Fantastic experience: Like most on here, dropped in for a few days during my London visit. Location is awesome.. overlooking the canal. It’s a no frills gym.. bring your towels kind of thing.. with all the necessary equipment to get a sweat in while on holiday. Weights section, barbells, machines, cardio equipment.. simple and value for money, especially if you’re visiting

Fantastic experience: I love going here, firstly the staff are so friendly and welcoming, secondly all the equipment is new and in full working order, thirdly its not so busy that you have to wait for any of the equipment and to top it off it overlooks the canal, so beautiful and costs far less than the surrounding gyms

Fantastic experience: The Gym by the canal It is a small gym, but it is managed very well and has good facilities. There are steam rooms and saunas. The staff were very welcoming and gave great advice.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at the Hitio gym! I was visiting London and needed a place to workout; this was perfect! Emily was super welcoming and got me setup. The gym is located along a waterway with a nice outdoor view and convenient location.

Fantastic experience: A decent gym next to the canal! There is an option for classes! Some of the machines are a bit worn out and I’d prefer have a few of the same machines like lat pull/seated row one. The staff is very friendly and the sauna is really nice!

Fantastic experience: Came to London for a few days and did a 15 £ pass for 3 days here. Tim, the manager, was SO friendly, welcoming and even remembered our names! The equipment was great, there were a few different squat racks, hex/trap bar for deadlifting, leg press, cardio area, resistance bands, stretching area and more. My friend even did a class. I LOVE this gym and will come back if I’m ever in London.

Fantastic experience: A Gem of a Gym with Exceptional Staff and Atmosphere! I joined HITIO Gym Hoxton not long ago after switching from another local gym, and the experience has been nothing short of fantastic. The Staff: Tim, the owner, is an incredibly friendly and nice guy. It's clear how much he cares about his gym, ensuring it's always clean and well-maintained. Tim is very specific about the crowd and maintaining good vibes, creating an uplifting and welcoming environment. He personally checks the gym frequently, fostering a space for serious exercisers. The staff are also amazing. Giannis’ kickboxing classes, both normal and beginners, deserve 5 stars. Stefan’s beginner class is top-notch, filled with technique and knowledge. Peter is also very nice and friendly. John, who I haven’t taken a class with yet, is extremely friendly and even convinced my partner to try it out. I can't praise them enough for making me feel so welcome. This gym has made working out far more fun than ever before. About the Community: The sense of community at HITIO Gym Hoxton is truly special. The crowd here is lovely, filled with people who genuinely want to work out and support each other. It's refreshing to be in a place where everyone is enjoying their workouts, creating a positive and inclusive environment free of toxic masculinity. The community vibe makes every visit enjoyable and motivating, fostering connections and friendships among members. I LOVE THAT. About the Space: Located beautifully by the canal, the gym offers a restricted entrance for added security. Sometimes, classes are held outside when the weather is nice. The gym is reasonably sized and never too busy, with a variety of stations so I rarely have to wait. The place is always clean, with a wide range of equipment including kettlebells, exercise balls, BOSU balls, medicine balls, foam rollers, elastic bands, dumbbells, and barbells. They have many stations for squats, bench presses, and cable machines. While there are some machines for legs, the focus is more on cable machines and free weights, which is perfect. There's also a martial arts area available for use when classes aren't in session, a perfect spot for stretching or practicing boxing and kickboxing. The cardio machines, like treadmills, face the canal, offering a beautiful view. On nice days, they even take the ski, bike, and rowing machines outside. And it doesn't end there. After tough workouts, the steam sauna (with eucalyptus) and the regular sauna are perfect for unwinding and relaxing. I'm truly happy to have found such a gem and hope the standards remain this high!

Fantastic experience: This is really a great gym, Tim is an excellent manager and is very understanding as well as accommodating to work with. The team Giannis and Peter have led some fantastic classes which have managed to get me back and excited to train again. There’s a little bit for everyone in this gym. I don’t find it too busy even during peak times. The facilities are in great condition with Sauna and steam room I believe it’s a great value service which is something difficult to find in London.

Fantastic experience: I was looking in the area for a gym on my travels and came across this little gem located right on the canal. When I walked in I was immediately impressed with the look of the gym and its tidiness, and even more, the lovely trainers and staff who greet you every time you walk in!! The gym is equipped with a variety of upper body and lower body machines, as well a large open space for free weights and cable machines. Could not recommend this gym enough :)

Positive experience: This Gym though small is run by some really nice people! As in I have never felt more welcome and safe. Nestled behind Gainsborough Studio with a view of the canal there is an open plan cardio area with a number of treadmills. Then a stretching area, some free weights and then some weight machines. There is a larger back room with boxing bags – for group classes or one on one. This is mostly a Martial Arts gym so that’s probably why everyone is so nice. However as there wasn’t much equipment and the membership was pretty high it wasn’t the best gym I have visited but I really did like the atmosphere. Plus everything was so clean!!!!! Once you have finished you can go and take a quick steam – which was a pleasant surprise!

Fantastic experience: The owner and his team are really friendly and helpful with questions and general help in the gym. You can make suggestions about equipment and new pieces will often materialise, which is great. An excellent small gym, great value for money and much better than other gyms I've seen in London. The only thing that bothers me is that there is growing number of members who don't appear to understand the meaning of words "controlled release" and like slamming barbells and cable machine plates down. Other than that, most people are polite, nobody leaves equipment lying around when they are done and gym staff are always around to tidy up if there is an issue.

Fantastic experience: Excellent equipment, clean changing rooms (each with a steam room and sauna!) and kind knowledgeable staff... everything a gym should be! Tim and his staff are amazing. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

The staff are friendly and helpful - Tim is always on hand. Hits the basics like providing plenty of benches and squat racks, but also has amazing bonuses like a steam room and sauna. Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place. Tim, Emily and all the trainers are super nice and welcoming from the off. All the equipment is great, things are kept clean and tidy (emphasis on the tidy!! yes!!) and the sauna is the cherry on top. Couldn't recommend it enough if you're in the Angel/Islington or Hoxton area!

Fantastic experience: This Gym is Class. No compremises in it's infrastructure, clean and efficient. I got a free day pass and was shown around the gym, including a room for boxing and two sauna options. I did my own thing, but noticed everyone in today was respectfull and calm.

Fantastic experience: I have been using Hitio Hoxton for over a year, having moved there from a previous gym. I find all of the staff really helpful , they are all very personable and I am treated as a valued member. The HIT classes are a good workout, the Personal Trainers are very good and will help you reach your goals, the equipment is well maintained and great for those looking to strengthen and condition. I lovely local, personal gym.

Fantastic experience: One of the greatest gyms I’ve experienced in a long time. No waiting for equipment, amazing facilities like a boxing studio and sauna/steam. A lovely community atmosphere and cleanliness to a very high standard. Tim is also a lovely guy and great to have a chat with.

Fantastic experience: Gorgeous gym right by the canal. Real mix of classes and all super effective. Even has a sauna and steam room which is the cherry on the cake. Big shout-out to the wonderful owner Tim for running such a welcoming gym and to my PT, Pete, for making me feel stronger and fitter!

Negative experience: Hitio is a beautiful gym. Its is isolated in a peaceful passage by the canal, and I have personally seen changes for the positive in my time there for a year and a half. But pricing has become too comical for the facilities it provides. The management has been increasing the price of its, already ridiculous, membership prices year on year. But this is also good news because you will workout in an empty gym. The gym members are all friendly and classy, with no youngsters or anyone without gym etiquette. In my 18 months there I couldn't get my head around the water fountain. This must me the only gym in the world where the water fountain doesnt have cold water. Pathetic when you are paying £50+ a month. Quick sumup of the facilities: -Shower doesn't regularly have hot water. -Toilet has drainage problems. -Changing room has foul smell because of drainage. Only positives in this gym is that it has a champion kickboxer Giannis and a extremely friendly and helpful PT called Peter Watson.

Fantastic experience: I like this gym so much I'm hesitant to review it and alert the masses. Lots of high quality equipment, always spotlessly clean, well ventilated and air conditioned, and really nice and helpful staff. The culture is great too - people usually actually put their weights back in the right place. The only downside is the changing rooms can get kind of muggy due to the steam room. And the sauna/steam rooms aren't great.

Negative experience: Intimidating behaviour from staff. I cancelled my membership and received a lot of communication from them trying to charge me made up costs. First they sent a bailiff, then legal notices that Hitio were taking me to court and seeking additional court costs from me. It was all just scare tactics in the end, which I found even more annoying. Would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Blown away by Hitio Gym Hoxton. I have recently moved to London from New Zealand and was looking for a gym that offered good gym equipment and classes in the Hackney/Hoxton area and thankfully found just that! The facilities are top notch and clean, and the best part is the genuinely friendly and knowledgeable personal trainers and owner. Very welcoming space. Would definitely recommend heading along to Hitio Gym Hoxton to try it out, no doubt you’ll love it just as much as I do.

Fantastic experience: So happy I found this gym. It’s a great space with excellent equipment, bit of a hidden gem really. Such good customer service, Tim was super helpful. Great line up of: free weights including several racks, fun stuff like ski erg and sled, regular cardio machines, boxing room, clssses and even a sauna. Seriously well equipped, friendly and welcoming and nice touches like hairbands in case you forget yours. Thanks Hitio!

Fantastic experience: Finally a not too small not too big gym with local community feeling in an amazing location. It’s clean, has all machines you need, has a sauna in the changing rooms and hygiene products and most importantly the owner sets the tone. Staff is positive, friendly chatty. If you’re looking for good vibes while getting fit - that’s your place at a fair price point.

Fantastic experience: I visited many gyms in the Dalston, Haggerston area, and very easily settled on this as my favorite. There are five dedicated adjustable benches , which is great becuase they are usually a point of competition and it makes for much less waiting around. The machines also have some excellent cushioning. Their semi shaded windows allow natural light inside the gym, while still providing a sense of privacy. The layout is spread out in a way that even when it’s crowded, it doesn’t feel cramped or claustrophobic. A friend mentioned that they have also good classes, but personally I prefer working out on my own and haven’t attended any of them. The gym is independently owned, which in my opinion, generally means more care and personal attention goes into the details. The manager, Tim, has a caring demeanour towards both his clients and the gym. His obsession with cleanliness and organisation is a plus, and doesn’t go unnoticed.

Fantastic experience: I've never been so impressed by service at a gym. Tim, the owner, welcomed me and my girlfriend at the front desk. He introduced himself, asked our names, and gave us a tour of the place. The gym had everything we needed: machines, free weights, and even a martial arts room with matts and punching bags. The vibe was fun and welcoming. So much more personable and caring than any of the big chains. If you're in London and looking for a great workout or fitness class (with a great view of the canal), definitely check out Hitio.

Fantastic experience: My favorite gym I've been a member of. They make a genuine effort to be warm and welcoming, and the classes are some of the best I've taken. They are engaging, I feel like I'm getting a good workout, and the instructors don't seem to mind I am a grumpy curmudgeon. A+++++ to this gym.

Fantastic experience: Since I moved to London a year ago, I have been looking for a perfect gym, I’ve seen almost every gym in the area, and I decided to get a membership at Hitio Gym Hoxton. It was a great decision, and I enjoy it every time I come there. Everything is clean, a lot of free space and air, all machines are new, great view of the canal, which is a fantastic bonus, especially while you are running or doing your cardio. One important thing in the gym for me is a sauna, which Hitio Gym Hoxton also has. The soul of this gym is a crew. What an amazing team of professional trainers and lovely people! I used to go to the classes as well - crosstraining with Giannis is my favorite one. If you’re looking for a gym in Hoxton - Hitio Gym is highly recommended. Fantastic experience: I've been training weights and BJJ at Hitio for the last 10 months. Tim and the rest of the staff are all very friendly, the gym is kept in great condition and Geoff the BJJ coach is amazing! The martial arts membership is fantastic value for the classes on offer and I would strongly recommend the gym to anyone living in the area.

Fantastic experience: This past month has been incredible thanks to Hitio Gym. I’m an American student studying abroad here in London and was looking for ways to improve my exercise habits, and I came across this wonderful gym. With a friendly staff and overall incredible environment, this gym alone has significantly improved my time in London so far. The crosstraining, abs, kickboxing/boxing and yoga classes are both challenging and fun! I am so grateful to have found this place. Hitio Gym is truly the best!

Negative experience: Very disappointed with this gym. I cancelled my membership and they kept billing me, now I have some dodgy debt collection agency trying to collect multiple months worth of membership fees from me. Regret ever setting foot in a place that so values money over customers.

Fantastic experience: The gym is beautiful. Though I can’t comment on the exercise facilities, as I only used the sauna and the steam room, they look very nice. Both the sauna and the steam room are amazing! They are small and very clean, and in a nice tiled, recessed part of the bathroom, with showers for rinsing off inbetween sessions. The women’s bathrooms are well designed and inviting, as well as very well equipped. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The whole thing far exceeded my expectations !

Fantastic experience: I've been a member at this gym for over 6 months now and would highly recommend it. The gym is spacious, always clean and usually not too busy so you can get on with your workout without waiting. There is plenty of modern equipment as well as showers, saunas and steam rooms. I've also done the beginners kick-boxing and abs classes, both are run by the brilliant Giannis who really knows his stuff and is a good motivator.

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful place to work out! My partner and me just recently moved to London and found this gym in our area. How lucky we were! The Hitio team is always so kind, helpful and never misses an opportunity to make you feel comfortable at the gym. The tips they give on exercises are excellent too. We have been traveling a lot in the past years and never found a gym with such a nice little community. Most of the staff knew my name after just a few days! BTW I can really recommend the boxing and yoga classes on Thursdays.

Fantastic experience: Really friendly environment and trainers with equipment in great condition. Highly recommend personal training with Olavi. As someone who always found all the gym machines a little intimidating, Olavi was a great teacher, helped me to design a personal workout routine to use going forward, and really helped motivate me to get back into a regular fitness routine!

Fantastic experience: Such a great gym to go to - the team are friendly, inviting and always has great energy. The gym floor, equipment and facilities are always maintained and are clean for use. The variety of classes adds to having a good workout session, plus the use of the sauna and steam room is a lovely way to end it. Being provided with healthy snacks is a nice perk and I can not forget the amazing location of the gym being along Regents canal and the views you get to experience while working out on the dock outside of the gym in the summer time. It's all worth it if you live in the area!

Fantastic experience: I can genuinely say this is the best gym I've ever been a member of (and I've had a lot of gym memberships!) The staff are really friendly and helpful, there is a great choice of equipment, lovely views of the canal, and best of all - it's never too packed so I'm always able to get the equipment I need, which is more than I can say for most gyms. Fantastic experience: Been going here for about 6 months and it’s the best gym I’ve ever been a member of. Always spotless and plenty of equipment which is always available even during busy times. In the good weather, they pull some machines and matts outside so you can train by the canal. Tim (the manager) is super friendly and always puts a spring in my step when I go training. The PTs (although I haven’t trained with them) are really helpful and generally the place just emits positive energy.

Fantastic experience: Hitio Gym is great gym and I definitely recommend everyone giving it a try. The staff are amongst one of the things that sets this apart, they are very warm and welcoming and you feel like part of a community by coming here. The gym is well stocked with a large range of equipment even for fussy trainers like me, the classes are second to none, I train Brazilian jiu jitsu here after trying many other places but this place has helped me develop more so then any other and I would definitely recommend for all levels and abilities. To top it off they have the canal and decking outside which can be used for outdoor training which completely sets this gym apart from others in London. If your lucky enough to be in the area you need to get down there and give it a try.

Fantastic experience: What a great gym! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I love the space because it’s quiet & clean and I don not have to wait for hours to get on a machine. The sauna/ steam room area is a great add on. I am really sorry to be leaving soon because I have to relocate, but whenever I am in London I will come back and book me a monthly membership!

Fantastic experience: An excellent gym in a great location, alongside the canal. The gym is incredibly well equipped with brand new, top of the line equipment and facilities. Tim and his team are always very welcoming, professional and on hand to provide friendly advice. To optimise my results I have recently started PT sessions in the gym with Olavi and couldn’t recommend him highly enough - he is enthusiastic, highly knowledgeable and has me working to a plan tailored exactly to my needs, to push me that extra distance. The atmosphere in the gym is friendly, members are respectful and although the gym is busy at peak times as you’d expect, it never feels like there is a wait for equipment. Whilst I’ve not (yet) signed up to any classes, there are a huge variety of fitness and martial arts classes that take place in the fitness studio, with something available for members of all ages and abilities. Overall an excellent gym; if you are looking for a well equipped gym, suited to all levels and with a friendly atmosphere, then Hitio is incredible value for money. There is an added bonus of having the canal side decking outside, as some of the classes are held outdoors when and equipment is stationed there when the weather is nice!

Fantastic experience: Have absolutely loved my time at Hitio Hoxton! Only leaving as I’m moving overseas, and I feel sad to go! From the day I joined the whole team have been so welcoming and always happy for a chat. The group classes are awesome, especially outside on the deck right on the canal. Great facilities (sauna and steam room included!). Highly recommend to anyone in the area ☺️

Fantastic experience: Hitio is the perfect gym for all experience levels. The staff are extremely friendly which makes the gym feel like a community and encourages you to come back. Tim the manager is always helpful and the classes are addictive. I had never done kickboxing before but once I took Olavi’s class on a Monday I was hooked and haven’t missed a week since. Peter also has great knowledge of new exercises and helped me improve a boring workout.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of this gym for two years and have no regrets. I tried lots of different gyms, but this one is number 1 for me for the following reasons: 1) always clean; 2) kind staff who are always happy to help and give free advice. I'm grateful to them, particularly Geoff, for teaching BJJ. 3) very easy to book classes such as boxing, crosstraining, BJJ; 4) steaming room and sauna; 5) nice canal view (very much enjoyable during the spring and summer)

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym, friendly and experienced crew who are always happy to offer advice!

Fantastic experience: Always an absolute pleasure walking through the Hitio gym door. Tim and his team are always friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere between the members is brilliant. The gym is always clean and the equipment is brilliant. Sauna and Steam room means that the gym has everything I need in one place. Could not recommend more highly.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with a beautiful location, just by the canal. The team is amazing, everyone is very friendly and the manager is great too. Weights, group classes, martial arts,... They cover pretty much everything you may need. The best thing is the atmosphere, rare to find this in London! 100% recommended

Negative experience: I am very surprised by the amount of good reviews of this gym. Here is the list of all the problems: - Lockers in the men's changing room: 2/3 of them are always out of use - Noise on the floor: The gym floor has its own music which is a bit loud but still acceptable. The core problem is that PTs bring their own supersized speaker and play their own music (of disputable taste) on top of the music already played by the gym. The room gets so loud that it is impossible to concentrate and listen to my own device even if I had powerful headphones with noise cancelling. I asked to lower the volume but I was totally ignored. - The gym is advertised as membership free but it's a mind trick. When you give your notice you have to wait for the current month to end + another month. This means I had to pay the membership for 7 weeks since I decided to leave the gym. I would have given it 2 stars but since I have showed my intention to leave the gym, the staff stopped being nice and stopped replying to my emails.

Fantastic experience: Such a great, local gym. The staff are lovely and always helpful, the classes are varied and the atmosphere is friendly and non-intimidating. Definitely recommend if you live in the area.

Fantastic experience: Joined the gym as a total beginner last year and definitely recommend anyone looking for a consistently clean gym with great views in the summer irrespective of if you’re a newbie or long time gym go-er. the women’s changing room always has supplies that you need but the highlight is definitely the staff and their customer service. They’ve been helpful with all my requests and you know where to find them. It’s very difficult to find any establishment which have such helpful and friendly staff and even more surprising in the gym!

Fantastic experience: I was visiting my girlfriend who is working in London, and she introduced me to this quit new and very well equipped gym. It is clean, has all new gym equipment installed and a very friendly and open atmosphere. The equipment allows for a variety of training ranging from cardio to hiit and powerlifting. Not only is this a great place for any gym fanatic, moreover they provide martial arts classes such as BJJ and kickboxing. I participated in a BJJ class and the instructor was very professional, keeping in mind that my girlfriend and I don't have a lot of experience he kept a close eye to make sure we understood the drills. The other members that participated were kind and patient. I like to give an extra shoutout to Alqil, a guy training in the class who also took his time to give me some extra usefull tips after training. Thank you brother, and thank you Hitio gym for this great experience!

Fantastic experience: Ladies changing room had hairspray, moisturiser etc everything you could want and more. Nicest steam room and sauna I’ve ever been to and staff are beyond lovely
