Fantastic experience: My daughter currently goes to the Muay Thai classes. The instructor Hamza and his colleagues are excellent. Hamza communicates really well with the kids, provides clear instructions, commands respect and discipline. My autistic son was also enrolled for a bit and I was impressed how Hamza recognised his need for a different way of instruction for him. General great atmosphere and everyone seems to enjoy themselves

The enviroment is safe, training partners are respectful and supportive, and the coach does a great job on focusing on technique whilst pushing you harder. Ladies come along and give it a try.

Positive experience: this place is a great place to train, it’s not the best in luton in terms of equipment and space but i had trained with UA since 2017 and they’re always looking to grow and improve. they have improved from the past and i believe they will continue to do so. the ladies side of things could definitely do with more attention, that hasn’t improved as much as the rest of the gym over the years, however there have been improvements still. it’s a gym that’s worth giving a chance, most of the people there are lovely and friendly too. i had to deduct a star for the lower standard of hygiene compared to the other gyms i’ve used, but that’s easily fixed, just needs a bit more attention tbh. i deducted another as i almost worked for the gym, i wont go into details as i don’t wanna deter anyone from training here, but just don’t ever accept a “job” from the owner lol iykyk all in all, not a terrible place to train :)

Fantastic experience: I can confidently say that ultimate athlete is the greatest gym I have been to. It provides a friendly atmosphere that can not be experienced anywhere else. Before going to ultimate athlete I was very shy and timid but thankfully when I made the decision to go to ultimate athlete I was able to find a confidence that I had never experienced before. I saw my self esteem rise and felt much better about myself overall. Ultimate athlete has changed my life for the better and has given me a purpose. Fantastic experience: Have been training here for a couple months now after being persuaded by a close friend. The slogan ''Become an Ultimate Athlete'' does not disappoint! Training sessions are structured extremely well and bring out the best in you. I have been to combat sport gyms in the past and a lot of the time you get a lot of egotistical people in there. However, at UA there is a divine sense of community and family within the facility. Top coaches within each bracket (MMA, BJJ, Wrestling, Thai) all with amazing teaching styles and are very much role models to look up to. The gym is very clean and spacious allowing more than one class to be run at a time. The session times accommodate for the average working person so that is always an extra win too. Would 100% recommend, even if you haven't a clue about combat sports and not sure where to start. This is the place to go!

It is the perfect place for a working mum to get fit, as the kids class is at the same time as the ladies only class. Making it very convenient to drop off, have my own class and pick up. Fantastic experience: With the limited time I have had there I have nothing but kind words towards the gym, the coach and the other students. Having not done a martial art since I was a child I was very grateful to be partnered with someone experienced enough to help/advise me when the coach was keeping an eye on the whole class. The workout/warmup before left me burning in the all the best ways. The sparring was well balanced. Even the email correspondence I had with them was concise and helpful in answering my questions. Absolutely brilliant place.

Positive experience: Staff here are very friendly and welcoming. I went for a free session however and do not have the best experience. The instructor was lovely, although quite late. The Ladies Only Muay Thai class was down is a dark derelict basement room. It was freezing cold and the ceiling was constantly dripping. Everyone just laughed it off and said my feet would get numb. The session itself was good, although some of the other group members seemed quite stand off ish. I don’t think these are things that can’t be fixed. They have a good thing going, just tweaks need to be made.

Fantastic experience: A team of coaches that specialise in different crafts such as mma, wrestling, boxing and bjj, and what they share in common is the passion they have to teach and see students grow from beginner to high level. Coach Hamza who is also the owner has been very welcoming and hospitable and has on many occasions in a bjj session with Coach Pablo helped me understand how to execute various complex techniques if I needed that extra help. Another thing that reaffirmed Coach Hamza’s hospitality is when I walked in early to the gym to him teaching kids bjj and saw how kind and encouraging he was to the children. I have trained in the mma and wrestling sessions under the guidance of Coach Ali who has displayed how much he cares about students getting it right. The warm up sessions can sometimes be long but I find it excellent for conditioning and staying injury free.

Fantastic experience: Great place for kids to gain social skills, its a great work out for them its great to see mine off there computers and phones,and taking part in training and growing in confidence. my 2 love coming to all the Brazilian jiu-jitsu the wrestling and the kick boxing they haven’t been able to pick a favourite, but they did said the kick boxing is the hardest. Great coach very attentive and knows what he’s talking about and always makes sure the kids understand the assignment. Safe and friendly very welcoming and didnt push for the membership.

Fantastic experience: Amazing vibes, friendly atmosphere and the best staff. People there are definitely making the place really special. Everyone is so approachable and just kind and what is also important, the sessions are fun and well-organised, but extremely hard (maybe just for me cause I am a newbie but still!). They really want everyone to catch the technique not just show it and do it however you want. They care for you to learn everything properly which I think is amazing. Honestly there is nothing wrong I could point out maybe except the lack of space, there could be tight sometimes because there are quite a few people coming in which also tells how good and popular this place is. I highly recommend to everyone to try themselves in any of those martial arts that ultimate athlete offers. Absolutely worth it, you don’t need any experience, they will show you everything. 10/10

Have to say Coach Humza has been very inspiring and definitely quite meticulous when it came to my mistakes, so he’s helped me grow very quickly. Fantastic experience: My stepson attends UA for kickboxing and wrestling on the weekend. Coach Hamza has an excellent rapport with the kids, and my child really enjoys the classes and through the club he has enjoyed ‘inter club’ practice bouts in Kickboxing and BJJ. It’s also worth mentioning that the club is involved with various youth/community outreach projects, opening their doors for free sessions on certain days for those who qualify for the criteria. Essential in keeping young people occupied and off the streets. In a tough town that has had to carry a heavy reputation over the years, you can clearly see Black, White and Asian people of various backgrounds and nationalities training together, forming bonds and friendships that may last a lifetime, through their mutual love of martial arts & fitness. Nice to see it first hand! And finally, ladies only classes on most days!

Fantastic experience: For context, I am an 18 year old student studying at the local university and have just had my first class of MMA. I have a background in karate and boxing. I have been watching UFC/MMA for a few years and always found the wrestling and BJJ aspect very interesting and also wanted to stay fresh with the punching and kicking ability I already have. So I decided to try MMA! None of my friends here in Luton have any interest in MMA so I would have to make the trip to the gym by my self which was very daunting. However, every coach and student was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. The session was great for fitness! I never knew how physically demanding wrestling is and it was super fun. I didn't realise how hard I worked until I was cramping up on my walk to the bus stop. I had a great time when I went and look forward to going again!

And you can train each discipline with an option of 3-6x a week depending on what you want to focus on. Deffo not a mcdojo, all coaches are legit with black belts and credentials.

Fantastic experience: I contacted the gym through the website and was impressed by the quick response, answering all my questions. I wanted to train again but had to find somewhere that did early morning sessions. Ultimate athlete has that. Had a trial session after being away from the mat for a long time. I almost forgot how tiring Grappling is but enjoyed it and can’t wait to go back again. Gym has a nice big matted area and plenty of other equipment if striking is more your thing. The guys were welcoming and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely train there again.

Even as the only girl I am treated equally and respectfully from everyone. Great atmosphere! I really think more ladies should join, you certainly won't be disappointed with the variety of martial arts classes that will whip you into shape, give you some great self defence skills and work that core superfast.

Fantastic experience: Before starting training here I was super unhealthy, demotivated and letting life pass by. I decided I wanted to change that and get back to good fitness and feel like myself again. I had tried numerous diets and things but had no consistency doing so as I had little to no guidance. All changed when I got introduced to Ultimate Athlete Academy where I met head coach Hamza, who is hands down the best coach I’ve had since high school days when my fitness was a lot better. He has all the attributes of a very good coach and he takes it a step further as a great coach as he understood my situation and helped me at my own pace while also pushing me to my potential. I travel 45 minutes just to train at this gym because it is worth it. Highly recommend to pop down and get your first session free!!
