The Gym Group London Euston Road

Negative experience: Not sure why they have to play hip pop rap music 24 hours. There is no even a time zone without music. Completely a distraction as I just want to train and concentrate but it Feels like you are inside a night club. I pay to train and not to dance or listening to music. 90% of the member I see wear anyway earpods because i am sure they do not want too to listen to that crap music. Anyway that is the reason I left as they say it is centralized and they have no control over the system.

Fantastic experience: This Gym Group location offers excellent staff and equipment, making it a great place to work out.

Positive experience: Equipment is very modern, good air quality and not too full BUT the hygienic situation is quite problematic here: the bathrooms get very dirty in the evening, sometimes soap or toilet paper is running out, people don't use towels (and lots of sweaty guys here) and there is almost no disinfection spray anywhere. In my home country all of these things are a legal requirement, and on the gym group website they also say that they care about it. But reality looks different...

Negative experience: No customer service at all. Good luck trying to reach someone if there is a problem.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of this gym since it opened and I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to train with Alina for a month. I have recently completed this and I cannot recommend her highly enough! From the very first day, she was nothing short of amazing. Her enthusiasm and personalised approach to fitness made every session challenging (it was hard) but very rewarding at the same time. Alina took the time to understand my goals and designed each workout to ensure I was progressing safely and effectively. She is the best cheerleader as she consistently pushed me to achieve more that I thought I could do while keeping the sessions fun and engaging. She also notices even the slightest flaws in form and corrects it immediately to ensure that the workout remains safe and targets your muscle groups effectively. If you’re looking for a personal trainer who will help you achieve your goals and with visible results whilst enjoying the sessions, look for Alina. She’s an absolute star and I’m really grateful to have had the opportunity to train with her.

Fantastic experience: I was fairly happy with my previous club, walking distance from home, good equipment and friendly members. It lacked space but it was workable. My breaking point was when my membership kept going up on a REGULAR basis whilst they were constantly offering discounts to students. That meant that the gym was getting busier with groups of students hogging pieces of equipment and constantly on their phones! Coincidentally at the time, The Gym Group had a very attractive promotion on, so after visiting the Euston premises, I signed up! The gym is spacious and extremely well equipped. I have joined for a few months now and I never once, had to wait to use the equipment nor had to share! It is regularly cleaned and the staff are often seen tiding up after gym members that, may I add, are still ignoring the common sense etiquette to unload bars and replace weights after use, even though there are signs on the walls. On a personal level, it took months at my previous gym to be greeted by the staff, and after years none of them knew my name. In comparison, I have been a member at the Gym group for only a few months, and from day one and to this day, I’m greeted with a friendly hello, a smile or a small chat! Thank you guys!

Fantastic experience: I rarely write reviews, but for Alina, I genuinely want to, and I could easily write 800 words without hesitation, haha. Since I started going to the gym, I've always had a personal trainer (PT). Compared to my previous trainers, Alina has truly made me understand how systematic training can significantly enhance my progress. She is incredibly patient, always observing the precision of my movements, and meticulously recording my progress in each session. Oh, and she plans every class in advance and sends me the details beforehand. Every step of my training is well-documented, and you can clearly see the progress in yourself! I can only say that meeting Alina has been an incredible stroke of luck, and I’m so, so happy to have her as my PT. I wholeheartedly recommend her to everyone! I just love her too much!

Fantastic experience: As promised, it's new, it's 24hr the membership deal was fantastic A lot of space so never feels over crowded

Negative experience: Very good overall, good range of equipment and the space is open and kept tidy and clean most times. However as of recently (past month) I've noticed it's filled with kids... Minimum age is 16 but every time I've gone I see multiple kids that are clearly using someone else's membership or they lied on sign-up. Either way I hope management does something about it, many reasons for under 16yos to not be allowed that I don't need to point out here, and it's written in the T&C. Hope this is taken seriously and something is done about it very soon

Fantastic experience: I've been to a few of the Gym Groups around the country, and I can honestly say that The Gym Group London Euston Road is the best. The facilities are nice, clean, and tidy. The staff are always smiling and willing to help. It's such a welcome environment which really helps and motivates you, especially on days when you don't feel like exercising.

Jack (manager) n Kia (assistant manager) are fab n actually listen to what the members have to say and try their best to keep everyone happy, especially with classes! Fantastic experience: Very good new gym with lots of new equipment and space. The Box 12 feature with punchbags and video screens is excellent. I had a PT session with Jason Belfield who was first class. Pushed me above and beyond my usual limits. Recommended.

Positive experience: Please re-train and remind your staff that it is not ok to just take something from another member while it is being used. Just because you work at the gym and have 5 people that you are showing something to, it does not give you the right to simply remove another gym members personal belongings from that piece of equipment and take take it to use for your own without even asking or acknowledging the fact that it is being used by that person in the first place. It could be used for any/ of many reasons, and the fact that it was taken without asking just shows the level of respect. I understand its a public gym and we are all happy to share, but at least ask rather than just taking and moving personal belongings. On the plus side: Good price for the size of gym, location and equipment available. The gym is generally clean all over. Reasonably tidy for the amount of members it has.

Fantastic experience: Very nice, clean and comfortable gym. Large area for your daily exercise routines, trainers always smiling when welcoming you, and you can also come at any time and still have enough space and machines to train. The only inconvenience so far is the Wi-Fi. Your mobile phone signal does not reach all areas of the gym, and the Wi-Fi sometimes does not work, but I do not detract from this gym since I have not found, so far, any The Gym that does not have problems with the Wi-Fi (and I have visited no less than 10).

Negative experience: Update! 4/6/2024 Now my mum has the sickness also all from me contracting what turns out to be (Covid19) from my last gym visit.i always bring my own towel to lay on benches and still got very ill, I just done a covid 19 test on mum it's positive for (covid19!) She is quite ill, gym group need to take full responsibility! for this?. no one in this household has had it before me joining Gym Group! Triton square, lack of vigorous cleaning let's it down. ive been going here now for the past 19 days, up till now ive never had a cold / flu in the past 8 year 4 day ago got the worst cold/ flu/ virus ive had in years after a gym session, they really need to up the cleaning game as ive been at different time of day and night and for the amount of people that go through this gym cleaning is not up to par, especially in this time of covid / and all the different virus goin around, when i asked staff was told its carbon neutral, that's why there is no disinfectant spray available to wipe done equipment, just sound like this company is trying to save money, and not really thinking about people's Health! as there is really no excuse for not having the facilities ie spray to clean, also there are no windows in this gym so air is trapped inside, it's a ideal environment breading ground for germs, if I could give 0 stars I would

Negative experience: There is a thief that works in this gym. She will go through your pockets in the changing rooms looking for cash. The staff are aware of her but have done nothing to safeguard vulnerable people that attend that gym. She should be removed from the gym to safeguard gym goers and signs put up to notify gym goers that their belongings are at risk when attending this particular gym. I Feel very disappointed and let down by the non chalant, patronising response to a blatant crime that has taken place in their building. And from reading other reviews, I see that this is not an isolated incident. Very very Poor management. ZERO STARS.

Fantastic experience: Great gym and brilliant space. I used it for the first time today and it is one of two gyms that I'll be using moving forward. Firstly, the most important aspect is the equipment and space which for a commercial gym is brilliant. It is over two floors and for the area, I believe it's the best gym in the area. The machines are good, the free weight area has ample space, I cannot see it getting overcrowded. There is more equipment to come. The Olympic platform area is also good. Irrespective of your level, there is enough here for a good workout unless you need dumbbells over 50kg. The changing rooms are a decent size. Basic shower and toilet area like most gyms in the price range, functional. In an ideal world, I'd like more locker space. The shower area and toilet area was clean at time of use which was nice as often they aren't. Lastly the staff, the ones I met including Archie were approachable, had a great demeanour and add to the atmosphere in a positive way. I normally tend to go to gyms where I can carry around a gym bag with my straps, belt, accessories etc. I asked Archie and he very politely told me that gym bags aren't allowed on the floor, the way he handled it and tone of the voice was perfect. That's how you should be dealing with people. Overall a brilliant space to train in, good atmosphere, staff and crowd. The staff seem more than happy to show people around so my advice is to check it out for yourselves wine see if it meets your needs. They offer yearly, monthly and day passes.

Negative experience: Be careful with your belongings at this gym! Had my locker broken into despite being padlocked and have not received much help from the gym to identify who may have broken in to the locker. Have reported this to the police who have contacted the gym but 2 weeks later and the gym are yet to provide any CCTV footage to the police.

Fantastic experience: I've dropped in here for a quick session while travelling, usually not the sort of person to leave a review (probably 10 in my entire life) Have to say staff here were so friendly and engaging, compared to other gyms, I spoke to Jack (remember the name, fantastic name) - Was really helpful and a pleasure to talk to. All in 10/10. Would definitely go out my way to go to this Gym over another one in the future just for the staff alone
