Fantastic experience: Been going to Stringers for a year after trying other gyms in the area and is unbeatable for the kind of welcoming, encouraging, non-douche, non-nightclub vibe. All the equipment you’d expect and open 24 hours, very grateful this place exists and more people need to utilise this hidden gem of a gym.

Fantastic experience: I’m visiting Cornwall for a few days only but was still keen to get my sessions in. Despite previous difficulties, Ian was extremely welcoming and very quickly helped us purchase day passes. He went above and beyond to accommodate our session and we thoroughly enjoyed our time, all for an extremely reasonable price.

Fantastic experience: No contracts. Professional & friendly staff. 24/7 set up, and entry is simple once you’re shown around. Stringer’s Gym has always been a positive atmosphere over the 8 or 9 years or so that I’ve been going. Testament to Ian and the staff who are always ensuring that people feel at home when they train. The classes are also a great way to get involved with the community inside the gym.

Fantastic experience: An excellent independent gym. Well equipped and friendly. I came in as a guest (on holiday in area) and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Good selection of free weights and resistance machines, plus a cardio area, squat rack, Smith machine and deadlift area. They pack a lot in!

Fantastic experience: I’d highly recommend Stringers Gym. Ian and Sean were always really supportive and encouraging. The classes made it easy to stick to a routine and you can join at any level of fitness. It’s a friendly atmosphere too.

Fantastic experience: Went here a few times with my wife while visiting Truro for a holiday. Couldn't have asked for more. Ian, the gym owner, is very friendly and helpful. The equipment is top notch - and there is a lot of it. Whatever combination of bars, dumbbells, kettlebells, machines you prefer you will find for your workout. The regulars seem extremely happy with the place, plenty of chat amongst themselves and they all seem to know each other. Very jealous! I wish my gym in London could be like this. Would recommend joining if you're a local or dropping in if you are visiting Truro and want a gym session. Also, plenty of parking!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this gym for 10 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Brilliant staff, really friendly and un intimidating atmosphere, and seeing the same friendly faces time and time again really makes the whole experience enjoyable. Tough classes too but definitely tailored to your own ability. Love it!

Fantastic experience: I used this gym while on holiday and couldn’t have been happier. The gym was clean and tidy, had a good range of equipment and a friendly atmosphere. I had a couple of personal training sessions with Ian the owner and was impressed by his knowledge and experience, although he’d only just met me, he put together really good workouts to challenge me which was exactly what I wanted. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Although I have been a member for many years, after long months of lockdown, feeling lethargic and lacking in energy, I was quite nervous about returning to the gym. I need not have worried! With my personalised programme and under Ian's careful instruction, ensuring I did not push myself too far, I soon got back into the swing of it and came away with spirits lifted and a real boost of energy. Fantastic experience: Just had 2nd interval session since lock down, really good. So glad these classes are back as they are very professionally run and take into account your personal areas of weaknesses and adjust accordingly. Fantastic experience: Looking for a Gym that ticks all the boxes is hard, especially in Cornwall. Stringers has it all...friendly warm atmosphere that is welcoming and always ready to help with advice from Ian and his team. All types of classes, something for everyone. Large rooms for cardio/ machine room/ studio room and a weights room (Huge range of weights and spare sets!) I tried most gyms in Cornwall before choosing Stringers. Support a local run gym who offers the service with fantastic facilities. Easy parking, easy to get to, what are you waiting for?
