Fantastic experience: A beautiful place to stay and dine for those special occasions. Attention to detail and excellent service in all areas. Probably the best place I've been to in terms of food and decor. Staff were so welcoming and helpful throughout our visit. Will definitely be returning many times in the future.

Fantastic experience: Had the pleasure of having afternoon tea last week for my 60th birthday. It was outstanding and beautifully presented. The service was absolutely perfect and was made extra special as we were taken care of by a really charming young woman called Cris. She was absolutely immaculate and incredibly smiley and friendly. She really made our afternoon extra special. We later had a wander around and had a lovely chat with Elise who was equally charming and delightful. The hotel is so stunning but the staff really do just make the whole experience complete.

Fantastic experience: There are very few words needed to describe Grantley Hall, everything is to the highest standard, it’s like stepping out of this crazy world of chaos into total relaxation and service that is beyond you wildest dreams, just ask and it will done, nothing is too much trouble. So many restaurants and bars, the grounds are stunning, Valeria’s night club is a great way to party and recoup in the spa with awesome treatments, snow room, cryogen room the next day. An absolute must for anyone wanting to experience luxury

Fantastic experience: We had the best time at Grantley Hall. The hotel is just beautiful, the staff were absolutely the best, so genuine and kind. The room was comfortable, I think they could do better on the amenities in the room, just because it says Bvlgari what's inside could be better. The hotel itself and the grounds are gorgeous. Where this place really shines is in the food! We had an incredible experience at Shaun Rankin restaurant, it was the best tasting menu we have ever had. The dinner at Fletchers so also so great, the staff were so enjoyable. Breakfast was just awesome. I would come back to this hotel anytime!

Fantastic experience: Jess from the weddings department has been amazing. I have decided not to book my wedding for various reasons but she was the most helpful person I had spoken to from every venue I visited. She made my wedding day sound so magical and had come back to me with the most amazing proposal. She took time to speak with me and I want to say thank you to her for taking all that time with me. She is an absolute asset to Grantley hall!

Fantastic experience: An amazing location, a luxurious premises, attentive and courteous staff, and absolutely outstanding food! The pate starter was small but tasty. The pork entree was outstanding in presentation, execution, quality, and flavour - although lacking in substance, and could easily pass as a substantial starter. For dessert, the creme brulle could not be faulted. An exceptional experience in a sumptuous location with a first class service, and outstanding food, but you do pay a premium for this luxury and should be attired and we'll mannered accordingly!

We were upgraded to a larger suite and the attention to detail throughout the hotel is just stunning. Staff were very professional, polite and made sure we felt at home. Amazing scenery within the hotel grounds and the spa facilities was exceptional. Great food options with the various restaurants as well so you don’t even need to go out of the hotel grounds! Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Our second visit to the luxurious Grantley Hall. With a focus on becoming one of the best hotels in the country, Grantley go above and beyond to make your stay the best they possibly can. So many carefully considered touches surround you throughout the hotel. Attention to detail by all the staff help to make the experience a truly memorable event. We took dinner in Eighty Eight and loved every mouthful. During our walks around the grounds we bumped into the General Manager who went out of his way to make us feel very welcome and point out some of the history to hall and its development into the hotel it is now. Fantastic experience: Brace yourself. This is going to be loooong!!! I was excited to be visiting (we stayed 2 nights) and I was not disappointed. Staff and Service: From the moment we arrived, the staff were wonderful. They were genuinely happy to be working there and it showed. Check In: We were greeted with a welcome drink in a gorgeous room. Loved it. Suites: Our suites were gorgeous!? GORGEOUS !!! I had a bottle of sparkling tea awaiting me (I don’t drink alcohol) and some apples. My view was not A1 (overlooking the pool area) but some may like that. One window did look out onto the lush green acreage. The shower had a steam room facility. SUPERB. Bed lovely, TV lovely. I cannot even describe the gorgeousness (I realise I am using this word a lot) out the atrium that led to our rooms. The weather was fantastic so we had breakfast outdoors daily. It was just scenic and lovely and fabulous. One friend kept saying it was like paradise. I don’t think I’d go that far. But I would say that I wish we had stayed longer to explore it a bit more. The variety of restaurants and the facilities (we didn’t have time to try out the spa!) They also host amazing events so keep an eye out! It’s expensive but definitely worth it.

Fantastic experience: From the welcome at the entrance gate to the welcome at the hotel, the service (this time for an afternoon tea) was exemplary. The professionalism, courtesy and friendliness of each of the members of staff we met were excellent. We look forward to another visit.

Negative experience: I have booked the afternoon tea for my husband BD which been cancelled without informing me, it totally ruined the day.

Negative experience: Very disappointed to say between my family and my girlfriends family we have stayed at Grantley over 20 times - but this was our first time just the 2 of us - from arrival we were parked around the back and not told where to go or how to access the venue - luckily we had stayed before and knew where to go - no doorman or hello when entered which given our past experiences this was disappointing not to receive again luckily we have had afternoon tea before so knew where to go but unfortunately again no greeting and we were stood at the podium outside the drawing room for around 5 minutes when asked if we were needing any help - we then were told to come back in 5/10 minutes when our table would be ready which again for the price you pay you don’t expect to recieve this especially when the room was almost empty - once in we felt a bit neglected and put away which I think was down to our age and the fact we were likely assumed to be one off visitors - had really high hopes and was looking forward to this day due to our past experiences at Grantley which have all been great but were all with our older parents and possibly taken more seriously and valued more Was planning to treat my girlfriend for her birthday to a stay and some spa treatments but will probably look elsewhere as this experience has probably soured our appetite to return

Fantastic experience: Me and my wife got married here in 2021 and the grantley hall team have not only made our dreams come true above and beyond all our expectations personally, but have helped us on a business level too. This has allowed our local business R & R land rover to provide our clients with some amazing gift expereinces at grantley hall like thier award winning afternoon tea, and even luxury overnight stays! We want to say a massive thank you for your contined support, and we look forward to staying with you, and working with you again soon . 5 stars from us!

Fantastic experience: Attended Grantley for a friends birthday party and stayed for the weekend. Fabulous venue!! I'd just like to pop an unprompted message of gratitude to 2 people. Poppy in the spa was the standout staff member of the trip. She made us feel so welcome and treated us like royalty. Her attention to detail is first class and my hope is that the venue treats her like royalty too!! Aside from the obvious (surroundings, food, rooms) there is normally a bit of magic that takes the experience at a place like this to the next level, which I feel no luxury venue can afford not to have. On this occasion, it was Poppy who delivered the magic on behalf of Grantley. Big thanks to Caleb F too, who has always been first class when I've been before, and even went as far as to communcate with me in his absence on this occasion, ensuring I was looked after. Two irreplaceable people right there. Thank you both. Can't thank you enough!

Fantastic experience: Grantley Hall is truly a special place. I just spent my birthday weekend at the hotel, and I was blown away. Quite honestly, I wasn’t expecting it to be so great. From the minute you enter the gates, and the staff are there to valet your car, it just gets better and better. The staff really made an effort on my birthday to make sure it was special. A card, chocolates, the GM (Nuno) personally wished my HB. They made what was always going to be a great experience (with the facilities), into one of the top hotel experiences I’ve had. Truly awesome. 10/10.

Fantastic experience: Unbelievable Wedding Venue. The location and building is stunning but the staff really set this apart. Amazing attention to detail - fantastic service and so welcoming from all staff. A big thanks to Joe on the bar who really goes above and beyond to look after guests with amazing bar skills and service.

Fantastic experience: We took our family to Fletcher's this past September and it was something truly special, largely due to our waiter's exceptional service. Rintaro's ability to blend humor with professionalism was remarkable. He joined in on our jokes at just the right moments, making the entire table feel comfortable and included without ever compromising the upscale dining experience. The food was outstanding, but it was Rintaro's genuine hospitality and ability to connect with us that made our dinner unforgettable. We loved our stay at Grantley Hall and look forward to returning the next time we are in the UK.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing day spent at Grantley Hall! We came for afternoon tea and were made to feel special! The entrance to the hotel was a long windy drive and the building looked beautiful as you drove nearer! We were warmly greeted by all staff we came across and were promptly taken to our seats by a wonderful waiter! We had a spacious sofa and chairs and felt like Lady of the Manor for the afternoon! There were plenty of teas/coffees on the menu and were encouraged to try a few! We picked the Cloudcatcher, Lemongrass & ginger, as well as the cafetière of coffee. The food came in 2 stages; savoury first, followed by patisserie and scones. Everything was fresh and well presented. We particularly loved the cakes and savoured every mouthful!! We will not hesitate to return again!

Fantastic experience: Thank you everyone at Grantley Hall who made my birthday afternoon tea such an amazing event. The chef had to deal with two food issues - Gluten Free and an Allium allergy. The food quality, taste and presentation was stunning. Ambience, food, service, staff friendliness - 6 star. I had a gluten free afternoon tea at Harrods recently, which was delightful, but Grantley Hall was above and beyond that experience. See you again soon Grantley Hall!

Fantastic experience: We have just returned from an incredible stay at Grantley Hall, which included a complimentary upgrade to their Royal Suite! The food was incredible - the tasting menu by Shaun Rankin was super delicious and the food at 88 equally so. What a place!

Fantastic experience: Utterly exceptional! Visited here tonight since my previous visit nearly 5 years ago. Wow. I forgot how gorgeous Grantley really is, I true hidden jewel in the Yorkshire countryside. Everything from the staff to setting, the prestigious spa, the custom scent in every room and service, worth every pound. Made to feel welcome, with a warm greeting upon arrival. They even played music in speakers in the car park when we arrived at 9pm. Attention to detail is second to none, incredible menu and food and outstanding cocktails. Looking forward to returning for my birthday in April.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely outstanding. The best hotel I've ever stayed in and if I could give more than 5 stars I would. Valeria Sykes has created something very special here. No longer does a northerner have to travel too far to experience pure luxury. You HAVE to stay here, at least once in your life. The staff, the grounds, the facilities, the rooms and the food are all next level. The gym is so good with such a great variety of equipment (and a full weights area!) The pool is immaculate, the loungers are large and super comfy too. We were lucky enough to be offered an upgrade to the Brimham Suite and it is the best suite we've ever stayed in, by far. We dined at Shaun Rankin (with the wine pairing) and what an experience we had, phenomenal, his food is tremendous, I loved the Yorkshire twist! It's hard to describe how fantastic the service is, the staff are attentive without being overbearing and they were all truly lovely (with none of the snootiness you sometimes encounter in a 5 star hotel.) Yes this hotel is expensive, as it should be, but I believe anyone would be made to feel welcome here, whether it is a once in a lifetime treat or if you are a regular purveyor of luxury hotels! If you have been toying with the idea of booking, do yourself a favour and do it, you will absolutely not regret it. I cannot wait to return, as soon as possible!

Fantastic experience: We had a night here for my wife's birthday. It was treat from my Daughter & Son Inlaw, it surpassed all expectations. From the moment we arrive till the minute we left we had 5 star service. The Staff are wonderful they are a credit to the Hotel. We would like to thank Mark the head Porter & Recardo on reseption and every member of staff we met giving us a magical stay. We had Dinner in the fletcher restraunt where we had beef Wellington & the food & wine was exceptional. Mark took the time to show us around the hotel & give us a little bit of History on the place. Every part of the hotel is exquisite with no detail missed. Has even a 1 star Michelin chief Shaun Rankin that resides there. His restraunt is also fantastic. But was not open on the Day we were there but will defently be back. What a treat we had.

The restaurants are fantastic, I have to say that we loved Shaun Rankins. Love that they have a cocktail jazz bar with a beautiful jazz singer. Definitely think that this hotel is the best in Yorkshire.

Fantastic experience: I have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world and i have to say your attention to detail in the renovation , presentation of the hotel was outstanding the design team / owners really have thought of everything in the way the hotel flows and looks its beautiful and superbly thought out. Your arrival staff were very welcoming. I always say everyone sometimes gets things wrong but its how you deal with them that matters I had booked afternoon tea for 4 people at 12.00 on arrival for our stay I had the e mail confirmation somehow the booking was overlooked but your staff arranged lunch in another restaurant and provided a free glass of bubbles as a way of saying sorry and as my partner really wanted afternoon tea they manged to serve us a least one setting so it was dealt with in a good and considerate manner. I thought breakfast and evening dinner were fantastic absolutely perfect, I will be recommending your hotel to friends as an outstanding place to visit and will be back to stay with you very soon thanks to all your wonderful staff.

Fantastic experience: Enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea as a birthday treat with my 14 year old granddaughter. Service was fantastic and tea wonderful.

Positive experience: We stayed for 2 nights for my birthday, my husband had hired e-bikes, his was not working with faulty e-pad and the gears were not working properly, we had some service issues in both restaurants, we had emailed feedback on this on Friday but had no response, which again is poor to have no response. All other aspects of hotel and stay were very good, but we would have expected better on these few instances.

Fantastic experience: The best hotel I’ve stayed in. It’s on a Dubai level of luxury but with the essential English country twist. It’s beyond five stars, no question. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. You feel welcome and comfortable immediately. Michelin star dining, well stocked bar, first class spa facilities all set in an idillic country estate. I can pick no faults. A champion of hotels!

Fantastic experience: We have just returned from three wonderful nights at Grantley Hall. This hotel is second to none! The staff are always smart and helpful, the grounds so well kept, all areas clean. The restaurants all very different and all extremely good and great choices. This is our second visit and it’s just as perfect as our first.

Fantastic experience: Attended here for a conference in Sep 2023. From the minute you drive in you feel like you are somewhere special. the waterfalls that are on the left of the driveway set the scene for a relaxed and luxurious environment. Food was lovely and service was as you would expect. You know when there is music in the car park you are somewhere posh! lol

Fantastic experience: Absolutely a 5 star experience at Grantley Hall. The vip treatment begins as you enter the property through the secure gates and drive by the huge pond into the manicured grounds. The hall is a beautiful old historic building that has been beautifully renovated. Any car enthusiasts would love driving through the first car park that's typically filled with very expensive luxury cars. We were there to have afternoon tea which you prebook online. When we entered the hall the staff greeted us right away and made us feel like celebrities. I feel like they make the experience feel extra special. We waited a little longer than expected to be taken to our table but the staff were all very apologetic and gave us some complimentary champagne to make up for our longer wait. We didn't really mind waiting because we were sat in the foyer of this beautiful place and were happy to soak up the atmosphere. Once we made it to our seats in the large room we got comfortable on the luxurious settees our server came and introduced himself and asked us what drinks we would like. I don't remember his name but he was very friendly and knowledgeable about all of the food and teas that they had on the menu that day. As he brought out our trays of pastries and sandwiches he explained everything and answered our questions. The food was all absolutely delicious. I can't fault anything at all. The pastries were all handmade and fresh and so mouth-watering. All of the staff were so amazing. Their uniforms were top notch. The hall has rooms available to stay, a stunning spa area, a Michelin star restaurant and bar. A gorgeous bar outside on a patio by the water. Then there's another bar that is in a giant igloo which is changed seasonally and has lots of seating with big blankets and patio heating. There is a beautiful gift shop on the premises and next to that is a stunning Japanese restaurant with a secret bar/club in the basement! The Japanese gardens beside the restaurant is gorgeous and so serene, definitely worth exploring! I literally cannot think of anything bad to say about Grantley Hall. I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone. For a Special occasion it is fantastic. I would love to one day be invited to a wedding here because I can imagine it would be utterly stunning!

Fantastic experience: We have recently stayed at Gleneagles, doesn’t even compare now we have stayed at Grantly. I also studied at Glion (the Swiss hospitality school) and have worked all over the world in various hotels. I can honestly say, I have been so impressed and beyond happy we have found a hotel we love this much. We will defiantly be coming back. Thank you for making our stay so brilliant and for blowing us away with the outstanding level of service given by every member of staff, from the moment we drove to the entrance gates.

Fantastic experience: We had the most fabulous day at Grantley Hall today. A beautiful hotel, excellent food, a stunning spa and wonderful staff - in particular Reuben (in the Three Graces Lounge) and Michele (in the spa) both were so kind and helpful and made my stay so pleasurable.

Negative experience: Service and communication appalling, management hide behind staff , this is not how you conduct service in what I call a 6 star hotel in the uk . I’m not boring you with details as I could write for hrs . It’s a lovely hotel with top class facilities but the back end staff management are very bad , front of house are very professional and provide you with the service you require in such a up market establishment.

The masterfully crafted dishes were a symphony of flavors, and the turbot and fennel ice cream stole our hearts Each course was a delightful surprise, leaving both of us in awe of the culinary genius behind every plate. The restaurant's ambiance was equally impressive, striking a perfect balance between elegance and comfort. Our Spanish server only 6 weeks in the job and a grantley lover . A Melting Pot of Characters: Grantley Hall is not just a place; it's an experience. Throughout our stay, we encountered fascinating individuals who added an extra layer of charm to the already magical atmosphere. Whether it was the friendly guests we met in the bars or the affable staff who shared intriguing stories, it was the people who made my stay truly unforgettable. Fantastic experience: We stayed for my wife’s birthday and we were not disappointed. The stay wasn’t cheap, but you get what you pay for at Grantley Hall. The hotel is complete luxury and well worth a special break. The approach to the hotel is impressive enough, but then you meet the staff on arrival who are professional, attentive and there to make your stay as easy and relaxing as possible. The rooms are spacious and have been furnished to a high standard. Then there is the spa, difficult to want to leave it, has everything you could want, worth the heated indoor/outdoor pool probably the highlight, although the heated beds are quite nice too. Can’t fault this hotel one bit, have stayed at many high end hotels over the years, but this has taken top spot - would highly recommend if you want to be spoiled and can spare the money.

Positive experience: Lovely decor, excellent staff, beautiful grounds. Very expensive though and atmosphere ruined by background music which was everywhere including the gardens and car parks!!

Fantastic experience: Wow what an experience. The level of service and attention to detail is exceptional. The staff really do make Grantley a special place. We had 3 nights and booked all 3 restaurants and enjoyed all of them. The Shaun Rankin 10 course tasting menu and wine pairing was superb. The design and decor is amazing and the grounds are kept so well. Eighty Eight restaurant was perfect. You really do have to experience Grantley Hall to appreciate how good it is.

The staff are phenomenal, they always manage to make us feel so special. The food is unreal, the spa is beautiful - especially when the sun shines & this weekend was perfection. Fantastic experience: We had an outstanding experience at Grantley Hall. We've dined before, but this was the first time staying and it blew us away. Check in was efficient, as was check out. Dinner was wonderful in EightyEight and the facilities flawless. Team members that stood out to us were Callum (Reception), Natasha (EightyEight), Ella (Porter) as well as Tracey and Amy in sales - thank you all for looking after us!

Fantastic experience: Grantley Hall is a stunning venue! I've been lucky enough to perform here and as soon as you approach the drive you know you're somewhere special. The surrounding are idillic and the Hall is epic. This special venue makes for the perfect wedding venue or corporate retreat. To top it off the staff are always incredibly professional and cannot do enough for you.

Positive experience: Disappointing. Afternoon tea was average. Sandwich selection quite drab needed some decor with the serving. Service in fact was appalling had to wait 25mins prior to order being taken further to requesting on numerous occasions to be served. Plate which arrived was not clean and tea was tasteless. Would not go for afternoon tea again especially since cost was also £45pp. Experience did not live up to our expectations.

Positive experience: We dined at Grantley Hall in the Orchard. The Hall has a lovely feel to it and the staff welcoming was polite. The food was lovely. Service seemed slow in both the Orchard (drinks were taken at the same time as our food) and the Norton Lounge, despite plenty of staff wondering through. No-one took payment for our after dinner drinks, we tried at reception and were told to walk back to the bar and pay there (nobody came to our table with a card machine).

Fantastic experience: We had a lovely lunch at the Fletchers Restaurant. The staff were super, as was the food. Plenty of delicious choices on the menu, good portion sizes and the wine list is very extensive. The whole establishment has been beautifully renovated. The attention to detail throughout was a real pleasure. We will definitely be returning.

Positive experience: Food was Excellent especially Shaun Rankin at Grantley hall. Food at this level should not be served by staff sufferring with an outbreak of severe acne, the sommelier wasnt convincing. Yorkshire produce at its finest. An easy 5 star excepting inexperienced staff. Rooms are comfortable.

Fantastic experience: Visited 21 January. Staff were very efficient and extremely welcoming. The afternoon tea was the best I have ever had. The cakes were simply delicious. I am vegetarian and often that limits my choices but not at Grantley Hall. I was even asked if I would prefer not to have anything that included gelatine and when I said yes was provided with an alternative choice of cakes which were amazing. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: A stunning venue, we stopped here whilst transiting North to South England it was a short drive off the A/M1 motorway, and a lovely place to get some lunch. The Entrance and grounds is stunning and the drive is lined with a small river. We enjoyed seeing all the luxury cars parked outside the main entrance. We ate in the Fletchers restaurant, and the staff were very accommodating, changing the menus so I could have a starter for a main. The Alcohol free wine was not to our tasting, but we weren't too surprised by that! A Beautiful venue and great and attentive staff, I look forwards to visiting again.
