Fantastic experience: Great gym. I go around 12.30 and it's never busy so easily get on the machines I want. Great atmosphere and music level is perfect and not like being in a nightclub.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant gym I started coming during pregnancy as their personal trainers are top notch - I won’t even bother trying anywhere else now, I doubt they have the selection of equipment ascendency has, it is clean, modern, tidy, there is a culture of restacking the weights so every machine is always ready to go without having to remove other gym goers plates from the machines and owner is usually always on site ensuring everything and everyone is taken care of The gym Seems to continuously be reinvested into - the machine selection continues to grow and equipment is regularly upgraded

Fantastic experience: Pretty glad this gym popped up in my area. It offers a lot more than most gyms I’ve visited and seems to be constantly evolving. The equipment is top tier and easy to use alongside the ascendancy app. I’d deffinately recommend this gym to anyone at any point in there fitness journey.

Fantastic experience: I travel around the country for work and have trained In gyms in most cities..this is by far the best gym I've trained in. Equipment is modern and well maintained, loads of different equipment for each body part and QR codes on all machines with videos on how to use, staff and all members are friendly, welcoming and helpful, and it's extremely cool.

Fantastic experience: Decent equipment, friendly members and staff and a quieter upstairs to do cardio, yoga & HIIT. I’m an amateur bodybuilder who has competed several times and this gym is just what I need in a world of commercial gyms. Thr app lets you build-up loyalty points, lets you know how busy the gym is and enables you to suggest improvements to the gym. The bonus is it’s less than a mile from my house. Recommended

Fantastic experience: Absolutely unreal gym. I moved up to widnes area from Nottingham and was struggling to find a good gym until I come across this gym. I joined when they had only upstairs and now it’s been renovated it’s just an unreal experience. Doors are great and never need to keep asking for a fob as you use your phone to get in. Staff on reception are great. The equipment is unreal and feel solid. The dumbells feel nice to lift and use. the showers are a nice new touch too. And best of all you see the owner around which is nice as a lot of gyms you never really do so it’s nice to see him taking ideas and just checking in with members is just a nice touch. All in all couldn’t recommend this gym enough.

Fantastic experience: Ascendancy is an amazing local gym but it is also worth the travel to see from afar. With the new upgrades they have high end equipment, adding huge value to my workouts.The gym is always clean and tidy and the weights are always returned to the correct place. The vibe and the community stands out the most, the signature purple lights illuminate the gym and the friendly staff and gym members make it a great social environment also. The little attention to details is what makes this gym a great place to lift. The oversized lockers make it easy to fit a big gym bag in (a small but significant feature) and the upstairs cardio and functional training area is a big open space that makes doing cardio not feel like a chore! Overall an amazing independent gym and I’m so fortunate to have it around the corner from me! Keep up the good work!

Fantastic experience: Honestly wouldn’t even know where to start with this place… Even before the revamp, there’s not a gym nearby that comes CLOSE to the standard of Ascendancy fitness. There are many different pieces of high grade, oldskool equipment to choose and plenty of refreshments to keep me going. Clean, friendly and just an easy to work in gym. Always served a warm welcome. Couldn’t ask for any better from a gym. Top people

Fantastic experience: After a 4 month absence from exercising due to illness I was looking for a new challenge that would enable me to grow, sustain and develop myself both physically and mentally. Having done my homework I really liked what I had seen, heard and read about Ascendancy so I decided to give it a go and have never looked back. The place has a great welcoming vibe, lots of equipment and the staff are great and always on hand to help or advise. Honestly, joining Ascendancy has been the best move I have made … growing physically and mentally every day

Positive experience: Fab location as only 10 walk from my home! It’s great in the morning as nice and quiet. The only thing that is slightly irritating is people leave weights on the machine so you don’t know if they’re finished! It takes time up having to strip each piece of equipment down! Really bad gym etiquette!

Fantastic experience: A hidden gem. There’s a good mix of Watson, Matrix, and Powerzone kit in this place. And a surprisingly extensive selection of cardio kit. The only downside is the weird metal plates and lack of a power bar for anyone lifting heavier. But otherwise a great space with a clean aesthetic to boot!

Positive experience: Great gym, best I’ve used locally. They have such great equipment to fit all needs and such welcoming staff. Let down is the current lack of wifi and lockers. Apart from these two features, the rest I would consider perfect.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym. Never usually fully packed except peak hours, beginner friendly, not judgemental at all. Some very kind people even helped me with my bad form when I first started. Highly recommend. Plus it has everything you need equipment wise and a great selection of protein drinks and snacks. 5 stars.
