Fantastic experience: Well Alchemy has certainly changed my life, big statement but I couldn’t be happier with my choice to start training sessions with Alchemy Personal Training. I initially had an assessment with the owner, Rufus where we discussed my goals and what I wanted to achieve. When I was having my goals written down, I honestly thought this isn’t going to happen, I’ve been trying to get to my goals for years by myself but here we go.. fast forward a short 8 weeks and I have been transformed physically and mentally. There’s no way I would of got there with these guys pushing me, being booked in for the sessions is the best thing because if I had the choice to go to a gym by myself I would find a million excuses of why I can’t go this week. The trainers have been great, professional and considerate as my fitness levels were not the best and they haven’t pushed me to the point where I don’t want to come back, I look forward to my sessions and I get pushed beyond where I would normally train if I was by myself, I wouldn’t do half as much that’s for sure! By having the sessions booked in it’s kept me on track with my eating too. Get booked in, you won’t regret it. You’re a few weeks away from transforming your life!

Fantastic experience: Alchemy PT have been a fantastic, supportive friendly team who have really taken the time to understand my goals, motivation, triggers for support and have encouraged and pushed me to reach my goal of being the best version of myself on this transformation journey. Fantastic experience: I started with Alchemy because my fitness levels had dropped dramatically over the last few years. Rufus and Harvey were really understanding of the reasons and have correspondingly put together a programme that fits around my many work and family commitments. The exercises are challenging but perfectly tailored to my requirements and the health and nutritional advice has really helped. I am now enjoying being active again, eating healthily (whilst allowing myself the occasional treat) and seeing the results already. Fantastic experience: The guys at Alchemy help you get over that initial hurdle of getting back into exercise. Then, when in there, it’s as good as a private session than you’ll get anywhere, 1-2-1 learning with great, high quality PT’s. Very flexible with around the clock availability to meet everyone’s needs. The motivational push keeps coming outside of the gym too with words of encouragement, exactly what I needed. Fantastic experience: Having recently had a full ACL reconstruction, not only was I nervous about starting my training journey again but I had lost a lot of self confidence. I was scared of training. Rufus and his team Owen, Rebecca and Leyton supported me through my whole rehabilitation gently encouraging me to to be confident in my own ability and constantly reminding me that the success of the surgery would enable me to train once again. They were always mindful of my surgery and carefully pushed me to the max of my ability. Six months later I am fully back training at the level I was before my injury. I cannot thank them enough for the patience, encouragement and pushing me to be brave! We’ve had lots of swearing and laughs along the way! I cannot recommend them highly enough! Hate those challenges though!!!

Fantastic experience: My son very kindly gifted me a number of sessions so that I could start my journey back to some level of fitness. Rufus assessed me about 3 weeks ago and I have had only 6 sessions so far, already I have lost nearly a stone, my fitness and strength are already significantly better and my waistline is rapidly shrinking. I must confess I haven't stuck to the diet sheet I was given and give myself more nights off than we'd agreed but to be frank with such good progress I've enjoyed a celebration but the diet is good too. Sal has been excellent and works me to the point I would normally stop and a bit more but it is working and I enjoy the sessions, each one is different and we are working around a few issues and old injuries so that the exercises are tailored to me and I really appreciate that. I've suffered with weight, lack of sleep, lack of energy and poor digestion in the recent past and I really feel this regime has got me back on track. By contrast, | joined a gym last December went once then got Covid and I've never been back, there is always something else still that maintains the inertia but with an appointment and a coach I'm there and committed. Thanks Rufus and Sal I really appreciate your help!

Fantastic experience: In the past we’ve had gym memberships that we’ve rarely used so we decided to try Alchemy’s buddy option. We both spend long hours at a desk and we wanted to improve our fitness. From the start the service was excellent and we always have a laugh despite working really hard. We’d never work so hard on our own in a gym. We go 2-3 times a week and every session is different. Owen is motivating and really challenges us. Never thought I’d say it but I really enjoy our sessions!

Fantastic experience: I have been a client with Alchemy on and off for the past 10 years, having re-joined them again about 9 months ago. When you have the first call / assessment with Rufus he is open, honest and puts you at ease straight away, making you feeling instantly comfortable. In just 9 months, I am much stronger than I have ever been, with last week achieving several lift and throws, of the 30KG Med Ball over my shoulder! I have been trained by Rufus from time to time but my weekly sessions are run by Owen, Rebecca and Leighton. I can't speak highly enough of them. They each bring their own sporting passions into my own bespoke sessions and to give that extra boost of motivation, Rebecca has on more than one occasion, designed a session and done the circuits with me! No session is the same, which, when you go 3 times a week, must be really hard to do! As well as physically helping me, I have really appreciated the mental support too from all of them at one time or another and having someone you can trust to chat things through with and getting their perspective on things, has also really helped me. All the trainers are personable, friendly and fun - the sessions are hard work and they push you to limits you do not even know you have, but they are so much fun that I actually enjoy going to the gym, which is full credit to them team rather than my own motivation in making me want to go! You are not just getting a trainer, you are joining a very supportive large fun family, of not only the trainers, but from other clients too.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with Rebecca for 8 months. I train between 2 to 3 times per week. Alchemy helped me identify that with just a few tweaks to my training routine I would see significant results. Within a couple of months I felt leaner stronger and fitter. My muscle mass has increased and fat has reduced. My waist measurement has also improved and I feel in great shape. In the beginning I explained to Rufus and Rebecca what I enjoy and dislike about training and they put a plan together based on my preferences. Rebecca ensures each workout is varied which keeps the boredom at bay Rebecca is a very passionate trainer who has a strong work ethic and clearly loves her job and always has a smile on her face! Also from a logistical perspective the team always accommodate me if I need to rearrange sessions due to work commitments which really helps me out. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I guess I am an unusual customer for Alchemy as I was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease 12 years ago and I am still training. This is largely due to the Alchemy trainers who understand the condition and adapt my training accordingly with great attention to detail. With or without Parkinsons their professionalism is immense and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I am a keen golfer and around 4 years ago left unable to play due to severe disc problems with my back. I decided to start with Alchemy in an effort to build my core strength and hopefully enable me to play again. I vividly remember my first training session where I realised that all my previous gym work I had done had at best been sub optimal. Within a few weeks the Alchemy team had corrected my posture and also given me a detailed stretching programme to try and help with day to day management of my back. I really appreciated the way Owen, my trainer, took time to research my back issues and explain very clearly how the programme would help. I am pleased to say I am now back playing golf regularly and credit the Alchemy team, especially Owen, with this as I thought my playing days were over. I continue to enjoy the varied nature of the training at Alchemy and also the gym camaraderie. Albeit being one of the few Scotsmen in the gym during the Euro football championships this year was testing. I cannot recommend the service at Alchemy highly enough.

Fantastic experience: What makes Alchemy special is that it’s still privately owned. Rufus oversee’s every aspect of this intimate, but more than adequate private gym. Whilst the PT’s are young and fresh they are highly trained and take pride on their client relationships. In my case, being an older man it’s vital that they tailor the training to my needs which they do extremely professionally. Value to me comes from the experience and care I receive, with that in mind I have no hesitation in recommending Alchemy.

Fantastic experience: On 7th April this year I'd had enough of being overweight, unfit & unhealthy. I weighed 17 stone 3 pounds, I smoked 20 cigarettes per day and drank between 40-60 units of alcohol in the form of draught lager. My lifestyle & diet was atrocious and I firmly believe I was heading for an early grave. I gingerly stepped into the Alchemy studio feeling like a fish out of water. I'd never stepped foot in a gym in my life. I was met with a welcoming smile and a relaxed chat about what had brought me to the point of wanting to do something about it and what interests I had (if any) in sports. I learned that Anthony was a former amateur champion at boxing and it ignited my interest in signing up straight away with a goal of learning the basics of boxing. I started off training twice a week, doing light sparring sessions and gentle strength training. As my fitness levels grew and my passion for the beautiful science grew with it I found I wasn't having to work as hard as I thought at becoming fitter. I was actually enjoying it! I now weigh 13stone 3pounds. I've lost 4 stone in weight and have dropped to 16% body fat. I now run 5k in 25 minutes 8 seconds & 10k in 58 minutes 18 seconds. I've quit smoking, I drink a maximum of 10 units per week and I have the diet of an athlete. I intend to continue training with Alchemy to drop to 10% body fat and gain my amateur boxing license. The Alchemy team have also taught me how to gently change my weight loss diet into a sustainable healthy lifestyle and in turn maintain the goals I've achieved so far. Fantastic experience: I started back training in January 2014, since then iv'e lost 4 stone, dropped 14% body-fat and i am now officially back in the "normal" range for MY BMI.
