Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms in the world. You can become a champion by osmosis. The atmosphere is unmatched. Day in day out you will train with some of the best in the world by accident and have your boundaries of what you thought was possible stretched. Grant, Dave and everyone else there makes it somewhere special. I miss it wherever in the world I am, and it makes other 'hardcore' gyms seem like fitness clubs. When i first started at a fitness club years ago one of the trainers there ordered me to go to Genesis and stop wasting my time. Take the same advice

Fantastic experience: This is a gym for a serious athlete. If you are a powerlifter, strongman, or bodybuilder, you'll find everything you need all in one place.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member here for about 10 years. I love this gym. Everyone is friendly and there is a great atmosphere here. It's a gym where everyone works hard and puts the effort in. It's not a gym to sit on a cardio machine, playing with your phone. It looks and sounds intimidating from the outside, but once you are inside you soon realise you are in a safe space. The man who runs the gym, Dave (aka Bulldog) is a legend in weight training and power lifting, and is very warm and friendly. It's also a very inclusive gym, where everyone is welcome.

Fantastic experience: Only visited for a powerlifting meet, so of course can't describe the day to day. But from what I saw, the team seems friendly and straightforward, the place is comfortably lived in, and the abundant kit spot-on if you like lifting heavy stuff. Definitely would consider if looking for a proper gym

Fantastic experience: Dave & Grant as well as the rest of the team run a truly amazing gym that is welcoming & has the old school feel of a proper bodybuilding gym. It’s nothing fancy or easy on the eyes but it is functional & fit for purpose couple that with the friendly atmosphere & exceptional service by the staff it is truly one of London’s hidden gems in the fitness world. Myself as well as family members have been going here either consistently or on & off for many years & nothing ever changes every time I personally go. It is safe to say there is only one Genesis Gym in London period.

Fantastic experience: Been training here for over a year now and have never come across anyone that's rude. This is a real gym with supportive members/staff, you can't not get results training here. Top tier equipment too (machines, dumbbells, all sorts of strongman equipment, calibrated plates and all types of barbells). You get what you pay for.

Fantastic experience: Came to London for 2 weeks on holiday and looked for a powerlifting gym to train for my upcoming meet back in Malaysia. Went to Genesis and met Paul who gave me a 2 week pass to Genesis at such a reasonable price. Paul was so kind and humble to me and I learned so much from him, powerlifting wise. I met Dave too who is the owner of the gym and he was so cool. He's in his 60s and still lifting so heavy! Everyone was welcoming and did not treat me as an outsider. Definitely a gym you should put on your list when visiting London. They have EVERYTHING.

Fantastic experience: One of the last old school gyms in London. Not filled with mirrors, wheat shots and yoga classes just old school weights. If you want to get stronger this is the place. Absolute giants roam this gym but they are good natured and there to mind their own business and train.

Fantastic experience: Gym for "people who lift".People more interested in getting the job done and lifting some iron than it being pretty- not much is shiny, everything has seen hard use from people using it to lift heavy stuff. If you can get past that the equipment is broad- atlas stones/logs/strongman stuff. An Olympic weightlifting platform,deadlift platforms, a monolift. And they'll let you use it all without batting an eye. The fact that it's not aesthetically pleasing is irrelevant to its function, and helps deliver more bang for your buck. The owner has a cute bulldog has squatted over 1000lbs, but the atmosphere is welcoming of people who would struggle with a tenth that. Just put back your bloody weights

Fantastic experience: Quite simply: One of the best gyms in the UK. If you love training, take it seriously or just want to be around people who will get you to your goals, this is the place. It's got a wonderful old school feel to it and has also got something that franchise gyms sorely lack - charm. The weights clang rather than bounce, the kit is no bells or whistles and there's a real work ethic atmosphere in the gym. I lost count of how heavy the weights go up to and in turn had one of my best ever workouts there. It's not just a gym where "champions are made" though. If I was a beginner I'd still make a beeline for Genesis. The great friendly staff and other members are so helpful it's unreal. If you're polite they'll treat you like part of the family. Cannot recommend this gym enough. I wish I could give it six stars

All powerlifting and strongman equipment as well, monolift l, logs, atlas stones , every type of bar and accessories . Dave the owner is a legend in powerlifting too and always happy to lend a hand and advise .

Fantastic experience: first class strength gym, one of the very very best. Dave have the background and coaching style to help all levels improve their strength and condition. On any given day you can see people picking up 150kg atlas stones and deadlifting 300kg. Very friendly atmosphere and stacked with great equipment including Ivanko 50kg plates and 150kg dumbells!

Fantastic experience: Best gym in London. I live 45 minutes away and despite having multiple gyms within walking distance, I make the journey to Genesis whenever possible. It is quite simply incredible. There is all the equipment to train with that you can imagine. Literally every type of specialist barbell. So many machines for every body part and a huge amount of dumbbells. There is a whole section upstairs for abs training and cardio. But the best part of this gym is the people. Everyone that I've met here trains hard and makes the atmosphere and vibe perfect to push your limits. 10/10 would recommend.

You walk in and see the machines of men and the whole array of exercise equipment and you already get the empowering feeling. Gym can do with a bit work but that can be overlooked, also parking around there is usually free.
