Fantastic experience: Had the privilege of training here for a couple of years and don't have a bad word to say about it. Started training in 2012 so have seen lots of gyms and this has to be the best I've trained at. Caters to day 1 white belts, established practitioners and seasoned competitors. Lots of gi and no-gi classes throughout the week. They also have a great women's presence on the mats. Tom and Chelsea are amazing coaches, and promote a healthy and welcoming culture. Pack a white gi and get down, you won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: Great club. They have a fantastic range of coaches and classes. It's always clean, and you always feel welcome. I came from another club after having a few years off and soon fell back in love with the sport. I was struggling to train at my old club due to my busy life, but at Escapology they have classes every day of the week, and every evening midweek so I've been able to get back to it. Really haven't got a bad word to say, just need to get my kids on the mats now! Oss!

Fantastic experience: Been a while since I've attended a class at Escapology, but I trained there for one year as a white belt in 2022. It was awesome. Negative experience: The reviews are misleading, I'm not sure if any of these people have attended the gym more than once or if the reviews are written by people who compete with the gym. But compared to other gym cultures, the vibes are very strange. Prices aren't featured on the website as it seems it varies from person to person. Since the opening of the gym until present. Expensive prices per month, heavily influenced to purchase gear from them and everything else. Including second hand items. Strict requirement from gym to only wear white Gi's for such a small gym that is relatively unknown. Facilities have awful leaks, from outside coming in and for the price they charge you'd think it would be repaired. It is run more like a business than a club. No there are no professional cleaners as such unless you class the instructors cleaning the mats as professional. I'd tell you to try it out for yourself and decide regardless. I think with all the issues listed I believe it is because there is a lack of gyms in Cambridgeshire in this area and most people don't know what the art is really about and how these kinds of gyms should be run. Great feats from the owners and social media page but doesn't translate to their gym unfortunately for me. So if I come back to train while on holiday it won't be this gym for me. Good luck! OSS

Fantastic experience: Such a great dojo so welcoming and friendly everyone there that trains and coaches are so helpful and nice my kids love it there highly recommended if looking to start BJJ

Fantastic experience: This place is tremendous. Very large space that manages to be warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The waiting area is well furnished and the artwork is bold yet tasteful. It's the only building on this estate that has flower boxes out front. The people are a joy to train with and Tom and Chelsea are as adorable as they are knowledgable. The whole place is cleaned by professional cleaners every day. You can also buy Gi's, rashguards, tape ect in house. We get a lot of visitors from other gyms which is always nice, so come on down.

Fantastic experience: Went on an early morning trial session. I have trained in other BJJ gyms before, and my first experience in here was fantastic. People were respectful, and friendly. The place is not big, but it is clean, the mat is in perfect condition and the air was fresh even after training for one hour. The session was carried out by a brown belt, good explanation of the techniques and overall a good structure. Even considering the early morning!

Fantastic experience: I’ve started my journey in to BJJ in this place and I can not recommend enough. They have the best coaches and they help you to achieve your goals. The place is cleaned and you feel the friendly atmosphere. Go there and try, you will not regret it.

Fantastic experience: Probably the best BJJ gym in Cambridgeshire - possibly the whole of East Anglia. Facilities - clean, new mats, nice toilet facilities, space for kids to hang out. Instruction - top rate from world class competitors. Training partners - friendly and willing to help.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic place, world class coaches, great team mates all in a clean professional gym. If you live anywhere near Cambridge and want to try out Brazilian JiuJitsu or if you’ve been doing it for years and want to improve your game I highly recommend Escapology. I’ve trained at a few different clubs over the years and I have to say this is hands down the best one. There is a solid curriculum, great competition training and plenty of chances to ask questions and get accurate, thought out answers.

The best part about this place is the training the professors give to my daughter and all the other kids. They give encouragement, new skills and really bring the best out in them in a friendly, fun environment. I can't praise them enough.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of this club now for 8 months and it’s not hyperbole to say that it has been a life changing experience for me. It has a wonderful family atmosphere, no cliques, no egos and excellent tuition from world class instructors; Tom and Chelsea. I’ve made friends, learned some skills and lost 19 lbs in weight. I’ve even competed in a tournament at 44 years old. The gym is clean and well kitted out with good parking facilities. A+++
