Fantastic experience: Fantastic Gym, best one in Darlington without a doubt, great people, good banter, no mirrors, helpful PT's, nothing is a bother, goid advice, great classes and camaraderie all round.

Fantastic experience: Belting gym the equipment range is superb the best gym around, I travel 12 mile each way to attend this cracking place. Keep up the hard work lads.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic Forge Fitness! I got the day pass for £7 (I'm not from the area), and Matt Innes gave me the normal gym waivers to sign so I could get training. He was really kind, gave me a quick tour round, and a chat about equipment I didn't know. Forge Fitness has all the equipment and space you need for doing weights/ cardio / plyometrics, and the only place you'll find a mirror is in the changing rooms. I would go again if I'm back in the area.

Fantastic experience: 5 stars are not enough for this gym - I would give it 100! ⭐️ Forge is incredibly well stocked with equipment, free weights and machines but there's plenty of space and never feels crowded. Large astroturf areas and there's always a class to suit me. Easy free parking, changing rooms, etc. The best part of all are the people. This is such a friendly, down to earth gym, both staff and other members. Dave and the PTs are all knowledgable, helpful, and they genuinely care. It's a community. I especially love my PT sessions with Matt! He's amazing and always very supportive. And women, this is a totally safe space for us - there's zero sexism and everyone is just treated equally. Ages, genders, ethnicities, body types - this is an inclusive space for everyone. I can't recommend it enough. If you're looking for a gym in Darlington, you'd be mad not to join Forge.

Fantastic experience: The perfect gym for anyone who wants to stay away from the commercial ones with all the 16 year olds and mirrors everywhere. Decent price for a quality gym with top standard equipment. All staff are trained professional PTs as well as friendly and approachable people always willing to have a laugh. Never too busy, only tiny downside is the opening hours on weekends but it's only because they treat their staff to the time off they deserve.

Fantastic experience: The best gym around by far, a vast array of top quality equipment, doesn’t matter what level you’re at or what your focus is they’ve got the kit. Friendly helpful staff, great atmosphere, never too busy either.

Fantastic experience: The best gym I have ever been too. Visited this gym a couple days ago and was blown away by the quality of the gym. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the quality of machinery was second to none with the likes of Atlantis, nautilus nitro series, Cybex and other high quality brands. The music was great to get a good workout in but at just the right volume if you want to use your own headphones. I would high recommend this gym and give it a 10/10, if you have the time to visit this gym I suggest you do you will not regret your decision.

Fantastic experience: Joining Forge late last year was definitely the right move for me. Clean and presentable gym with a vast amount of training equipment available. Decent tunes to motivate you into hitting set training goals.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member since before Forge was even Forge! I’ve never managed to keep up regular exercise, and I certainly never enjoyed it, but joining small group training and discovering that weightlifting is something that really works for me was life changing. The gym is always clean, tidy (we put our kit away!), the staff are all brilliant people, and so are the members. Forge is the best kitted gym for strength training in the region, but it’s not all muscle Mary’s leaning all over the equipment you want to use, posing in mirrors and fannying about on phones! It’s the most women friendly gym I’ve ever used, strong is strong at Forge, there’s no ‘strong for a girl’, and there’s a no d*ckheads policy. We don’t have a women’s area, because we don’t need one. Our gym is for everybody and for every body. I’ve tried half the gyms in Teesside at some point or another. Lots of them give you mad deals to join, but Forge is the only place I’ve stayed.

Fantastic experience: I Have been a member at forge fitness now for over a year and this gym is the best gym in Darlington. They run classes every morning and every evening the Pt,s are fantastic and it has a fantastic friendly atmosphere. If you are looking for a gym you gotta try this first and I assure you you will not go anywhere else 10/10

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym. All of the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The equipment is very well maintained and there are a variety of machines to challenge all of your muscle groups. A very welcoming ethos pervades the facility (see photos).

Fantastic experience: Don't know what Mr Brown is on about. Since I joined the gym all of those who attend have been nothing but friendly and courteous towards an old guy trying to keep fit. They couldn't have been any more helpful. Recommend The Forge to all - young, mature, super fit or wanting to keep fit! Thanks David and everyone there

Fantastic experience: I recently joined Forge after moving to Darlington, and it is easily one of the best gyms I have trained in. Excellent value for money with lots of classes and a wide range of high quality equipment which is constantly being improved. The gym has a very relaxed and non - judgemental atmosphere and the staff seem to genuinely care about making the gym suitable for everyone and making them feel welcome. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: Have just started at this gym in the last few weeks, and it's great! All the staff, particularly David, are so kind and helpful, and I have been made to feel very welcome. I don't feel out of place at all, despite not being the fittest, quite old, and with a couple of health issues. Hopefully I'll be able to continue working out there for a long time!

Fantastic experience: I have just joined Forge, the gym has a great range of equipment and is very clean. The machines are new to me, as I have always used free weights. I’m enjoying the change and the staff have been really helpful and friendly.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member at Forge for sometime and it’s always been a great place to train with fantastic kit and fabulous PTs Over the last year I have been suffering with an issue to my knee - could barely walk and the team down at Forge have made it so easy for me to train so I could still get my workouts done, either by adapting the workout, helping me work through remedial exercises, helping with the kit or just making me smile on days when it wasn’t going so well. The other members at Forge also deserve a mention as they make it a great place to train, friendly and hard working it’s like one big family. If you haven’t been to visit you really should whether your new to working out or at the top of your game there’s something here for everyone and the help and assistance you need to get you where you want to go.

Fantastic experience: In 2019 I would never of walked into a gym, so got myself a PT after a good stint till 2023 things were going great but then things changed direction and my PT got a full time office job. My trainer knew the Forge team and the transition started. Now I am a full member of this place and its fantastic. Great selection of equipment, loads and loads of choice. Staff are friendly, if you are unsure I just ask, they are more than happy to help or point me in the right direction. Facilities are great and from what I have seen all the other members have been great too. Its great being able to enjoy working out.

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic gym. As a woman it can be difficult to find a shared space that you feel comfortable in, but because everyone is so friendly and the staff and trainers are helpful and encouraging, I feel very safe here and even sometimes go on my own and people always say hi. There’s enough equipment that you don’t wait between machines and they are always adding new stuff. It is a gym for everyone and everyone is welcome. The best gym I’ve ever been a member of - I highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of loads of gyms and Forge fitness is hands down the best. Gyms can be intimidating places especially for women but the staff and members are lovely, friendly, inclusive, warm, welcoming and knowledgeable - nothing is too much trouble for them. The classes are well planned and the range of equipment is vast and well maintained. The PTs are awesome here - experienced and approachable. If you want gains get down and join - you’ll receive a warm welcome from the staff and the members.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of multiple gyms in Darlington since I was 16, Forge is the only one I’ve made any progress at or had any consistency with and that’s down to the environment. I never lifted a weight before walking into Forge, a year on I really enjoy it

Fantastic experience: Been using gyms all my life, this is by far the friendliest gym I have ever been a member of, a great bunch of members but even better, the staff and PT's are a real helpful, friendly, fun bunch of characters. There are great classes and equipment to suit everyone at all fitness levels. You will always leave this gym feeling better and stress released....can't recommend it enough.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to forge for over a year now and it's by far the best gym I've been to, and I've tried them all in Darlington. The classes are aimed at all abilities and are made fun for everyone. There's never any judgment over what you can or can't do by anyone in there. If anything, everyone spurs you on. I injured myself in rugby 9 months ago and each member of staff have been there for me to help and advise me through my recovery, and they alsi know about nutrition, which ive never seen in ither gyms. Couldn't recommend them enough.

The vast array of top-of the range equipment is second to none, the environment is very welcoming and the staff are super knowledgeable and very friendly! Whether you’re new to gym training for the first time or you’re a competitive lifter, forge is the place to be!

Fantastic experience: By far this is the best gym in town. The staff are very friendly, approachable and extremely motivational. I am not the fittest, fastest or strongest but every session the instructors encourage me to do my best and push me a little bit further in a very supportive way. I feel part of all the classes and am now doing ones I never thought I would ~I am even enjoying the running part in Hyrox. Great range of classes, lots of equipment and a great atmosphere ~ its incredible value for money.

Fantastic experience: I haven't been to a gym regularly for years, so although i have continued to train at home where i can, i was nervous about stepping back into a gym, but i needn't have been. Dave and all the staff at forge fitness are fantastic, they will help when you ask for it, but will also leave you to do your own thing if you'd rather. very glad i have joined and hope to fit in my visits around mum life as and when i can.

Negative experience: This gym is great, all equipment is really good quality and well cleaned. However this gym is occupied by extremely rude staff, quite threatening aswell - would recommend the equipment they have but the staff are disgusting and should not own a gym.

Fantastic experience: When you haven’t been to the gym for months due to illness and hectic times and the first time you return, your PT sits down with you and a coffee and talks through how you are, how they can help and plans a gentle and motivational return to exercise. Now THAT is the gym you want and Forge Fitness is the gym for you.

Fantastic experience: Best gym around. There is always a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere when you enter the gym. All the PT'S are extremely knowledgeable and you can book 1 to 1 personal sessions to help with both fitness and nutrition. Regardless of whether you are taking 1 2 1 sessions or just doing one of their many excellent classes ( included in your membership) they will happily help with any questions you may have.

Fantastic experience: I would consider flying across the world to come back to this gym. My partner and I both agreed it was the best gym we’ve ever been to. I am more into powerlifting and strongman and they had a massive array of equipment and my partner is just getting started in the gym but she felt comfortable and straight at home there. All the guys super nice and helpful. Can’t remember membership cost but it was very reasonable

I've done PT sessions and Team Training, both of which have been amazing - boosting my confidence in the gym as well as helping me to get healthier and stronger. I love that it's independent and genuinely cares about giving its members the best gym possible. Both the PTs and other members make this a welcome, supportive place and I'd recommend it to anyone

Was only going to give 4 stars but since they got a dead lift bar it's earned a extra one. Just a shame the ower can't do an ab role out from standing. Fantastic experience: There are a lot of positive reviews on here which is not a surprise. Most relaxed atmosphere of any gym I have been a member of and I have had a few. I carry a few injuries and have had really informative and helpful instruction to get the most of the gym and reduce the niggles. Kit is all top quality and the trainers are only too pleased to help (as are other members).

Fantastic experience: I've been going sine April 21 and have come on leaps and bounds. Great team, down to earth with good banter. Relaxed atmosphere is a huge positive no matter how good you are at getting fit.

Fantastic experience: I joined Forge because I felt that the diversity of classes, standard and variety of equipment offered very good value for money. Coupled with the excellent training atmosphere, no egos, not only make it a comfortable place to train but also a place where you are not afraid to train for your own sports and the different exercises that might entail.

Fantastic experience: Having not been a fan of gyms previously, I was nervous about trying a new gym. From day one, the instructors (and other members) have been supportive and informative. The classes I attend have been challenging but rewarding and fun.

Fantastic experience: I'm a middle aged woman and been a member here at Forge for a year now. From day one I was made to feel like part of the forge fitness family, there's a great atmosphere. When I started I was carrying quite a few extra pounds so I signed up with one of the personal trainers Steve Combe and now I'm nearly 2 stone down. There's always someone on hand to give you help and advice, whether it be about diet, nutrition or just what machines to use in the gym. They have a wide range of equipment and you never have to wait to use anything. Group sessions are hard work but we always manage to have a laugh and you will make life long friends here too. Parking isn't a problem either.

Fantastic experience: I'm getting some 1-1 coaching with Jordan. The equipment immaculate and kept clean after use, and Jordan is a very experienced, patient and supportive trainer.

Fantastic experience: Joined Forge Fitness in June 2020. Have loved doing the small group training with Dave. I've also tried the Boxercise Class which I can't wait for it to restart. Great friendly gym with friendly people. No posers and young kids. It's geared towards the mature person. Great New Equipment too.
