counts. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Gym is disgusting. No cleaning supplies for the machines and the restrooms are horrendous. I’m not sure how anyone is comfortable enough showering here

Fantastic experience: I love going to the gym, sometimes I can be a bit lazy but thanks to the help of my personal trainer “John”, for keeping me motivated as well as comfortable as a young female training. Not only do a I go through tough love with John, he’s absolutely hilarious so you don’t need to work on your abs as much due to the amount of laughter this man will give you. thank you John for being the best PT, I highly recommend.

Positive experience: Good gym but due to the location it is busy a lot of time, even in the evenings around 9pm early in the week. The weights section is a bit small and often cramped, but the rest of the gym is spacious with a lot of machines. No staff available in the evenings though, which was an issue when my code stopped working recently.

Fantastic experience: Lyndon is very knowledgeable and approachable. The atmosphere changes instantly when he is around. He has a certain ambience around him which allow us gym goers to push past our limits. There has been numerous times that I have gotten better with my lifts thanks to Lyndons brief input.

Actually made really good friends here too and the instructors make the classes really engaging and social. Shout out to Lyndon and Matteo for always bringing the heat to the classes! Alot of us look forward to Mondays because of the evening hiit and hyrox class :)

Positive experience: For the price there isn't enough space or equipment. Been going to Canning Town and East Ham Gym Group and they are much better.

Positive experience: The gym itself still good value and covers all basic needs. Staff are as good as ever, but there are some issues with this gym. 1. The amount of people who don't put their weights away is getting ridiculous. 2. WiFi is barely useable most times 3. Toilets are often rank, full of paper, and piss everywhere - reflecting the attitude of some members. Price has of course gone up by £5.

Negative experience: No cleaning equipment, often find myself using some sweaty equipment after others used it. The yoga mats are especially dirty, once I laid down and could even smell the sweat from mat . Never seen anyone cleaning after using them. Quite basic gym and lack of some very basic stuff (muscle roller, bar foam, yoga bricks, sit up pads etc.). I have to buy and bring my own yoga mat, roller, bar foam, elastic bands, which are a lot to carry. No hairdryers at changing rooms. Overall just like a Pure gym but at better location and more expensive.

Positive experience: Great gym, could do with extra smith machine or a seated leg curl! But has everything you need! Jason is specifically a great PT!

Negative experience: I am a member since last year and I never had never issue in this gym, however I had a very bad experience last week.This gym is consistently busy, which exacerbates issues such as members leaving personal items near machines to “reserve” them. This practice is becoming increasingly common and contributes to an environment of frustration and conflict. Last week, during my workout, I had a particularly uncomfortable situation with another member approached me in a confrontational manner, claiming they had reserved the machine with their belongings. This individual proceeded to shout at me in front of other people, displaying a level of rudeness that is completely unacceptable in any setting. I went to complain with one of the staff and he just asked me to “let him know” if this situation happens again, so we would talk to the person. However, this is definitely not happening again because I don’t feel more comfortable to go to this gym. The price of membership is not that cheap anymore, so I believe the staff should pay more attention about what is going on around and make people to understand that the gym is not private for them. I am canceling my membership because I want to have some peace while I do my workout and not someone shouting on me for no reason in front of everyone.

Fantastic experience: Hit and miss with the group classes unfortunately. Some of trainers feels like don’t spend any time preparing, for 30mins class it’s 15 mins explaining exercises or trying to think what to do next instead of actually making most of the session for people that have joined. Saying that couple of them are very good at this -motivating and most positive during group classes I am taking my words back! Excellent classes with amazing trainers! So much improvement! Love it!!!

Fantastic experience: Having been a member here for 6+ months now, I have to say it's excellent. For <£30 a month for the basic membership you get access anytime using a personal door code. The facility is really big and the quality of the machines are good. Busiest times - early evenings but otherwise I've not had problems in having to wait for equipment. I've not used a personal trainer there but just from observation they seem to have a good rapport with their clients.

Negative experience: Bit embarrassing to have to mention this, but one of the members here who is otherwise seen cleaning equipment with a cute fluffy duster told me “not to collide with him” when I accidentally bumped into him (yes.. he actually said “collide” haha) - after I didn’t take the (cleaner / putting weights back arranger) seriously, he came up to me a second time to have a private chat to which I refused and told him to leave me to it. Later had my girlfriends gym membership cancelled for “too many attempts at imputing the pin”. I can only assume this is because he didn’t feel respected and got upset. Just wanted to say I already have another gym membership and my girlfriend was leaving in 3 weeks anyway. Honestly your gym staff have way too big of an ego. Other than that.. the gym is nice and spacious with good light - 5 stars for the gym.
