Fantastic experience: Friendly people, incredible selection of machines and weights - accessible even at peak hours, and lovely staff. Large car park with cycle spaces available too. Prices are great and even have student deals. Showers and lockers on site are free and clean. My gym for the last 6 months and just signed up again!

Fantastic experience: Love this place, proper old school gym, good old fashioned equipment and lots of it too, never had to wait for a machine etc as there are so many of them, the boxing room at the back is well equipped with 6 hanging bags and loads of other equipment and yes the plaster may be coming off the walls but it adds to the character of the gym! No nonsense place! The people that use the gym are very friendly as are the staff too.

Fantastic experience: A not so average - average Joe's gym.. 5 stars all the way! Tons and tons of equipment, regardless of what type of workout you're wanting to do. The staff are great and there's a friendly atmosphere throughout and a motivating energy which really helps when you've got a goal to achieve. It's great value for money and the thing I'd say I like the most about this gym is that no matter what time you go in (even during peak periods) you can always get on a machine and crack on with your workout, because there's such an incredible amount to choose from.

Fantastic experience: Great family run gym. I started back on my fitness journey with the big chain gyms and didn't feel right, lack of help from staff etc, machines or free weights always taken...but at Olympic, there's plenty for everyone and the friendly atmosphere puts you at ease. The staff are very helpful, too.

Fantastic experience: I have been using this gym for over 15 years, from being a teenager living in the area to now when I come back to visit my family. Getting a session in at Olympic is as important to me as seeing all my childhood friends. I have travelled a good portion of the world and have never found a gym I prefer over this one. Maybe it's a nostalgia thing, but it really is a special place for me. Mark was always very encouraging when we were gangly little kids coming in for our daily bench and biceps sessions.

Fantastic experience: Been here today for the first time I was so nervous but the staff soon put me at ease, really friendly and helpful, never seen so many machines in a gym before, will be back on Friday to join thank you.

Positive experience: The gym offers a free pass for seven days which is definitely a good thing. There is a shop from which you can buy proteins bars and shakes. There is a very good boxing area with a range of different weights and also boxing gloves to try out. There is alot of gym equipment however some of the equipment is slightly outdated. This gym also provides a weight scale in pound and kilogrammes. I personally enjoyed the gym as the gym wasn't overcrowded which is a big positive at the gym!
