Fantastic experience: Delicious food! Amazing flavours and big portions. The miso mushroom toast, and the tofu egg and cress were so good. We loved it and very relaxed inside with pur children too.

Negative experience: I was so excited to come across this cafe with my daughter and my niece as we love plant based businesses and always support them but oh dear… When walked in we were totally ignored and the atmosphere from the staff was not a friendly energy… I stood at the till to make my order and yes you guessed it , I was totally ignored.. to the point I actually nearly left but a woman did eventually come over. We sat down and we were all thinking the same thing, drink up and leave, another couple sat to the left of us left without making an order- they were saying the same things as we were. I didn’t even finish my drink! Very unfriendly and rather hostile little place, we all agreed that we would go back to the Bluebird Tea Cafe in future, they offer such a warm and friendly welcome, so much vegan food too! This place ruined our Saturday vibe! I would not return or recommend to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Great little vegan café in Great Malvern. There were open later they advertised which was great for a late lunch. The food was excellent and the apple juice was so fresh. They even have a loyalty scheme if you go regularly. Staff were friendly and food was quick, I'll go back again.

Fantastic experience: The food here is so good I had to come back !! First I came during the week and went for the fritters, the flavour was so good it went together so well, the hollandaise was exceptional and really tied the whole dish together. I came back on a Sunday morning and the place was incredibly busy, which was a little stressful as I'd sat down and then ended up being trapped in but moved outside (although later found out they had seating upstairs!!) which would have been useful to know sooner. Anyways it was a gorgeous sunny day and I appreciate they were busy cause it was a very good place! The pancakes were one of the prettiest dishes I have ever been served. I do consider myself a pancake connoisseur and I have to say that the pancakes themselves didnt have that much flavour however what they served it with was wonderful the cream had a gorgeous almond taste and the cherry jam was sooo yummy (would have happily had a little more) and the bakewell crumble was divine. Id definitely try more of their dishes if I got the opportunity to do so!

Fantastic experience: Great cafe with lots of options to eat. The coffee was really good I had an Americano. The food was so tasty and came quickly. The staff were really nice and helpful. The setting is really nice we sat outside in the sun.

Fantastic experience: We dropped in for a wake-up shake-up smoothie, but the food smelled so good we ended up sharing a small plate of scrambled tofu on gluten free toast. It was absolutely delicious! So lucky to have this on our doorstep.

Fantastic experience: What an incredible little cafe! It's a 3 person show with 1 on the tills, 1 cooking everything and 1 making the drinks I don't know how they manage to make such wonder food at speed! We ended up ordering even more after finishing because it was just that good. Out of all the dishes are group tried the best 2 where the rainbow pancakes and the Tofu Egg cress sandwich which we got another serving off because of how good it was. All the staff were incredibly friendly and we'd definitely visit again if we were in the area.

Positive experience: Tasty food but we experienced very poor service. It was somewhat busy on the day we visited, though not heaving. We queued and ordered food at the counter and were told it would be about 30 minutes. 30 minutes later we were told they didn't in fact have enough of what we ordered, so we'd have to change our order. Instead of taking our adjustment, however, we were told to go back to the bar and queue to re-order! We did this, standing in line for a few more minutes (the queue wasn't long, but they were being extremely slow at serving people) to change our order to something they had in stock. This should only have taken a moment, but the staff insisted we stand there while they struggled with their computer system to put the change in. Why did we need to stand there while they did this? No idea, but they insisted. They could surely have made a note of the change and put it in later when the computer was cooperating, or even just turned around and told the cook of the change - it's only one room, the cook was in touching distance. Instead we stood waiting for a few more minutes. This was a bit annoying already, but ten minutes after we'd sat down again they came to our table to tell us that another meal on our order was not in stock, and yet again we had to queue, then stand at the bar for five full minutes just to say 'omelette, I guess, since you've no burgers' while the member of staff fiddled furiously with their iPad. By this time, an hour after we'd first ordered and having spent twenty minutes standing up to fix their mess, our food finally arrived. Well, actually, three of the four people's food did. The omelette needed longer, apparently. It sure did! The last person's meal arrived several minutes after the rest of us had finished. The food was very tasty! Though the jackfruit fish and chips we had were portioned a little meagerly. I've given them two stars for service as they were at least friendly, though unfortunately our whole experience was soured by the service.

Fantastic experience: Popped into Rise after looking for somewhere with GF options after a long walk in the hills today. So glad we found it as the food was amazing! I had a gluten free BBQ jackfruit sandwich and could have happily ordered another one if we didn't have to shoot off. Also we took away a GF choc cake which was super tasty. Will happily go back and recommend it to others.

Fantastic experience: We don't have anything negative to say about this place! Great coffee, great food, friendly staff, cosy atmosphere, and great value for money. We're very lucky to have a great plant-based restaurant in Malvern! They are also dog friendly :)

Fantastic experience: We visited Rise after a lovely long walk on The Malverns. It is only a small place but we were made very welcome. The food was superb: "the best full English breakfast I've ever had" was one opinion. The tofu (egg) and cress sandwich was great and my burger was amazing. We loved our smoothies and coffees and the dessert (salted caramel chocolate tart) rounded things off perfectly. Everyone should go to this little gem of a place! The music playlist was brilliant as well :-)

Fantastic experience: Fancy a hearty meal after a hard morning's hike in the Malvern Hills? This is the place with an entirely vegan menu full of breakfast and lunch items (there's even dinner on Friday evenings). Rise is a small cafe with indoor and outdoor tables. The interior decor has a lovely summery feel to it and feels welcoming from the get-go. Upon arrival you can sit where you like; the separate food and drinks menus are at the till and once you've decided you can put an order in at the same place where one of the two lovely female staff will take your order. If paying by card, they accept AmEx. They use seasonal fresh produce for their food, and my does it show: Not only are their dishes beautifully presented when they arrive, they taste incredible too - I had the cooked breakfast which had such a good range of flavours and textures, from the crispy toast to the flavoursome scrambled tofu, complemented by soft avocado slices and beans. After a bit of a workout you can get Vivo Protein powder added to a smoothie - I had the Green Goddess which was delicious and just the right level of thickness. In terms of the rest of the cafe, there's an all-gender toilet at the back. Be wary there's a step at the entrance door to overcome if you're in a wheelchair. Overall, an excellent place in Great Malvern to solve your hunger during the day. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I really loved Rise, only wish it was closer from where I live. I spent 3 days in Malvern and came here 4 times! I think it looks nice and relaxing, the service was friendly and the food is very good. We really enjoyed the aubergine curry and cauliflower bites from dinner menu. I think that chickpea omlet from day time menu was great and my favourite was tofu and cress sandwich. So simple but so absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed an interesting selection of drinks. Most items were either gluten free or could be ordered in a gluten-free option. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: Me and my wife went for lunch at Rise on 11th of August as we have been wanting to visit for awhile. The place looks nice and there is a good choice of food options for vegetarians. But sadly we were disappointed. We both had the two different pancake options as they seemed interesting compared to normal pancakes. My rainbow pancakes tasted nice and went well with the added mango and pineapple. However my wife’s pancakes were under cooked. The staff kindly replaced them but the tone when asking us if the new ones were ok kinda sounded like our fault. Sadly the negatives we found didn’t stop there. The many house plants at Rise looks lovely and we are all for them, but the amount of black flies that were coming off them was terrible and we had to move tables due to flies constantly landing on me. The other problem we noticed was cleanliness. The floor, skirting boards, toilet etc. all needed a good clean and didn’t seem like the place (not sure about the kitchen) was well cleaned after closing each day. While we don’t think Rise is bad more like average. If we were to go again, we certainly wouldn’t have the pancakes. Unfortunately I’m not sure that we will go again.

Fantastic experience: A cheeky find as my planned restaurant was closed! Outstanding place. Understood coeliac perfectly. Lots of gluten free options on the menu… and the remainder apart from wrap options was gluten free option. Would definitely recommend and come again. We sat outside which was on a slight slope, but was fine, would have been a bit more challenging if you weren’t steady on your feet. Plenty of seating inside and dogs welcomed.

Fantastic experience: Rise is a rare and wonderful discovery, slightly hidden away in the heart of Malvern Vegans are fairly well catered for nowadays, but whole-food fully plant based meals that are so well nutritionally balanced are staggeringly difficult to find. Rise is hands down the best place we have found for whole-food plant based choice. This is a cafe for everyone; the food is fresh and healthy but is not weird or unfamiliar. The owners have clearly taken great care to create menus with high nutritional value and great flavours. This is *not* junk vegan food. The food looks and tastes like real food, and is beautifully presented. Rise serves healthy food at its finest. We visit several times a month and over the past year have tried almost everything from the menu; it is all excellent and always beautifully presented. The staff clearly enjoy their work and are friendly and professional. It is a very happy place to go for a drink or a meal and we are so glad that Rise will be open weekly on Friday evenings too now.

Fantastic experience: I’ve eaten at Rise quite a few times and every time the food has been so delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. I love stopping by “just” for coffee (though I can never resist the cake and often end up having a delicious cake too!). My daughter (who is a picky eater) loves the breakfast pots and smoothies and Rise is her favourite cafe :) Atmosphere is always so chilled and staff very friendly and attentive. I am very excited to try dinner this Friday as they are starting simple dinners - an amazing idea as Malvern needs good places to eat out in the evenings. Also, I am gluten free and there are always plenty of options for me. So happy to have such a great cafe in my local area, such a unique place… Thank you Rise!! x

Negative experience: I usually head here first whenever I am back in Worcestershire. So, as before, I checked the opening times on the website and google (9am), got here at 9:45, to be told by the staff inside that it isn't open until 10am this week. There's no opening hours sign outside, and I'll come back to this. Returned shortly after 10am. One other couple ahead of me. Ordered my usual oatmilk latte, and a fairy cake, though thought £7.15 was somewhat steep. Sat down and waited. A man arrived and ordered. Original couple had their food. Then the man who ordered after me was given his food (perhaps because he knew the staff?). Then mine, 20+ minutes later, arrived. Again it was just a latte and a cupcake from the stand of them on the counter. Was given just a napkin for the cupcake so it was messy to eat (the person after me, who ordered a slice of cake and was served quickly, got his on a plate). On leaving, queried how much my order was and, after some admin, I had been overcharged. I did get a refund for the difference. Left, a bit dispirited by the experience. The most annoying thing is that this was NOT the first time I've turned up within the opening hours to find the cafe was closed until later, but the owners hadn't bothered to change the website, or put a notice of any kind on the door. Sadly (I want to like and use this place, but see above) I'm going to look for other, more reliable, options for vegetarian and vegan coffees, cakes and meals on future trips to Malvern.

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful place to experience the world of fantastic vegan food. I ve tried a new dish each time I ve been. A taste sensation each time, accompanied with lovely service on every occasion.

Positive experience: Tasty vegan food. Lovely staff. The reason I gave 4* rather than 5* is mainly due to the cost. We were charged £12 for a child size portion of pancakes with syrup. They were very small and I feel that was expensive. The presentation was excellent overall and food was very good.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been coming to the cafe fairly regularly for about a year now and we started our yoga classes with Love last autumn. I must wholeheartedly say Rise is only going from strength to strength! From intricate vegan menus and amazing smoothies to mindful movement classes, this is the place to go for holistic health. Fantastic experience: Besides the breathtaking view of Malvern Hills, this genuine and welcoming little vegan café was the highlight of our stay. Both my partner and I are huge foodies trying different vegan cuisines wherever we go, and Rise Plant Kitchen made us rethink of what we thought of delicious breakfasts. From their protein boosted omelette (which is THE right way to start your day) through their fully loaded toast and mind-blowing hollandaise covered phenomenon we finished our indulgence with their simply beautiful rainbow pancake. In the top of that their drink selection is one of a kind - just like their service. 5 stars and a heart is my final rating. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: I have attended classes at Rise for a while now, and I couldn't be happier. The studio is a beautiful space, and classes are just the right size to make it feel intimate and personal. My classes are led by Molly, who is an amazing trainer. She is incredibly knowledgeable and motivating, making workouts both effective and enjoyable. The classes provide a challenge while ensuring each person is working and their own level and are able to modify exercises as needed.

Fantastic experience: The worst part about moving away from Malvern is no longer having this gem around the corner. Since they opened in February it has been a home from home. The beautifully curated yoga practices in their tranquil studio never failed to brighten my day, especially when followed by the best coffee! Whether you are looking for coffee, food or classes, you can't go wrong with Rise!

Fantastic experience: This place came recommended by locals and oh my goodness the food and coffee is divine! The coconut latte is genuinely the best latte I have ever had. They have a lovely choice of interesting lattes and adaptogenic hot drinks. We got the Bali burger (peanut butter tempeh) which we must try and make at home as it was mouth watering, and the Earth bowl which was beautifully prepared. The chef is very talented here, and the team are lovely and welcoming. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Wow, what a find. Found Rise by accident and so glad I did. Its a new place and nice and fresh and bright with very helpful staff who were very knowledgeable (even with my allergies), I had the Dahl which was very good. I'll visit again when next near Malvern.
