Positive experience: Make it 24/7 like the Blackpool gym!

Positive experience: An excellent facility with loads of modern equipment to use. The only downside is the opening and closing hours(6am - 10pm), which makes it difficult for early or late users to access the facility at odd hours

Fantastic experience: Probably the largest and most well equipped gym in Blackpool. Directly opposite the beach in Cleveleys so in the summer it's great to walk out so close to the water.

Negative experience: Never been there

Positive experience: Good facilities. Good gym equipment. Temperature can be a bit on the high side. Blackpool and Preston gym are much cooler.

Fantastic experience: Incredibly friendly staff. Very spacious gym with lots of equipment and well marked areas for cardio, weights etc. Very clean changing rooms. In a lovely location by the seafront. Would definitely recommend this gym.

Positive experience: Negatives: its not £10 for a month because you have to sign up for at least 2 months. So it's actually £32 for your first two months. And the system for getting a day pass is buying one out of a vending machine, which isn't great when they run out so you can't get a day pass. Positives: they let me in for free when I couldn't buy a day pass. The guy at reception was helpful, they have a good selection of machines and they have a sauna, which is rare for a gym this cheap

Fantastic experience: It's the best Gym ️‍♂️ . In the North West. I just wish on Saturdays and Sundays they opened at 6. And opened 24/7

Positive experience: No air conditioning makes the place a health hazard. Especially when they let it get so busy. It's a shame as it's a great gym and got all the equipment in the world but the lack of air conditioning makes it unbearable. It's a sweat box and it's way too busy for that.

Negative experience: My monthly membership price has increased whilst gym facilities have not improved. Equipment is often visibly dirty but then there are no sprays and wipes to clean equipment so that isn’t surprising. I will not be bringing my own cloth and spray to the gym to clean machines down this is basic and is provided at all other gyms in the local area. My biggest issue with the gym is that it is so very hot and humid from lack of air conditioning .. if you have ever trained in a gym abroad you will be able to relate, training in this gym is like training in another country in an old gym that has absolutely no ventilation! I reccomend the other nearby local gym as the gym there is much cooler and has very good air con making training pleasant. The heat in this gym physically stops me from being able to put all of my effort into my training. I am unsure how you have gotten away with this for so long, surely you must receive feedback constantly about this issue about the extremely high temperature in the gym but still nothing changes? The huge windows across the building are also so annoying as the sun is constantly in your eyes, it isn’t like there is a nice view either all you can see is the wall. Perhaps investing in some blinds would prevent the sun from making the gym so hot and would mean you don’t have to train while squinting

Negative experience: No air flow which makes working out rather unpleasant. Will just get worse when the summer decides to put in an appearance.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym. It's most spacious with lots of equipment, so even when busy, there is kit to use The lockers and changing rooms are clean and well-appointed. There are lockers for which you will need your own padlock, but security is tsken seriously. There are regular induction sessions if the machines look a bit intimidating. The staff are friendly and helpful Plus, the beach promenade facing the gym is a lovely place for a gentle cool down walk after your workout

Fantastic experience: First time going to a Gym, This place is brilliant if you are starting out, or just change gym. Staff are really friendly and knowledgeable and there is no pushing you to do more, can go at your own pace and no pressure.

Fantastic experience: After being a member at Bannatyne's for years I finally took the plunge and joined JD's Cleveleys. I have the plus membership which works great as I work in Fleetwood and live in Blackpool.... suits me just fine!! I left Bannatynes as I thought it was expensive and didnt suit my needs. I like combat and pump and there were very limited instructor led classes . JD has a large number of instructor led classes, loads of cardio equipment, weight machines and free weights. Very happy and very glad I made the move. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend!!

Negative experience: Standards have slipped massively at this Gym. For the 2nd week running, the showers are out of action. Nothing communicated on social media to warn people. Spin bikes are in a sorry state. Classes are dropping off in numbers as a result and people are voting with their feet.

Fantastic experience: I wasn’t sure if I was going to join up at first but Brandon hunt was amazing showing me around and gave me great advice.

Fantastic experience: My first visit today and I was very impressed. It was a refreshing change to have someone representing a company as they should. Brandon was very professional and did just that. Besides that, his attitude and friendliness was first class. He is a credit to the company. I’d also like to mention how clean the gym is as that’s important to me. The gym is also spacious and very organised.

Fantastic experience: Have been a member of JD gym for some time started with a personal trainer named Danny based at the gym who has been an excellent source of knowledge and motivation through my workouts and outside of the gym. I would highly recommend him to all abilities of fitness and health.

Fantastic experience: A great gym, brilliant team of staff, plenty of classes and enough equipment to always be learning something new. Nice saunas hot showers and a nice coffee machine to treat yourself after a good workout. I’ve been to a few gyms but this is the best by far!! Special mention for Sam and Stacey who are so friendly and always on hand for advice. Just superb.

Fantastic experience: Having moved to the area recently, I have been looking for a new gym. I rang up to seek a taster session at JD. Sam answered the phone and she was absolutely delightful. She is kind, enthusiastic, and full of charisma. Sam also happened to greet me at the entrance of the gym on the day of my trial. She was extremely professional and knowledgeable and offered to give me a fully detailed tour of the facilities. Sam is a credit to JD gyms - the perfect example of what customer service should be. I had an excellent workout, the facilities were brilliant, and the gym is in a great location. Sam’s customer service alone was enough to make want to sign up to JD.

Fantastic experience: JD Gyms in Cleveleys is a fantastic place to workout, great facilities and different classes to suit everyone and all ages, changing rooms are very clean and there is a sauna, you can refill your water bottle and there is a sitting area for coffees and breaks. I love there is a separate area for rowing machines and weights.

Fantastic experience: I joined the gym 3 weeks ago, it's £21.99 a month which is just over £5 a week, which I pay on direct debit. I like it because it's 10 minutes walk from my flat. The gym itself is huge, lots of running machines, cross strainers, cycles. Then assisted weight machines and towards the back free weights. There's a punch bag boxing area. I've been when it's quite busy and hardly any queueing to use apparatus. Upstairs there are classes on throughout the week and the rowing machines are up there also. The changing rooms are well equipped and clean with hair dryers, toilets, showers and a sauna. There parking at the back that's shared with the cinema and it's free.

Fantastic experience: Great and spacious gym with variety of equipment for all your training needs. There doesn’t seem to be issues with waiting for equipment to be available. Plenty of free weights, benches and cardio equipment available. Definitely recommend!

I attend Cleveleys for PT classes with Emily, which I find so amazing and help my fitness & confidence so much. The gym is clean, it has good equipment, well set out and the staff are very helpful. Also, classes are so good!! 100% Def recommend

Positive experience: 1st time ever going to the gym. Seems ok has decent space and is bright. Didn’t notice any kettlebells heavier then 24kg. No staff about also at the time, or I didn’t see them. The sauna was really nice and hot. I go to different branches each have there own style and different machines.

Fantastic experience: Best commercial gym I've been to. Plenty of cardio machines and a massive free weight section with plenty of benches. Excellent changing/showering facilities and a friendly but focused atmosphere. Best gym in the area by a mile.

Negative experience: The facilities are amazing and I enjoy using them. The experience is ruined by the dirty, ignorant users (usually 18 - 30) who clearly don't watch the news, think that Covid is a myth, and also think that others want to sit on, or hold onto their sweat patches. They don't wipe down the machines as they are politely asked to, so I spend half my time cleaning up after them! JD sort it out!! Edit...they have tried their best to sort the issue, but clearly some people have adopted the Prince Andrew approach "Me, I don't sweat". Love how the not disabled ripped Mercedes crew use the disabled parking spaces...if you can't afford to repair the odd scratch, you should probably lease a cheaper car! In short...the JD Staff are incredible.

Fantastic experience: I joined the Cleveleys Gym in April 2021 when I moved into the area from Plymouth. I have found it to be a friendly and professionally run establishment. The Management. Staff and Trainers are pleasant and approachable. The care of their members seem to be of utmost importance as the staff are often seen cleaning the machines and floors throughout each day. Members are encouraged to disinfect the machines they use after each session, most do but unfortunately there re always those who decide the rules do not apply to them.......... I would recommend this Gym as being a safe and welcoming environment for any wishing to become a member. Thank you Anita and staff for doing your bit in making our visits so enjoyable and so welcoming.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, really huge place with loads of equipment so even in busy periods I've never been waiting to use anything like in some previous gyms. Good sized changing rooms,with plenty of lockers, good showers, water always nice and hot, and there's even hairdryers for you to use after showering which is a nice touch, there's a sauna on the premises too which is nice and relaxing after a workout, apparently there are a ton of classes you can attend as well included in your membership fee, but again not my kind of thing so can't comment on them. Good sized car park to rear of gym so parking not a problem. Another great thing I find about this gym is its location right on the sea front so after a good workout I get to enjoy a nice relaxing walk home with sea views, All in all I would heartily recommend, great gym

Negative experience: Last year I requested JD cancel my membership, JD acknowledged this request and told me not to cancel my direct debit. I recently found out that they ignored my request and continued to take payment from my account. In total they stole £175 which I only got back by threatening to take them to court. It's a posey gym, and you're not even allowed to use chalk on the one deadlift platform they have - also shocking lighting across all branches.

Positive experience: Asked about an offer because it was going to cost £60 for me and my partner to join for the first month when it was only £10 to join at Blackpool for the first month. 3 mins difference on travel so not really worth paying 6x the price. Nonetheless I went along to see the place, was kept waiting at the front gate for 20 minutes with no one to be seen, even called the gym in my phone and rang the bell ten or so times to no avail. Was about to leave when someone showed up. After that it was fine. Rowing machines tucked upstairs on their own but the sun seemed fine and the changing rooms were lovely. Just a bit of a pain initially.

Fantastic experience: Very helpful, professional trainers are on hand to give one off advice for your health goals or you can pay for training to ensure you reach your goals on a one to one basis. Always polite and helpful. The gym itself is open plan with loads of equipment and classes are included with your subscription but fill up fast so organisation is a must if you want to book one of these. One of the best gyms I've personally been to. Although the disabled facilities are hardly ever open due to blocked drains or mis use from other users.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Great rage of equipment and areas to suit all gym going types. Studio is very professional and staff are nice. Very busy in the evenings but luckily their range of equipment means that will always be able to do the workout you want in some way. Ways to improve could be a second deadlift area and to rebook at the no bags out on the floor policy - thanks

Negative experience: I rung this place to complain after I witness 2 of there employees making fun of a big girl behind her back I was shocked at how juvenile they where acting as they was grown adults and its there job to help people with weight issues it was deeply saddening and I would never go to a jd gym if yhats the kind of people they employ and when making phonecall they were more bothered over the video I got rather than there employees acting that way very sad

Fantastic experience: I joined JD 2yrs ago after been advised by consultant to exercise after a back injury, no confidence low self esteem. Just used the machines to start but was getting bored, so spoke to PT who showed me I was fitter than I thought. Then started the classes and well the class instructors are just great encouraging,. All the staff client are so friendly, the PT’s always willing to help and advice with out been pushy. Even during lock down the free lance tutors willing to do free on line classes like combat hiit step and encouraging to stay motivated. JD NS changed my life even now while waiting for surgery checking in on me making sure I’m ok! If you want friendly down to earth none judgemental gym then JD is the one I would highly recommend they will welcome you with open arms! JD is my escape with life long friends . Thank you

Fantastic experience: It's £20 month to use all the gym and go to as many classes as you want, and there are a lot. It's big and spacious, clean and modern. And the showers are always hot

Fantastic experience: Superb gym with first rate facilities. The place and staff cannot be faulted. BUT...a small minority of members can spoil it for the majority; I mean a) those who move around in groups, sometimes four or more strong monopolizing a station for ages performing reps and sets in turn and b) individuals who use equipment to sit on whilst engaging with devices - texting/taking and making calls/gaming etc oblivious to others waiting.

Fantastic experience: Loads of free parking, gym is huge full of great kit for whatever your into. Saunas in male and female chanting (love a good sauna) some fantastic classes all included in the amazingly cheap membership of £19.99pm. The staff are all really friendly and helpful, the perfect gym
