Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place. Best gym in the area for sure. They keep investing in the place and equipment all the time and it just keeps getting better and better. Really good price compared to the chain type gyms. So glad I joined and it’s open 24 hrs/365! Staff are great and there’s a great atmosphere as they don’t tolerate any of the behaviour I have seen in other gyms. Really love going there and have learned a lot since I have joined. It’s nice to have a gym where the staff and proprietors are approachable and genuinely appear to care about the users experience in every aspect rather than just wanting the fees! This is how all gyms should operate! Well done Guys

Fantastic experience: Without a doubt the best gym in the area. I had trialled a few other local gyms but nothing comes close in terms of range and availability of equipment, even at peak times. The music is great, and the overall atmosphere is just perfect. Friendly members and staff make it a great place to train, and it's a motivating environment to train hard.

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym, awesome staff, great members and all the equipment you could ask for (and more continually added!). Many additional amenities including JJ’s Barbers, food from Fuelled by Katie, Willow Beauty Spa, sauna, tanning machine and ice bath all under one roof. One of the best gyms in the country in my humble opinion and welcoming to absolutely anyone of any ability! Get yourself down you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: THE top gym in Carlisle by car, beautifully set out, an abundance of machines and free weights to suit all training styles. Excellent functional area and other top facilities on site. Extremely knowledgable and friendly staff who always offer their time if needed. Parking is on site with lots of room, highly recommended, and anyone who’s trained here will agree.

Wether you want to keep yourself to yourself or make friends for life it really is upto you in Shack, being a member has genuinely upped my training game and I couldn’t be more chuffed to train there.

Fantastic experience: this gym has soul :) I always feel so welcome here, it's real and I feel genuinely appreciated as a member. They are always investing in new kit, and listening to what people actually want. There's also some excellent playlists for my inner emo and I feel right at home.

Found my motivation to train hard has increased in the ~6 months since I moved away from a commercial gym. You can really see where your membership goes as the facilities are always being improved :)

Fantastic experience: One stop shop for all your fitness needs with a good variety of free weights, machines and cardio equipment. Sunbed, sauna & ice bath are a brilliant addition. 10/10 friendly staff and pts and not to mention the variety of supplements available.

Fantastic experience: I’ve trained at strength shack for the last few years and enjoyed every session, after training in powerlifting and dabbing my hand in strongman strength shack covers all bases with the kit and can cater to whatever your goal may be. Dan and the team are always very welcoming and polite, they are happy to help at the drop of a hat whether it be spotting to helping with supplement information to much more. Ive personally had many good experiences and went from strength to strength here at strength shack. The atmosphere is second to none and other members are kind, supportive and serious about training! Another great thing that needs mentioning is that Dan is always adding new bits of kit and analyses what works and what doesn’t, the gym always has the most up to date modern kit. Basically in a nut shell if you’re serious about training you need to be training at strength shack.

Fantastic experience: The type of atmosphere that makes you want to train. Not just to tick the box of “I’ve been to the gym today”’ All the plate loaded and pin selected kit that you could possibly need, with a good playlist that is ACTUALLY update frequently.

Fantastic experience: Can pay per session which is great as was in area for the day and had some time to occupy, lots of the other gyms in area seem to be membership only Plenty of parking and guy was really helpful and friendly when I arrived The gym has good modern equipment like some of the commercial gyms but unlike them has a good atmosphere like you do with the old school gyms, good music playing gets you in the mood for a workout Definitely recommend

Negative experience: I'm disappointed that I would have to buy the full membership to be able to access the cold plunge. I would appreciated it if the company would one day consider that some people such as myself. Would only like to use the facility mentioned cold plunge not to be forced to pay for the main membership. I hope that in the future this firm would fix this issue until then I will refrain joining. Although the gym has a nice atmosphere and the staff are freindly. My only disappointment is what I have previously mentioned.
