We went in and spoke to the staff which could not find it on the system, but after speaking to the owner, Fran he listened and added a further three months which was the time that the account count had been frozen for. He was amazing. He went above and beyond and very professional and kind thank you so much. This is the best Places in Wolverhampton highly recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Eclipse is a fantastic place to train. I joined the women’s empowerment class after sitting on the fence about joining a self defence class for months. Fran is a fantastic instructor / coach and from the very first class I felt at ease and empowered! I moved my children to the club too and they both are big Fran fans and also love the atmosphere and classes at Eclipse! Fran is a natural with all age groups and super skilled across all jiujitsu classes. Also a big shout out to Gianni - we are always welcomed with a friendly smile and Louis and Henok are great coaches. Overall a well deserved 5 stars!

Fantastic experience: Started here doing womens empowered and once I got my pink belt I enjoyed it so much I continued on to combatives. My son also does the bullyproof classes. These are great for not only giving you peace of mind your child could defend himself safely, but also builds confidence, discipline and focus. Fran is fantastic, takes time to ensure new people settle in before a class and always has time to help anyone. Amazing place wouldn't train anywhere else and recommend it to anyone.

Negative experience: I was charged £800 to cancel mine and my girlfriends contracts, unless your 100% committed for 2 years don’t go, they are not understanding as my girlfriend got laid off from her job and we couldn’t afford nor had the time to go but they would not let us leave unless we paid £800 to, the training is mediocre as well, you could find a no contract jiu jitsu gym with better training

Fantastic experience: Took my 2 kids down to the Eclipse Kickboxing Gym where we met up with Kyle the owner and instructor at the Gym. Both my kids loved it and my wife and I liked the idea of how we could log on to pick which class they needed to progress through the various levels even for my 4 year old daughter to get to various levels of competency in the art of Boxing.

Fantastic experience: I joined Eclipse before the lockdown after finding it online and I was loving it, I recently renewed my membership to go back in 2021 now that it's all open and able to train again! I began after training in karate over a decade and I was made to feel welcome by sensei Kyle and Sensei Fran and everyone at the gym, I've trained at multiple places and with me being introverted and hard to fit in none have made me feel more comfortable then everyone there, I'm hoping to keep training and grind hard to better myself in the hopes of fighting in kickboxing! For context, I have to get a train to Wolverhampton then two trains back to get home, I wouldn't be doing it if I didn't enjoy it there so much and cannot wait to get back to it next year!

Fantastic experience: Both my boys have been attending since they were 4 so 4 and 2 years. The place is professional run and teach my boys many different attributes to life like respect, values, discipline as well as kick boxing. Kyle works very hard even through tough times and I’m sure my youngest try’s his patience but Kyle perseveres and it’s starting to show. I believe eclipse also helps with improving there school life.

Fran and Kyle (the two head coaches) are amazing at what they do and have successfully built a welcoming and family feeling environment for people to train in.

Fantastic experience: Well laid out gym with receptive atmosphere from reception through to the training session. Clear and concise introduction by Fran to what Jiu Jitsu entails. I should be registering but I will not be maximising the comprehensive sessions delivered by Jiu Jitsu program because of my current personal commitment. I shall be signing up when(if) I get my affairs in order.

Fantastic experience: ##update May 2021:- well getting back to a club that has gone above and beyond, and thankfully survived in lockdown is fantastic.... my 8 year old son, off his own back asked if he could try the kickboxing classes. I have been keen for my kids to find their way so it was great he asked and asked in particular to go to Eclipse. Kyle is great with the kids, I would again recommend this great club to any and all. We travel 80 miles round trip to attend, such is the draw to Eclipse and it’s staff. Keep up the good work. ##update, Nov 2019#### been coming for 12 months now, i can honestly say this club, this sport and the many folk I've trained with (all ages, sizes, experience) have made this a well worth thing to do. I started to help cope with my wife falling ill and needing some me time and head clearing. Jujitsu is ticking so many boxes. Thanks Fran and all at Eclipse... Went to for a trial session on Monday for Gracie Ju-jitsu, Fran and the team have not only got the perfect balance regards teaching, approach and demonstrations...the facility is fantastic as well. I will be signing up, I look forward to my next session. I recommend Eclipse and urge you to look them up, there is something for everyone with any ability.

Fantastic experience: Hello, I came to Wolverhampton to work one year ago,my first impression of the town wasn't the best and I wanted to move to another city,when i joined the Eclipse Kickboxing everything in mind changed ,I found there a very friendly environment,high quality and skilfull training and amazing teachers and I can say from my heart that is the only and number one reason that I am still living in Wolverhampton even I had some work offers from other towns to work there,if I moved I am sure that I wont find another martial arts so good and professional as Eclipse kickboxing....thanks for everything coaches.

Fantastic experience: Being a 2-stripe white belt at a non-Gracie Academy club, I made the almost 300-mile round trip to train here after being convinced of the gaping chasm of difference between street-applicable jiu-jitsu and sportive/competition jiu-jitsu by people like Rener/Ryron Gracie, Stephan Kesting, etc. I was not disappointed. Fran and the guys were really friendly and welcoming, the academy was clean and bright, and very well-equipped. Two large rooms with different styles of mats, one for stand-up; one for Jiu-Jitsu, a cage, countless sets of gloves and punch pages, etc. The set-up was so professional it could have been quite intimidating for someone new to combat sports/self-defence, but the friendly guy at the front desk who greeted me with a smile, talked me through the schedule, the subscription plans, the syllabus, etc. Made me feel welcome and at ease. After meeting Fran and having a brief chat about my familiarity with GJJ, Fran introduced me to the club and we did basic techniques from the combatives syllabus. I enjoyed this and found it hugely different managing the behaviours and indicators of my untrained 'bad guy'. Very different to the sportive behaviour I'm used to. We did one ground technique and one standing technique and variations of each. Because I wasn't entirely new to jiu-jitsu, Fran very kindly allowed me to stay for the fight-simulation sparring (which is every other Saturday). Sparring against untrained-in-grappling, striking opponents (street punk behaviour) demonstrated huge holes in my punch-protection. The cardio workout was more intense than in sportive rolling. It was amazing fun to put the gloves on and BE the untrained attacker, too - but a little difficult at first to switch-off my jiu-jitsu brain and switch on my Friday-night-out-on-the-town-street-punk brain. We did three different types of sparring that day. Sportive: jiu-jitsu vs jiu-jitsu, Street: jiu-jitsu vs untrained striking opponent, and jiu-jitsu + punches vs jiu-jitsu + punches. All were very different and require a different mindset, as well as changing the hierarchy of positions and attacks and defences. The three different types of sparring were my favourite part of the day. 5/5. Would recommend to anyone. I'm already looking forward to going back, despite the 300 mile journey.

Fantastic experience: I was a member of Eclipse years ago but had to stop for personal reasons. I've finally rejoined & its even better than I remember. If you're interested in taking up kickboxing I honestly believe you won't find a better place to do it.

Fantastic experience: I went to a Jiu-jitsu academy for 9 years, two weeks before my black grading I broke my ankle competing, I was reclutant to get back into the sport; but when we found this academy I was amazed at how much better it was, they make you feel welcome, everyones friendly, and they take time to go through routines with you, and are constantly supporting and guiding you; would recommend this to anyone who is considering taking up Jiu-Jitsu.

Fantastic experience: I was hooked from the very first lesson of the 10 day free trial for Jiu Jitsu. Never done any martial art before and was made to feel more than welcome straight away by Fran and all in the class. I wasn't in the best of places which is why I made the jump to take a class and I'm never looking back. Really great people, great instructors, great facilities and always a great atmosphere. Always holding events and opportunities to get to know everyone better and to help none members as well. A really great place to discover in the middle of Wolverhampton. Couldn't recommend Eclipse more.

Fantastic experience: Eclipse kickboxing club is very Organized, Professional and Well Equipped club with high quality instructors and staff. Very friendly and helpful. Very informative website. I would suggest to create an application for smartphones, where can be seen progress of the grades. Also would be nice to see full qualification chart (belts) and what skills should have their holders.

Fantastic experience: I signed my 2 eldest kids up jujitsu and I noticed a big change and focus in their schooling which was important for my eldest as she was going through her sats and preparing for secondary school and was so impressed that just after six weeks I signed me and my youngest daughter up

Instructor's (Dan and Ben) are brill with the children and encouraged my lil one to join in as he was a bit shy at first. Receptionist was really pleasant and nice and welcomed the lil one in. Fantastic experience: Joined September 2014, was a bit daunting to step inside as is with any martial arts club. But all the staff were very welcoming, there was no "sizing up" against the new guy from any of the other students either. Sensei Fran especially was very welcoming to me as a new student and gave me all the information I needed to know without being asked to do so. The structure of Gracie Jiu Jitsu is excellent, classes are on at convenient times throughout the week and combined with the online tools on Gracie University makes this perfect for any individual. Having looked around at other clubs and what they offer, no other has come close to Eclipse and that goes for the course's applicability in real life situations, progression ,price and overall enjoyment. As the name shows this is directly affiliated to the Gracie Family who pioneered this Art, so rest assured you will be taught by a worthy sensei who has had to earn the right from the source.

Fantastic experience: After having an interest in Jiu Jitsu for quite some time I decided to give this place a go, partly because it is the only certified Gracie jiu jitsu centre in the area and partly because of the many great reviews. I wasn't disappointed!! The club is located in Wolverhampton city centre in close proximity to all public transport links. The place itself is pretty impressive with two large matted training areas and a large comfy reception area with toilet, changing and showering facilities, all spotlessly clean Onto the classes (I cannot comment on kickboxing classes as I've only done jiu jitsu). The GJJ classes are 1 hour long and they are at a variety of times and days so if your like me and work shifts its perfect. Each session is divided into one standing and one ground technique. The instructing is very professional and clear and each technique is broken down and explained. As this course is designed for novices there is a big emphasis on student safety. The instructor Fran has a wealth of martial arts experience and knowledge and a fantastic way of teaching. He is always willing to answer any questions and takes a genuine interest in students progress. If your looking to learn Jiu Jitsu or improve your current skills then you should definitely give Eclipse a try. Regardless of age, fitness level or gender if you want to learn an effective martial art, or just get fit and lose weight while learning something new in a fun, friendly safe environment then get down to eclipse today. Fantastic experience: Started doing Gracie with Fran at Eclipse Wolverhampton under recommendation of a friend. I was warmly welcomed into a good sized class in a professional way. I was treated well and fairly from the beginning with a good integration into the regular classes after an introduction. The lessons and programs are very well structured around each move and the reviews are helpful also; Fran's instruction and examples of each move are thorough and professional and integrates real life situations very well, he also comes round and joins in on a 1 on 1 basis which is very helpful. The price for membership is more than reasonable with a Gi included and all the times of lessons suit me (working 9-5). Also gender and age is not a problem with Eclipse, which is not seen everywhere. I can't wait to continue with my training. Would fully recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: My Son (who has just turned 6) has been having kickboxing lesions here since August. I can not recommend the instructors highly enough, they are very patient and teach the kids in a way thats more like a fun a game, so they dont even realise they are learning! In the few months my son has been here hes gone from a very quiet shy boy who was always scared to try new things, to having loads more confidence and no longer being afraid of trying new things, even his teacher asked me what i was doing different with him as he is also more confident at school, and his concentration has improved, so he is now learning faster! Its the best thing we ever did for him and fantastic value for money!

Fantastic experience: Located just inside the ring road of Wolverhampton by the metro station, Eclipse is easy to get to by car (with free parking in the town after 6pm), by bus (bus station just round the corner from the gym), and of course by metro. The gym has two heated large matted areas with high roofs that offer a very spacious feeling with out being cramped. A large reception offers a comfortable seating area with well maintained facilities. There are plenty of classes to attend to (basically every day) which are all allowed for in a membership which suits you best. Eclipse is run by instructors that have life times of experience in kickboxing which include world champion titles. They are friendly, approachable, understanding and have the knowledge from hands on kickboxing competitions that they pass directly on to their students what ever their level. The Gracie Jiu Jitsu school is a certified Gracie Academy training centre. The teaching is all structured and systematised to allow for a full understanding of street self defence that has been designed directly by the Gracies. Through these foundations, sports jiu jitsu is introduced after a certain level which offers endless exciting potential for what the Gracie Academy have install as you progress. From my first day of my 10 day free trial I have never looked back. The philosophy and teachings that the Gracies pass on to the instructors and students are life changing which spill out into everyday life. Since I have been training, I have had a number of friends and family members also join the class, including friends also bringing their kids to the Gracie 'bully proof' classes. Over just 1 year it is amazing how the confidence, respect & maturity of the kids has become with life skills that will stay with them forever. The only negative thing I have to say is that I wish I had started when I was their age.

I have to say this is one of (if not the best) with 2 large matted areas ,boxing ring, cage, punch bags and offering instruction to both adults and children .it has all you need if your thinking about improving your fitness and gaining a new skill ..The staff and Instructors are friendly and patient and more than ready to help at anytime and this echos around the club even though its students .its not just the love of the martial arts that keeps me going back!..and just to top things off i have made some great friends..thanks guys

Fantastic experience: Eclipse Kickboxing / Gracie Jiu Jitsu Review - the first and only choice for getting fit and learning a marital art where instructors take a genuine interest in your development and this ethos spreads to other students in the club who I find friendly but more importantly helpful in my own development. The club provides fantastic facilities (2x full matted floor, boxing ring and cage!) all of which are specifically designed to maximise the classes so all students experience state of the art teaching with state of the art resources. I love being able to test my skills in a safe controlled environment, I honestly don't think other clubs in the area come close for this. When I joined 3 years ago I was looking for somewhere where I could get fit but also learn a marital art. What I found was both these things but also I found new friends and new levels of confidence I didn't expect to gain. So if its Kickboxing, Gracie certified Jiu Jitsu (yes Eclipse does GJJ) or you just want to get fit (the Friday Fit class is an experience id recommend to anybody) id tell you to go in and speak to reception and give it a go, I'm glad I did!

Fantastic experience: My two children both are members at Eclipse Kickboxing in Wolverhampton and have been for nearly three years now. Both have progressed extremely well being green and orange belts (ages 11 and 5 respectively). My 5 year old is now also enjoying the new Gracie Jui Jitsu classes too! Both of my children have developed a remarkable skill for their age and have had fun, learned respect and discipline from the instructors. A big bonus to membership is the app that allows you to follow your progress through the grades and even tells you your own personal timetable, stripe eligibilty towards your grades and allows you to book private lessons with your preferred instructor should you miss a class or two due to holidays! Extremely satisfied and would really recommend Eclipse Kickboxing based in Wolverhampton to anybody. I know they do free trials frequently for both the kickboxing and Jui Jitsu.
