Fantastic experience: Dragon Athletic is an exceptional place to train. Since joining two years ago, I’ve developed a deep passion for CrossFit. It has truly transformed my life – not only am I physically stronger, but my mental resilience has also significantly improved. The staff and coaches at Dragon are outstanding; they offer unwavering support and take a genuine interest in their members' progress. I cannot recommend this gym highly enough. Anyone who visits will immediately notice the strong sense of community here. Come and experience it for yourself!

Fantastic experience: Great gym, great team! All the trainers are super knowledgable. Other members are very friendly and the classes are suitable for all with all the trainers able to help you adjust or scale up or down the workouts depending on experienced you are.

Fantastic experience: Amazing crossfit gym - having trained at a few different crossfit gyms across the country Dragon is my favourite. Everyone is always friendly, the atmosphere is great and makes you want to go push yourself. The programming is really good with a good mix of technique building and endurance style workouts to build a well rounded fitness. The coaches are all excellent, they make an effort to get round to everyone and give tips on how to improve. To top it off they serve great coffee!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of dragon athletic for several years (with a gap in the middle). Dragon athletic has to be the best gym in Cardiff with excellent facilities and equipment, and dedicated coaches who are invested in you becoming your best self. The gym is always looking for ways to improve itself. The community at dragon athletic is very friendly and everyone spurs you on to do your best. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love DA! Since joining this amazing community I feel like I develop a lot as a human being and athlete. At the end of each class I get the feeling of accomplishment and can’t wait to the next day to do it again! At Dragon I met some great people and made friends for life. Everyone involved on running this facility are great and I want to thank you all. Regret not joining it earlier.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member at Dragon for about a year now and am really happy I made the decision to join. It's a friendly and welcoming environment with a real community atmosphere. The coaches are excellent, with a wealth of experience and knowledge. They're always on hand to give you direction to improve your technique and encouragement to get through the workout. The programme is varied, keeping training interesting and fresh. There's a range of classes, open gym and weights room and opportunities for PT sessions too. I'd highly recommend Dragon, fantastic facility and community.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of 15+ gyms over the years and joining Dragon 3 years ago is hands down the best decision I’ve made. Sounds a bit dramatic to say something is life changing, but I really believe if you put the work in, Joining dragon can change your life. Best owners, best coaches, best members, much more than a gym.

Fantastic experience: I decided that I needed to add some S&C to my week to help out my running. Dragon seemed to offer an interesting set of sessions that might help me so I enrolled about a year ago. I’m no spring chicken so was apprehensive about whether I could do much of what was asked of us. Whilst there is a lot of gymnastics type skill work, this is always scaled so that those who can, can happily train next to those that can’t yet…,. The team are both knowledgeable and patient, explaining each session and making sure everyone gets something from them - no one is left behind. Andrew and the team work really hard to create a sense of belonging such that Dragon is now both a great place to train and a great place to meet up with others on the same journey. With classes super early in the morning to classes in the late evening I’ve always managed to find one that fits into my day - the risk is often doing too many….

Fantastic experience: Dragon Athletic offers a warm and welcoming community experience to fitness, that is paralleled with expert tuition from the coaches. This gym and its classes are for every one of what ever fitness level you initially bring. Classes can be tailored for experience or because of an injury or what ever the reason, and I guarantee you leave having had a great experience and overtime your fitness will improve. Couldn’t recommend this gym highly enough.

Fantastic experience: From the moment I walked into Dragon Athletic last year, I felt immediately welcomed. The coaches are superb and are very knowledgeable and always there to support. It can be daunting joining a new gym, especially if you are joining a CrossFit gym for the first time. However, I can say with full confidence that joining DA is up there with one of the best things I’ve ever done. I’ve learnt lots of new skills, made some amazing friends and it feels great to be part of such a supportive and wonderful community. 10/10

Fantastic experience: Best gym I have been to for many reasons. First and foremost are the people who run it and are coaching the classes. They make the classes challenging but also really fun. The coaches are always happy to answer questions and help with your form and techniques - I’ve improved so much from the technical/skills parts of the classes where everyone has a chance to practice and improve with their guidance. I hadn’t tried CrossFit before and everyone, from the coaches to other members, has been so welcoming to the gym. From a practical side, their app is great for viewing the timetable, programming, and keeping up to date with announcements. You can also log your times/reps and keep track of progress via the app. The changing rooms are spacious and clean; and the coffee shop serves amazing flat whites! Overall I’m really glad I joined and wish I had sooner!!

Fantastic experience: So glad I joined dragon, only wish I joined sooner! Facilities, programming, staff and members are all absolutely class. I have made personal improvements with the help, patience and kindness of all the coach’s. I did my first ever session with Ash and he helped me get my first hand stand kipping push ups, improve my snatch technique and helped me get my first assisted bar muscle up…all in 1 hour. If you’re looking for a CrossFit box in the area this is definitely the best one I’ve ever been to and if you’re really nervous about starting out whether you’re new to CrossFit or training all together you’re in complete safe hands! Honestly feel like I’ve found my second home with this community, love it here & never want to leave!

Fantastic experience: Friendly coaches and neat !!! Hopefully I stay long enough!!! No reason to leave though seeing as it’s a walkable distance to my house but overall they are lovely and up to date on communication with everyone!

Fantastic experience: Dropped in during a visit to Cardiff from Australia. Great facility with a solid crew, friendly prompt responses to our email enquiries and Coach Adam was a great host! Get there early though. It's a hard spot to find in the dark at 6am =)

Fantastic experience: A very knowledgable and dedicated personal trainer in Cardiff. Clara was kind enough to advise me on the use of running plans using apps and my new treadmill. Her work is quote varied with cardiff fitness training and classes for ladies, kids and even professional athletes. Whether you need a diet plan or one to one sessions Clara of Dragon Athletic is very good. I know she covers the Cf5 Danescourt, Llandaff and Fairwater areas. Not to mention her degrees in sports and strength and conditioning. The best Cardiff P.T sports trainer

Negative experience: Yeah quite a nice facility but would prefer if you could pay weekly and not have to do a direct debit, seems silly as its not an actual gym

Fantastic experience: Krav Maga classes are great! The instructor, Jason, is excellent and the members of the class are very welcoming and extremely helpful to newbies (like me!). There are other classes, and good facilities for training. Highly recommend the classes and facilities.
