Fantastic experience: The perfect gym, without an intimidating vibe, for anyone looking to begin their fitness journey. I’ve been using this gym since moving to the area about 10 years ago and find it’s a really friendly environment full of ‘normal’ folk, with members and staff making you feel welcome. There’s always a “Hi” from Martin and the staff as you pass by reception. There’s a fab selection of equipment (which is even better since the recent gym extension!) and classes for all ages and abilities, that make working out fun. So if you’ve never tried any of the classes, don’t be put off, there’s no clique environment and you won’t feel like the odd one out, members and staff are always happy to help. NRG has a great vibe and it’s an easy place to make like-minded friends - shame there’s nowhere to have a coffee and chat… please Martin

From the professionalism of each member of staff who works there to the equipment within the gym - there is something for everybody here! Immaculate equipment, cardio machines, classes, a friendly and relaxed atmosphere within the gym everybody is there to help each other. The gym speaks for itself. Plus it’s 24 hour too! Which is amazing for those who work shift jobs patterns. Those who work within the gym are extremely professional, friendly and are always willing to go above and beyond to help their members! The nrg members of staff are an absolute credit to the gym and are extremely knowledgeable and create the perfect atmosphere to a perfect gym, thank you to everyone who works at the nrg and thank you so much for all the hard work you have put into the gym and still do put into the gym. Fantastic experience: A clean, tidy gym with tons of equipment and good space, especially after the recent extension. Staff are super friendly and helpful, and members are a nice bunch. Certainly not an intimidating place for new gym goers. Highly recommend!!

This expanding gym has a heart beat in stowmarket and comes highly recommended and won't disappoint. Extremely friendly atmosphere and a great mix of people. Fantastic experience: Top tier gym equipment ranging from, hammer strength, Cybex, TechnoGym, Nautilus and life fitness, recently had a new extension making lots of space and they have added more to the added space to keep the members more comfortable. Since I joined the staff have been nothing but welcoming and very helpful along people’s fitness journeys, I’ve been at the gym for nearly a year and i won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. Staff can have friendly banter and a laugh nothing to complain about.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym. Owned by a fitness and bodybuilding enthusiast! We visited at the weekend and were greeted by super friendly staff and even the owner came to ask our thoughts on the gym and tell us a little about their collection of equipment. Absolutely would be a regular if I lived locally! Worth a day trip if you’re looking to try somewhere!

Fantastic experience: Staff are really friendly and it's a great place to workout

Negative experience: Facilities are fine, but after cancelling my membership I continued to be charged and was refused a refund by NRG, despite it being their error. Really disappointing customer experience so I will not be returning. Managed to get the money back by contacting the bank direct. Be wearing of this if you setup a direct debit with them.

Positive experience: I am from the COPD class that is on Mondays afternoon and have found that it really helps doing the exercises for my breathing. Nikki our instructor is really lovely and very helpful and is always trying to do new exercises to help us. So if you have COPD problems you must come to us and give it a try.

Fantastic experience: Love the classes at this gym. Especially Clubbercise with Nigel. They have plenty weight classes, cardio and spin. I only do classes and not the gym. I've been a member for years and still enjoy the teachers and classes. I've recently started doing full body pump and pilates and spin.
