Negative experience: The gym size and equipment is good. Some of the machines are quite old, but they have some newer machines as well. The aircon NEVER works on the second floor so be prepared to melt. If you ever decide to cancel, make sure to give a months notice (something I was not expecting since I only worked out at Puregym and The Gym’s of the world OR was told to by staff when I decided to join via DD), otherwise they WILL MAKE YOU pay 1 months notice no matter the circumstances.

Fantastic experience: Crayford Weights & Fitness is a Hammer strength affiliated gym spanning two floors, with the majority of the weight section spanning the ground floor. The second floor mostly consists of cardio with a functional strength area. The changing rooms have a sauna within, and the lockers are coin/token operated, so bear that in mind. Sure, a lot of its equipment is old - with some of it older than I am - but there's a simple reason as to why its still in use: it works. The end result of reinventing the wheel is still the wheel, after all. One gripe I'd say is that it could do with its plates being replaced with some new ivanko cast iron, but that's a minor minor gripe. None of the equipment, if it is broke, is broken for long - within the week its up and running again. Also: has a complete Eleiko powerlifing area too! So if that's your flavour then you'll be right at home. The staff are friendly, helpful and always greet you - they know me on a first name basis already - nor will you get banned simply for visiting another gym (yeah, I'm talking about Muscleworks Orpington (who also had a big issue with me being openly genderqueer)). The gym is consistently cleaned, too, just FYI. To add: communication is easy and respectful, with the gym management openly accepting and promoting member feedback as all businesses should, which really makes the gym community within feel like a community. So, if you're serious about training, Crayford is the place.

Positive experience: The gym has everything you need to build a great psychic. Whether you want to be a bodybuilder or you want general fitness, it has nearly everything except a swimming pool. Parking is small compared to the size of the gym.

Fantastic experience: Siiickest gym about, immense machines and friendly staff and members, mad stock of supplements, clothing and drinks, plenty of running machines, bikes and rowing machines. Good parking and opening times, give it a try you won't be disappointed, you will never struggle for a machine or free weights here,this is the gym to get BIG.

Fantastic experience: Friendly with great equipment. It's really 2 gyms - upstairs is a well equipped 'normal' gym. Downstairs is for serious muscle bunnies- lots of flexing and mirror checking of some truely amazing specimens. Everyone was very friendly even to someone with a standard bod like mine. I'll be going back :)

Fantastic experience: This is the first gym I ever entered and to this day remains the best (yet most expensive with good reason) gym I've ever been too. Equipment for everything including duplicates can't recommended enough.

Fantastic experience: Crayford Weights and Fitness is the best gym in the country by far. The gym has every piece of equipment you could ever need to take your physique to the next level. The staff & the owners are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and the gym is clean and everything is easy to find. If you are serious about your training and what a fun and friendly environment to train in this is the place to go! Also has plenty of parking space for those who drive and is easily accessible through public transport.

Fantastic experience: If you are serious about getting in shape then look no further. Top of the line equipment and great people. Machines set up by section for each body part you want to train. Also if you want pre and post workout supplements then readily available here. Sauna in changing room if you want to relax after your hard workout

Staff are all polite, they will always acknowledge you when you enter. Many call this place their second home and you can see why!

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best training facility I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The equipment is second to none and the services available are wide and varied. But what really makes this place special is the staff and management. Each and every one here will welcome you with a smile whilst exuding pure professionalism. Truly a wonderful and special place.

Positive experience: The most well equipped gym in the area. Mats need changing but the machines give you everything you need. Great PTs too. Plenty of cleaning products, though I notice not all gym goers wipe down after using them.

Fantastic experience: A truly great gym, which has everything from a full range of Hammer Strength machines, to Rogue calibrated plates, Texas power, deadlift and squat bars, 2 sets of Watson dumbbells, many power racks, deadlift platforms, bumper plates, plus a huge amount of cardio kit. If you are looking for a gym that has it all, then look no further!

Positive experience: Definitely the most well-equipped gym in the area with very friendly staff and known to some as the UK's 'mecca of bodybuilding'. Definitely has everything you'd expect in a bodybuilding gym but also everything you'd want cardio wise too for the average gym goer. However, parking can be an extremely difficult task sometimes which is the only downside I can see.

Positive experience: Cant fault he gym been coming for years it has the best equipment for mile and is always expanding, the only thing that lets it down are the changing rooms and the cleanliness of them , I stopped using the sauna years ago as its never been cleaned and the changing room need a deep clean
