Our comment from FitFit UK about The Gauntlet Fight Academy:
The Gauntlet Fight Academy, located in London, is a premier martial arts training facility known for its supportive and inclusive environment. Here, you can experience a wide range of disciplines, including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, boxing, and wrestling, all taught by highly qualified and passionate instructors.
Members often highlight the academy's:
- Welcoming community: Newcomers are embraced, creating a feel-good atmosphere where everyone can thrive.

Nonetheless, the overwhelming consensus is that this is a fantastic place to learn martial arts, make friends, and improve not just skills, but also overall well-being.

The Gauntlet Fight Academy: Opinions
Negative experience: Wrestling 1 Cold 2 it feels like the trainer is not interested in his job at all and doesn't really want to communicate with you
Fantastic experience: I’ve been training here almost a year now and even having moved from West London to South London hasn’t deterred me from coming. Coaches are super supportive, everyone is so inclusive and patient and you never feel judgement. There’s a huge female presence too which made the whole initial learning curve more comfortable.
Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Gauntlet Fight Academy enough! As a shy individual, I was initially nervous about joining, but from the very first day, the members and coaches have been incredibly welcoming and supportive. This is the first gym where I’ve truly felt like I belong and found a safe space to learn martial arts. Unlike other gyms I’ve tried in the past, where I often felt left out as a beginner or overwhelmed in male-dominated spaces, Gauntlet has been a completely different experience. There’s a wonderful mix of people here, including many strong, supportive women who have made training an enjoyable and inclusive experience. The variety of martial arts offered is another huge plus, and every coach is not only highly skilled but also approachable and dedicated to helping you improve at your own pace. On top of that, the yoga classes here are an incredible bonus, offering a perfect balance to the intensity of the martial arts training. Whether you’re new to martial arts or experienced, Gauntlet Fight Academy is a fantastic place to grow, learn, and feel part of a supportive community. I’m so grateful to have found it!
Fantastic experience: Amazing gym. Amazing coaches. Been training here for the past year
Fantastic experience: This is hands down the best gym in London. With excellent trainers such as wali, mike, Matt and many others. I am very pleased to be a part of this family. All thanks to the wonderful receptionist team of vicky and diane who took care of me on the onboarding and taster sessions. I am very grateful and proud to be taught at such a high level. Incredibly beginner friendly aswell as you dont even need any equipment on your taster session.
Fantastic experience: Simply more than just an MMA academy: - Friendly and qualified instructors. - One of the most successful BJJ teams in England. - One of the fastest growing Muay Thai teams in London. - A mat space that is second only to the larger leisure centres. - A remarkable dedication to cleanliness and hygiene. - An amazing blend of people and cultures. - Very friendly to all experience levels and ladies. A place to find friends and make new ones. Basically a second family.
Fantastic experience: You want to learn some serious discipline? Want to better your self in any way possible? Then this place is where you belong! Trust me I found my self here 1month ago…and yes some may think ahhh it’s a short period of time…..BUT in that small space of time there’s a lot I’ve seen that I just knew this place is where I belong!
Fantastic experience: I’ve only been going there for a month but I can say that it’s a good mma club and teaches martials In a way that’s enjoyable which makes me want to go there more but on top of that they’re really good at teaching martial arts in general
Fantastic experience: Great classes , good space , well managed. Really enjoying my BJJ classes there the all team is amazing. A little second home right there
Fantastic experience: An amazing gym with, friendly environment, super clean, and great coaches! Best gym in London!!!
Fantastic experience: Very high quality instructors and I enjoy my time training there. Excellent environment for learning
Fantastic experience: Amazing facilities and the cleanest fight gym in London hands down.
Negative experience: rats upstairs
Hi Adam. Please could you contact our reception to discuss your review. We are not aware of any such issue in our academy, and our public upstairs area is a small, clean, matted area so we cannot imagine where rats would be present and it is certainly not something that has ever been brought to our attention. We are well known for our cleanliness and hygiene, therefore, if this is genuine we would like to be made aware of it and would appreciate the opportunity to resolve the issue. Thank you.
Fantastic experience: Really nice vibe and a great introduction for people new to the sport.
Fantastic experience: Been training here for 3 years now and can't imagine training anywhere else. The teaching is world class and all the coaches are true masters of their art. I predominantly train BJJ, have been taken from white to blue belt here and am very grateful for the skills I have been taught. The greatest thing about this gym though is the community. Everyone here is very welcoming and friendly and I have met some very good people throughout my time training at the academy. If you are thinking of joining a gym to learn martial arts you cannot get better than the gauntlet. OSS!
Negative experience: Disappointing that u have to wear there uniform for grappling classes. Even as a visitor
Fantastic experience: I've been training in BJJ Gi and No Gi at Gauntlet Fight Academy for a few months now, and I absolutely love it! The academy offers a variety of martial arts classes, including boxing, Muay Thai, and yoga, all at a convenient location easily accessible by car and public transport. The environment is incredibly welcoming, clean, and safe. The instructors and fellow students are friendly, supportive, and great to spar with. After completing the beginner's course, I was convinced to sign up, and I'm thrilled I did! The flexible class schedule allows me to attend multiple sessions per week at an affordable price. If you're interested in trying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or any other martial art, Gauntlet Fight Academy is a must-try! The affordable pricing and top-notch training make it the perfect place to start or continue your martial arts journey.
Negative experience: The only thing that is being respected is the extortionate prices for not being able to access a class. Oh and are you thinking about cancelling your membership. Well they never answer the phone but if you cancel you direct debit they'll haunt youbtill your grave till you pay them every single penny you owe. This gym is a farce the instructors and actual classes are great but it's pointless if you can never get spaces to any of their classes when booking through their app or if you're like me and your circumstances change even if you pay your 3 months and try call them to cancel while having to leave the country for an emergency they'll still try charge you 170 something pounds for cancelling the direct debit wow don't you just love the respect they give you.
Fantastic experience: very good clean place
Negative experience: I went for a trial class and enjoyed my time for BJJ No Gi however after signing up and paying for membership I was only then made aware that I had extra expenses to pay in order to attend the class in the form of buying the rashguard. I went in the next day to test the waters and it turns out they were very strict on this policy. I know this could of been a mistake that the rules where not properly explained to me before purchase of my membership but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth, Fortunately they were happy enought to cancel my direct debit but refused to refund the £100 or so I payed for the intial month which I'm not too happy about. Finally I would like to reiterate that my experience of the class was great and going in to it if the extra expenses were clearly explained to me before the purchase I would of had no problem with it and could make a informed decision but they way thing panned out I had a bad time with this business.
Fantastic experience: I went for one Muay Thai class last week, and I found the gym very clean and the teacher very professional. Definitely recommended
Fantastic experience: Top London gym Awesome Hard-core training 10/10
Negative experience: The worst club ever. Not only not provide the service you advertise but also doesn't let ppl go and blackmailing with a solicitor. DISGUSTING
Dear Konstacja, please rest assured that you are no longer a member of our Academy. The procedure for cancellation was clearly explained to you upon signing up, and as far as we are aware you have not made any contact with us to inform us of your wish to cancel, or of any dissatisfaction you may have had with our services. You state that we do not provide the service we advertise, however we have a full timetable of classes and your membership card is still in reception and remains uncollected since your first visit, so we find it difficult to imagine what your complaint may be, as you have not attended. In any case, we would appreciate the courtesy of you addressing your concerns with our team in the Academy, as our team are always on hand to help, before leaving aggressive and misleading Google reviews. To be clear no one has a threatened you with a solicitor, or has prevented you from leaving, you simply have not followed the process to cancel your membership. We wish you the best with your future endeavors.
Fantastic experience: The Muay Thai Coach Samy 10/10 Great Class
Fantastic experience: Great place and amazing instructors. Aviana at the reception is always helpful. Neto and Georgie are great too.
Fantastic experience: The Gauntlet Fight Academy shines as a comprehensive fitness haven, offering a diverse array of sessions and classes. Whether you're passionate about MMA, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, or boxing, this gym has you covered. The specialized instructors bring a wealth of experience, ensuring you receive top-tier training in each discipline. The MMA sessions are dynamic, integrating striking and grappling techniques seamlessly. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes focus on ground mastery, fostering both technical finesse and strategic thinking. Muay Thai enthusiasts can hone their striking skills through expert-led sessions, while boxing classes deliver precision and power training. Beyond these core disciplines, the Gauntlet Fight Academy extends its excellence to many more sessions, ensuring members can explore various martial arts and fitness routines. The variety of classes not only keeps workouts exciting but also caters to individuals with diverse interests and goals. The commitment to providing well-rounded training makes this gym a standout destination for anyone looking to elevate their skills across multiple disciplines.
Fantastic experience: I joined The Gauntlet Fight Academy in January (2022), around 10 months ago, and I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made in my life. It has helped me both physically and mentally. Aged 23, and with no Martial Arts background I was fairly nervous about getting started but I was very welcomed into the gym by Hamza and soon my nerves were gone thanks to the community atmosphere that the gym provides. I have since progressed massively on my Martial Arts journey with the help of the professors and coaches. What I really like about the gym and what helped me (especially when I was starting out) is that the coaches are very helpful and will take time with you if you need it. However, when necessary, they will also be sure to give you that extra shove to keep you progressing. For me it is a perfect balance. I feel this has been one of the key points as to why I have been able to reach the milestones I have within the gym and not feel so overwhelmed whilst training. The gyms community feel is great and you never feel as if you are looked down upon as a beginner. It’s actually quite to opposite, you feel as if all of the team want to help you and want to see you succeed. Grappling is my favoured art and so I do really enjoy the Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling. I do, from time to time, do Boxing, Muay Thai and MMA. All the classes I attend are really well structured and we are blessed by all of the coaches being world class athletes within their specialty. There are many coaches from all around the world and so you can learn a lot from many different view points during training. One of my favourite things about the gym is the ability to train so many different martial arts all under one roof, all under one membership and not at a ridiculous price. Being available all under one membership means you are able to adjust your training schedule to your work/life balance. For somebody like myself, with 2 kids and a full time job, this is an amazing perk that the gym has to offer. Just to add, the gym has good changing rooms, showers and lockers. I’ve also left my gum shield and bracelet there a few times and it’s always been returned to me safely. The gym is also very clean and maintained well which is a must have when considering a martial arts gym, especially a grappling one. If you are looking to begin your martial arts journey or you are experienced I would recommend this gym. There are a lot of skilled members and the professors and coaches are very skilled and have a lot to offer to all.
Fantastic experience: If you wanna learn to fight , this is the best place you will find , Amazing coaches who are experts at what they do , my kids have been training in Bjj now for 4 years and the improvement in that time is amazing and they love it and have gained great confidence along the way , it is a professional environment, where they learn respect above all. Neto and Georgie who run the place make you feel extremely welcome and all the team are super nice highly recommend ❤️
Fantastic experience: I'm thrilled with the positive impact Gauntlet has had on both my daughter and son. The dedicated coaches foster a supportive and respectful environment, guiding them on their journeys from beginners. This has not only instilled a sense of discipline and determination but also developed valuable life skills. I express my gratitude to Gauntlet for being a place where my children not only learn jiu-jitsu but also grow as individuals.
Fantastic experience: I warn you; if you start here you're not leaving. Because this is the Mecca of Combat. It's home now.
Fantastic experience: They say in their logo (respect above all) And oh man they do honour that ! Very respectful coaches and staff . I have signed up two of my kids right away and been going now for two weeks now and I’m loving it . Hopefully I can sign up the 5 yo soon. Thanks to the amazing team 10 out of 10
Fantastic experience: The Gauntlet is a very friendly martial arts academy and gym. They offer Muay Thai, BJJ, wrestling classes at very affordable prices and in a respectful and caring environment. I'm new to the country and I've been practicing there for 2 months and I've always felt not only welcome, but also appreciated. They have done a great job creating a safe space to train martial arts
Fantastic experience: I joined this Fight Academy 2 months ago to train BJJ and Kick Boxing. All I can say is how fantastic the team and the people have been, everyone is so welcoming, kind, and most importantly respectful. Every coach that is there you can see have a passion for what they are doing and only want the best for you weather your training to one day compete or just training the discipline of your choice. Another key factor is how reasonably priced it is from the rest of the dojo/fight academies that are out there and I'm telling you it's worth every penny. I hope soon to upgrade my membership for more lessons because addicted. ❤️☺️
Fantastic experience: An excellent martial arts school with brilliant coaches.. Bjj, mma, thia boxing, boxing and wrestling..
Fantastic experience: I've been a member of this fight gym for a few months now, and I wanted to share my thoughts on the experience. One of the things I really appreciate is the flexibility to attend multiple sessions in a single day. It's perfect for those of us who want to make the most of our training time and extract value for money from the monthly membership fee. Whether you're an early bird or prefer evening workouts, the gym's schedule accommodates all kinds of routines. Another standout aspect is their approach to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). There's a strong emphasis on respect and camaraderie during BJJ classes. Instructors not only focus on the techniques but also foster an environment where everyone feels welcome and supported. It's refreshing to see a gym prioritize the values of martial arts beyond just the physical aspect. The Muay Thai sessions here are intense, to say the least. The trainers push you to your limits, helping you build both physical and mental strength. It's not for the faint of heart, but the feeling of accomplishment afterward is truly rewarding. Sparring is also an option for those who want to apply their experience practically. What sets this gym apart is the variety it offers. In addition to BJJ and Muay Thai, they also provide wrestling and boxing classes. This diversity allows members to explore different disciplines and find what resonates with them the most. All in all, if you're looking for a gym that offers flexibility, emphasizes respect, and provides a range of intense training options, this is definitely worth considering. It's been a positive experience for me, and I think anyone interested in martial arts would find value in what this gym has to offer.
Fantastic experience: amazing gym with amazing coaches, I really like how they give importance to hygiene.
Fantastic experience: Great space for all forms of MMA! Friendly staff, very knowledgeable teachers and welcoming students. If you’re looking for a new martial arts studio, don’t hesitate to check this one out
Fantastic experience: Excellent place to train martial arts I’ve been to a couple of different places before and I must say this one is the best
Fantastic experience: Amazing coaches, welcoming environment and clean spacious facilities. I have started my jiu jitsu journey quite recently, but the group classes along with light sparring make it very fun and engaging. A lot of other martial arts to choose from as well. Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: I’ve only just started at the Academy and have enjoyed the experience so far. Everyone is welcoming and eager to help with any queries or concerns. As a beginner, I was nervous about starting bjj but with clear instruction from trainers and good assistance all round, the experience has been great. I’d like to say a special thank you to Hamzah on reception - I had a last minute request recently which he was nice enough to accommodate.
Fantastic experience: Amazing. My kids have been learning Jiu-jitsu here for a year and a half we love it. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and are like family. They also have a large mat with plenty of space.
Fantastic experience: My two boys love their BJJ classes here and have just tried wrestling with a great coach for the first time recently which they also really enjoyed. They have been attending for about 2 years now and their passion for training is growing exponentially and this is down to all the coaches at the Gauntlet. Very family friendly, coaches are brilliant at instilling confidence in the youth. Really well organised events, staff are professional, welcoming. I’ve seen both my boys come leaps and bounds in terms of skill and confidence and last but not least fun! The facilities are clean and the timetable is bursting with different things to try and it’s great value for money in our opinion. Overall couldn’t recommend it enough get yourself down for a taster session you won’t regret it. Wanted to also give a special shout out to Hamza who is always so patient and supportive of the kids, he puts his heart in to his job and it shows, which seems to be the Gauntlet way. Thanks guys for all your hard work.
Positive experience: Great gym, the Coaches are fantastic at pushing you to your limits. The facilities are very clean and tidy and everyone is very welcoming. One improvement that could be made is a air conditioning unit because in the summer months it can be quite uncomfortable. Besides that I am very happy!
Fantastic experience: one of the best fight Academy In London !
Fantastic experience: My home away from home! The timetable is packed with a variety of classes to choose from (I do Muay Thai, as well as MMA and yoga, and the occasional boxing session). All the coaches are so knowledgeable and supportive, and provide you with skills and an awesome workout every time. The environment amongst staff and members alike is incredibly welcoming. 10/10 would recommend!
Fantastic experience: Do yourself a favour and get yourself signed up here! An extremely friendly, knowledgeable team who maintain a spotless gym. All skill levels are catered for and while I only train BJJ, it’s nice to have the option to try other disciplines. Above all, it’s fun and safe! 5 stars in every aspect.
Thanks so much for your kind words Padraig! It’s awesome to have you with us
Fantastic experience: Lovely gym with friendly staff, especially Georgie who makes a real effort to make everyone feel welcome. Neto is extremely knowledgeable in bjj and Mike is well adverse in MMA, plus being just an all round very nice guy. It has a growing women's squad and has always been accommodating if anyone needs help. Unfortunately a little too far for me for my permanent gym however if you're in the area I'd honestly say this is the place you should be training.
Thank you so much for your kind words Louise! We’re delighted you enjoyed your visit, please come by again any time you’re in the area!
Fantastic experience: Beautiful and clean academy with amazing knowledge of Jiu Jiu-jítsu. Osss
Fantastic experience: I was anxious to start training however after my first session I was relieved, the environment at the gym is open and friendly, Matt is a great trainer and everyone there is really nice, deffo recommend!
Thank you for your kind words, we’re really glad you’re enjoying your training with us!
Fantastic experience: Great place, amazing members and great instructors!
Fantastic experience: The best academy ever love it. The coaches are remarkable.highly professional. The environment are very friendly enormous respect you gain.
Hi Aladdin, Thanks so much for your kind words and positive feedback - we're so happy you're enjoying your time training at the Academy!
Fantastic experience: Great gym and a great atmosphere. Out of all the MMA gyms I have trained at by far the best. Thank you to the team!
Fantastic experience: I had a great experience here an amazing 5 years training with Coaches and Students at GFA, I had started 5 years ago at age 15 where with Sami, Muay Thai Coach, I grew and developed as both person and fighter along with the help of Neto, Head Jiu Jitsu coach. What I will say is if you are just starting out this is a place you should check out most definitely and think about it is a great community and family, although I am now venturing to see more styles and I am opening a new chapter in my life. But regardless it is a very respectful environment and I have loved every moment of it. Oss
Fantastic experience: Excellent
Thank you Joyce! Glad you're enjoying your experience!
Fantastic experience: Our son has been attending for a year now and we are very happy with the team and wanted to say a special thank you to Hamza who provides exceptional service and is always super attentive to kids and parents. Hamza is outstanding and he always makes us feel welcome and looks after everyone.
Negative experience: The Gauntlet Fight Academy advertises itself as a martial arts gym offering classes for multiple disciplines of fighting. This is absolutely not the case. This is a BJJ gym masquerading as an MMA gym. Before I go on, let me say this: if you are wanting to train BJJ then this place will be excellent for you. The BJJ team often competes and they are well looked after by the owner (who is also the head BJJ coach). If you want to train muay thai, this is a different story. Whether you are a beginner whose never thrown a kick, or a seasoned fighter who is looking to remain active, this gym is probably not for you. Consider the following points. There is a pretty severe lack of equipment. No proper thai pads, just rdx pads which are clunky and awkward to hold. We also don’t have belly pads or skip ropes. Every muay thai gym I’ve trained at prior to this have had all the above equipment. There is a lack of class structure. Most of the classes are mixed/all level classes. There are no beginners/fundamentals classes. This poses a few problems. First being that there never seems to be any purpose to each class. We are just punching and kicking pads for the sake of it. Second, people who are pure beginners often have to train with people who are very experienced. This might sound nice, but again, there are problems with this. The beginners are…well…beginners. They need time to develop their technique and pad holding. It is frustrating as someone who is experienced to constantly have to wonder if the person you partner with that evening will be able to hold pads. Third issue, no fundamentals class means beginners are not taught proper technique or pad holding. At my previous gym, the beginners classes only ever focused on kick and punch technique, and the fundamentals for holding pads. At GFA they make beginners throw 4-7 shot combos, and don’t teach them anything about technique or holding pads. Because of this, we have a lot of beginners who have trained for a while but have not progressed much at all. The coaches for muay thai are not active fighters. They had two coaches who were active but they have recently left the gym. The price for this gym is ridiculous. They offer three memberships: Bronze (£75 p/m, train two days a week), Silver (£90 p/m, train three days a week), Gold (£118 p/m, unlimited training). The membership perks allow you to use the gym facilities 7 days a week, but tbh their gym equipment is nothing special. Downstairs they have a single squat rack, a single smith machine and some weights. Upstairs they have a single treadmill, a few stationary bikes, and a row machine. You can’t even use the heavy bags, because the open mats are only during lunch time when everyone is at work and can’t make it (only the BJJ guys are special enough to get their OWN open mat on the weekends). Let’s compare these prices to other gyms. The price of a gymbox membership is about £90-115 depending on your package. This gives you access to all of team tieu’s fight classes, as well as access to a sauna, a load of other gym equipment and heavy bags. Not to mention all team tieu coaches are active. Shootfighters Academy offers different packages. You can pay £80 a month to get either unlimited striking classes OR unlimited BJJ/wrestling classes for the month. OR you could just pay £100 to get unlimited training regardless of discipline. Shootfighters has many active fights in Cage Warriors, Bellator and the UFC. Some of them are even coaches (MVP coaches the striking classes at Shootfighters in Alperton). The point I’m making is there are other gyms that will offer you better equipment, better quality of training and for a cheaper price. The muay thai classes at gauntlet feel more like an afterthought, especially when you compare them to the BJJ classes/structure. They get twice as many classes, better class structure, better times for training and overall better quality of training. All of the reasons I stated above are the reason I cancelled my membership and will probably be signing up to train at Shootfighters instead.
Dear Bobo, In response to your review we’d just like to clarify a few things about our memberships and facilities. Firstly, have never claimed to be an MMA or specialist Muay Thai academy. We offer a variety of training in modern martial arts (including mma, wrestling, boxing etc) and our most popular sessions are BJJ and Muay Thai. Our foundation is in BJJ so it is natural that we are strongest in this area and we’re proud of both our brilliant BJJ teaching and team and our Muay Thai team, many of whom have been enjoying training and some, competing at an interclub level with us for many years (Our 100+ five star reviews attest to this!). We definitely don’t masquerade as anything as we shout loud and proud about pretty much everything we do. We actually have 11 Muay Thai classes and 2 boxing classes throughout the week, and there is a Muay Thai class 7 days a week, so it is definitely not an afterthought. There are open mats for all disciplines every week day which are used by members throughout the week. There is a BJJ open mat on a Sunday, however there is no other BJJ class on a Sunday, whereas there is a Muay Thai class on both Saturdays and Sundays. You have also left a rather scathing review of our equipment. You mention we have a single treadmill and rowing machine and a few static bikes. You clearly have not used this facility we do not have, and never have had a treadmill. We actually have a great selection of cardio machines specially selected for high intensity cardio training for fighters, including a stair master, a grappler rope machine, an aero assault bike, two cross trainers, a bike, a versa climber, and a Ski Erg, and yes, a rowing machine. Our downstairs room also has Olympic bars, free weights, kettlebells, a huge multi function multi station smith machine, a hack squat and leg press machine amongst other equipment, so plenty for a great conditioning workout. We are continually investing in our equipment and are in the process of upgrading all our pads which have being specially made for us after supply chain issues getting pads from abroad after the pandemic. Our new heavy bags, new uppercut bag, speed balls and other equipment are all available for students to use during open mat sessions. There are a number of reasons why our members choose The Gauntlet, we’re welcoming, accessible for all, are family friendly, have a great community and great vibe. We’re a dedicated martial arts gym, not a commercial fitness gym or chain. All our coaches in every discipline have years of experience, some of them are active fighters and some are no longer fighting but have long records and have been champions in their fields. It’s important to recognise that being an active fighter doesn’t always make you a great coach. Leaving a review which is acrimonious, inaccurate and anonymous clearly doesn’t fit in with the values of our academy which is ‘Respect Above All’. If you are a real person, please feel free to come and discuss your concerns with us in person. We always try to take feedback on board and make improvements where we can. As you are choosing to pursue a Muay Thai career elsewhere, we wish you the best with that and hope you find the specialist training you’re looking for. I would encourage anyone else to come and check out our facilities and classes for yourself! Thanks, GFA TEAM
Fantastic experience: I started BJJ in January at Gauntlet and the coaches and members are incredibly talented and make you feel apart of a family. Prof Neto and Prof Silviu are amazing and have really brought on my skills and made it easy for me to be consistent by being great coaches. They have also been incredibly supportive to my family and I off the mats whilst my daughter is undergoing medical treatment. I’d encourage anyone to join this gym!
Fantastic experience: A fantastic atmosphere and a wonderful family. You will learn to multiple disciplines and your.well being change for the better
Fantastic experience: It's a welcoming place, everyone is respectful and nice. I recently started my journey in martial arts after long time I spent without doing any sport, and I find it easy to settle in. Highly recommended!! Hamza from the reception is the best!
Fantastic experience: My martial arts journey has just begun and I could not have found a better gym and community to embark on this journey with. I HIGHLY recommend GFA to anyone who’s considering joining an MMA gym or training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. GFA’s impact on my life has been truly invaluable. All of the coaches I’ve trained with have been of an impeccable standard, the equipment is fantastic and clean, as are the general facilities (changing rooms etc). The GFA community feels like a family away from home. My experience: As a woman who is new to this world of martial arts, I shared my anxiety with some of the GFA staff and some of the ladies I met at GFA. I had anxiety about being terribly out of my comfort zone (starting something new and foreign to me) as well as some anxiety about being a woman practicing martial arts. The support I received in return from the GFA team, including group of GFA ladies I bonded with (over gruelling yet exhilarating trainings) was unlike anything I have experienced. In no time, any anxiety I had about joining or being a woman on the mat melted away and GFA has become my new comfort zone. I found that in those early days, the coaches were very perceptive to my unease as a newbie and went out of their way to make me comfortable in training every time I stepped on the mat. Over my past almost 5 months of training, every training partner I’ve had has been very respectful. This is testament to how the GFA community imbues the motto of the gym - Respect Above All.
Fantastic experience: Been training here since the pandemic of 2019. It’s a great place to learn BJJ, Muay Thai, boxing, Self defence or just get fit as a fiddle. The Professors and coaches are champions in their own fields and great teachers. Lots of high level BJJ fighters keep coming in as guest instructors as well. The team and the vibe is really friendly among students. A great place to train, learn and make friends for hobbyists and serious competitors alike.
Fantastic experience: I can’t find the words to express my gratitude for Gauntlet, especially the professors & coaches. I feel incredibly privileged to train and learn amongst such amazing people.
Fantastic experience: The best academy in London! From day one every single member of staff and coaches have been amazing. If you looking to start Martial Arts and specially BJJ this is your place, everyone is welcoming and grateful sharing the same passion. I’m so grateful to have found this place.
Fantastic experience: I've been training here for around 2 months now, and so far my experience far exceeded my expectations. This place is therapeutic for someone like me. The coaches have been nothing but helpful and the atmosphere is very friendly. So far I'm training in Brazilian Jujitsu (BJJ), Muay Thai and Boxing, however I'm planning on getting into MMA soon as well. Can't recommend this place enough! Thank you for this experience and I'm hoping to continue training here for as long as this place lasts! Edit: I’m nearly 2 years in, and Gauntlet just keeps getting better and better as the time goes by; the environment as a whole, the students, friendships and the coaches are top class. I’ve been more into Muay Thai than anything the past few months and I definitely see myself improving and becoming stronger! I am now one of the assistant coaches for the Saturday family Muay Thai class :) I’m more than proud to call this place my home away from home
Thank you Meera! We love having you in the team!
Fantastic experience: Friendly club. Loads of classes so can fit well into personal life. Top quality students and coaches
Fantastic experience: Neto along with the rest of the coaches bring a wealth of both experience & knowledge to the structured sessions while creating a great, family like atmosphere to help support your training. Whether you’re looking to start your Jiu Jitsu Journey as a starter or are a seasoned grappler looking to get serious competition rounds in, I could not recommend this gym enough! Shout out to Hamza at reception who is always helpful and happy to help also.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience, Well equipped gym and martial arts area, great coaches, perfect customer service from Hamzah. 11/10!
Hi Milosz, Thank you for your kind words! We are very happy to hear of your positive experience.
Fantastic experience: Being an obese guy I had my reservations but this gym is brilliant. Your first two sessions are away from class to learn the basics so you don't hurt yourself and have a base line. All profs are brilliant, they work through everything with you and show faults in techniques for improvement. Everyone in all my classes since has been respectful, motivational and helpful. I can't recommend this gym enough! It can be hard to get the fitness for this but after a month going twice a week I've noticed a huge improvement in fitness and weight loss.
Hi Nicholas, We are so glad you enjoyed our services. Thank you for the positive review!
Fantastic experience: I attended the first women's self defence session at the academy. The teachers were really welcoming and encouraging and I learnt alot. Fantastic scheme.
Fantastic experience: Couldn't recommend enough! Coaches are brilliant and they do care about your performance. The environment is super friendly! Amazing academy that I'm proud to be a member of!
Fantastic experience: GFA is brilliant, here a just few of the many positives about it: - A welcoming environment has been created, from front desk to the coaches! There is a culture of everyone trying to help each other to improve. - The coaches are excellent in breaking down techniques to make things easier to understand, giving you a solid foundation to build upon. - The facilities are very clean and modern. - There is an excellent variety of classes at different times, which makes it possible to fit training into your busy schedule.
Fantastic experience: Gaunlet fight academy is a great place to learn not just martial arts but respect and discipline aswell. The atmosphere is very friendly and suitable for everyone to join. Definitely recommended!
Fantastic experience: Amazing place to start your journey of martial arts. Everyone is full of respect and it is a life changer! I highly recommend signing up now to become a better person!!!
Fantastic experience: Melhor academia de jiu-jítsu no mundo! Professores especialistas e alunos casca grossas! Respeito acima de tudo OSS
Fantastic experience: Simply the best!
Fantastic experience: Incredible place with some incredible people and more than just an academy, it's a family. We learn and grow together.
Fantastic experience: Best Place to Train and make Friends.
Fantastic experience: Great MMA gym with different disciplines to learn in the centre of Ealing Broadway
Fantastic experience: I attended the Tuesday all levels nogi 12:30 class last week (was visiting my sister in London)... Professor Silvio is a gent & all the guys i rolled with were very friendly. After an enjoyable warm-up, we drilled a nice guard pass in to a mounted triangle/arm bar, & then we rolled for c.40 mins. It was all levels, as advertised. Archer on reception was very welcoming & professional; he nearly had me signing up even though I was only a drop-in/day passer!! I will hopefully get calling again in the future
Fantastic experience: I can only say “Best gym in Ealing Broadway!” All the trainers are high qualified in their own disciplines. Atmosphere is great! Really good energy and friendly people here…The business you’ve created here is impressive, Thank you!
Fantastic experience: Best gym in London. Have been to a few gyms however none of them come close. What makes this place different from the others is not only the atmosphere but the core values it teaches which are a reflection of Neto's principles that everyone should have. Respect is an extremely important concept that everyone should have for each other. No matter where you come from, your position in life, how much money you have, you should always respect everyone equally. And this is what Neto teaches through this academy. With regards to the teaching itself, the coaches are amazing, they actually try and help you unlike some other gyms where you can tell they dont care as much. Here they actually train you to be the best you can be through the detailed coaching and individual attention. A notable mention is Samuel Antwi, a great boxing coach who gives everyone individual attention and is one of the most skilled boxers around. His classes have the perfect balance of mitt work, sparring and fitness which I havent found anywhere else. Prices are also very reasonable, offering student/NHS discounts etc. A great academy. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Joined recently, so far it's great. Hamzah's customer service is next to none, really makes you feel part of the club before you have even joined. I've been doing boxing and the Coach is great. Well experienced and always comes around on every combo to see if your doing it right or wrong. Great place and look forward to training more.
Fantastic experience: Great value for money, with an excellent training facility. The staff and coaches are extremely welcoming & have managed to create a comforting training environment for all of their members
Fantastic experience: I've been with Gauntlet Academy for 6 weeks and i really love it here. Great coaches, great atmosphere, professional facility and you do get to improve with each training.
Fantastic experience: Really glad i joined the gauntlet academy. Very welcoming Staff, excellent coaches and a culture and environment I am glad to be part of now! Osssss!
Fantastic experience: Great place to train with a lot of different classes on offer. Very good coaches and staff.
Fantastic experience: Perfect place
Fantastic experience: Feels like a family! I'm completely addicted to bjj now :D
Fantastic experience: Great location, spacious and what's most important great coaches and training partners. This place is addictive!
Fantastic experience: Joining this club has improved my life so much. The instruction is excellent and instructors are friendly and patient. What could seem a little daunting at first becomes a great experience and we all became friends very quickly. Something for everyone.
Fantastic experience: Got my kids to join they are loving it ...then i got tempted and joined too ...no regrets ,only gains ;) ... Professor and coaches are amazing.
Fantastic experience: The Gauntlet Fight Academy has the best energy. Everything is so clean, every training is amazing, Keep doing exactly what you are doing.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely love it. Staff is awesome and real hard work, but definitely seeing results.
Fantastic experience: My husband has being training on the gym for some time now and honestly I think that gym makes him happier than I do. I’m looking forward to the lockdown to finish and for him to be back training, I want to join soon as well because I heard that they are very supportive towards woman’s that want to train there and they have a woman’s class only which is amazing because I’m worry about training with man
Fantastic experience: Very special place, professional facilities and world class coaches... Respect above all
Fantastic experience: Great people & facility. BJJ led by Neto & his team with great attention to different levels of proficiency, putting respect and learning at the core of the sessions hence a very positive atmosphere. Awesome Muay Thai with Samy too. Probably one of the biggest mat in London plus some workout gear & sauna room. Obviously a few limits on sparring and facilities usage to meet Covid regulations these days but still plenty of opportunities to get a good workout! Definitely recommended.
Fantastic experience: Great MMA gym with friendly and professional coaches who know their stuff. A great place to come get fit and meet some really cool people in the process
Fantastic experience: Definitely, this is the best place to martial arts in London.
Fantastic experience: Good location and good variety of classes. Making the most out of the covid restrictions by adapting their classes. All combat sports and martial arts are suffering with these restrictions but if you're 'warrior minded' and serious about training, any training is good training. Good family atmosphere and nice membership base of decent people. No egos here
Fantastic experience: Although due to covid restriction we don't get to have full contact and we have to obey the government laws, it sill manages to be an amazing Academy with the best coaches and facilities to come to develop your human potential and discipline. highly recommended
