Welcome to Rik Fitness! I'm Riccardo, aka Rik, a certified Personal Trainer based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, with a fully-equipped home studio to cater for all your fitness goals! I believe that personal training should be accessible to everyone, which is why I offer affordable training sessions and discounted packages.
As a certified trainer in postural retraining, corrective exercise, functional training for sports and rehabilitation, back care, and specific populations (including older adults, diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, arthritis, osteoporosis, pregnancy, post-natal, and adolescents), I have the expertise to tailor my approach to your unique needs.

Fantastic experience: Rik is an awesome PT. Whether you want core, strength, fitness, boxing or outstanding running coaching, Rik is your man.
Fantastic experience: I have been working weekly with Rik since late 2021 and I have noticed a huge difference in my overall fitness but mainly with my running. Since starting with Rik I have knocked over 2 minutes off my 5K PB, 4 minutes off my 10K PB and around 10 minutes off my half marathon PB! He is flexible with his sessions to suit my preferences and even offers to help pace me for runs outside of our agreed hours. He is super friendly and encouraging for all abilities!
Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with Rik since January 2020 with a goal to get fitter and lose weight in general, then in preparation for my wedding. He has kept up my motivation throughout the whole pandemic, quickly switching to video calls for my 121 PT sessions. I’ve so far lost 1.92 stone (27lb or 12.1kg) and am very close to my goal weight. He has advised me on diet, which has been key and adapts my session when I have migraines or general injuries. We have regular weigh in sessions on scales that give you much more than weight, we now track my body ‘age’, muscle mass, bone density and fat. Rik is friendly, approachable and very knowledgeable. Also a great motivator on my lazy days! I now also attend his group sessions and have been running with him, the aim being to become a regular runner again. I highly recommend him for sorting out your lifestyle and training issues, especially for brides to be!

Fantastic experience: My 16 year old daughter needed help to pass a fitness assessment to join the army. Having come out of lock down with little fitness and only 3 months to prepare and achieve a high bleep test score Rik planned her training meticulously and trained her 2/3 times a week. Rik knows his stuff! Not only did she pass her bleep test, on the day she achieved well over what was needed. Thank you Rik
Fantastic experience: Rik is an excellent fitness instructor, he really takes the time to make sure that you do excercises correctly, explains why they are important, what impact it has on your body and makes sure you take care of yourself. If you're after a fitness coach then I'd highly recommend Rik as a friendly and professional coach.
Fantastic experience: I started training with Rik 6 weeks ago specifically to train for a fitness test. Rik has pushed and supported me through with professionalism and advice tailored to my needs and I could not have got through this without him. Fantastic experience: I hate the idea of training in a shared facility, and im not really a person that likes to do fitness activities. I signed up with Rik after much thought. I have multiple health problems and many restrictions on when or how I can function due to surgery and abdominal weakness. My sessions are proving highly beneficial and with Riks support and expertise I am feeling much more confident about achieving a good level of fitness. He is very easy to approach and has a strong emphatic nature which makes him ideal in complex cases. I strongly recommend him he will help you reach your goals and is a great investment in reaching your fitness targets whatever they may be.
Fantastic experience: I have been going to Riks HIIT and Tabata classes since they started. They are challenging but fun and will suit all ages and abilities. My fitness levels have definitely improved since I started . Would recommend Rik as a trainer.
Fantastic experience: I always thought that personal trainers were for the fit and the thin so I was a little nervous to start my training being unfit and overweight. There was no need to be! My training with Rik has been the best thing I’ve done to help me in my weight loss/running journey. He works hard to ensure that each session is challenging and fun yet leaves you with a real sense of achievement. The improvement I have made in fitness and strength is really beginning to impact not only on my running but on everyday life too. Rik is incredibly supportive and motivating and he really wants you to achieve your goals. I would definitely recommend him if you are looking for a personal trainer.
Fantastic experience: Started attending Riks Hiit and Tabata classes beginning of January as a complete novice with zero fitness level, overweight and no energy, since then I have seen a massive improvement in all these areas thanks to Rik. The classes are friendly and are adapted to all levels of fitness, with people from all walks of life attending which in turn makes it a lot less intimidating than your regular mainstream gym sessions. Rik is an approachable instructor and encourages you to do the best you can. I actually look forward to attending the classes now
Fantastic experience: Rik has been my personal trainer for nearly 2 years and my fitness has improved 100%. The sessions are tough but enjoyable and I would definitely recommend.
Fantastic experience: Rik's Hiit sessions are great. They are always challenging but fun too. Rik will push you, encourage you and be positive at all times. But he will also never make you try to do something you just can't do - or can't do just yet! Keep coming to the sessions though and you WILL be able to do more, and feel fitter, stronger and healthier.

Negative experience: Impossible to contact
Hi Rod I was away on holiday when you contacted me. You only tried to contact me once via txt message and I didn’t reply because it was an Australian number , from past experience all enquires from abroad have been scams that’s why I didn’t bother replying when I got back. My apologies if your enquiry was genuine.
Fantastic experience: I have been working with Rik for 6 months and would highly recommend him. Since turning 40 in May 2015, after a few months of regular sessions with Rik I have dropped a dress size, run 10km under 1hr and received compliments on my improved figure! I am now more confident I can keep middle aged spread at bay and enjoy life to the full. The workouts with Rik are always challenging and fun at the same time. Rik is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. In my opinion, he is an absolute must for anyone who wants to get fitter and achieve their goals.
