Positive experience: So glad to be back at ironworks! shame there is no WiFi ... only because I like my own music to get in the zone lol one wish is an adjustable crossover cable machine, but other than that it's a great gym with a great vibe :)

Fantastic experience: Excellent old-school gym. Great community. Friendly and down-to-earth owner and team. +10 testosterone by just existing in this space and +8 concentration from the (good) music. The area is packed and most weight are cast-iron so be careful not to trip.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym, has everything you need and lots more. I have been going there since just after the first COVID lockdown and there is no other gym I will go to now. The other members are brilliant, very friendly and always willing to help. Staff including owner are friendly and helpful. Overall, love the gym. Get in there and work hard to reach your goals!

Fantastic experience: It is the same as it's ever been. It's a perfect gym if you are looking to lift heavy things and find knowledgeable people. If you are looking for a sauna or jacuzzi, this isn't the place. It's a proper lifters gym, it's old school, I'm glad it hasn't changed, although I do feel like it used to be bigger, maybe that's just me though.

Fantastic experience: Incredible gym. Got all the equipment you need for cardio and/or strength training, so can’t complain. If I lived nearby, this would be my home gym.

Positive experience: Very good gym. Great variety of apparatus. I had lots to do. I found machines that I'd never seen before However, toilets are filthy. The majority of the clientele didn't flush the toilet. The music is quite bad. The dance music I can understand, but the London gangster rap stuff is horrible.

Fantastic experience: A lot of very good equipment. Plenty of opportunities for everyone to train. A good shop which I think is important for a gym. Like pretty much every gym, parking is limited. I would recommend better signage outside as its easy drive past. But the gym itself, I can only say excellent.

Fantastic experience: If you looking for a old school gym in south brum, look no further. Maybe a little tricky to find, it is the left before the carvery. The staff was polite & helpful and was happy to give me a tour. Gym got old school machines with modern kit too. Overall, good gym, good music and welcoming vibes to all.

Fantastic experience: I've trained here on and off for just over 20 years since I was a teenager. Bob the old owner was an absolute gem who was always willing to give me tips and helpful info. Daz who runs it now has certainly taken up the mantle and runs a great gym and is always a friendly face behind the counter. Says a lot that he remembers clients names despite lengthy absences. You only have to look at the list of champs the gym produces to know the quality of equipment. Despite its imposing setting it's very beginner friendly and would recommend for beginner to pro. Best gym in brum hands down.

Positive experience: I've been going to this gym for over 4 months now and I love it, its just a raw, good old fashioned gym that reminds me of the movie pumping iron. The only flaw I find is that the days (Saturday and Sunday) that people have the most time to train, the gym closes too early at 3:00pm. I teach martial arts in the mornings so am only able to get to the gym 12.30am and I'm sure dad's have to take their young ones, to singing lessons or dance classes, which doesn't give people enough time to get a good practise session in. Yeah of course I could join a 24 hour gym but they don't have that pumping iron energy, feel, rough and rugged look like the ironworks. I think they Should at least close at 5. Either way I love it here and I'm an addict.

Fantastic experience: Great, original gym. No drama, and everything you could ask for. The staff are friendly and so accommodating, the PT staff are brilliant. This is not a fitness gym, but there is a cardio area, punch bags, and a fitness area too, along with the best old school bodybuilding equipment. The greatest all round gym I have ever been to.

Can get extremely busy come evening times almost over crowded at times. personal opinion I hate the music choice and far to loud. But all in all great place to workout

Fantastic experience: Solid old school gym, with so much equipment. Old iron weights, it's focused on people who are serious about training but also caters for those who just want to stay in shape. And it has a separate ladies only gym if the ladies want to train separate. There is a leg room, a back room, a TRX area, a cardio area, a main gym area focussing on chest and arms.

Fantastic experience: Hardcore. Best gym in Birmingham if you actually care about training. Friendly staff. Could do with nicer showers though but that's nitpicking.
