Fantastic experience: Myself and my 2 daughters attended classes here. The environment is fun and friendly. with a mixture of classes for all age groups and family classes. Even fun days. Mr Dowden is very knowledgeable and patient. I would not hesitate to recommend Dowdens Martial Arts to anyone if its just a fitness class, or self defence classes or looking to get fully involved in the sport. Mr Dowden and students will make you welcome. The centre is inclusive. The best thing is that no matter what you are doing Mr Dowden does make it enjoyable and fun so that you do want to go back even if you maybe like me and completely out of shape

Fantastic experience: Dowdens martial arts has been great for my daughter. She has been attending 2 classes per week for a year now and the difference in her confidence is very apparent. The level of instruction is very age appropriate, focusing on life skills and behaviour for the youngsters and you can tell the difference with attention levels and manners etc. All at a very competitive price compared to other clubs!

Fantastic experience: Having been to many seminars at Dowdens Martial Arts, I have always found the Dojang clean and equipped to a very high standard. Mr Dowden conducts his self to a very high standard this can be seen with the standard of his students. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dowden Martial Arts to anyone beginners or experienced Taekwon-Do practitioners.

Fantastic experience: I initially started martial arts with my daughter when she was very young and i was in my 40s at the time so we could do something together and found myself joining in as it was just what i was looking for having tried the gym(boring) ..running( tedious unless being chased by a mad axeman) . Taekwondo is yoga,core fitness,mental fitness, speed training,power training ..list is endless..and above all great fun as Ashley's classes were pretty much at your own pace without being too laid back .. but he could run you ragged if that's what you wanted :). First class training and the man is a credit to the sport . Forget the gym and all that nonsense as Dowden's martial arts rolls all your needs into one ..Taekwondo

Fantastic experience: Visited this School to conduct a seminar and grading, recently. The first thing that is immediate to a new visitor is how welcoming all the students are. The facility is top class, and the instructor, Mr Dowden is excellent, providing a very high standard of instruction. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Not only do the kids learn taekwondo they also learn personal safety , team work,respect and discipline. It's wonderful for their self esteem and the 1st rule of Kubz is to be nice and kind. That in itself is a great thing to learn. Also if they do well at school they get a stamp in their book as a reward. Again a great thing to encourage them to do well at school too.

Fantastic experience: My two boys have been attending for a year and have not only learnt taeqwando but also respect. It's a fab program for all ages. Mr Dowden and his staff are great with the kids. It's like a wee second family.

Fantastic experience: Having trained at a number of TKD schools over the years, I have to say that WMAC is by far the best. Mr Dowden is an excellent International grade Instructor, with a wealth of experience gained from training with some of the top TKD instructors throughout the world. The facilities within WMAC are first class, catering from young children to older adults, with dedicated instructors for the younger students. The centre has the most comprehensive stock of training equipment from punch & kick pads to protective body guards. A viewing area has recently been added to the centre with Wi-Fi, allowing parents the opportunity to watch on, or to keep children occupied while their parents train. All in all WMAC is a fabulous local TKD training centre, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in taking up a martial art, or even just looking to get fit. The centre usually has start up incentives, to allow new students a no obligation look at what is on offer, ranging from free lessons to a free training suit.

Fantastic experience: I have joined the school quite a few years back now. My youngest has joined also. It is a disciplined, safe and friendly environment. Loads of flexibility for training for all different schedules as the school is open Mon to Sat and offers classes in the morning and evening. I would recommend it not only if you wish to do martial arts, or self defense or getting fit for yourself or your child but also if you are looking for a joint parent-child training and having fun experience.
