Burn It Fitness: Opinions
Negative experience: I signed up for an 8-week, non-renewing fitness program with Burn It Fitness, but they continued to charge my account for months after it ended. They claimed I agreed to a new 24-week membership, which I never did. When I asked for proof, they couldn't provide any valid documentation. Even their own system shows my contract was not set to auto-renew. Despite reaching out multiple times, their customer service was dismissive and refused to issue a refund for these unauthorized charges. I've now had to escalate this issue legally. I would strongly advise against joining this gym—make sure to monitor your bank statements closely if you do!
Positive experience: The personal trainers and the collective team effort is great. The ads talk about programs for 40+ which i think the routine is catered to, I (in my early 30s) couldnt maximize the benefits as the programs on team training could not be customized, slightly on the pricey end as well.

Fantastic experience: I am in Week 6 of the Foundation Programme and I have to say it has been brilliant and I will be continuing with Burn It Fitness. I have never done circuits or strength training before but realised I needed to do something to see me through middle age in good health! A friend encouraged me to try it, so I signed up and gave it a go. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it and how fast I could see improvement. The studio gym sessions are a really good way to develop your strength in targeted ways, while the outdoor circuits sessions on the heath are challenging and exhilarating. All of the trainers are knowledgeable and friendly - I have learned something from all of them. I really recommend trying Burn It Fitness.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Burn It Fitness highly enough having worked out with them on and off for many years. Louise, Gareth and Andi are all about delivering individualised training to their clients and they are great at motivating their clients and ensuring they achieve their goals. The whole team of trainers are very knowledgeable and super friendly; workouts are never the same and therefore, really push you to work hard and progress but most importantly, they are delivered in a fun way and will make do wonders for both your physical and mental health. The timetable is reviewed regularly to ensure a good variety of classes at different times of the day across the week and new classes are introduced regularly to take into account members' needs and wishes. Burn lt Fitness is such an asset for the local community and you will not regret signing up.

Fantastic experience: I've been enrolled on their Group Personal Training sessions for a while now and had an amazing experience. The sessions are challenging but fun, and the training programme is personalised to each individual (and varies each training cycle). The trainers do focus on your form and posture, and know when to push you harder or back off.

Fantastic experience: For me, exercise has always been something I’ve felt like I needed to do, regardless of enjoying it or seeing the results I wanted. When I found Burn It and started with Group PT it breathed life back into a lacklustre routine that I was moving through without results. Since being at Burn It my motivation has increased, I’ve never lifted more in my life (yes, including my luggage for a two week holiday) and found a haven for me to excel and enjoy staying fit. I can’t wait to continue the journey I’ve started on and I’m excited to smash more goals and high five the friendly faces that have become friends. Got to be on it, to burn it!

Negative experience: Beware of the the T&C's. I attended 2 sessions, sustained an injury from the prescribed routine and wanted to get cancel my contract but was not allowed to without paying a big cancellation fee.

Fantastic experience: I love burn it fitness. For me it is not just the exercise (that is great they know what they are doing) it's the social. Had a bad day turn up and somebody will be there to chat and have a laugh with. Everyone is friendly trainers and clients.

Fantastic experience: I am not a person that enjoys exercising at all or ever so joining burn it was a big step for me, and I have to say even though its hard, is totally worth it! i feel stronger, more flexible and don’t sound like an old lady everything i stand up from my desk I am definitely seeing results after 2 months, I love that the PT sessions are only 4 people tops the personal trainer has a chance to assess every excessive that i make and suggests improvements were needed. The online sessions are great for me to help me stretch and allow the muscles to heal they offer yoga and nutricional consultation, after my 2 months i have decided to continue with the subscription because i think is well worth it!

Fantastic experience: Following many years of considering myself as naturally fit (despite not doing any form of exercise, bar taking the dog for a walk!), I suddenly found myself in my mid 40’s, two stone heavier with some unsightly bulges popping over my jeans. On top of the physical changes, I noticed that my fitness level was almost non existent, I had no energy and to be frank…. I had lost my sparkle. A friend spent a year or so trying to persuade me to join Burn It. Like many people who have avoided doing any form of fitness, the idea of actually doing something like this was daunting to say the least! I finally caved and eventually put the call in to Burn It. Roll on… two years later, I can honestly say this was one of the best life decisions I have ever made. I signed up to the Group Personal Training sessions which are based in the studio at Blackheath Standard. The trainers are all outstanding. Programmes are individual and despite being in a small group you work to your own pace and ability. I started with just one session a week, I now attend three times a week and the results have been incredible. I’ve become stronger, fitter and slimmer… and I finally got my sparkle back :) I highly recommend the Burn It journey - it’s been life changing.

Fantastic experience: Great team and great energy! Love the sessions on the heath and come rain or shine the trainers always make it fun, whether it’s circuits, strength or boxercise, the banter keeps us all going! Combined with sessions in their well equipped studio gym at the Standard, I’ve also seen great results in less than 4 months, one stone lost and stronger and leaner. Fantastic experience: Recently completed the Team Training 1-month intro and will definitely be staying on. The trainers are great, approachable and have have kept me motivated enough to keep plugging away through November/December. Never before have I got myself out of bed for a gym session at 6:30am... especially not outside in the snow! Looking forward to starting the Intensity Challenge in January.

Fantastic experience: I started with the four weeks of Intensity and it's safe to say it has changed my life. I didn't know that fitness could be so much fun! The support given is second to none and the experience left me, fitter, healthier and with a new mindset. The trainers are really knowledgeable, accommodating and do their best to put you at ease. Fantastic experience: Just finishing four weeks of Intensity! A great way to kick start a new approach to exercise and life. Small group mentoring and added input on nutrition and making the most of training options on offer together with the support of other Intensity members has made this SO worthwhile. Definite changes to bodyweight, strength, body shape, attitude and self esteem - what's not to like. My message if you are thinking about Intensity - just do it!

Fantastic experience: The trainers and group PT sessions at Burn It Fitness are excellent. The sessions are flexible which helps you book in around your schedule and I’ve found that doing the sessions with others helps spur me on to working even harder, while still getting one to one help when I need it. There is a real sense of community and lots of events outside of the core programmes - which makes it easier to stay committed, especially for those who might have found it difficult to stick with an exercise regime in the past. I can highly recommend signing up for a trial.

I don’t have enough words to describe the impact Burn It Fitness made in my life in a few months. I’ve travelled around the world and I’m part of a huge spiritual community with millions of members but I never experienced anything like what they created at BIF. From the moment I sat on my first video call with Gareth all the way through my last session, I have felt nothing but love, support and appreciation. They care and you can tell.
Fantastic experience: I enquired, I joined, I enjoy-ed and now I am staying for the long run!! The whole team I’ve met and trained with are the most amazing people I’ve met from Andy, Gareth, Louise all the way to Molly, Leoni, Lexie and Jeff! Cannot find a more supportive, motivating and dedicated fitness team! I recently joined Burn It Fitness after seeing an Instagram advert about working out on the heath. I filled out their application and had an informal chat over zoom to see what I would get out of Burn It and the different packages available. I then decided during the meeting that I wanted to join their June Intensity 28 day challenge. Initially, I was very nervous, not at my fittest, skeptical if I'd commit and actually scared of being judged like you do in gyms. However, my first session was a boxing session and for someone who never had done any boxing before I felt so welcomed (even though I was a couple of minutes late) and the other clients as well as the coach were teaching and motivating me which made me feel as though I was apart the team and encouraged to keep coming along to the sessions. During my Intensity Challenge, I was given a coach to set my goals, have check-ins with, a nutritionist who gave me excellent education into how my calorie intake worked, how different hormones interacted with the process of loosing weight and what healthy alternatives (high in protein low in cal) were available and moreover a workout pack that had all the details, tips and mindset tasks to keep me engaged and involved throughout my 28 days. Post my Intensity 28 day challenge, Burn It Fitness has provided me with a routine to workout and maintain the changes I can see in my life. So if you live near the heath and want to kickstart your workout routine like myself or just want an amazing team to help you train look no further and join the amazing community at Burn It Fitness!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Burn It Fitness outdoor classes for almost 2 years now and I cant imagine not going! The trainers are so welcoming, expert and immensely helpful. The classes vary each time and there is never anything that gets in the way - snow, wind, rain and sun! Mud, sand and horseflies! We train in it all and it is so much fun! The other members are also welcoming, friendly and supportive and I have made some great friends. I have also done 3 28 day intensity boot camps - so much fun, hard work, but ultimately very satisfying and they change you! If you want a new fitness regime and you enjoy being outdoors then these outdoors classes are the best!
Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough of Burn It Fitness and the team there. I joined as a complete novice to gyms and with no general fitness to speak of. They made me so welcome from day one and really invest in your personal experience. I started out doing the 28 Intensity Bootcamp in January and while it was cold, it was excellent and really gave my fitness a much needed boost. It didn't matter how much you could do (or not!) but all the sessions were about improving your own levels. I've now carried on with the indoor Group Personal Training sessions and almost 6 months in I'm a total convert! I now look forward to training and have muscle definition in my arms for the first time in my adult life :D If you are considering joining my advice is go for it. You won't find a more welcoming, lovely group of people to work out with.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to outdoor group training with burnit for many years. They offer many different styles of training and there is something on offer for everyone. They are friendly and professional in their approach and classes are always different, dynamic and fun! Would highly recommend giving it a go!

Fantastic experience: Burn It Fitness are ace! Their Bootcamps are super well organised and well thought through and everyone who puts in the effort achieves incredible results. Their group PT and general outdoor classes are also great- the trainers really take the time to listen to what you enjoy/ don't enjoy and they push you to achieve results but in a very supportive way. This is also a great way to make friends and meet new people who like fitness but also want to have fun. As someone who never liked exercise, Burn It have helped me love it, which was no easy task.

I would encourage you to check it out and the reason..... If you are looking for a place where they care about your overall fitness, mind, body (in and out) and your well being. This is the place to join. They consistently innovate to cater for the variety of needs, while retaining their stable programs, such as the Group Personal training limited to four people in a class, the outdoor classes, bootcamp, regular fitness reviews, regular workout programs and a whole lot more. Also, they have online classes, instructions on how to ensure your posture is great while working out to ensure u gain maximum benefit of your workout, yoga, mobility...the list is endless. Fantastic experience: I had my first exercise class in a very long time last Saturday and loved every moment of it. I did the Boxing Blast class and have to say the positive and genuine encouragement from the trainer made the class good fun and fly by as well as being a fantastic workout. Really recommended.

Fantastic experience: I joined Burn It Fitness 18 months ago to try and improve by general levels of cardio fitness, to try and loose a growing tyre around my waist and to generally improve the flexibility of my 65 year old frame. In that time with 2 sessions of group PT a week at the studio. supplemented by some regular walking and eating a corrected diet, I have dropped 3 inches from my waist, lost the tyre, toned up to where I wanted to be and dropped had a stone in weight again to where I wanted to be. It takes time and effort but also encouragement and I have found working with the Group PT guys to be exactly what I needed. Would thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I joined Burn It classes for mums when my baby was about 10 weeks old and I never looked back! The combination of very friendly and experienced trainers, the fact that I can bring my baby with me and a great bunch of other mums attending classes makes me actually look forward to each class!

Fantastic experience: Joined Burn it fitness when me and my husband returned to London after a long stint overseas. As Burn it was on our doorstop we decided to join and absolutely loved it. Staff are professional, there is a real sense of family and burn it community. Training was excellent, and my favourite was Chanel. Had to stop for health reasons but am planning to re-join soon. A great place to get really fit, irrespective of your level, meet some lovely people and make friends. Definitely worth joining.

Fantastic experience: The team at burn it fitness are fantastic. It was so easy to join unlike larger gyms and it is a very personal experience. Having a 2 month old baby working out is usually furthest from you let mind. However, Vibha was great in booking in a trial session and lock in future bookings for me. I tried it for a month and now I'm hooked! Sara, Louise and their team genuinely care about supporting you and helping you to getting fit and feel great. The trainers are friendly and supportive; pushing you to try harder. It is so reassuring to have my baby girl right there with me rather than in a crèche. She loves the music and bouncers. She gets plenty of snuggles from the trainers when needed. It's a great mums class with like minded people and can't recommend it highly enough.
Fantastic experience: As a guy who pushes limits in competitive events, expeditions and travelling I'm able to selectively choose which class type suits my requirements i.e. running, power, cardio, etc. Class times are also very good fit with my busy schedule. With all the trainers having expertise beyond mine they are an excellent source to quickly get where you need. In my experience of other fitness companies, pricing is slightly on the higher side but results are quick and tangible utilising all benefits membership has to offer. Beyond membership there's good optional extras including focused training, which I've seen other members benefit from, getting even quicker results than classes. Fitness for me is about training, recovery and nutrition. Burn It does it all very well in a friendly and sociable environment.
Fantastic experience: Highly recommend BurnIt. They moved me from loathing formal fitness to looking forward to a 6am class come sunshine or hail; from being able to walk anywhere but not run around the block to regular 10kms plus the odd half marathon. The outdoor classes are fantastic, varied and with a really good team spirit (tough, competitive but fun). Recently I've added the small group PT sessions indoors and can really feel the difference.
