We understand how intimidating it can be as a woman to step into the weights section of a commercial gym. That’s why we created our dedicated female only weights programme where women can train in a supportive environment without feeling watched or judged. Not only that but womens’ bodies don’t respond to training the same way mens’ do nor do men and women necessarily have the same goals. That’s why our programme is specifically designed with the female body in mind.
Looking for bang for your buck? HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training is the perfect way to increase fat burning and improve stamina when you’re short on time. Each 45 minute session combines bodyweight movements with weighted exercises to maximise your results.

Fantastic experience: Having been a member of local council gyms in the past, I was very familiar with that uncomfortable feeling you get being an older, overweight female just trying to get better. Just over a year ago I was introduced to OneTake Fitness by a friend who at the time was doing 2 or 3 sessions a week. I started off by joining boot camp and then I tried the female only weight sessions and loved every minute. Martin is very knowledgeable and has a great set up with a wide range of machines and weights available for every possible use. Workouts can be tailored to each person to help them achieve their full potential. I now train here 4 days a week and would recommend it anyone looking for a local, friendly gym to train.
Fantastic experience: I've joined quite a few mainstream gyms in the past (and then stopped going to not long after!) but this independent gym is just the best. Martin is an excellent trainer and can navigate around any injuries or medical conditions. I have MS and when I first started he understood that some things were harder for me to do and gave me alternatives. However, I am now so much stronger that I don't need those alternatives and I even go to some boot camp sessions as well. The other members are so encouraging and have become friends and I am proud to call them my "gym family". Working out is hard but fun and so rewarding - love getting those PBs!!! The regular change of workouts makes it interesting. If you're looking for a friendly no nonsense gym this is the place for you.
Fantastic experience: I absolutely love training at OneTake Fitness. I’ve trained in commercial gyms previously where you were made to feel uncomfortable or intimidated by other gym users. Love the fact that this is a safe space and I’m part of a community that supports and celebrates each other. Although it’s a small private training facility the range of equipment is outstanding. 100% recommend!
