Fantastic experience: I retired recently and decided to join Sean Salingers gym. Great decision - Sean’s sessions are spot on. The early morning sessions get me up and set me up perfectly for the rest of the day. It’s a great mix of weights and aerobic exercise all delivered on time and in a really structured way and motivates me to return for more. I am definitely already feeling the benefits both physically and mentally and look forward more of the same.

Fantastic experience: After a day of crawling in the floor & looking after a 1 year old, I decided that I needed to get back to some exercise and routine around nutrition. It’s almost as if social media can read minds and I came across Sean Salinger fitness (& his wife Katie for my beloved Pilates). The atmosphere is great and everyone works hard and there is no “trying to be better than anyone else”. The workouts are varied and challenging- in more ways than one . I actually want to go to the gym now and workout.

Fantastic experience: Great friendly environment. Instruction is very clear and precise, sessions are challenging in a very good way. I am overweight and was keen at exercise in the past - this club has helped my mind which then allows me to focus on improving my health. Without the group training I would not have improved as much on my own in the last month - thank you.

Fantastic experience: I started training with Sean a couple of years ago as a way of losing a couple of pounds. More than anything I found the mental benefits of exercising in a group setting way outweigh the physical benefits- and that’s despite losing 2 stone. I’m in the best shape of my life despite being in my 40s, but more than that- no matter what mood I wake up in.. by the time I finish my session- I’m ready to take on the world!! No exaggeration that this has been life changing for me and I can’t recommend these sessions enough! Sean and the community he has built are amazing!

Fantastic experience: A month in and I am aching all over, but I feel stronger and fitter than I have done in a long time. 43 years old, a sedentary lifestyle and having not exercised for a long time (too long ) I joined out of necessity for health reasons. I was very, very apprehensive, but I needn’t have been - the other members have been so friendly and encouraging. Sean is a top guy, and has good banter making sessions fun despite how hard they are. Proof is in the pudding though, and my average resting heart rate has dropped 10 beats per minute and my blood pressure is in the normal range for the first time in a long time. Who knows, in time I might be able to reduce some of the hypertension meds too

Fantastic experience: Recovering from a recent illness I was looking for a bespoke package to improve my strength. Sean has been amazing …. Fantastic experience: I am so grateful that I stumbled upon Sean Salinger fitness. Having never been to a gym before I was apprehensive and had no idea where to start. Sean has provided a fitness program tailored to my needs and fitness levels. He guides me during all classes and provides enough support to give me the confidence to continue. Everyone attending is very friendly and supportive providing motivation both in person and online. There are a wide variety of classes available at times that I can easily fit around my schedule. I would highly recommend this service!

Fantastic experience: I'd been at many gyms before, but never really felt like I truly belonged there. Loads of big blokes lifting weights, no camaraderie or very little interaction with others. Just after summer 2022, I was feeling flat, struggling to commit to getting out riding, and stumbled across Sean's gym. Thought I'd give it a go, and albeit more expensive than standard gyms, I thought that might also make me more inclined to go. Here I am almost 18 months on, committing to at least 3 session a week, feeling better, healthier and all round stronger on a wellbeing front. That's thanks to the fab training sessions, but mainly to the true inclusion, connection and fun everyone has at the sessions. Sean is a great motivator, and the crew who train there really are a fantastic group!! Wouldn't opt to train anywhere else or with anyone else!!

Fantastic experience: Joined Sean Salinger fitness after 6 months out with an injury. It is a local gym with like-minded people who all have a goal. Sean is really welcoming and helps you in every session. I feel fit again and I know it's helping my wellbeing. Cannot recommend the facility enough...

Fantastic experience: SSF is a Gym for those that "don't do Gyms". I joined approx 3 months ago, and love it. For those that are looking for a Gym or fitness studio, but feel nervous. Don't, Sean and all the members are very welcoming regardless of your size/shape etc. We are all there to help and support each other, so come along.
Fantastic experience: I joined Sean a year ago and I never thought I would say I look forward to going to the gym! Having done every type of exercise going this is by far the best mixture of cardio, resistance and fun I have had! The class variety means that you can work it around your schedule and mix up your workouts each week or get yourself into a regular pattern! Sean is always there to help show you techniques and to push you to hit your goal. The ladies (and men) that go here are also what makes it 5 star everyone is there to support and cheer you on! It’s a fitness family! I feel fitter, stronger, more confident and have made some fab friends!

Fantastic experience: Sean’s gym has a great atmosphere and is a lovely community, with everyone being so supportive. I have never been able to stick to any gym or exercise routine for long but I have now been at Seans gym for over 12 months. Never though that lifting weights and working up a sweat was my thing but I have now become to love it! The classes are easy to follow and Sean is always about to make adaptations if required so you would never feel like you can’t keep up.

Fantastic experience: Joined in October 2022 after putting on weight and losing motivation to exercise. Initially joined for 6 weeks but, without hesitation, signed up to membership at the end of the trial period. I’ve lost around 12kg, gained fitness and improved self worth. The sessions are varied, but focussed and are designed to include all abilities. It has a real club/friendly feel and it has become a key part of my routine. It’s been a hugely positive & enjoyable experience

Fantastic experience: SSF is the best around I’ve been with at Unit 11 since Sept 2021, I was really really nervous stepping foot on my own but that soon disappeared once I arrived & worked out with the ladies I’m not just saying it but everyone is so so welcoming & just like yourself, we want to be better version of ourselves & you will get lots encouragement & fun from the team There are mixed sessions too, all sessions are adaptable too everyone’s ability, so don’t feel like you cannot achieve as YOU CAN Its a great feeling afterwards YOU DID IT Our coach Sean has extensive knowledge in exercise, nutrition, wellbeing with the extensive help of Katie who works extremely hard behind the scenes Give it a go & you will wish you found SSF a while ago Look forward to seeing you in the future

Fantastic experience: I have been training at Sean Sallinger fitness for over 18 months and it is by far the best gym I have attended. The community support from the other members is fantastic - it is so refreshing to train with other women who genuinely want to support you and want to see you do well. Sean adapts the training sessions regularly so you don’t get bored and always feel challenged - he is also very good at adapting any workout if you are carrying an injury, and the classes are suitable for all fitness levels and abilities. Sean also provides fantastic support on nutrition and you can book a 1-1 call if you feel you need extra support in that area. Since joining I have lost weight and feel mentally and physically stronger than ever. t is a fantastic gym with friendly, supportive members -I would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Been going for 5 months and it's so much better than the gym! Pushes you to work harder and reach your goals or fitness. Group of lads make you feel part of the group friendly. Fantastic experience: I have been going to unit 11 for over 2 years now. For me I have tried gyms and personal trainers and this fitness centre is a great blend of affordable PT led sessions with a reasonable number of other members. This means you get a PT checking technique and driving you in safety and the ability to work hard. At times very hard. I have used the 121 sessions to check in on fitness and advice. The benefits on your healthy mind should not be underestimated, working out 3-4 times a week helps me balance my busy schedule. Routine is key to make the difference. Give Sean a call, like I did, to check it's right for you and benefit from fitness, nutrition and better general wellbeing.

Fantastic experience: I’ve just finished a 6 week intro at the gym and have really enjoyed it. There’s a good mix of ladies only & mixed class times which work well around my working hours and a great mix of different sessions so you won’t get bored! The members of the gym have all been really welcoming and supportive, I’d definitely recommend it.

Fantastic experience: I'm not one for signing up to a gym, trying to self motivate and keep the sessions interesting/relevant so when I noticed some friends were down at Unit 11 under the guidance of Sean I signed up for the six week trial. Pretty much made my mind up in the first week that this was the way forward for me. The structured sessions and programmes, together with the support and camaraderie down there have literally changed my body and mind. I love it (even the 6am starts that work for my routine). Fantastic experience: In the four years I have been attending Sean Salinger Fitness at unit11 in Timperley I have enjoyed every minute of it. From the welcome I received the first time I attended from not only Sean but the guys who were there training also, it is nothing like a conventional gym where you are left in a room full of gym equipment and expected to just get on with it, Sean structures every session with care and if there are certain areas you want to concentrate on or some exercises you may struggle with due to injuries or poor movement Sean will adapt to suit the individual. The real key for me is everyone there is in the same boat and the encouragement you get not only from Sean but the guys training alongside you is incredible, Sean will also stucture a diet plan of realistic meals to help. I can't recommend Sean Salinger Fitness enough it has improved my fitness levels massively and anyone in there forties or above thinking of doing something about improving there fitness I would say get in touch with Sean. Fantastic experience: If you REALLY want to get into shape, then Sean is your man. His no nonsense training style helps you focus on the things you need to do to get your fitness back on track. Not only are the classes amazing but there is a whole host of online help, from nutrition to 'well being' advice. The other thing that stood out for me was the comradery amongst members, and at no point do you feel intimidated by members that might be fitter than you. Thanks Andy

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with Sean now for 6 months and it’s honestly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’ve tried every diet plan and joined lots of different gyms and PT’s over the years, but this is the first time I’ve actually enjoyed it! Sean is brilliant, a perfect mix of motivator, expert advisor and your biggest cheerleader….and the Unit 12 family is just the best.….everyone supports each other no matter which class you attend and it’s a great atmosphere where no one judges you. The variation in classes, which Sean switches up every month, means I actually look forward to going to my session, to work out with a bunch of friends and actually have some fun whilst getting fit! Thanks Sean, I feel better now than I have in years!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been thinking for a while I needed to pay more attention to my fitness, but didn’t know where to start & then I came across Sean Salinger Fitness and Unit 11. Sean’s approach is spot on & in Unit 11 you get the best of a personal training combined with the best of training in a like minded and supportive group. Unit 11 has it all. Men & Women only groups, mixed sessions, express 30 min sessions you can knock out before you start the rest of your day, 3-hour body blitz sessions for those looking for that extra bit of “fun” and plenty of support and info to help you outside Unit 11 from nutritional advice, meal planners, home workout plans, mindfulness routines and much more. I’ve felt welcome from day 1 and would highly recommend to anyone to give Unit 11 a try no matter where you are on your fitness journey.

Fantastic experience: Joing Unit 11 has been the best thing i ever did. It's been nearly 12 months now and i feel great, have noticed a huge positive difference in my mood, fitness and strength. I have lost weight i gained during lockdown and also since having my 2nd child, i am back to pre baby size/weight whilst also gaining muscle and changing my whole shape. Sean is brilliant and all the ladies are so supportive and friendly. Every class pushes you but it's also so much fun. Sean is always there for extra advice/help too. Unit 11 is something i'll be keeping as a part of my lifestyle for as long as i can!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to the gym for ages and couldn’t keep motivated and was losing the will to go. I saw Sean’s link and thought why not I’ll give it a go. Believe me when I say, thank god I did. I’m 5 weeks into a 6 week course and I’ve never looked back, the sessions are varied and challenging and Sean pushes you out of your comfort zone, I would never had done that in a gym. Get the heart monitor and your away, you’ll be trying to better your last ‘effort rate’ with every workout, it’s very addictive. Add a great group of people with the same mindset and you have the perfect training environment. I’m getting fitter and stronger than I’ve ever been, so get on board now and change your life

Fantastic experience: I joined Sean's group 8 weeks ago I needed to do something about my fitness levels and also to get my diabetes back under control. After an initial chat with Sean who I have found to be very knowledgeable and supportive I embarked on the programme and I have found hard but rewarding work in the time I've been on the programme I have lost 2kg in weight my diabetes levels have dropped to acceptable levels and my fitness levels are increasing week on week. To anyone thinking of joining I highly recommend you do you will gain from Sean's knowledge and enthusiasm and everyone in the group is also supportive and encouraging this without doubt has been one of my better decisions

Fantastic experience: Sean Salinger Fitness... What can I say!! Over the years I have been in many gym environments and I have to say this place is the best. This environment is friendly and relaxing but everyone still gives you the motivation & drive to push to your goals. Yes, it is hard work but you feel so much better for it after workout. The training is varied and pushes you to get stronger and fitter each time. I was coming on 27 stone when I joined and with the assistance of Sean I have started to see the wait drop steadily. A certain 5 stars from me....

Whatever the level of fitness you’re at, don’t worry because with all the workouts you can work at your own pace and build it up as your fitness improves (and Sean will adjust it for any injuries etc) – it’s not overwhelming in the slightest and you’ll see yourself make progress very quickly. The sessions are varied, well designed and changed every few weeks to keep it fresh and challenging, the progress I’ve made has surprised me, my fitness levels have literally rocketed and feel great! – Thanks Sean.

Fantastic experience: Sean Salinger Fitness is my wellness prescription for me; an investment in my health and well-being for now and in the future. Regular training (3 times a week) with lovely, down the earth, “normal” people just trying to be the best version of themselves, is the best mood and fitness booster ever!! Sean tailors the group training to your individual needs, always mindful of any injuries and concerns, so it’s really nothing to be scared of and actually quite a lot of fun!

Fantastic experience: Great bunch of girls all hard working enthusiastic and supportive. Sean is very professional and encouraging. Having been away from any sort of training for the last 5 years I'm amazed how easily I have got back into it and all I can say its mostly down to a great trainer and everyone around me.

Fantastic experience: This is a friendly down to earth place that offers great support whatever stage you're at .Top class equipment and supervision to use it. Advice with regards to lifestyle too. Sessions are all varied so not boring Very impressed with pre and post session stretches too , although Sessions are demanding I haven't had aching muscles next day.

Fantastic experience: If you want a no nonsense, down to earth, supportive training venue, this is the place. Loads of sessions available, online support, online workouts, nutrition plans, wellbeing and mindfulness all in addition to training sessions at salinger fitness. Highly recommend this programme, it's basically a PT 6 days a week.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended fitness programme. My journey so far. I started the 6 week programme 3 weeks ago, I have attended 7 of the 45min morning sessions, missed one week as away. Great way to exercise and 45mins go in a flash. Always a new workout everytime. Great motivation with Sean and the ladies. Wore a dress yesterday I'd not worn in a year, too tight!!! But felt much comfier now. So after this mornings session i did my measurements, I've lost 1/2" off my waist!! I have lost around my arms, thighs and hips and across my shoulders . Not achieved that in last 10yrs. I'm not weighing myself going by inch loss, and how my clothes fit, my own personal choice. I'm eating less, healthier and more mindfully. The exercise has helped suppress my appetite too, and I'm not snacking all the time! Plus not so out of breath and good energy levels too. I have set myself a 12 month fitness challenge with Sean. Love the boxing, now have my own gloves. Bring it on Ps must cancel the gym membership - the one I pay for but never go .

Fantastic experience: Sean's gym is a great place to workout. As a trainer he provides structured workouts that are varied and challenging, and he always has modifications for injuries or ladies just starting their fitness journey. The other ladies are welcoming and friendly and everyone supports and encourages each other during the sessions. The meal plans and online support that is available is a brilliant extra that you dont get from a standard gym membership. I would definately recommend that you give this gym a try.

Fantastic experience: This is not a gym. It's a fully immersive program for self improvement. Fitness, nutrition, wellbeing all with that personal touch. I have attended for a number of years and for me it's all about training. It's extremely varied and scalable so theres no excuses and you can't get bored. The kit is top notch Concept 2 gear. You get out what you put in. If you're finding it easy then you aren't pushing yourself hard enough. Sean is always available for help and guidance. No judgement, only encouragement.

Fantastic experience: AMAZING! One word to describe Sean Salinger Fitness is AMAZING. I joined Sean Salinger Fitness nearly a year ago. I have found whole experience outstanding. I can guarantee you will not find that help, atmosphere and support at any gym. There is so much help and information available from Sean its unbelievable. Sean has been a great support to me through out in the time of highs and lows. Great motivational chats and honest opinions. I have to mention, during the lockdowns Sean has setup online classes for with increased frequency and even lent us his equipment during lockdowns (to me only some who cares about you can do that, thanks Sean). Last but not least the group of guys are so friendly and helpful it's just unbelievable, trust me you need each others support when going through sessions at unit 11 :-)

Fantastic experience: I joined SSF in Jan 2020 weighing in at over 19 stone. Today I’m down to 15 stone. The guys over at Unit 11 are brilliant and very supportive. It’s not just all about training here, Sean will support you with all aspects. If it’s diet, fitness, mental health or even just advise he would be more than happy to take a call or text and speak to you. I would recommend Sean Salinger Fitness to anyone who wants to change, this is not a gym, it’s structured sessions either online or at the unit. Fantastic experience: BEST DECISION i've ever made. LIFE CHANGING experience. I joined SSF in Jan'19 after wasting far too much time thinking i could do something on my own. I was very overweight, fitness levels were zero and the thought of stepping into a gym was scary - 2 mins into my first class and it all went away from my head. Sean is just the best. He has created a superb training environment where no one judges and everyone encourages and supports you. You will never feel out of place. You'll make good friends that will support you on your journey and you will LOVE going into your classes! (And yes, this comes from someone who used to hate exercising) He adapts all training to suit all levels of fitness but this doesn't mean you'll have it easy! He's constantly developing new training programmes to push you to where you need to be. However, it is not all about exercises, his programmes cover fitness, mindset and nutrition and you'll learn you can't focus on onw without the other 2. During my time at SSF(including 2 lock downs!) i've lost 4 dress sizes and so much weight, my fitness levels are fantastic and I've made great friends. I feel fab, healthy, fit, energised, motivated...a much better me! My life has definitely changed for the better and i will always be grateful to Sean and the SSF family for that No matter what your sex, age, shape, fitness levels are. Fantastic experience: I am been a member of Unit 11 for just under a year. Before joining I would start my weight loss journey then gave up. With the help and support of Sean I am now the fit and healthy person I was meant to be. The classes are varied and cater for all abilities with a fantastic website that covers home workouts recipes and meditation. The unit is a such a welcoming place with fantastic ladies which encourage each other every step of the way.

Fantastic experience: I joined SSF on a six week course not expecting to much. I’ve been an on/off slimming club member for twenty years and given exercise a go on many occasions but never had results and certainly didn’t enjoy it. I was about 4 weeks in and didn’t go one night and I actually missed it, it was such a weird feeling. Three months in and I’m still going and actual look forward to going,my fitness has improved and to top it off I’m starting to see results in weight loss and body shape and even better so are other Id definitely recommend this gym to anybody.Sean is so encouraging and the group support each other and are very welcoming.

Fantastic experience: I have been with Sean Salinger Fitness for just over a year. I was apprehensive when I first started in the ladies size 18 plus group but both Sean and the ladies in the group made me so welcome and I haven’t looked back. I feel so much more healthier and fitter. The support you get from Sean is second to none and he will reply to any questions you have. He has certainly gotten me through lockdown with the online workouts via zoom, the Friday night quizzes and the Facebook live videos. The monthly recipes that are added to membership portal are varied, healthy and tasty and these, together with the workouts, whether it is at Unit 11, via zoom or pre-recorded on the membership portal, will certainly help you to get to your goals. There are also lots of motivational items available on the membership portal too. Unit 11 is not only there for its members but also for the community as well. We’ve raised money for local charities via our ‘Row to Tokyo’ challenge and we collected food/items for the local food bank. A big thank you to Sean for helping me to help myself smash my first goal (to fit into my mother of the bride outfit) and to stand proud at my daughter’s wedding. Now for my next goal!

Fantastic experience: Not been with Sean very long but absolutely love everything he does. Workouts and nutrition are easy to understand and his website is fabulous, loads of really good stuff on there. Going to the gym, for me, doesn't work as I just look at the clock which never seems to move. Sean's programmes genuinley seem to fly by. Almost half way through his 14 day body transformation programme and the weight is falling off quicker than I can believe (and, this time, not by following a fad "quick fix" diet). Feel great and motivated from the minute I'm out of bed and that is far different from how I felt before. The best thing I could recommend Sean for is his communication. Any questions, he responds almost immediately every time which is great if you need some quick food advice (which I did last night), so it's really like having your own personal trainer but at a fraction of the cost. I've spent a lot of money on rubbish in my time, but this is the best gift I could give myself. Strongly recommend giving him a go!!

Fantastic experience: Sean and the Team at Unit 11 have made me for the first time EVER enjoy exercising. The sessions are always challenging but the enjoyment comes with the fantastic atmosphere he has created. It is not just exercising Sean and the team help with, it is also diet and wellbeing. I have been training with the ladies group for nearly 4 months now and have seen a phenomenal improvement in my fitness, diet and health as well as a 22lb weight loss. No matter your size or fitness levels I strongly recommend giving this a go.

Fantastic experience: Unit 11 changes peoples lives. I started 18 months ago, and turned my life around. High blood pressure obese, out of breath with any form of exertion. With the help of Sean and his motivational way of delivering training and support, I have shed 3 and a half stone. Blood pressure down to normal, both mentally and physically in a fantastic place. Over this period I have received support from existing members, and now happy to lend support to new members.

Fantastic experience: I joined Sean's 6 week programme a year ago and quickly realised how different this is to normal gyms. Sean is great at providing challenging classes that work brilliantly at Unit 11 or online. He constantly challenges and motivates you and I can honestly say this has transformed my life. I have dropped 3 stone and feel fitter, healthier and happier. The whole atmosphere from Sean and all the members is very welcoming and the support offered on diet and wellbeing is just another level. The way Sean can take a class that challenges all the attendees is a skill. Even the warm ups and warm downs work as I have not suffered any injuries since joining even though my fitness was poor in the early days of my membership. I would not hesitate to recommend Sean Salinger Fitness to anyone interested in a healthier life.

Fantastic experience: Hi I joined Sean Salinger fitness around 2 months ago and I have got to say it's a great group and Sean is always encouraging and supportive. The classes are great and everyone is catered too depending on their level of fitness. The group may not be for everyone but everyone is always welcomed and encouraged,plus you can have a laugh which I think is a bonus as it's always better if you can have a laugh whilst getting fitter and healthier. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to start with Sean Salinger fitness.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic Men's Fitness Group for the over 35s. Boxing, circuits, weights and whole-body fitness sessions staged on a regular rota. Sean is a brilliant trainer, who fosters an inclusive, supportive atmosphere, which is based around a clear sense of community and positive mindset. As someone who hadn't set foot in a gym for at least ten years, I'd most definitely recommend Sean Salinger Fitness, as my entire perspective about fitness and pursuing a healthier lifestyle has been fundamentally changed by my experience.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of this gym on and off (due to work) for quite a while now and out of all the gyms I have used over the years this has been the one that has given me real results. An excellent mix of general cardio, weights and boxing keeps things interesting so you never get stuck doing the same thing week in week out. Sean provides good motivation, good advisory on diet and health, and has an excellent understanding of each member personally. Couple that to a great sense of togetherness between the members and you have something that I feel is unique. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: I joined Sean’s two weeks ago and having explained my lack of fitness and also being a diabetic he was able to discuss the best approach for me. His knowledge is extensive and he has motivated me to make some changes in my lifestyle, the classes aren’t easy but he encourages you and pushes you without going to far. The overall experience is great as all the people training there at different levels encourage and advise you going along. Unit 11 is the place to be .
Fantastic experience: Joining the size 18 plus fitness club with Sean has been the best thing I’ve ever done! I’ve been a member for a year and have seen so many positive improvements in myself! So many more than I expected. I have lost almost 4 stone in weight and 3 dress sizes. My self confidence has increased immensely and my mental health is so much better! The community that Sean has created is wonderful to be a part of! The ladies in the classes are so lovely and supportive! I have never once felt self conscious whilst training. Sean’s support during the classes and from one to one phone calls has been invaluable! He has given advice on nutrition, modified exercises to suit my ability and spurred me on numerous times when I wanted to quit. This program has changed my life and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough!
Negative experience: This is my opinion only from what I experienced. Unfortunately, I have to give this place a 1 star. I attended a few classes and did not find what I was looking for. It’s not made for everyone. Classes are organised but there’s no motivation for you to keep coming back, and that’s why I paid the fee to join up. Unfortunately I wasted my fees, that’s my fault, but I feel that I could have been encouraged to come back. I just feel like I was robbed, I would not recommend this place and would definitely not be returning. Best of luck.
