Fantastic experience: Had a fabulous time as 3 adults and 4 children. Staff were friendly and the facilities were clean. Kids had an amazing time with the wave machine being their highlight!

Fantastic experience: Came here for a day whilst on holiday with friends and kids, not knowing what to expect but WOW. This is only comparable to this is holiday parks or specialist water parks. Friendly staff, huge facilities, clean and dry changing areas and the pool was incredible. The kids loved the wave pool and those which were big enough loved the flumes too! So worth it, would absolutely recommend

Fantastic experience: Brilliant pool and excellent staff. Spotless now as well. Little one has swimming lessons with kieran he loves it. Also take him for splash pool visits as well. Toddlers free now as well. Very busy but well run.

Fantastic experience: Fun time in the wave pool with the grandchildren. Only two gripes. One you need a pound coin to operate the locker. Two after paying to park i find it is free if you enter your reg in the screen inside. Tip One Euro coin works in the locker too.

Negative experience: Terrible service! Booked a family swam in June, only for it to be cancelled when we go there as there had been an "accident". Lad on reception told us we could rebook, or email in and we could receive a full refund. After emailing in for the refund, we were then told that this could not be processed as they do not offer refunds. Do they tell their staff different things? After arguing this for many days, as it was their fault, they finally agreed to give us a refund. Fast forward 2 and a half months and we are still awaiting this... I was originally told we were "missed off" the refund list so had to wait ANOTHER 28 days... 35 days later, they finally get back in touch to say "the refund has been sent"... And guess what? It hasn't'!! Still awaiting the refund and unable to get hold of anybody to discuss this. Terrible organisation.

Fantastic experience: Very clean and so much fun for my little brother and I! The inflatable for no additional cost was great and noticed people tidying/litter picking in the car park too. A little expensive in the cafe, but some good options and vending machines. Will be returning!

Fantastic experience: Went to do some Lane Swimming in the 25 meter pool here whilst I was visiting family and the lanes were nice and wide for me to swim without interruptions from others in the same lane. The centre can be quite confusing on first visit as you have to go through a gate and then get changed downstairs in an area of cubicles rather than a separated Male/Female room but once your used to it it's quite good actually. Prices were reasonable, overall a good place to go to get some lengths in

Negative experience: Visited today. When we arrived to the changing rooms it smelt strong of urine! Secondly they was dirty nappies all over the floor and rubbish! Toilets were filthy and mucky floor in showers. Sort it out - wish I read these reviews before we booked.

Negative experience: Got fed up with how filthy the place is. The place stinks of pee and the toilets had poo on the floor with puddles. This was when the place just opened so no excuses. A place like this needs to be cleaned constantly.

Negative experience: Terrible impression before we've even been (and we won't be going as a result) . I've been calling constantly for the past 40 minutes as I have some questions regarding the pool. No answer. Just rings several times and then an automatic message asks for a call back later. I'll just give my money to another establishment instead. Utterly useless organisation and shambolic if front of house staff cannot do their job or are understaffed.

Negative experience: We were a bit early. Walked on the cafe. Went for some crisps while we waited. £2 for a packet of quavers! There is absolutely no need for that. Disgusting.

Negative experience: The local leisure centre pool itself is perfectly serviceable—clean, with good lane availability and reasonable facilities. Sadly, the social environment leaves a lot to be desired. A small clique of older blokes has effectively claimed the space as their own, creating an unwelcoming, borderline hostile atmosphere for anyone not part of their little club. These men treat public sessions like their personal training ground, guarding lanes with passive-aggressive stares and muttered comments. If you’re not part of their circle—or don’t look the part—expect to be spoken down to, cut off mid-length, or outright ignored. It’s less like a community pool and more like a retired rugby squad reunion that never ended. A few days ago, a younger guy, clearly capable in the water—asked one of the regulars if they could share the fast lane during an adult swim session. The response? A sneering rude and hurtful comment followed by passive aggression. He’d done nothing wrong except be new and not part of the club. It’s clear other swimmers are either too familiar with the dynamic or too reluctant to challenge it. This sort of territorial behaviour is petty, exclusionary, and completely at odds with what a council-run pool should stand for. It discourages new users and creates a toxic hierarchy where being a “regular” trumps being respectful. Unless you fancy navigating this outdated, alpha-male pecking order every swim, you’re better off finding a pool with actual community spirit—this one’s all chlorine and cliques.

Negative experience: The poolside and changing areas toilets showers etc.. are very unclean arrived today got changed to be told the pool was closed due to something in the water never even made it into the pool staff didn't really have any answers and have had to email for refund was told not entirely sure but would probably get something back. Accidents happen but certainly not the visit I expected and it's been a difficult process afterwards trying to resolve the refund.

Positive experience: Many times, my husband and I have visited with our kids and it has been great. They have three big slides, white and Yellow are great. Red has never been in use when we've visited. Today was disappointing, the floors in the changing area/showers, pool side and in the pool itself were slippery and quite dangerous - one lady slipped over, wasn't the only one who slipped. Everything needs a good clean.. If things are improved, it will be brilliant and 5 star rating.

Positive experience: Good slides. However the white slide is very dangerous. You get stuck all the way down as the water is very shallow. The turnes are dangerous most of us that went on that slip smashed our hip on the first turn. This slide should use a rubber ring. Waves where good. Not enough showers. The shower ques where huge. Overall we gave w really good time

Negative experience: Hated it here. Family drying machine broken and out of order, overpriced admission and vending machines . In need of a good spring clean. Manky little scruffs in the pool too, disgusting. Made my poor daughter and her friend feel ill.

Negative experience: Absolutely shocking customer service. We have called numerous times and been hung up on. How hard is it to do your job and answer phone calls?

Negative experience: The place is absolutely filthy. They installed a whole new stadia and then dont keep it clean. The toilets are dirty and dont get cleaned regularly, also the showers are constantly broken. The staff on the front desk are surly, rude and clearly dont enjoy dealing with people. Heres an idea, dont work in customer service.

Fantastic experience: I go here swimming all the time whenever I can i think it is good.The wave machine is really fun.However, I don’t like how 2 of the water slides are open at one time, I would rather prefer all 3 water slides are open at the same time.Overall, I really do enjoy go every time apart from the fact about the water slides and I haven’t read any of reviews about the cleanliness before.

Negative experience: Paid to park to then be told the pool is closed for "free swim" (free as in the activity not the price), and only opens at a weekend... No idea when that policy came in, but it's a bit useless having a pool sat there empty during the day isn't it? No offer to refund my parking fee, even when I mentioned it. No wonder nobody goes out anymore when this is the kind of place one might go to. It's OK, we'll just sit indoors and play on our phones and get unfit and overweight.

Positive experience: We had a great time here. Despite the previous reviews, we didn't think cleanliness was a problem: perhaps they have changed practices and people are better at using bins etc? We visited on a Sunday late morning and didn't have to queue more than 5 minutes for the flumes. There was lots of different things to do for the kids and we easily filled the hour and a half. Lots of changing space and lockers (£1 needed). We thought the wave machine might be a bit more frequent or last longer (came on twice for about 5 mins a time) but I can see it might be a much for some people. We were considering travelling further afield but will definitely be coming back.

Negative experience: Would not recommend going swimming it's disgusting, whole place sinks like pee the whole place needs jet washing it's that dirty, only photos I could take where in the changing room when I got my phone out the locker, Around the pools where fake nails rubbish fake eye lashes, chewed up bits of foam and a inch think of slimy scum in the rims around the pools, I will not be returning to swim again the place needs closing for a deep clean!!!

The changing areas are disgusting I have personally seen the sandwich too. If you're unfortunate enough to need the toilet then just do yourself a favour and just wee into a bottle. the toilets are an actual Plague. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Negative experience: Absolutely filthy!! Me and my partner took his brother(11) and our 6 month old swimming. HELL it came up as a baby pool option on google. WISH I read the reviews I didn’t even want to get my baby changed in here, it was so dirty, flies everywhere, dirt on the floors, crumbs and food all over. Some kind of chewed up food on the baby changing stand, I had to clean it up as all the staff look about 16 and just sit there waffling to each other. The lift looks like it will break in any second also absolutely filthy and grim inside. people can walk around the pool area with shoes on full clothed so The floor is absolutely disgusting, only 2 family changing rooms (1 closed due to the time) couldn’t fit pushchair in the door of the baby changing area(no sense) receptionist was rude af, told her it was our first time , didn’t show us were to go or anything had to keep asking, she was as useful as a stick. Pool floor is absolutely dirty to, Couldn’t pay me to return HELL If you do for some reason want to still go, TAKE FLIPFLOPS!! Really believe they should be closed down because I don’t see how somewhere so filthy and unhygienic with a clear fly infestation can be healthy for children?

Negative experience: Really wish I'd have checked reviews before booking. £37 for a family of 4 on the website. I have one child with Cystic fibrosis too. And uncleanliness places we try and avoid... It has been a very very long time since my last visit and we came for her 4th birthday... we didn't stay the full time because the place was extremely dirty. Filthy actually. Even for a family without conditions it was vile. The lift was thick with dirt. People trapsing shoes through the changing rooms. Made the floor disgusting. Rubbish in the changing cubicles. We then opened a locker and a number of flies was in there. We tried other lockers and they was the exact same. Just really unnecessary and lazy cleanliness. Walking around the pool side was thick with the slippy type bacteria on the floor... can't see where they spent the revamp money. It was dark inside. It wasn't a fun or vibrant feel to it at all! Queuing for 3 slides on one set of stairs... not great. Will not be visiting again.

Negative experience: Pay for council gyms and always use Rebecca Adlington cleaning done by staff and customers so always spot on came here today as there is some work being done in car park at RA and cannot believe how filthy the gym is no wipes or cleaning stuff to wipe off equipment did ask for some but was told they don't have any? What are you meant to clean sweat off with then? Bit of a health issue here needs addressing been before and was the same thought it was a one off but clearly not.

Negative experience: 2 stars. I’ve been going for about 3 years now so have been hoping for change. The pros include 1. the staff, who are on the whole friendly and approachable 2. the monthly cost vs other gyms in Mansfield 3. The ability to use other sites. The cons are: 1. the gym being the mid-summer temperature of northern Spain preventing any reasonable cardiovascular exercise. I’d go so far as to say it’s potentially dangerous to some trying to exert themselves and well above recommended temperatures. This has been brought up multiple times and have been fobbed off each time. 2. The gym being used an after school club making it unusable between 4.30 and 6.30 unless you want to feature on an instagram reel. 3. The main pool frequently being used with 3 large lanes for lane swimming with absolutely no regulation of speed within lanes. This is particularly problematic in the mornings, 4. The ongoing situation with the car park being owned by the council causing parking tickets you cannot challenge if you get it wrong.

Negative experience: First visit to Water Meadows today. We paid £19 for 2 adults and 2 children. I was met by a miserable and rude receptionist. She knew it was our first visit, didn't tell us where to go and get changed and I had to ask about how the car parking worked after reading a sign myself. She clearly, didn’t want to be at work today. We purposely travelled 40 minutes so that our 3 year old could use the flumes to then be told after paying that he wasn’t old enough to go on them. Only 1 family changing room in the block that we got changed in- ridiculous for a centre that is meant to be for families. The cafe had a depressing feel- dark in there and litter on the tables. Worst of all, the changing rooms and toilets were absolutely FILTHY. Rubbish everywhere, flies, dirty nappies etc. The only positive thing I can say is that the lifeguards that we came across were polite and pleasant. We won’t be returning sadly.

Fantastic experience: Not bad at all, had to pay online and printed the paper off, gets there and was told after I'd paid for car parking when inside the building there a computer screen were you can get 150 minutes free parking, so why don't they tell you before , but the grandkids had a great time.

Negative experience: Never have I wanted to levitate so much! If there was an option for no stars I would leave it. The cleanliness of the pool was disgusting, plasters in the pool, sanitary product floating in the pool, chewing gum treaded into the slide and fly infestation in the changing rooms. Spoke to reception, asked what I wanted as she didn’t know what to do. Asked for a manager, told there was one but he’s “probably busy”. Manager came and said, “so you’re not happy”. This should be visited by environmental health.

Negative experience: Disgusting changing room, had to stop my child picking up litter and food off the floor, toilets were also dirty, staff weren't very helpful and were a bit rude and I not allowed to take a photo of my own child by herself but staff coming round asking to take photos you have to buy, 13 quid for photo on flume!!

Positive experience: It’s a great pool for young kids with waves, play areas for all ages and flumes. The only downside to the place is it’s filthy. The toilets are utterly disgusting with wet chunks of toilet roll all over the dirty floors, discarded nappies, not to mention other things. This last time my husband had to paddle through an inch of water on the toilet floors from goodness knows where. The central areas have discarded wristbands everywhere and it’s not just one or two. Whilst I get that most of these issues are caused by the users of the pool surely it should be maintained to at least a basic level. The lift looks disgusting too - pics included. For the price you pay for a 90 minute swim it’d be nicer if it was more hygienic.

Negative experience: Disgusting, depressing place. Toilets and changing rooms were a disgrace. Strong smell of urine and filth in the toilets. Litter everywhere in the changing rooms. There seemed to be lifeguards everywhere but not a cleaner in sight. The white slide is a joke. You end up shuffling down it because there isn't enough water flow to make it work properly and the two other slides were so slow. Honestly, I've been on escalators that were more fun. Will never go back.

Negative experience: Last minute decision and didn't read the reviews, I wish I did. The pools are ok-ish, but everything else very dirty, particularly the toilets, very disgusting.

Negative experience: Really really unclean. The state of the poolside was full of wristbands old and crunched up and the changing rooms were appalling. Dirty nappies, used makeup wipes, food and general litter all around the entire changing block - utterly disgusting. Although the slides are good for kids it is NOT worth the money. General pool area was just dull, old and uncared for.

Negative experience: Wow.. just, wow.. We came here today and wanted a snack from the vending machine before all the 'fun' started. All 3 vending machines were out of order. Not a good start. We got changed and got in the pool. We started on the White flume ride, what a joke this is. It's super slow and stops half way down and you have to try and push your wet body weight against the dry flume and eventually get going again. This happens twice before being dumped into an area where the water goes up your nose every time. The red one was better but lasts about 5 seconds before it's over. The place is dirty, tiles had mould around them on the way out. Child of 6 had to pay an adult admission. So disappointed with this place. None of us felt comfortable with the resident photographer either. None of us will be returning here again.

Negative experience: Good pools , decent slides, waves come on 3 times in a session , however there was poo on the bottom of the pool in about 5 different locations and smeared on a wall and the changing rooms are very dirty. Used to be £7 or so to go swimming now it's suddenly jumped to £9.50. The white slide is clearly for a floatie or a mat, because at one point you need to physically push yourself down. Just to add the toilets were absolutely disgusting and I almost threw up. And there were wristbands floating around in the pool and 75 people in one pool! If the price has increased to 9.50 then I suggest you give 30 minutes between each session or even 15 to briefly clean the area. I do not recommend coming here at all

Negative experience: Changing rooms, lockers etc absolutely filthy and broken. We had to change lockers 3 times as broken. Took us ages to find an okay changing room and then there was no lock on...broken off! Family changing rooms were all absolutely horrendous so we squeezed into a normal one. It was disgusting and our first visit will be our last.

Positive experience: Not bad for an hour or so with the kids however the changing rooms and showers are absolutely horrific, lumps of hair on the floors, hair all over the tap for the showers, dirt and god knows what else on the floors and on the seating. Not good enough

Negative experience: We visited the water park today and we can definitely say we won't come back! I think the picture speaks for itself. The place is in absolute filth. We've got a baby and a toddler and this place is a dirty mess. The bottom of the kids pools were very dirty. There are only two family changing rooms and they were completely full of litter and dirt all over the floor not to mention dirty nappies. Despite being heavily staffed we haven't seen anybody near the changing facilities to keep an eye on things. This area should be maintained heavily in particular given that you walk in with your shoes and out barefoot the same route ! Having said that the young staff did not seem to care for people to jump into the pool from wherever and whenever even when it was a non swimmer pool with little children. We raised a complaint at the front desk but did not get an apolgy nor any reassurance that the issues would be dealt with.

Negative experience: Used to love going swimming here but now changing rooms are always dirty, toilets next to pool stink and look disgusting. Last visit there was that much chlorine in water my eyes started stinging almost immediately and to top it off went down kids water slide with my granddaughter and broke my arm so all in all not a good experience

Fantastic experience: Booked my 2 children in for swimming lessons. Was Amazed, a certain Tutor Declan. Was Superb with my 10yr old Son, swimming with float. Within 1st 30min session. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: An excellent sports center for all types of swimming. It has a large fun pool with chutes, and is good for all the family. This place also has a 25 meter competition pool, which has produced olympic champions, so the pool is great for swimming training. I will also mention that this sports centre has a nice sized gym for all you fitness fanatics out there.

Negative experience: Spent 10 mins waiting behind a lady that had to go out to her car because she forgot her card, serve the next person and then, sorted the lifeguards parking. I had to leave.

Negative experience: Good slides and wave machine but the place is very dirty. Litter floating in the pool. Lifeguards looked miserable even the person serving in the cafe didn't really want to serve us. Very overcrowded and long waits to go on the slides.

Fantastic experience: We enjoyed very much with family. The waves were quite good. We found the place to be clean and less crowded in 4pm slot. We shall visit again.

Negative experience: While theres lots to do for kids. That is the only upside as the state of the poolside toilets were disgusting; we arrived for the first swim and found one toilet with dirty toilet roll all over and on the floor and the other was only slightly less disgusting. Once in the pool there were paper bands from the previous day still in the water and on the sides, dirty plasters floating around and the floor on the baby pool had the disgusting orange mould growing on it. We will not be visiting again when clearly any cleaning is not being done! For the price of swimming and paying for parking too the least they could do is clean!

Negative experience: I would not rate at all. They have ruined our celebration afternoon for our girls. Myself and another parent arranged to take 7 yr 6 girls as a treat after a tough week of sats exams to have a well deserved time together, having fun in the pool, a treat they had chosen. All arranged and paid for well in advance by all the girls individual parents. As we drove to the complex all super excited to get out and be told the session was cancelled, NO CALL TO SAY IT WASNT ON! So, we ended up with 7 very sad, disappointed young girls that have waited all week to enjoy the treat together. I am totally dissatisfied with this service, we have wasted our time and money for absolutely nothing!! AND WE HAVE TO EMAIL WATERMEADOWS FOR OUR MONEY BACK!! I WANT IT BACK ASAP!! and compensation to the girls would be appreciated as you ruined their day!!

Negative experience: Regrettably leaving a negative review after speaking to a rude manager this morning. Firstly I want to say that with the exception of one, all of the instructors my two girls have had have been good. A few of them exceptionally so. My oldest has been swimming with them for over a year now. Unfortunately, the management is terrible. Lately the constant swapping of instructors isn't good for the service we are paying for. This morning we turned up for a new session and the instructor didn't turn up. I went to get a refund for the session and the manager said there was an alternative instructor. There wasn't. Either it was move down a group or move up two groups. After asking why they have different stages and trying to explain we why moved to the different group, the bloke rudely cut me off and said let's not do this down here. 0 social or reasoning skills, clearly very unhappy that I didn't want to waste my time and money on a swimming lesson that would not teach my child anything. The toilets are often a state and the changing areas dirty. There's a constant smell of sewage. If swimming publicly, good luck trying to enjoy the place when it's busy. I understand they need to make money but sometimes there's just way too many people to do anything. It's a shame I've had to leave a negative review but I've been forced to do it due to the rudeness and refusal by management to listen or reason with me. I wonder if the constant changing of instructors, people dropping hours and new instructors starting could perhaps have something to do with that too? Hopefully someone who actually cares might see this and have a word because you'll be losing several customers

Negative experience: The changing room were discussing looked in several before we could get charged. The people who use them should take responsibility of moving their own rubbish and not leaving nappies and other things for the staff to remove. Come on people of Mansfield show abit of respect for other

Negative experience: My hair smells like chlorine 3 days after! I've washed it multiple times and the smell just won't come out. Standoffish miserable lifeguards, filthy changing and toilet area. I'm sure they have changed the deep end from 1.8 to 1.5 too. The queues for the slides were long and one you have to physically push yourself down! Clearly designed to be used with a mat. For the price and the fact that after an hour and a half you have to leave, I would definitely not recommend it. It's It's really not worth the hassle. I used to go here as child myself and loved it. Sadly not anymore :(

Positive experience: The pool itself is good for families, there are slides for children of all ages, as well as a wave machine and 'splash pad' which were fun. There are two main issues that let the place down, the first being cleanliness. The changing rooms were full of rubbish and were dirty, the floors were rank and you frequently had to play dodge the plaster in the pool. The second issue was overcrowding, we booked our slot and given, it was on a rainy Saturday so we expected it to be busy however it just felt like they'd crammed far to many people in to a small space. Maybe less people per time slot would mean the staff would have more time to clean. Not horrendous but could use some improvement.

Fantastic experience: Great swimming facility for leisure or training. Especially good for families and competiton swimmers. Book in advance, entry is quick, chaning is spotless and the slides are great fun. Top it all off a wave pool

Fantastic experience: Great family pool or lane swimming and very nice climbing zone suitable for all ages. Sufficient car park and close to the park and town centre. Good on a rainy day or during school holidays.

Negative experience: Tried again and wished I hadn’t. The swim was great and the splash area again was brilliant but this place keeps letting itself down with cleanliness. The floor in the changing room was vile and I mean vile. Hair, fluff, stickers, wristbands, smashed up cheesy watsits, the list was endless and you’ve got 8-10 staff sat on the wall near the training pool just chatting away whilst we’re all paddling in filth. It’s so basic I can’t get my head around why they can’t sort it out!

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, great gym

Positive experience: The parking is good free after 3pm the pool is excellent ,slides were good only downfall changing rooms and female toilets had a potent urine smell

Fantastic experience: New clip n climb really good.

Positive experience: Only went to the gym but its not as nice as the old gym was

Negative experience: Advertising the play centre as open online & all over the building. But it's been permanently closed, wasted journey.

Positive experience: Needs more changing rooms and there is a foul smell at the top of the slides
