So old school I'm sure I've seen Rocky and Arnie in there If your after a poncey corporate gym don't bother. Cyrus the owner and his staff are all really good people and very helpful. Fantastic experience: Awesome gym! People of different ages and levels of fitness attend. Plenty of equipment, very reasonably priced and staff really welcoming & helpful. Other gym users are respectful and tidy away after themselves. As a female gym user it can sometimes feel intimidating being surrounded by men but the guys at Sunset are always friendly and the whole place has a very relaxed feel about it. I would thoroughly recommend joining.

As a competitive bodybuilder I thrive in an environment where people are passionate and serious about their training, which is definitely the case at sunset. A great selection of kit and plenty of alternatives if machines are in use. There's something for everyone whatever your goals are. I was made feel very welcome from day 1. Cyrus and his team are friendly and helpful. A good level of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility. The fact that it's open 24hrs is a massive plus too. Would highly recommend checking it out

The atmosphere is perfect for me and drives me to work hard, being surrounded by others passionate about fitness. I've been going to Sunset for a little over a year and Cyrus has really put a lot into improving and updating the equipment. Incredible value for money.

Fantastic experience: This is a great old school gym with all the equipment you need for a good workout. I was working away for a short period and used the gym early morning. The guys/girls who trained when i was there were very welcoming and friendly from day one. Cyrus (the owner) was very helpful when I signed up and a genuinely nice guy! Can't recommend this gym enough whether you're local, holidaying, or working in the area.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of this gym for over 30 years. I have always loved the old school feeling and think this is one of the gyms great strengths. Absolutely everyone is made welcome no matter what your start point may be...newbie or hardened veteran. Vast array of free weights and machines. If you can't build the physique you desire here then you won't anywhere. Plenty of cardio equipment upstairs and even a climbing wall. Big plus point for those who work shifts or find it difficult to find time during "normal hours" is the 24/7 membership option. Owner, Cyrus, is friendly and approachable and an experienced person trainer. Free tea/coffee supplied in reception so you can socialise before or after workout. Best gym in Scarborough in my opinion.

Fantastic experience: Old school gym with a thoughtful vibe. You wouldn’t believe the amount of equipment fitted in this place! Some great pieces and the membership price is great. Open 24/7 too which means I can train despite antisocial work hours. I always feel welcome and involved yet never pestered. Quite the fan as you can tell but as a competitive bodybuilder it’s important for me to find a home in a gym and sunset has been perfect!

Fantastic experience: I joined as a short term fix for fitness whilst temporarily visiting home for a few weeks in Scarborough, and i couldn’t have been happier. The gym is tidy, clean, has everything you could need in equipment, and it’s great value for money.

Fantastic experience: Little more old school than I'd usually like however all of the staff were so friendly and approachable and helped me with any problems I had. Had all the equipment needed and a special hip thrust machine I haven't seen at any other gym that I've used before which came in very handy, and it's the cheapest gym for students I could find in Scarborough which makes it even better! If you don't like the older school style then its probably not for you but for anyone else I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I joined the gym after suffering some injuries and found the team to be really friendly and helpful. The equipment is comprehensive and well maintained .Cyrus went out of his way to offer tailored exercises to improve my limited flexibility. As a result I am slowly improving. I have also been impressed with Richard who is a personal trainer who has begun to advise me on how I can continue to maintain my strength and flexibility. I would recommend Sunset 24/7 to anyone, be they young or old. You will get the advice and encouragement to help achieve your goals

Fantastic experience: I first joined Sunset 5 years ago. I had been struggling with social anxiety and agoraphobia for 2 years before I joined so it was a scary step! I owe the friendly and encouraging atmosphere at Sunset for helping me get overcome those to a large extent. I left for a couple of years due to family circumstances - tried a couple of other gyms, but no where came close to the atmosphere in Sunset... so of course I came back, even though it's not the closest gym to me. The staff acknowledge every person that walks through their doors, which is lovely to see. All members also help keep the gym atmosphere friendly and non-jugemental. You can tell when people care about the whole person, rather than just getting people in, and it's clear Sunset values each and every member. I really appreciate the money and effort that is also going into making the gym better at the moment, too. Thanks for all you do, Cy and team!

Fantastic experience: Every thing is OK oh until I got called racist for asking someone to take a call out of the gym as they were to loud there were loud for at least 3 quarters of a hour .

Ill say get the missing stickers on the equipment without stickers to guide newbies to the gym on how to use and what to use each equipment for. Fair enough, most of the equipment had/has stickers. Big ups to the team for excellent service.

Sunset accommodated this for me at a great price. Every time I went in there was a different member of staff but still as friendly as the last. Definitely made my holiday more manageable. Alex is amazing she's helped me achieve so much. Mel is lovely and friendly and great to chat to also very caring. The new guy Sean to seems like a really nice genuine person and very helpful. Always giving me tips and advice. So glad I found this place.

Fantastic experience: Considering I have been a member here for the last couple of years and love everything about this gym I wanted to leave a well deserved 5 star review. It’s open 24/7 which is great and means that although there are lots of members it never seems to get too busy at any one time especially early mornings and during the day when I tend to go. It’s got tons of weights/equipment and every machine imaginable and the staff and other gym users are super polite and friendly and will go out of their way to offer help and advice whenever needed which leads to a great atmosphere. Keep up the good work guys, highly recommended!!
